Chapter 3: Bibliophobia

Previous Chapter

Tybalt was leading Rainbow down a hall of many portals. Many of them were labeled with places in Dreamscape or a person's name. They had traveled from the A section to the T section, and were almost to the TW section. They were near the end when Rainbow saw the name Twilight Sparkle above one of the portals. Inside the portal was a room full of books, just nothing but books. Tybalt seemed alarmed as he ran back to the entrance of the room.

Twilight wasn't sure what was going on, she was having a perfectly normal dream when everything changed into books. The rustling of papers caught her attention. They were coming from a small lump of books in the corner. "Spike," Twilight whispered," Spike get out of the books."

"What is it Twilight," Spike asked from upstairs.

"Wait if you'e there then who is there," Twilight asked as she pointed at the pile of books. Spike shrugged and looked at the pile as well.

"Clueless, completly oblivious little Twilight," echoed a voice.

"Where are you," Twilight asked," I demand you state your name."

"As if you have any right to tell the fear of books what to do."

"The fear of books? Isn't that bibliophobia?"

"Correct, obviously I am bibliophobia. And Boogeyman has sent me here to make your life an ever living nightmare." The echoing voice laughed as the pile of books grew in size forming a large humanoid shape. More books formed armor and papers formed flames, made of paper. What once was a small pile of books was now a ten foot knight with a shield of large textbooks and a sword of papers.

"What the hay," Twilight gasped as she stared up at the helmet. Eyes formed of a deep red and glared down at Twilight. Out of nowhere a portal opened and out of it came Powder, a pink creature wearing a light green dress of some sort, and Rainbow Dash.

"Wonderful a dreamscaper. Just my luck, Boogeyman was expecting you, and so was I," boomed Bibliophobia.

"Yeah and I was expecting Bibliophobia to be a bit smarter. Guess I was mistaken," Powder said.

"Twilight are you alright," Rainbow Dash asked.

"Yeah i'm fine Rainbow," Twilight replied," wait Rainbow!?" Powder launched her small fire ball attacks as she dodged bibliophobia's swings of his sword. Every time she struck bibliophobia books burned away.

"What," Rainbow asked.

"You've been missing for 2 whole years. I stopped dreaming about you months ago."

"Look only, like, an hour has passed since I arrived in Dreamscape."

"Dreamscape?"

"Look long story, okay. It's just that I missed you and I wanted to say a real good bye before I leave you alone again."

"But Rainbow did you tell the others?"

"No you're more important. I just wanted to say I," Rainbow Dash stuttered as a blast of fire singed the tips of her mane. Twilight's eyes were lit up awaiting the one thing she'd been waiting for Rainbow to tell her that she loved her.

"Pah," bibliophobia boomed as he blocked a fire ball with his shield. Instead of it burning it sent the fire ball off in a random direction, striking Twilight in the side. Twilight's velvet body went up in flames as she flew mere feet from the force of the strike. Rainbow attempted to put the fire out, but all there was around her were books. By the time the fire went out Twilight's once velvet body was a deep black, her grey tail and mane with the purple highlights were nothing but ash. Twilight's wings were small and almost invisible in the black scorched body. Her eyes still glimmered as if she had been frozen in time. But her eyes soon closed and her body went limp. "Ha now she is dead. Burned alive, she will never wake up." Bibliophobia laughed

"Of course she will it's a dream isn't it," Rainbow asked.

"Things work differently in a dream, occupied by dreamscapers," Powder replied," they don't work like normal dreams. She's dead." Powder's attacks were easily burning away the books. Although Bibliophobia's shield continued to deflect some attacks. Bibliophobia soon knelt to the ground as his knee buckled. The books that once made up much of his body were burned away, now ashes on the floor.

"I, I concede to you Dreamscaper," Bibliophobia groaned. What was once a ten foot knight, was now a nine and a half foot skeleton. Through the portal walked Sasalina, a small set of handcuffs made of a pitch black substance in her hands. Sasalina put them on bibliophobia's wrists and guided him through the portal. Powder followed, soon followed by Rainbow Dash. Everyone's heads were hung low in sorrow as Rainbow walked down the isle of portals. She had just lost her love life, to a fire ball.

"Haha, yes," Boogeyman chuckled as he stared through the eyes of the shadows," I have weakened her. Soon she will join my ranks of phobias. Eventually everyone will and there will be no power to stop me." Autophobia sat in a corner crying. Boogeyman had him chained to a pillar. In between each sob Autophobia whined one sentence.

"Brother, help me."
