This is a story based on my nightmares that I’ve had for the past week and a bit. I’ve tried to write down as much as I could remember, but alas, my mind is still a fog.
The sun beamed brightly over Ponyville. It was a glorious day; the air was a perfect temperature. The trees were blooming, as were the flowers, there was a cool breeze in the air and the animals were happily frolicking in the meadows. “Oh no! I’m late! Gosh how could I be this careless!” screamed Rainbow Dash, Interrupted from her nap. “Pinkie Pie specifically asked me to be at Sugarcube Corner this afternoon! I better fly there fast, knowing Pinkie she’ll be pretty mad if I don’t show up!” Rainbow Dash fluffed her wings, took stance and flew off, high into the clouds. Knowing that she was the fastest flyer in all of Ponyville, she took the scenic route, but this time she wanted to do it faster than ever before. 10 seconds flat, to be precise. She raced through the Everfree forest, dodging branches and bushes alike. She eventually broke free of the Everfree forest and soared towards Ponyville. Knocking over carts and shop stalls as she raced past them, she gave a slight chuckle and a meaningful “sorry!” to the other ponies. Meanwhile standing in the street was a lonesome Pinkie Pie, waiting anxiously for Rainbow Dash to arrive. She looked at the clock tower, 1:28pm. Biting her lip she secretly hoped she’d get here in time. “Woooah! Look out!” There was a loud crash that could be heard throughout the streets.
When the dust settled from the crash, it revealed that it was Rainbow Dash, upside down on Pinkie Pie. “Heh heh heh, sorry about that Pinkie, I was just testing out a new trick!” She flashed a nervous smile towards Pinkie Pie. Pinkie’s eyes widened and she had a huge smile on her face. “Oh my gosh you’re finally here! I mean like, it was silly of me to think that the fastest flyer in all of Ponyville, would be late to my surprise, did you ever think that you were going to be late, I mean well duh, obviously you thought you were going to be late because you already are late! Have you ever noticed how the word late rhymes with lots of things? Late, hate, skate, rate, slate, wait, cra-“ Rainbow Dash slapped her hoof over her mouth. “Enough Pinkie! Just show me what you wanted me to see! I have to get back to clearing the sky later. Ponyvilles counting on me!” Pinkie let out a loud sigh.
“Fine we can go inside Sugarcube corner now, c’mon skip with me!”
“Yeah, skipping is not really my thing, I’ll just walk.”
“Aw come on! Skipping is great fun! This one time I skipped all the way from Canterlot to Ponyville and I was like so tired, but then I skipped home and ate some cupcakes and everything was better. Ooh did you know that if you wanted to skip from Ponyville to Canterlot it would take almost four hours? That’s a long was just fo-“
“FINE I’LL SKIP! JUST STOP TALKING!”
As the two skipped into Sugarcube corner, the sight of sparkly cupcakes and cakes decorated with shiny gemstones and glitter overwhelmed Rainbow Dash. The smell in the shop was much sweeter than it usually was, Everything was organized and had their own place in the shop. “Pinkie Pie! Wow! The shop is so… so clean. It’s all organized and the cupcakes and all the cakes are just… Great job Pinkie, you’ve really outdone yourself this time.” Rainbow Dash was shocked, she’d never seen Sugarcube corner this clean. The floors were usually dusty and the sweets were never this well presented. “Pinkie how did you get the shop so clean? It was a mess yesterday, and the cupcakes… Oh look at that one! That looks exactly like Rarity’s cutie mark! They look so good! You must have had somepony to help you with all of this!” Rainbow Dash asked. “Oh yeah! Rarity was over just before you came and she helped me make all these pretty cakes and sweets! We were having lots of fun before I had to-“ Pinkie Pie stopped in the middle of her sentence. Her eyes darted all over the room. “Before you had to… What?” Rainbow Dash asked Pinkie.
“N-n-nothing, Before I had to, um… Clean the place. Yeah that’s it, clean.” Pinkie said nervously.
“Well, whatever you say Pinkie. Oh that’s right what was it that you wanted to show me?” Rainbow Dash Asked. “Oh nothing Dashie, hey look at that wall, look what’s on it!”
“Uh Pinkie? What am I looking at, I don’t see what’s so special about this wa- Ouch!” she felt a sharp prick in the side of her neck. Her vision started to fade, and she felt weak. “Pinkie… I’ll get you… for… this…”
I had that dream for around 2-3 days
“Thanks for bringing her in Pinkie, that will be all.”
“mmm. M-mmm? MMM! MMMPH!”
“That gag on your mouth prevents you from talking.” I whisper to her. “more importantly it prevents you from saying no… haha!”
I look over Rainbow Dashes body, she’s sweating all over, her hair is standing on edge and she’s crying. I walk into the back room and wheel out a table with surgical tools strewn across it. The wheels creak as I inch forward towards Rainbow Dash. She sees the table and closes her eyes tight and whimpers. “What’s the matter? Scared of a few rusty saws and knives?” I pick up one of the knives and run it against her cheek. She struggles in her restraints. “Shhhh, it’ll be all over in half an hour. I just want an experiment and a few questions out of you, is all. Now describe this feeling to me, as best you can.” I sink the knife into her left hind leg, it glides in effortlessly, despite being rusted. “MMMMMMMPH!” Rainbow Dash cries harder and tries to break free of the restraints holding her back. Her wings flap outwards and she tries to fly. “Try that again and I’ll break it. I’ll break both of them.” Tears were streaming down her face, screams now a muffled whimper. “There. Now who’s a pretty pony? Who’s a pretty pony? Here I’ll let you answer me yourself” I remove the gag from her mouth and she slowly looks up at me. Her eyes are bloodshot, her legs covered in blood. “SOMEPONY HELP ME, I’M BEING HELD AGAINST MY WI-“ I shove the gag back in her mouth, grab a knife and lift her chin up with it, lift it up close to my face. “Silly Rainbow Dash. You know what we do to naughty ponies right?”
“MMMPH! Mmm?”
“That’s right! They get punished!”
Slam! I drop an electrical generator on the table in front of her. I connect the alligator clips to the positive and negative terminal and grab the alligator clips on the ends of the wire. I touch the two together and Orange sparks fly everywhere, a deafening crackle of electricity fills the small room. Her eyes widen at the sight, and she screams louder than before. “Nuh uh uh.” I grab the knife and hold it in front of her face. “Remember what happens to ponies that squeal? Just keep that in mind, the electricity doesn’t hurt much until 75 volts. You ready for this? Because I am!” I flash a sly grin and touch the two clips to her body. She jumps from the shock.
“Aw come on Rainbow Dash! That was barely 50 volts! You’re a strong pony, don’t you remember telling Applejack that you were the Iron Pony? But I guess that Iron conducts electricity better than your own body, so maybe that’s why you’re feeling it. 75 Volts!” The generator hums loudly and I shove the clips into Rainbow Dash’s stomach. She jumps higher than before but doesn’t make a sound. “Hey it looks like you’re learning not to scream! You’re smarter than I originally thought! Let’s try 100, shall we?” Once again I shove the clips into her stomach. Still it’s dead quiet, only the crackle of electricity fills the air. She struggles against the leather straps holding her down to the table, as I take the gag off I ask her “Now Rainbow Dash, are you going to be cooperative?”
“*sniff* o-okay…”
I walk to the back of the room and turn a wheel, the table turns upright and the light shines directly on Rainbow Dash. I swing the generator close to the table, so she can see it in the corner of her eye. “Now I’ve heard rumours of you being a bi-sexual to some extent. Is this true?”
“Pff. Even if it was why would I tell you!?”
I turn the generator off and attach the clips to her ears. She looks at me with the saddest eyes I’ve seen. “I’m going to ask again Rainbow Dash. Is this true?”
“I don’t even know who you are, or what you are!”
I wheel the generator in front of her and made her put her hoof onto the dial which controls the voltage. I grabbed a saw, held it to her wing and whispered to her “Now turn it to 250.” She did as she was told. The generator was now set at 250 volts. I put my hand onto the switch and asked her “Don’t make me do this Rainbow, it’s an easy question. Why do you put up such a fight? Now I’ll ask again. Is. This. True.” “Alright Alright! Fine you win! I’ve sort of had this thing for Applejack for a while now, but I think it’s stopping. Honestly just please, let me go.”
“Well was that so hard Rainbow Dash? That was all it took. Turn the dial to maximum. Good! Now flip the switch.”
“What!? But you said that if I answered the question you wouldn’t turn it on!”
“Well, I’ll give you this. You have two options now. You can either, a, flip the switch and leave a quick death, or b, you can sit here staring at the walls of this place and starve. Your decision, not mine.” I stand up and twist the knife in her leg a little more and she screams. I laugh and exit the room. As I walk down the hallway I can hear Rainbow Dash crying from Chamber #2 and the muffled screams of the other subjects in the other rooms. I sit down in my leather chair and sip on a cold glass of scotch. “Any moment now. Any moment.” I lean forward in my chair and listen for the distinctive *click* of the generator switch, and sure enough, I heard a click. Rainbow Dash’s screams filled the whole underground facility. I leant back into my chair and closed my eyes. “This is the life. This is the life i need.” Her screams disturb and startle the other subjects and they start screaming too.
At this point I wake up from the dream.
That dream I had for 4 days, if I remember correctly
My footsteps echo down the corridor and the hallway seems to go on forever. Subjects moan and grunt through the night, their screams fill the cold air, there is never a dull moment here. I arrive at Chamber #26. I look through the slot in the door, with the dim lighting you can barely make out the shape of a pony. I push on the door and it gives a long loud creak, the subject wakes from its sleep and thrashes around against its restraints. I flip the lever down and the lights in the room start to shine, and there’s Applejack. Tied to a table and struggling helplessly against the straps that pin her down. “Well well well. Look who’s finally awake. You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting to do this. With all your constant running and spending lots of time on that farm of yours. Also, your accent. God, your stupid accent.”
“Mmph. Mmmmm! Mm.” Applejack moans from underneath the gag.
“If you promise not to scream, I’ll take your blindfold and gag off and you’ll be able to talk and see my face.”
“…Mmph.”
“Well let me get that for you.” I take off the gag and blindfold and her eyes dart around the room. Her breathing steadily gets heavier and her eyes widen. “NOW LISTEN HERE, YOU LET ME GO THIS INSTANT, Y’HEAR? DON’T YOU PONYFOLK KNOW THAT I HAVE TO BE PLACES. I HAVE TO BE-“ I force her mouth shut. “Well it looks like you forgot to hold up your end of the bargain. From now on you’ll have the blindfold and gag on.”
“DON’T YOU PUT THAT DIRTY RAG BACK IN Mmmmph! MMM!”
“Your accent is wearing thin on me Applejack. Maybe it’s time you learnt not to talk when nobody wants you to.” I slam a knife on the table in front of her. Her angry eyes turn into concerned eyes, she stops yelling and is now reduced to a small whimper. I take the gag off her mouth. “Open wide.” “I AIN’T OPENIN’ MY MOUTH FER YOU. NOT IN A MILLION YEARS.”
“Wrong answer Applejack.”
I stab the knife hard into her stomach. “AAAAAH! TAKE IT OUT! TAKE IT OUT! PLEEEASE!” I slowly turn the knife inside of her. “Are you going to cooperate with me? I think you should if you don’t want any bad things happening.”
“YES I’LL DO WHATEVER YOU SAY, JUS’ STOP TWISTIN’ THAT DARN KNIFE IN ME! STOOOP, IT HURTS!” she screams in pain. I slide the knife out of her belly and bright red blood spills all over the floor. I just stand there and watch. The blood flows freely through the wound, but then slows down to the merest trickle. “Here’s something to help keep you awake, Applejack.” I say. There’s a nearby adrenaline shot on the bench, I pick it up and stab it into her heart. I press down on the syringe and deliver 15mg of adrenaline, straight to her heart. Her eyes open wide and her breathing becomes faster. “Now Applejack, are you going to open your mouth like a good pony, or do I have to put that knife back in you?”
“… Fine, you win.” Applejack pants. She opens her mouth, I place a razorblade on her tongue. “Thath a gawdarn wazerbwade!”
“Oh so you already know what it is? Great job! Now swallow it.”
“What in tarnathun?! You must be cwazy if you expect me to swawwow that!”
“Well, go ahead and call me crazy, because I’m counting on you to do it.” She cuts a menacing look at me and it looks like she’s about to tell me something, but holds it back. She looks up at me with sorry eyes and says, “If I swawwow thith here wazerbwade, you’wll let me go?” It’s times like this I enjoy my hobby too much.
“Sure I’ll let you go, you have my word!”
Applejack closes her eyes and tilts her head back. “Well, Here goeth nothing.” She struggles to swallow the razorblade, it’s pretty big and it’s serated, so of course it’d be a tough thing to swallow, so is your pride. “AAAAAAH! GAAAAAH! IT HURTS! YOU DEVIL! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME. WHAT HAVE… I… done to… you?” Her words start to slur and she slumps down in her restraints. She coughs loudly, her blood splatters onto my clothes and the red liquid drips from her mouth. “I hope… I hope yer happy… with yerself… yer a monster… if you have… any decency left… in your heart… please… tell me why… I’m here…” The words lazily roll off her tongue, she’s slowly losing consciousness. I take another adrenaline shot and stab her heart. “Gah! Please… stop doing all that darn stabbin’ okay?”
“Sorry Applejack, I guess I just can’t help myself. Here, I’ll cut you a deal.”
“Oh no, I ain’t fallin’ fer that there trick. You said that to Rainbow right before you killed her!”
“Applejack, you’ll see. It’s a different deal. A deal, in your favor.” I look into her sad eyes and think to myself. Is this what I do for fun? Torture living things, just for my personal entertainment? This is a sick hobby, I need to end it. Now. I take a tray out from underneath the bench and it has a revolver sitting on it.
“What the? What are you doin’ with that there gun?”
“Applejack, I’m keeping my end of the bargain, you swallowed that razor so I’m going to untie you, hand you the gun and the keys to these rooms. After you shoot me I want you to set all the others free. Please, I’m begging you.” I untie her restraints and she falls onto the ground, I help her up and look into her eyes, her bright green eyes. I hand her the pistol and kneel on the ground. I motion my hand to shoot me. “Just promise you’ll set the others free.”
“You’ll get yer wish, but your story ends here.” She says.
And for that one moment, letting all the ponies free, was the one moment in my life, where I was truly happy.
*Bang*
This is as far as I can remember my nightmares. The Applejack nightmare was the most vivid one I can remember. It took place over 3 days.
