//-------------------------------------------------------// Fluttershy's Love -by BoxenMyBoot- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Harmony //-------------------------------------------------------// Harmony I open my eyes and see Fluttershy laying in bed with me. Her pink mane shines in the sun. "I'm still getting used to this," I think in a loving way. We took our relationship "to the next level" two months ago, and since then, Fluttershy had always wanted me to come over "if it was okay," she always says. It feels strange being in a relationship with a mare who thinks only of the stallion and not of herself, but I guess she's still getting used to this like me, except almost every time I'M under pressure, I don't make it noticeable. I can't help but come over when she texts me that on the new FIMPhone I got her to keep in touch with me. She uses the touch stencil I gave her with her teeth and she's getting to know all the advanced updates for it. I  lay on the right side of the bed and roll over to my right to check my phone. Once I stick my glasses on I am greeted by the sight of Angel glaring at me. Over the spand of these four months, I had gotten to know Angel very well, often butting heads with each other (whenever Fluttershy wasn't around) over whether Angel took advantage of her. "What, Angel?" I whisper to him trying not to wake Fluttershy. He grabs his food bowl and holds it up to my face. "He's hungry," I think. It was just six in the morning and he was already awake and hungry. I look back over to Fluttershy and see her with her eyes wearly open. "Is he hungry?" She asks me in an obviously tired tone. "Yeah, but I'll feed him." I say pulling the blanket off of me. "Oh, thank you," She says and rolls to the other side while pulling more of the blanket over her. "It's alright," I assure her. Angel hands me his bowl in a pushy motion and I take it with me into the kitchen of Fluttershy'shome and fill it with Angel's usual meal. Angel walks over to it, looks at it, sniffs it, pokes at a carrot, and shakes his head slowly. "But it's what you usually eat," I grumble. Angel sends me a glare, crosses his arms, and starts tapping his foot impatiently. This reminds me of how I treated my dad when I was a spoiled colt, and I instantly decide to tell this little bunny-rabbit exactly what my dad told me when I didn't wanna eat the food he presented me. "When I get hungry, I don't care what I eat as long as it's edible, and at the least a little good." I begin to lecture. He furrows his brow further. He obviously didn't care. "Look," I say giving up nicely, "eat it, or don't eat it. I presented good and edible food for you and it's your choice if you're gonna eat it. In fact, if I'm correct, you're able to survive missing one meal of the day, and if you choose to not eat all day, then you'll still be alive tomarrow." He then looks toward the hallway behind me with a pouting face and I turn around to see Fluttershy standing there leaning on one side of the doorway. "What's going on?" She asks. "He won't eat again," I say calmly, "and I'm trying to get through to him." "Oh," She lowers herself to Angel and smiles, "why won't you eat?" He squeaks for a while most likely repeating what I said. "Well, Band makes a good point." Angel turns his expression from complete and total sadness, to an extremely stern and frustrated pout. "But I guess we could find you something else," She gives. I quietly grumble at the fact of noticing her complete vulnerability, but I recalled that this vulnerability to certain situations was one of the reasons why I loved her. "Hey, I'll get Angel food if you want," I ask. Angel looks turns his head toward me and then looks back at Fluttershy and shakes his head. "He doesn't want you to, sorry," She says, "I'll take him." "Alright, but I'll be at my house if you want to find me," I say. As I'm biking home, at my usually quick pace, while singing to Diary Of Mare off of my MLP3 Player, I hear an admirably cocky tone of voice and the flap of wings. "Hey, Band," Rainbow Dash says while flying at my speed. I keep focus on the sidewalk. "Hey, Dash," I say. "Where you off to in a hurry?" She asks. "You should already know I just love riding fast," I reply with a smirk, "and I'm going to my house." Me and Dash have had races in the past, but no flying races, and I always fail terribly. "So what you going to do there?" She asks. "I might go on my computer and play some games." "Cool, can I come?" "If you want." "Awesome." "But only for a while," I inform, "I got my HoofTube Channel to deal with." I make a sharp left turn under Dash into an ally running pass potted plants and over bumpy gravel. I turn right and continue on a street down a hill. Once she catches up to me Dash asks, "Hey, Band?" "Yeah," I say while weaving my way past crowds of people and barely missing a carriage. "I want to talk to you about something when we get to your place." "Alright." ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When I get to the front yard of my big blue condo. Dash rests down onto her hooves and I hold the front door open for her. Inside, Blue Ray is laying on his dark sapphire cushion snoring softly, but when I close the door with a click, his head pops up looking over his shoulder to me and Dash. Dash had never been inside my home, so she never knew that I had a blue crystal dragon. Dash's mouth gaped in awe when she saw it. I walk over to my dragon and say to him, "Blue Ray, come." and he gets up to follow. "That. Is. AWESOME!" Dash says then she looks at me with a you-know-what look, "That might be why Fluttershy likes you." "No," I say humbly, "Well, it could be a plus for her, but... me and her have a 'click'." Dash gives me a glare, "A 'click'?" she quotes. I knew it sounded cheesy, so I had to think of what I meant. "A 'click'," I begin, "Like a cord connects to an outlet." I show with my hands then notice the inappropriate gesture I'm making and stop. "So," she says, "you're saying that you and her. Uh." She stresses her face to say something appropriately. I soon guess exactly what she wants to say and interrupt. "No, no, no, no. I mean, like we are meant to connect," I say, "Like we're meant to be together. We're perfect." "Oh. Ooooooooh," She now understands. I soon notice Blue Ray standing next to me wondering what we're talking about. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We continue the conversation in my computer room. "That's what I wanted to talk to you about," Dash says. "What?" I ask. "You and Fluttershy's relationship with each other." "Oh," I say while pouring me and her some blue raspberry lemonade with my blue unicorn magic, "What specifically do you want to talk about. I'll answer if I find it okay to answer." "Not really talk about you two," she says, "I wanted to inform just you about things I know about Fluttershy." I instantly thought, "What could she know that I don't about Fluttershy?" but then I noticed that Dash has been friends with Fluttershy since they were fillies. Dash then looks at her glass that she holds with both hands and twiddles her thumbs, "So you guys haven't..." she hesitates. "What?" I ask, "Had intercourse?" "Um... yeah," "No. We haven't," I answer glumly. I say this without questioning why Dash needs to know because I feel like Dash sort of has a right to ask. If not, it's still fine with me. "Just be nice to her," She blushes. I knew what Dash meant by that. I put my right hand on her left shoulder. "I will if it ever comes," I assure her softly. "Thanks, she's just frail when it comes to this, I suspect," She says, "Like if someone she holds as close as you to her, says something wrong towards her, no one would be able to pick up and put back together the pieces again. Not even me." I had never thought of that. Dash was right. If I ever say something to Fluttershy that would break her heart, she would wilt under the weight of despair like a delicate little flower. I soon notice I'm staring off to space and look back to Dash with a face of determination and grab one of her palms holging it with one hand under and one on top of the hand, "I know. That's why I'll take care of her." "Thanks, Band," She says with a small smile, "But not just 'cause I said so. Because you care for her." "Yes," I say, "I understand." My phone begins to ring Flutterwonder, which is Fluttershy's set ringtone, and I answer while giving Dash a finger meaning "one moment". "Yeah, Bubblegum?" I answer. That's her loving nickname I gave her. "Could I come over? It's okay if you don't want me to," Fluttershy says softly. "Yeah sure," I answer. "Thank you." "Bye. Love you." "Um... Love you." She hangs up. "Fluttershy's coming," I let Dash know. "Alright," She says, "Do you want me to leave you two private?" "I'm sure it's fine if you stay," I insist. "Alright." ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Rainbow Dash is lucky when I hear Fluttershy's soft knocking on the front door, since I had been owning Dash on the video games we were playing. Unknown Earth 2 is not a game she particularly likes anway. I get up and walk over to the front door. I open it and see Fluttershy smiling at me lovingly. I smiled back and gesture her in. She immediately takes notice of Dash sitting in the computer room stuffing her face with some cheese puffs. Fluttershy turns to me. "So you two have been over here?" She asks with a slight pouting face. I can't help but feel guilty for some reason. "Uh, yeah. Is that okay?" "Oh, I don't mind," She says. We stand there awkwardly for a moment. "So what are we gonna do, Fluttershy?" Dash breaks the silence with her enthusiastic tone. "Oh, Um," she hesitates, "Actually I wanted to talk to Band alone. So... Um... Could you go? You don't have to if don't want to." "Fluttershy," I say, "If you feel like you need privacy, then that's fine." "Uh, yeah. Sure," Dash replies. I follow Dash to the door. "It was fun having you over, Dash." I say with a smile. After I closed the door, I walked over to the kitchen where Fluttershy was sitting at the kitchen bar. "What did you want to talk about?" I ask. She looks away from the graphite counter to me, "I was wondering if I could spend time with you? You have lately been distant with your friends and I was just wondering." "Of course," I say holding her hand between my two, "I'll think of something, too." She smiles, "Thank you, Band. I just feel lonely a lot now." My ears perk up, "Why? Tell me." I sit on the other bar stool beside her. "I don't know," she says looking around. She obviously was trying not to hurt my feelings for whatever reason. "Come on," I say softly while guiding her face to mine, with a hand. Her eyes shining in the light like two faultless emeralds. She breathes in slowly, "I just want us to go somewhere to have fun." "Bubblegum," I say lovingly, "Of course. I'm sorry. I've just been too wrapped up in my work to notice." She smiles and blushes. I lean forward and give her a slow passionate kiss. //-------------------------------------------------------// Yin and Yang Backwards //-------------------------------------------------------// Yin and Yang Backwards I wake up the next morning laying in my bed with Fluttershy next to me, still asleep. Last night she had called an animal-caregiver to take care of Angel since she and I would spend the rest of the night watching movies she wanted to see and ones that I wanted to see. Lats night, she fell asleep on my lap halfway through the last movie and I carried her to bed with me. I get up and head to my computer since I don't feel hungry, yet. I boot up the computer and logg in to the news website for Equestrian events. "Fun... Fun... Fun..." I say, scrolling through all the events. It takes me a while to find a place that suits me and Fluttershy's liking, but then I see one, "Huh," I say in a mildly-surprised tone, "Vinyl's hosting a dance? That's not like her, but maybe Octavia forgot to add 'party' after 'dance'." "Band?" I hear Fluttershy ask from behind me in a tired tone from the computer room's doorway. I turn my chair around to see her. "Hey, Sweetie." I say. "What are you doing?" "I found us somewhere fun to go tonight." "What time is it?" She asks. "It's eight-seventeen, but you can go back to sleep." I assure. "Okay," She says and goes back to my bedroom. I continued searching for a while longer and notice the time is nine-twenty-two. I get off my computer and head to the bedroom to wake up Fluttershy, but I stop in the doorway to admire her for a moment and think, "How am I so lucky to have the sweetest mare I know in all of Equestria?" Then I hear a magical poof from behind me. I hear a certain mischievous tone say, "I see you and Fluttershy are here together." "Discord, Shush!" I whisper while turning to him quickly. He held a glass of what looked like water, but when I knocked it out of his hand, by waving my arms emphasizing to shush, it spelt onto the wooden floor and ate away at it like acid. "Great..." I groan glaring at the new burnt hole in my oak floor. "Great that you knocked my glass onto the floor." Discord says while crossing his arms and putting on a stern look. "Just... shut up for a moment, please." "Fine" Discord turns from me in a way a spoiled child would do so. I nudge Fluttershy with my hand to wake her up and she slowly opens her eyes after two nudges. She notices Discord behind me straight away and asks with a smile, "What brings you here, Discord?" Discord pops an umbrella out of thin air and says, "Oh, I was looking for you at your house and saw that you weren't there, so I thought Band might be helping you recover, since I assumed," Discord poofs a rain cloud above Fluttershy's mane and places the umbrella under the cloud over her, "you could be under the weather?" He then poofs the umbrella and cloud out of existence. "Oh, no I'm fine. Me and Band were just having a night together, yesterday," She says with a blush. Discord gives me a glare in which I ask, "What?" with a smirk. Even though I knew he felt jealous that she spent more time with me then him. "What did you need, Discord?" Fluttershy asks. "I'll tell you on the way," He says in a frustrated tone, "Can we go?" "Please, wait," She says sternly to Discord. Discord seemed surprised by Fluttershy. I didn't say anything. I only felt happy for Fluttershy's confidence. "Bandberry," She says. "Yeah, Bubblegum?" I reply. She gets out of bed and kisses me. I lean toward her and hug her as we kiss. When we pull away from each other she says softly, "Love you." "Love you, too." "Okaaaaaay..." Discord moans, "Enough with the lovey-dovey, please. Can we go now, Fluttershy?" "What will you be doing?" She asks me. "I'll take my computer to the library in Ponyville," I say. "Okay," She turns to Discord who waits impatiently, "Yes, we can." She answers, still stern. As they walk out the front door, I yell to Fluttershy half joking, "Don't let him run too far." _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When I make it to the library on my bike, I enter and walk through the library's halls until I make it to the "Bring Your Own Computer" computer room. Of course there are books here, but every book's contents in here somehow relates to computers and/or the advances in technology. I could see Twilight sitting alone at a table in the center of the room. "That's strange," I think, "Twilight usually reads at home." I walk over to her and sit my laptop onto the table. She looks up from her book and notices me. "Hey, Band," She says with a grin, "What brings you here?" I boot up my laptop, "I was about to ask you the same thing." I smile back. She places a bookmark in page and closes the book, "Spike put himself in charge of cleaning the entire castle and told me not to worry. He also recommended that I should go somewhere and relax, so I'm here." "Okay," I say, "Nice to see you." Of course, the whole time we are talking, I have a sound bubble up over me and Twilight to keep our voices unheard from outside the bubble. A spell Twilight personally taught me. A couple hours pass and my phone vibrates. I look at the text I get and it's from Fluttershy asking, "What are we doing tonight?" I text back, "I want to surprise you. Be ready to go at eight. :) " She replies, "Okay." _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Once I leave the library, it's seven (I'm usually on my computer a lot) and I come up with the idea to get Fluttershy something fun, and who better to go to for fun than Pinkie Pie. I got to Pinkie Pie's bakery and rang the bell on the counter. In only a second, Pinkie zips in front of the counter with her big iconic smile. "Hey, Band." She says. "Why are you here? You're birthday's not do for..." She pauses to count her fingers, "73 days." "I wanted to get a special some-pony something fun for her." I say with a wink. Pinkie first looks at me blankly and then remembers that it's Fluttershy. "Ooooooh," She says. "So do you know what she likes, Pinkie?" "Do I ever!? You wanna get her something small, right?" I nod. "Hold on a sec." She zips into the back of the store and comes back with a yellow cupcake. "She loves banana cream cupcakes!" "Great, Pinkie. Thanks." "Oh," She says modestly, "It's nothing for a lady's man." I laugh. "I wouldn't call myself that," I say, modest as well. After she gives me a blueberry muffin, for myself, I leave. I bike back to my house, place my bike inside, and head to my garage. In it is my special blue white-striped vehicle. I had always loved the these vehicles because I can race them very easily since I can maneuver passed sharp turns by letting go of the gas and then punching it once I've cleared a turn. I open the driver's door and drive off. I call Fluttershy on my phone and she picks up. I tell her know, "Sweetie, let me pick you up near The Town Hall." "Okay," She says, "Love you, bye." "Love you, bye." //-------------------------------------------------------// A Happy Ending //-------------------------------------------------------// A Happy Ending When I get to The Town Hall, I see Fluttershy waiting while holding an umbrella in the rain. I drive up to her and roll down the window. "Sorry," I say over the sound of raindrops hitting the ground, "I didn't know it would rain." She gets in and closes the umbrella. "It's okay," She insists, "Rainbow Dash told me it would rain." "Oh, okay." As I drive, it's quiet in the car since the car blocks out the sound from outside. I place my free right hand on Fluttershy's lap to get her attention since she seems to be dozing off. "Yeah?" She asks. "If you ever, at all, feel uncomfortable, just let me know," I say, "because there's gonna be a lot of people." She holds my hand with hers, "Alright." _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When we drive up into the parking lot it has stopped raining. I drive into a spot to park and get out of the car and walk over to Fluttershy's door to open it for her. She gives me a hug and steps back still holding me and says, "This is fun." "We're not even inside, yet," I joke. "I mean... It's fun being with you." We hold hands as we enter the nightclub which is filled with booming techno music followed by Vinyl calling through her microphone, "Now everyone! Let's get craz'ay in here!" and the bass kicks up with a bounce. We head to a booth to relax before we do anything and we sit across from each other. As we sit there, Fluttershy picks up a menu and asks, "What are you going to drink?" "I don't know," I say honestly while leaning back on my seat, "What do you think I should drink?" "Well, you usually get a BuckLight beer." "Alright," I smile at her as I sit up, "I'll get a BuckLight. You can just have less of the Appletinis." "Okay." She blushes with a smile. For a while we're sitting, drinking, and laughing at eachother's jokes and funny stories, and next thing I know, I hear Vinyl say, "Okay, every pony. Now let's calm a bit down for some slow dance." I knew that this night was the special " Romance Night " that Vinyl does once a month and that it would allow me and Fluttershy to enjoy the night without Fluttershy feeling uncomfortable. If she ever does feel uncomfortable around me, I'll help her. The slow dance music starts and I look toward Fluttershy, who's blushing, and ask, "You wanna dance, Fluttershy?" She giggles, "Sure." As we join the dance floor, I hold her close to me as we slow dance. She leans her head on my chest and asks, "Band?" "Yeah," I say. "This is sweet. Thank you." "I just wanted you to enjoy yourself." She picks up her head and looks at me, "I'm having fun." _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Once inside my home, I tell Fluttershy that I'm gonna take a shower and she says that she'll just head to bed. Once I finish drying my hair, I go to bed with her and lay down on her right. Fluttershy then lays her arm over my chest and snuggles up to me. "Band?" She asks in a whisper almost hesitantly. "What is it?" "I had a lot of fun." "You did?" "Yeah..." she pauses, "And... I thought... That... We could have more fun." I roll over to her and smile. I give her a long warm kiss and when we let go of the kiss, I breathe out, "If you're ready." "I am."
