I wake up in Tartarus. How did I know it’s Tartarus? I honestly have no idea. I’m lying on the cold floor, my ankles and wrists bound in chains. Wait… ankles? Wrists? I’m human again! I-

“Niiiiiiick,” a voice growls. I quickly scramble to my feet and turn around to face the voice.

Tirek is standing there. We stare at each other for a moment, then he slowly pulls out a remote from… somewhere. The only thing on it is a large red button.

“You’re not immortal,” Tirek helpfully reminds me. WIth much drama, he pushes the button. Then Tartarus explodes and I die. My soul goes back in time and I am reincarnated as either Barack Obama or Lyra Heartstrings, but it’s a bit unclear because I’m starting to forget everything.
