//-------------------------------------------------------// Night Terror -by TheMasterBronyDoctorGuy- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Three Worlds Collide, on the Inside //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Three Worlds Collide, on the Inside "Dude are you alright," a voice echoed," you took a real hit there. The names Darren what's yours," Darren asked. There was a heavy pressing motion on the child on the ground's chest. He opened his eyes to see Darren, a grey colored humanoid with with some weird silver colored hair. When he made an s noise a small snake tongue stuck out but didn't hiss. Instead it seemed to be inspecting the air for something. "Um. Hi? My name's," the child said as he hesitated," I don't know who I am." "Oh that's easy," Darren said," you're name's Vince, I think." "Alright, hi my name's Vince," Vince started again. As he tried to stand up his head rung. He fell back down and rubbed it. "Yeah better be careful you went," Darren said as he slapped his hand down on the ground. "Where am I exactly," Vince asked. "You're in Dreamscape a land of imagination. This is your home, mine, and plenty more. I'm a Dreamscaper I help keep Phobias from attacking kids and making them afraid of whatever the phobia is a phobia of." Dreamscape looked like something out of, well, a dream. Platforms of rock and stone and dirt floated around in space. A house or two sat on large platforms and far out in the distance a large building towered above it all. "Wow this place is huge," Vince said as he looked around. "If you love that you'll love this," Darren said as he held out his hand. Vince grabbed it and Darren helped him to his feet. His head still rung and he used Darren as support while the world seemed to tilt around him. "I knew you'd still be dizzy. Go ahead use me as support. Don't need you falling down there. Darren pointed to a large black platform hundreds of feet down. Stone carved into the shape of skulls scattered the ground and a large spike covered building rose out of the ground. "W-w-what is that?" "That, Vince, is the part of Dreamscape we Dreamscapers dare not enter. Now come on Sasalina will be waiting for you." Everything flew by her as Rainbow Dash continued to test her limits. Faster, faster, faster. The clouds became blurs and the mountains seemed to flatten into twigs. When suddenly she struck something. She spun out of control and smashed into the side of a mountain.  She felt dizzy and something warm seeped from her forehead. She tried to move but she didn't have the strength. She lost consciousness and felt her body go limp. "A good specimen she is indeed Mother Nature, once again you have done a magnificent job," a muffled male voice congratulated. "Thank you Father Time, I try so hard to please 'him'," a muffled female voice said. The way she said him made it sound like she hated this person. Rainbow opened her eyes slightly and saw a man in complete black towering over her. Next to him was a woman, with goat legs, and three eyes. She also towered over Rainbow. A loud bang rang through her head as a door flew open revealing a black figure. On their head was a white skull without a bottom jaw and three eye sockets, each with an eye. The top jaw had two large ridged teeth on either end. Horns protruded from either side and a large circle with a line through it was etched in pink on its chest. A tail protruded from its skeletal body and it's fingers and toes were sharp without any muscle. "So this is the creature you promised," it spoke with a raspy voice. "Yes Boogeyman," Mother Nature nodded. "Then we can begin," Boogeyman said as as he grabbed Rainbow with one of his hands, picked her up, and threw her across the room. The building Darren had taken Vince to was huge. Everything was so well organised on the inside. Halls were tidy with different portraits and statues on either side. Doors had names above them but as they turned a corner Vince came face to face with a cat woman. She wore a brown coat of some kind and her fur was navy blue. Her eyes seemed to glow yellow and she smiled the kindest of smiles. "Vince this is Sasalina, Sasalina this is Vince," Darren introduced. "Hello Vince you must be the one I sent Darren and Vendetta to retrieve," Sasalina said. Her voice was soft enough to put a dragon to sleep. "Vendetta? I didn't meet her," Vince said. "Of course she was the one that got you into dreamscape," Sasalina said. "You're still young, which is good," Sasalina began to observe Vince. He was bright purple wearing a ,slightly to big for him, dress shirt, pants, shoes, and a tie. His eyes were completely white and his hair was ruffled beyond belief. "Darren could you show Vince to your room? I need to bring the Phobias we have out for reformation exercises." "Sure can do Sasalina," Darren said as he turned back around and started walking the other way. Vince followed looking back one last time as they tirned the corner. "You said she was of Dreamscape origin," Boogeyman yelled as he smacked Mother Nature," you said you created her! But you didn't," Boogeyman shouted as he clawed at her. Father Time lay in a heep on the other side of the room. Blood seeped from claw marks and from parts of flesh Boogeyman had torn off. Mother Nature was crying as Boogeyman continued to beat her, claw at her, and kick her. Boogeyman picked her up and slammed her against a wall repeatedly before dropping her to the floor. "Disappoint me again and we'll see hat happens!" Boogeyman left the room and slammed the doors behind him. Rainbow laid, sprawled across the floor. Her rainbow mane was a mess, well not a mane anymore. Instead it was hair, human hair, but she felt like a pony, she still had her wings. Problem was, if she was human, she had no clothes on. "I'm sorry little pony, I-I-I thought I could use you as a way to prevent any more damage to me or my husband," Mother Nature whimpered. She created a bra and underwear of leaves out of thin air and handed them to Rainbow Dash. Rainbow struggled to figure out how to put them on. But Mother Nature helped her and she was soon no longer naked. "I really am, i'll even help you out of here," she said as she used vines to break a hole in the wall. "Hurry before Boogeyman returns." Rainbow flapped her wings to make sure they still worked then took off. Behind her she heard a loud scream and then silence. "So this is my room," Darren said as he opened the door to his room. It looked like a normal child's room. Toys, clothes, posters, and of course a big bed that was far to big for the child. "Woah cool. You have posters of everything here, Freddy Fazbear, Pilot, Timeline, even Radioactive." "Yeah?" "Yeah! This is so cool!" "Thanks Vince." "Will you two shut up in there. I'm trying to sleep," someone yelled. "Who was that," Vince asked. "Just cranky ole Jasper. He's not very friendly to kids," Darren replied. Vince felt his stomach grumble and he realized he was hungry. "Um Darren i'm hungry, can we get something to eat?" "Sure thing Vince." Rainbow's wings ached as she continued to fly up. Her body was in pain and she felt as if she were going to give out any second and fall to her death. Suddenly she was caught on something and felt as if she had become thrity times lighter. She couldn't see it but something was moving her towards a large building. At the entrance stood a creature in a white cloak holding a staff with a three pointed object at the top. On his forehead were three dots and the creature looked sad. "Do not fret young Rainbow Dash, I am here to help you." "Where the hell am I? And how the hell did i get here," Rainbow asked. "You're in Dreamscape and you were brought here through the will of a greater power," the creature seemed to mutter. "Alright mister cryptic," Rainbow yelled," mind giving me your name?" "I am Tybalt." "Well Tybalt I don't know who the fuck you are but I ain't gonna stick around. So send me back home." "I fear I can not. I do not have the power." "Alright then who does?" "I'm rather interested into how you got here, please come inside young Rainbow Dash." Rainbow's eyes narrowed. "How do you even know my name?" "Our archives. I can show you them in time. But for now lets get you properly clothed." Tybalt motioned Rainbow inside. His mask scared her. It always looked sad and never changed. Rainbow walked into the building and followed Tybalt. He motioned her to a room that said storage overhead. He opened it to reveal a large room with coats, shirts, pants, a chest marked under garments and more. "Mother Nature, you have not only failed me again but aided a creature in escape," Boogeyman yelled. Mother Nature was on her stomach covered from head to toe in burn marks. "You are standing on thin ice woman. Give me one reason I shouldn't turn you to dust." Mother Nature tried to speak but instead groaned. "Very well Mother Nature, you brought this upon yourself." Boogeyman lifted her up and slammed her against a pipe. The pipe exploded sending a blast of hot air into Mother Nature's face. Slowly he drove her into the air, scalding her until burn marks became dried out skin which peeled away. Her muscles crumpled and snapped as they dried up. When all that was left was her skeleton he pulled away the skull and crushed it. Then threw the rest out a window. Landing with a satisfying crack. Mother Nature appeared in a pure white room with two buttons. One read, continue as a Phobia, the other read, continue as a Dreamscaper. Mother Nature reached out and touched the continue as a Dreamscaper button. She then pressed it and watched as a bright light engulfed her. She awoke on a platform in Dreamscape, alive and intact. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Nightmarescape //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Nightmarescape Rainbow Dash walked out of the storage wearing a blue shirt and jeans. She looked in a nearby mirror to see that she was a human. Lyra would be so jealous right now. Her hair was still multicolored and her eyes still violet, but not only was she human, she had her wings. Was she dead or something? "Do not worry you are not dead," Tybalt said. "How, how did you," Rainbow stuttered. "I can read minds. You were asking yourself if you were dead. My answer was no you aren't." Now Tybalt was creepier. Not only did he look constantly sad but he could also read minds. What's next the ability to revive? "Well that is what comes next." Now he just got creepier. "All Dreamscapers and Phobias can achieve regeneration," Tybalt said," but they don't always get that chance with particular phenomena." This guy was talking nonsense. "No Rainbow Dash I am not talking nonsense." "Tybalt you're needed," Jasper yelled as he ran down the hall towards them," Boogeyman drove away another one." Jasper was small, like midget small. He wore a fedora on his head and a trench coat. Probably to make him seem more menacing. His face was a deep shade of red. He had yellow eyes and he had sharp teeth and no nose. "Whatya looking at," Jasper asked. "She's interested in you," Tybalt replied. "Look lady I don't know who the hell you are but i'm married," Jasper exclaimed as he got up in Rainbow's face, the best he could. "No Jasper what I mean is, she's interested in what you are," Tybalt said. "I'm a birb, what else would I be?" "You don't look like a bird," Rainbow said. "Well of course I don't, I got my beak ripped off," Jasper said pointing to his mouth. "That sounds gruesome." "Sure to hell it was, nearly bled out. Now where was I," Jasper asked. "Something about another phobia that Boogeyman killed and that phobia choose to revive as a Dreamscaper," Tybalt replied. "Right we found her laying out in Dreamscape all alone," Jasper said," Sasalina wants your help to comfort the new found friend." "Most certainly," Tybalt said as he turned to Rainbow Dash," excuse me Ms. Dash but I must help out my children. Please do feel free to walk around." Tybalt turned towards Jasper and followed him. "Just calm down Mother Nature," Sasalina said as Mother Nature continued to cry. A small pond had formed at her feet. "But my husband he, he," Mother Nature whimpered. "He's fine, we promise we will help you get him back," Sasalina assured. Mother Nature calmed down, sorta, a rain cloud still hung over her head. There was a knocking at the door and in walked Tybalt. As he entered Mother Nature covered her face with her arms. "Do not worry Mother Nature I will not hurt you," Tybalt said," i'm here to help." "Y-you are," Mother Nature asked. "Yes, now I heard you've been crying for quite some time," Tybalt said as he waved away the cloud over Mother Nature's head. "Yes, yes I was," Mother Nature said. The small pond had become a puddle. "We promise you Mother Nature we will get your husband out of Nightmarescape." "Please, don't hurt him," Mother Nature whimpered. "The Dreamscaper I send will try not to," Tybalt said," but I will not promise you that Father Time will not be harmed." "Totally awesome," Vince said as he tried on a set of Dreamscaper gear. They were a pair of gloves that looked similar to Iron Man's repulsers. Except the bas of the gloves were attached to a piece of armor that locked around the elbow. On the bottom of it had three razor sharp blades. The gloves Vince were wearing weren't made of metal but rather some sort of fabric. Instead of shooting repulsers it shot sound waves at different frequencies. "Hey be careful," Darren said," you might blow someone's ear drums out." "I'll try not to." Vince ran over to a backpack and picked it up. Near it was a grey shirt with a symbol on it. "Oh you found a Dreamscape symbol," Darren said," once you put that on that symbol represents your life as a Dreamscaper. Tearing it out will result in a slow and painful Phobiaization." "Phobiaization," Vince asked. "My word for becoming a Phobia." Vince nodded and slid on the shirt. He felt a sting as the symbol began to glow yellow. "You're almost suited up." Darren passed a pair of grey pants to Vince along with the gloves. Vince slid them on and got a look at himself in the mirror. "Nice. Now, can I go test this out," Vince asked. "You'd have to ask Sasa-" Darren began. "Okay thanks," Vince yelled as he bolted out the door. "Vince no you can't just do that!" "Watch me." Vince burst out the front doors and into the large Dreamscape. He looked down towards Nightmarescape and started to jump from platform to platform. Darren looked down at him and ran back inside. "I'm sorry Boogeyman I truly am," Father Time said. He was bruised in many places. "If you say sorry one more time Father Time I will rip your throat out," Boogeyman exclaimed as he watched Vince hop down. This was the first time he'd seen that Dreamscaper and it'd be the last time the Dreamscaper looked the way he did. Boogeyman swished his hand around in an elegant motion. From his hand came a small ball of black. That ball soon took the form of Vince, but had wings and instead of feet it had tall stilt like legs. Boogeyman laughed as he enlarged the being to the same size as Vince. They were both young and he new Vince would be weaker than his own Autophobia. "What is that," Father Time asked "This, Father Time, is Autophobia. The fear of one's self," Boogeyman replied. Autophobia looked at Boogeyman with a look of confusion. "Go autophobia destroy your counterpart." Autophobia looked up towards Vince. "Why," Autophobia asked. "Because I command you," Boogeyman growled. "But he no harm anyone." "Well i'm gonna end up harming you if you don't do as I say. Now attack your counterprt!" At that Boogeyman smacked Autophobia. Rubbing his cheek Autophobia took off towards Vince. "Almost there," Vince told himself. The castle was a mere mile away still. From the castle flew something, something black. It kept getting closer, and closer, and closer. When it finally came in range Vince noticed it looked like him. When it reached him it stopped and stared at Vince. The creature held out its hand to Vince. Vince grabbed it and the creature started to fly towards the ground. "Sternjekalt dammit," Boogeyman exclaimed. Without hesitation he began to charge a large ball of swirling darkness. When it was charged enough he fired it straight towards Vince. Autophobia, unaware of the dark projectile, heard as it struck Vince in the chest. Forcing him out of Autophobia's hands and sending him plummeting to the ground below. Autophobia flew after him but was stopped by a surge of water blasting towards him. Vince struck the ground, hard. Autophobia looked around for his attacker and saw Aquaphobia down below. Her mermaid like appearance made her seem like she couldn't do harm. But any Phobia most most likely knew better. Any Phobia except Autophobia. Autophobia flew towards her at top speed hands outstretched ready to grab her and strangle her. From above Boogeyman looked down at the young Dreamscaper. Vince laid limp on the Nightmarescape ground. He had taken quite the fall and just couldn't move. All he could do is stare up towards Dreamscape and hope someone, or something, came to help him. He heard fighting in the background and a booming laugh. The fighting died down and all that was left to listen to was the laugh. "Bravo Dreamscaper, bravo," Boogeyman said as he clapped," haven't been here long and you're already going to become a Phobia. Great job. Bring him to me Autophobia." Autophobia stood there staring at Vince. He felt terrible, he had just brought Vince to his death. Then he remembered, deep in his memories Boogeyman created for him, that an Autophobia can lend limbs and such to their counterpart. Autophobia concentrated on Vince. He began to give Vince his wings. They first formed as a shadow on the ground but soon became large, black angel wings. Vince was surprised but he had no power over the wings. They were automatically sending him up towards Dreamscape. "No you moron," Boogeyman yelled as he jumped from his perch in his castle and onto the ground below. He walked up to Autophobia and grabbed him. He then snapped his legs and crushed his hands. He then shoved him to the ground forcefully.  Meanwhile Vince was gone and Autophobia's wings had returned. In a fit of rage Boogeyman began to tear feathers out in clumps until all that was left were the stubs. Boogeyman then proceeded to tear them out as well. He kicked Autophobia aside and started to walk towards his castle. Autophobia began to cry and thousands of Phobias watched as Boogeyman just kept walking. As he entered he came face to face with Pistolpetaphobia. He was a four armed cowboy with a stetson, scarf, and the usual cowboy get up. "Well that there that ya did was just plain harsh, poor kid didn' deserve the sorts of punishment," Pistolpetaphobia said. Only to receive a punch to the stomach and a smack across the face. "Do not tell me what is harsh and what isn't," Boogeyman yelled, "when you get your own throne and kingdom you can treat your subjects your way. But i'm in charge here. Not you." "B-b-but," Pistolpetaphobia stuttered. "But nothing. Ask another question and the fear of cowboys is going to fear guns." Boogeyman shoved Pistolpetphobia against a wall and kept walking. "Oh my Sternjekalt Vince, don't ever do that again," Darren said as he hugged Vince. Vince was covered from head to toe in dirt and bruises. "Young man what kind of stunt were you trying to pull," Sasalina asked. "Well I got curious about that place below Dreamscape and I wanted to see it first hand," Vince replied. "You nearly got yourself killed," Darren yelled," we don't go there because Boogeyman exists there and hates the shit out of every single Dreamscaper ever." Tybalt walked in with Rainbow Dash following behind. She wasn't sure whether she was dreaming anymore. If she was then she'd most likely wake up soon, on a mountain side, with all her friends around her worried sick. Twilight's violet eyes would be bloodshot or something and her mane and tail would be a complete mess. Pinkie would be sitting around, head hung low, her pink mane deflated. She'd probably have some sort of get better soon cupcake. "You're friends are very worried. Not because you're out cold but because you've disappeared from their dimensional plain," Tybalt said. "If I weren't so worried about going home i'd actually think that sounded cool," Rainbow mumbled. "You can see them if you'd like, we Dreamscapers can go into other's dreams," Tybalt told Rainbow. "Seriously?" "Yes. It's rather easy." "Show me. I need to tell them where I am." //-------------------------------------------------------// A Brief History //-------------------------------------------------------// A Brief History Tybalt sat alone in his chamber, thinking about Boogeyman's intentions. Only one thousand years ago Boogeyman and Tybalt once welcomed each other with open arms. But one thousand years ago Boogeyman wasn't a monster. He was a black sheep and Tybalt a porcupine. One thousand years ago Tybalt and Boogeyman, once referred to as Bo, worked in harmony to keep balance in Dreamscape. But Bo's anger and jealousy towards Tybalt caused Bo to destroy himself. Only to be reborn as the Boogeyman. Boogeyman and Tybalt fought but Tybalt was no match for him and soon perished. Tybalt was reborn without his original face and rather a mask. He vowed that he would stop Boogeyman and bring peace back to Dreamscape. So he enacted a defense team called the Dreamscapers. They were created to help protect the dreams of millions of people. When Boogeyman heard of this he knew he couldn't take on such an army so he created the Phobias. They were created to bring fear to both the Dreamscapers and the millions of dreaming children and adults. Many Dreamscapers died and were reborn as Phobias. Others felt they'd never win and joined the Phobias only to be destroyed by the Boogeyman. The battle still rages today as Tybalt calls upon their eyes in the Earthworld, Zing, Charles, and much of Zing's game developement team, to track down certain men and women in the Earthworld and send them to Dreamscape. Although Rainbow Dash's arrival was unknown to him, he hoped Rainbow Dash and Vincent were the two Dreasmcapers that Dreamscape needed to stop the Boogeyman. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Bibliophobia //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Bibliophobia Tybalt was leading Rainbow down a hall of many portals. Many of them were labeled with places in Dreamscape or a person's name. They had traveled from the A section to the T section, and were almost to the TW section. They were near the end when Rainbow saw the name Twilight Sparkle above one of the portals. Inside the portal was a room full of books, just nothing but books. Tybalt seemed alarmed as he ran back to the entrance of the room. Twilight wasn't sure what was going on, she was having a perfectly normal dream when everything changed into books. The rustling of papers caught her attention. They were coming from a small lump of books in the corner. "Spike," Twilight whispered," Spike get out of the books." "What is it Twilight," Spike asked from upstairs. "Wait if you'e there then who is there," Twilight asked as she pointed at the pile of books. Spike shrugged and looked at the pile as well. "Clueless, completly oblivious little Twilight," echoed a voice. "Where are you," Twilight asked," I demand you state your name." "As if you have any right to tell the fear of books what to do." "The fear of books? Isn't that bibliophobia?" "Correct, obviously I am bibliophobia. And Boogeyman has sent me here to make your life an ever living nightmare." The echoing voice laughed as the pile of books grew in size forming a large humanoid shape. More books formed armor and papers formed flames, made of paper. What once was a small pile of books was now a ten foot knight with a shield of large textbooks and a sword of papers. "What the hay," Twilight gasped as she stared up at the helmet. Eyes formed of a deep red and glared down at Twilight. Out of nowhere a portal opened and out of it came Powder, a pink creature wearing a light green dress of some sort, and Rainbow Dash. "Wonderful a dreamscaper. Just my luck, Boogeyman was expecting you, and so was I," boomed Bibliophobia. "Yeah and I was expecting Bibliophobia to be a bit smarter. Guess I was mistaken," Powder said. "Twilight are you alright," Rainbow Dash asked. "Yeah i'm fine Rainbow," Twilight replied," wait Rainbow!?" Powder launched her small fire ball attacks as she dodged bibliophobia's swings of his sword. Every time she struck bibliophobia books burned away. "What," Rainbow asked. "You've been missing for 2 whole years. I stopped dreaming about you months ago." "Look only, like, an hour has passed since I arrived in Dreamscape." "Dreamscape?" "Look long story, okay. It's just that I missed you and I wanted to say a real good bye before I leave you alone again." "But Rainbow did you tell the others?" "No you're more important. I just wanted to say I," Rainbow Dash stuttered as a blast of fire singed the tips of her mane. Twilight's eyes were lit up awaiting the one thing she'd been waiting for Rainbow to tell her that she loved her. "Pah," bibliophobia boomed as he blocked a fire ball with his shield. Instead of it burning it sent the fire ball off in a random direction, striking Twilight in the side. Twilight's velvet body went up in flames as she flew mere feet from the force of the strike. Rainbow attempted to put the fire out, but all there was around her were books. By the time the fire went out Twilight's once velvet body was a deep black, her grey tail and mane with the purple highlights were nothing but ash. Twilight's wings were small and almost invisible in the black scorched body. Her eyes still glimmered as if she had been frozen in time. But her eyes soon closed and her body went limp. "Ha now she is dead. Burned alive, she will never wake up." Bibliophobia laughed "Of course she will it's a dream isn't it," Rainbow asked. "Things work differently in a dream, occupied by dreamscapers," Powder replied," they don't work like normal dreams. She's dead." Powder's attacks were easily burning away the books. Although Bibliophobia's shield continued to deflect some attacks. Bibliophobia soon knelt to the ground as his knee buckled. The books that once made up much of his body were burned away, now ashes on the floor. "I, I concede to you Dreamscaper," Bibliophobia groaned. What was once a ten foot knight, was now a nine and a half foot skeleton. Through the portal walked Sasalina, a small set of handcuffs made of a pitch black substance in her hands. Sasalina put them on bibliophobia's wrists and guided him through the portal. Powder followed, soon followed by Rainbow Dash. Everyone's heads were hung low in sorrow as Rainbow walked down the isle of portals. She had just lost her love life, to a fire ball. "Haha, yes," Boogeyman chuckled as he stared through the eyes of the shadows," I have weakened her. Soon she will join my ranks of phobias. Eventually everyone will and there will be no power to stop me." Autophobia sat in a corner crying. Boogeyman had him chained to a pillar. In between each sob Autophobia whined one sentence. "Brother, help me."
