Chapter 26: Completing the Lore

Right as I was about to start my writing, I got a severe migraine. I gripped my head and fell out of my chair. I hit the floor, head cramping up. I got to my hooves and stood still, trying to shake the headache. My vision faded to white, so I did nothing. When I regained sight, I wasn’t in my house. I wasn’t even in Canterlot. I was in Manehattan. I looked around, and saw a discarded newspaper. I picked it up and read a recent article’s date. It read “March 18, 2024.”

“Maybe this is another vision,” I thought to myself. I checked for my saddlebags, and they were still there. Nopony acknowledged my presence, so I assumed they couldn’t see me. I turned back around and saw a new building. It read Dazzle’s Fright.

“Oh no,” I moaned. I stepped inside behind a few ponies and took a look around. The new building seemed to be a horror attraction, paying tribute to the pizzeria’s lore. As I wandered the attraction, I caught a glimpse of a security office. Somepony was inside, monitoring the building. I stepped inside behind him and watched as he checked the cameras. When he selected camera 2B, I nearly screamed at what I saw. Standing in a corner of the room was the Springlock Sonata suit, with the purple pony inside. I wanted to get back to my house in my time, but nothing happened. I checked a clock, which read 5:59. As I walked out of the office, I collided with Spring Sonata. The suit looked me dead in the eyes and picked me up by the neck.

“Let me go!” I choked.

“What can we use…?” Spring Sonata spoke. Her voice matched from when I first saw her. “The power divine…your time ends now…”

“Let go of me!” I managed to cry out.

“Burn alive…in Night Five…” Spring Sonata hissed. “It’s time to die.” The 6 AM chimes rang out, but Spring Sonata didn’t put me down. I suddenly heard a few sparking noises, and both Spring Sonata and I looked to see a fire spreading towards us. I acted fast and bucked Spring Sonata in the chest, knocking her onto her back and myself free of her grip. I landed on the linoleum tile and I saw the security officer run from the building. I followed him in a hurry. When I got out, I looked back to see the whole building erupt into flames. Through the crackle of the fire, I heard Spring Sonata let out a long raspy screech, then went silent. As the fire department arrived, I wrote down a few notes. “After a few years, Dazzle Fright opens in Manehattan, paying tribute to the Adagio Dazzle franchise. The owners find the Springlock Sonata suit and bring it over. But the purple pony’s soul lives on in the suit, haunting the security guard until the building burns down from faulty wiring.” My vision went to white and I returned to my house in Canterlot.

“Whoa,” I gasped. I sat back down and began to write about the Adagio Dazzle franchise.

“Adagio Dazzle’s Pizza: The Lore,” I wrote. “Back in the year 1968, a small diner opened up in Canterlot called Dagi’s Family Diner. The diner used an animatronic modeled after the late Siren, Adagio Dazzle, in a pony form. The diner was successful until one fateful night. While a few families were in the diner, one lone filly watched from a window, crying. While nopony paid attention to the filly, a purple pony ran up and murdered the filly right there. The restaurant found out, and the diner closed within the week of the murder. The company Dazzle Entertainment bought out the diner and changed the name of the place. In 1983, the restaurant reopened under the name Adagio Dazzle’s Pizza.

The new pizzeria used two new Springlock suits, a Golden Adagio suit, and a Golden Sonata Dusk suit. These suits doubled as both an animatronic and a wearable suit. However, these Springlock suits proved too dangerous when a young foal and two employees were killed as a result of multiple simultaneous springlock failures. The springlock suits were decommissioned, with the Spring Sonata suit put into a back room and the Spring Adagio’s endoskeleton removed. The springlock suits were replaced with animatronics of Sonata Dusk, Adagio Dazzle, and Aria Blaze. But tragedy struck once again when four more foals were murdered inside the walls of the pizzeria. The killer, the purple pony, dressed in the Spring Sonata suit and lured the four foals into a back room and murdered them. The killer was caught hours later, but the bodies were never found. The reason for this was because a new unused animatronic, the Marionette, possessed by the first murdered foal, put the bodies of the foals into the suits to give them new life. After a short time, the stench of the dead bodies started to waft off of the animatronics. The smell got the restaurant shut down, and the animatronics were put into storage.

After a few years, in 1987 the restaurant opened again in a much larger location. The pizzeria used new, more foal friendly toy animatronics. Toy Adagio, Toy Sonata, Toy Aria, the Marionette, and Balloon Boy. Toy Aria eventually got taken apart by the younger foals, so she got referred to as Mangled Aria. Within only a week of the pizzeria being open, the purple pony murdered another four foals, their souls possessing the Toy animatronics and Balloon Boy. The dead body stench from the original animatronics started to come up again. The pizzeria announced that it would close down by week’s end, and there would be a birthday party as the final event. During the party, Mangled Aria came down on a security guard and bit him, removing his frontal lobe. The restaurant immediately closed down after the incident, now dubbed the Bite of ’87.

After a few more years, n 1993, the pizzeria opened up again at the old Adagio Dazzle’s pizza location. This location stayed open for nearly 23 years, but eventually got shut down due to loss of business. The purple guy decided to get rid of the animatronics before the shutdown. He took them apart, but unwittingly released the souls of his victims. They chased him into the Spring Sonata suit, which crushed him and killed him. A year later, a horror attraction would open called Dazzle Fright. The owners would find the Spring Sonata with the purple pony inside, and set it free in the attraction. But the attraction would burn down on the 5th day of being open due to faulty wiring. The items that survived would be sold at an auction. The Adagio Dazzle name would go down in history.” I put down my quill.

“Wow,” A voice behind me said. “That’s an incredible story.” I turned around to see Twilight looking over my shoulder.

“How long have you been behind me?” I asked.

“Since you started writing,” Twilight said. “I read the whole thing. You should have that published in the newspaper.”

“I might do that,” I said.

“Well, I’ve got to go,” Twilight said. “Spike went out to do an errand, and he’s probably on his way back.”

“See you around,” I said. Twilight teleported away and I turned back to my excerpt. I suddenly realized what might happen if the founders of Dazzle Fright did find Springtrap, and what might happen if the building didn’t burn down. Springtrap might kill more innocent ponies. I couldn’t let that happen. I immediately made plans to burn down the pizzeria restaurant with Springtrap in it. To end this madness of the pizzeria.
