Prologue: A Great Tragedy

Amongst the multitude of galaxies, each bursting with light of the many millions of stars inhabiting their cloudy tendrils. In the midst of the bright inviting stars, cold harsh void, and everything in between, lay a dot, miniscule, unnoticeable to the outside universe. It was one of millions like it, being born the harsh planetary nursery of a middle aged star, slowly developing into its own rocky body, covered in hardening magma like most terrestrial planets. On this planet a meteor collided, this meteor would be the first of many meteors to hit this planet. Unlike the other meteors this brought something different. It brought the building blocks of proteins and RNA. These innocuous substances slowly developed into DNA, and then... Life. Slowly and surely these small single celled organisms developed, whilst the planet watched them grow and slowly set their roots into the earth. Millions of years passed, these little creatures developed onwards to wherever mutations would take them. Then, something shocking happened, the first signs of sapience burst forth in the form of the homo genus. If there was someone watching them this would appear as watching a babies first steps into the wilderness of heightened thoughts. The continued to develop and evolve, overcoming tonnes of barricades. Their actions seemed to be good for them, soon they came to the realization that they were hurting the hand that fed them, but it was too late. Nuclear War spread amongst those nations formed on the green earth, it was green no more. In a last ditch attempt a group of humans boarded the white ship and wiped there memories. The last thing they heard was, "We are going Nowhere". The hummingbird egg replaced those wiped memories with fabricated memories based on certain jobs they would perform. Then developed a small village named Tazmilly.

Thus we move onto one of the many life stories of little tazmilly, Lucas.

The sunbeams traveled through the crack in the window, preparing to do their job of arousing people from their sleep. On most days they would successfully perform it's job, today was not one of those days. As they began to creep in on the sleeping child's eyelids, a loud cacophony traveled up the stairs.

"Lucas! Do you want to go play with the dragos? I'm gonna go without you if you don't come down!" The blaring noise yelled from downstairs with a childish voice, rattling Lucas' eardrums.

Lucas, woken by the annoying sound rushing in to his ear drums, slowly rose from the bed. Stretching his small arms out wide behind him, he pulled off the covers and stepped onto the cold hardwood flooring. He slowly stepped towards the mirror, each step sounding out with a satisfying thunk and a chill down his spine. Slowly approaching the foggy mirror, he grabbed the white velvety cloth lying on top of his dresser. He then slowly wiped away the thin layer of water vapor from the oval mirror. Slowly pulling his thin fingers through his matted blonde hair, he flattened it out. Then grabbing some hair creme from the left side of the mirror, and the brush from the other side, he applied it to the comb. Then, taking the comb, he ran it through his hair, making conforming it to one big spike of blonde hair sticking out from the front of his head.

Appeased with the way he looked, Lucas meandered slowly over to the dresser. Reaching his destination, he started to unbutton his blue and white striped pajamas. Then pulling open the mahogany drawers he found his favorite red and yellow shirt and cut jeans; nicely organized and folded up. Slowly reaching in he pulled out the clothing handmade by his mom, and started to dress himself.

As he was doing that he heard a loud growl from his stomach, "Must be time for breakfast" he thought to himself. Then he continued plodding along across the cold dry flooring.

"Oh hello there sleepy head, it's good to see that you finally cleaned the cobwebs out of your head, silly" Hinawa calmingly greeted Lucas as he walked downstairs. "I made your favorite today to celebrate the last day of staying here, omelets!"

Upon reaching the bottom of the stairs, Lucas was immediately greeted by the wafting scents of omelets dancing heavenly on his nose. Slowly, in a rather cartoony fashion, he started to stumble over to the omelets. Upon reaching there however, his brain decided that it would play second fiddle to his stomach for now, he let go of his manners and started to bite and tear into his omelets.

Hinawa chuckled to herself, "The best way to get to a man was to go through his stomach."

Lucas, who had finally felt the powers of hunger dissipate from his body slumped down with an impressively happy grin.

"Satisfied, are we?" Hinawa questioned humorously. "Anyways I think its time we head back to Tazmily village, your father must be missing us dearly at this point."

Lucas was too busy experiencing the euphoria that the omelets brought to his senses to care.

Hinawa went back over to the writers desk inside and took out a scroll, quill and ink. Being careful not to spill any ink anywhere, Hinawa scrawled these words,

Dear Flint,

Just like you said they would the children have been running around the mountains and fields tirelessly since the moment we arrived.

Claus is daring and full of energy as ever, while Lucas is still a bit coddled. But neither one seems tired of playing at all.

My father seems sad to say goodbye to his grandchildren after seeing them for a first time in so long, but we should be home by this evening.

I had forgotten how nice and refreshing the mountain air is. You’re always covered in the smell of sheep back in Tazmily Village, so I really wish you could have been here to take in this air.

The next time we visit, let’s ask one of the neighbors to tend to the sheep so we could all come up here as a family.

Claus, Lucas, and I were always thinking about you. When we get home this evening, I’ll start cooking some of your favorite omelets right away

.

With love, your dearest Hinawa."

Rolling that note up into a scroll, she waltzed outside and tied it around the carrier pigeons foot.

Getting down on one knee, Hinawa bent over to the pigeons ear and whispered, "Make sure this gets to flint"

Walking back inside, She snuck up behind Lucas and yelled,

"BOO!"

This clearly snapping Lucas out of his self induced coma and causing him to look around in a panic until he lain his eyes on his mom. Her sight alone had helped ease him into a more calm state.

"Come on silly, we need to go pick up Claus from the dragos, he can't stay there all day, now can he?" She questioned with a motherly tone of voice.

Lucas, quickly agreeing to his mothers word, got out of his chairs and wiped off all the crumbs and food bits that soiled his shirt and pants. His mother skipped out quickly through the front door while he followed shortly. Once outside Lucas had stopped suddenly as he collided with his mother who was looking out at the Sunshine Forest to the north-left. However, instead of getting the nice and gentle picturesque feel of the forest, all he could see was a huge plume of smoke rising form the charred remains of the trees.

"I hope that fire doesn't get too large, or else we may not be able to even return home." Hinawa mentioned with a gentle sigh and heavy head.

They then continued their excursion out to find Claus, the red plateau expanding out for a little while and ending with jagged footsteps. Upon reaching half way through, a scream reached the drums of their ears.

"Oh God, that sounds like Claus! Come on Lucas, wherever he is we have to go find him and save him." Hinawa half yelled half panicked herself into a shiver

Hinawa and Lucas, worried for her son and his brother's safety broke into a run towards the the direction advised by the screams echo. It was not long until they got their blessing, Claus came running out of one of the openings with the look on his face, a look that had just seen hell and decided to get out of there as fast as he could. Slowing down his pace, Claus stopped in front of the two and wheezed until he could catch his breath

"T-t-th-there's something wrong with the d-d-dr-dragos!" He stuttered quickly.

Before he could finish his sentence, a large roar echoed upon the huge plateau. Upon hearing the scream all three of them turned around sharply and gasped at what they saw.

A large green bipedal dinosaur with red spikes down its spine, was approaching them. Upon that drago was massive metallic sheets, covering its tail, a mechanically replaced leg, and it's eye was replaced by a cold soul-less blue eye. Its scanners centered themselves upon the three people.

Hinawa, fearing for her life and the life of her children shoved Lucas and Claus away and yelled, "Claus, Lucas, RUN! Find shelter, Don't worry about me, I'll be fine!"

Hesitating, and taking one last look back at his mother, Lucas and Claus dove into a bush and watched and waited. Hinawa was standing there facing the mecha-drago head on, waiting for the next move. Out of the blue, the mecha-drago, roared and charged straight at the lone woman standing there. When skull connected with her body she got sent flying across the plateau like a rag doll.

Lucas and Claus, upon seeing that happen, caused something to snap inside them. They started wailing, tears streaming down his face. Their mom had been snapped in front of them, the one person that made the boys feel safe. Lucas felt open, weak, exposed to every element bearing down on the earth. The emotional overload was too much for the poor boy, as he just fell over, catatonic. Claus, on the other hand went through every shade of anger and rage possible. Claus in the midst of all the anger, ran out of the bush. Picking up a rock he found lying on the ground he threw it with all his might at the mechanical beast. The rock, no matter how emotionally infused, only served to piss off the beast and reveal his location.

Turning slowly the mech snorted a steam plume of anger before charging at Claus, knocking him harmlessly into the river that lay beyond the bush. As it was now in close proximity of the bush, its enhanced hearing picked up faint sobbing from the bush. Approaching the bush and ripping it off, it stared at the shell of its previous target. Slowly the beast haunched over the boy and brought down its jaws over the child's head.

Before it could rip off the head, the stars above had combined into a star constellation. From the very middle of that star constellation came a bright white space laser with tendrils of rainbow-colored strands encircling it. It brought itself down upon the curled up, teary eyed little boy. and as quick as they came, they vanished. The mecha-drago, being blinded by the rainbow snapped out of his senses and looked down towards the spot where his prey had lain, it vanished.
