Chapter one: Dawn
It was sunrise and Comet Wisp was roused by dawn's welcoming rays. Her eyes fluttered open and immediately she began to dry heave before a bit of stomach acid and spit was hacked out onto the ground. Groaning she sat up and her mind came three conclusions, she felt like shit, she’d probably been poisoned, and she needed water. Now. She fluttered her eyes open and looked for the source of the river sound she just heard. Although that was not needed as a large lake was in front of her. She rushed - more like clambered - towards the lake. She shoved her muzzle into the fresh water and glugged it down. For the first time she managed out a sentence as she pulled her soaked muzzle back out.
"Oh sweet heavens..." She breathed. As her head cleared she suddenly heard a groaning sound behind her. Comet immediately snapped around, she was in the woods after all and you do not know what is out there. However, it wasn’t some slobbering monster who was ready to sink their teeth into her flesh, but a small white filly. Unlucky for her, the filly’s stomach apparently had something in it and a pile of yellow and green-ish stuff lay next to her.
Comet’s cold-blooded side said ‘Leave her. She’ll only pull you down and deplete you of your food sources until you can find home, Comet. Not to mention she probably is too useless.’But she was too kind and soft-hearted. ‘No, we have to help her. She’s too young to leave alone until we find home.’Then it hit her. Where is home? Where are we? She shook her head, Not important right now.
She looked around for a second before she spotted a patch of elephant ear. She trotted over to it and bit a large one at the base of the stem. They grow too fast anyways. Comet Wisp picked it up in her mouth before she trotted back to the pond. She folded it over so the tip touched the stem a quarter way. Wisp dipped it in the lake and once the water pooled enough in the leaf she walked carefully back to the pink-and-purple maned unicorn filly. Wisp prodded her.
“ ‘Ere, filly. Drink.” Comet grunted around the leaf, her words muffled by the leaf. The filly looked up wearily from her lying state, and accepted the drink. She finished the leaf’s little pool and sat on her haunches.
“Thank you.” She croaked. Comet spat out the leaf, where it landed neatly on top of the puke.
“You need to lay down. I’ll get us some food later but your system isn’t as strong as mine.” Wisp grunted coldly. She looked up at Comet in innocent child curiosity.
“Who are you?” She asked cautiously, staring down a spot on her muzzle. Comet looked down at her with a stony gaze and spoke unamused.
“I could ask the same.”
“I’m Sweetie Belle. Now will you tell me your name, miss?” Sweetie asked in impatient tone.
“Comet Wisp. What are you doing out here anyways? The forest is dangerous.” Wisp said as she sat and looked toward the lake.
“I could ask the same.” Belle said mischievously. Comet glared at her in turn and Sweetie Belle scrunched her muzzle.
“I’m a fully grown mare. Not to mention the fact that I woke here with no account of my past, but you wouldn’t happen to know the way back to civilization or why we’re here, would you?” Comet added in a slightly hopeful voice. Sweetie relaxed her muzzle and cocked her head in thought.
“A-actually no. I only remember the ones of my friends and my sister, Rarity.” Sweetie said sadly.
“Damn.” Comet grunted. Sweetie gasped.
“Dirty words!”
“What are you like four, kid?” Comet said bluntly. Sweetie narrowed her eyes.
“No! I’m already nine!” Sweetie huffed.
“Then you’re not going to die by a word.” She glanced at the spot where sweetie’s cutie mark should be. “Though you look like a four year old.” Comet teased.
“Hey! What age did you get your cutie mark at?”
“Seven.”
“...Oh.”
“Yeah. ‘Oh’.” Comet began to look around for a second. “We need a shelter-” Suddenly she broke off. Where the fuck were Minerva, Cat, Vibe, Ash, and Mouse? She looked around in franticness. She knew one thing: They were out here. Cat ‘Showstopper’ was too pampered to survive out here. The others she didn’t worry too much about, they could hold there own. But they didn’t know the wild like she.
Mouse Quill stayed indoors due to her talent of writing. Ash Fire took the job at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns as a Master due to her talent for magic. If you don’t know what a Master’s job is, it’s when they look for the most struggling ones and take them as apprentices. Twirled Vibe is a singer and composer. And finally Minerva was a Lunar Guard. But Catherine Dewdrop, or her stage name Showstopper, was a pampered actor. The only thing keeping her from being fat was her job.
“Shit! Shit fucking shit! She’s going to fucking die out here! Even if she does somehow survive the poison she’s going to die by a fucking squirrel! Fuck!” Comet looked at the foal. “Sorry about that, but do you think you can walk?” Sweetie looked at Comet like she had just committed murder.
“Uh maybe..” Sweetie attempted to stand but immediately fell over. The food she threw didn’t get all the poison out. A small marble white hoof shot to her mouth to prevent the water from coming up.
“Ugh.” Comet grumbled. She grabbed Sweetie by the back of her neck, and tossed her on Comet’s back with supernatural precision, even surprising Comet Wisp herself. Sweetie was more worried about not hurling. She forced half of her magic reserve into a spell. In a square mile she began to scan for Show’s magical imprint in magenta magic. Once done she forced another quarter into marking three spots: here, Cat’s, and Ash’s. She had stopped half way but the spell still took it’s toll. Then, with Sweetie in tow, she began to gallop toward Ash’s spot, who was closer.
