Rainbow vs The Blue Shell
It was a peaceful day in Equestria. Ponies smiled and had adventures. Animals played and had fun as the sun shined. On a cloud outside of Ponyville, Rainbow was napping after a hard day of working and racing. She was dreaming of performing in front of a crowd, but suddenly her ears perked up.
"What's that noise?" Rainbow woke up. She looked left and right and cleaned her ears; she was certain she heard a wind sound. She couldn't sleep with it. She turned to the distance and froze when she saw it...
"OH NO!" Rainbow shouted and took off.
In blue and spike-encrusted glory, the Blue Shell raced towards Rainbow. She flew at her full might! If she stopped it was sure to land her in the hospital! Rainbow Dash took notice of Sweet Apple Acres and turned for it.
On the way, a grey and blonde pegasus bounced on a cloud.
"Hi Rainbow Dash!" Derpy yelled. When she landed a bolt of lightning hit Octavia Melody. "Oops. Sorry."
"That's the third time this week Derpy." Octavia yelled at a smaller height.
Back to Rainbow Dash, She landed right next to Applejack and was shaking.
"Well howdy to you too, Rainbow." Applejack said.
"Applejack! I need your help!" Rainbow yelled.
"Ok Ok. What's got you so shaken up about?"
Rainbow only pointed towards her pursuer. The shell was homing in and looked menacing. The blue bomber of doom was about to collide. Applejack was baffled by it's speed.
Applejack adjusted her hat and grabbed her lasso and captured the blue menace. The shell landed and she smiled at Rainbow.
"There you go. You can sleep easy now." Applejack calmed Rainbow.
"Thanks AJ." Rainbow went in for a hug.
But that hug was interrupted; Applejack was connected to the rope from her grip. The blue shell sprang and flew at speeds Rainbow Dash could barely make. Applejack was right behind it; It was like a fish on a hook. She flopped in the air dodged pig droppings. She also scared cows half to death. She let go before it hit the farm and she crashed into a pile of hay.
"I'm still the hoofball champion." Applejack said in a daze.
Rainbow dug her way into the hay in a panic. She then flew off, because she knew that the blue shell would bomb both mares in the hospital. She went to town to find sugar cube corner.
"Hey Dash, wanna taste the icing ice cream?" Pinkie said behind a counter.
Rainbow explained her situation.
"Ok. I'll try to stall."
Pinkie pulled out a party cannon and aim. She was shooting Bob-Ombs! She fired one; it missed by one inch. Her second shot hit a duck. The third shot missed and landed on a birthday cake.
"Darn. Rainbow Dash get me a milk jar!" Pinkie shouted.
"What why?!" Rainbow asked.
Pinkie stretched in and grabbed a glass milk bottle. She quickly gulped down all the milk and held the cup up to her eyes. She shuffled and shook her plot to aim carefully.
This shot hit the shell in black smoke, but it escaped the black smoke in a shiny blue blur. Rainbow screamed and flew off; Pinkie tapped her chin.
"That should have worked. Unless..." Pinkie opened her cannon and found smoke bombs. "Whoops. Safety bombs." She shrugged nervously.
Rainbow noticed Fluttershy, Twilight, and Rarity. She flew lower and explained the whole story. Fluttershy gasped and dashed off at a fast pace. Rarity teleported away in a second. Twilight shook in place.
"I know only a few mares to help." Twilight said. She and Rainbow took cover and Twilight used her horn to cast a signal.
A few moments later...
Rainbow stood on a track nervously. She was shaking at the whoosh of doom. Beside her, Vinyl Scratch sat behind a desk. Lyra and Bon Bon were connected and ready to run. Octavia and Tree Hugger sat with Vinyl.
Spike held up a checkered flag. He raised it with sweat on his brow. He wiped it. At this moment, Twilight was holding a camera watching closely; Rainbow geared up to move and the others were ready. He waved the flag and shut his eyes. A thick cloud of smoke passed him.
"Whew! I'm safe." He wiped his brow.
Rainbow Dash was 5 feet ahead of her friends. She quivered in fear. She tried to stay ahead. Tree hugger threw some mushrooms ahead and Lyra and Bon Bon gained speed. Both mares raced and came neck and neck! They crossed as a blue shell came rushing forward. Tree hugger threw a crowned and golden mushroom. Lyra and Bon Bon became tense and had red eyes. The gained distance ahead of Rainbow Dash, who stopped dead in her tracks! The shell aimed for the five.
"Now Vinyl!" Twilight shouted.
The blue shell pulled right infront of the few. Octavia played a speedy note on her cello and Vinyl smiled.
"MEGAHORN, TIME TO SHINE!" Vinyl smiled. She slammed a buttton and the desk turned into a wub machine! It blasted her out a tremendous beat!
The shell shattered like a window! Its pieces spread and showered everypony.
Hoofbumps were passed as a purple portal popped into existence.
"Have you seen a blue shell?" Sonic entered next to Mario and asked. "Mario hates when they get lose and spawn terror."
"Taken care of." Vinyl answered."Unless Tavi wants another ride."
"Racing is an amazing thrill, but I'd prefer not to risk my neck and fall off like last time."
Vinyl and the others giggled; Octavia shot a look, while trying not to smile and laugh.
"So, What about those shells?" Spike came and asked.
Nearby a plethora of green and red shells were heading towards Dash. Pinkie appeared next to her.
"We need bananas, STAT!" She yelled.
"You called?" Princess Celestia said from a distance.
