Five years ago, Princess Luna, believing that her sister's Solar Federation is corrupt, has created the New Lunar Republic to overthrow the Solar Federation and dethrone her sister.
The Main Six, once united in all they did, have taken their sides in the war. Three fight for the Federation, the other three fight for the Republic.
In five years, the New Lunar Republic has captured numerous star systems from the Federation. It now stands posed to attack the Federation's capital city, Canterlot.
Luna, now the Republic's Premier, believes that a surgical strike, aimed at taking Canterlot, will bring the Federation to its knees.
Now, for the first time in five years, the Main Six, divided by war, will meet. Not in peace under a single banner, but on the battlefield, fighting for the side they believe will win the war.
