We don't want to come late for this meeting!“ I called through library. „I'm trying, Twilight, but there was problem with getting some blankets.“ purple baby dragon said with a bit of anger in his voice. He was pulling small red cart loaded with blankets, some apples, cookies and a thick book about stars. On top of cart was telescope, which was smaller then the one on top of the library. „I told you to start looking for them before you have been napping.“ I said and opened door leading out. It was few hours before dusk, but we were staying out until morning. It was one of the warmest days, so the night should be warm too. Me and Spike headed up to Sweet Apple Acres. We stopped by Rarity's house. She always keeps her mane and tail clean and well-tended, even today. She was wearing her saddlebags, with scarf and her blanket inside that day. Then we stopped by Suggarcube corner. It is a small candy shop. There has been living Pinkie Pie. She is everything, what you can imagine, when you think about party-pony and today was no different. We left Suggarcube corner with her and a bit larger smiles. „Ooh, I'm so excited. It's like huge sleepover...or slumber party!“ Pinkie told while she was jumping around. When we got to the Apple Acres, there was Applejack and Rainbow Dash waiting for us and laughing. They looked like they had been running. These two mares have never given up challenging one another, but that's what have always been the core of their friendship. When one needed help, they have always been willing to help each other. They both had their own saddlebags with some snacks, drinks and their own blankets. „Oh dear. Look at yourself. What a mess you both are.“ Rarity said while she was looking at Applejack and Rainbow, but they only started to laugh again. This laugh started to be epidemic and after a moment, we all was laughing except Rarity. She was only smiling. After calming down, we started to head to the Flutteshy's house. She have the house near edge of Everfree forest. It's quiet and peaceful place most of the time. She live there with many creatures and critters. Yellow pegasus had been tending them. She asked me to take one more blanket for her so she was the only one without some pack. It was nearly dusk, when we started to head up to the hill. It was a small hill between Ponyville and Everfree forest. Perfect for making picnic and watching stars. Me and Spike unpacked our cart. One large blanket under everypony and three more. One for Fluttershy, one for me and a smaller one for Spike. I cast a simple spell on cart. It held cart on place and protected book inside from any disaster. After a while, everypony was sitting on the large blanket. We all were just sitting and chatting about our day. Spike started to looking sleepy. Moon wasn't that much high, when we finally finished chatting and started to observe stars. Spike fell asleep. “I'm glad, we were able to made it to this midnight picnic.” I said. “Ya, It's nice to be with you, girls.” Applejack said. “It's always wonderful, spending time with you.” Rarity agreed. “I like spending time with you, because without you, world would be super-sad place.” Pinkie said. “Without you, I'm not as cool as I'm with you, girls.” Rainbow said. Fluttershy let out only a few quiet squeaks. No one laughed. We just smiled, because we knew her well enough to know, what she wanted to say. We also knew that, she was very sensitive and not much good in expressing this kind of emotions. We started to hug each other and for a few minutes, we stayed in group-hug. After that, we laid down to have a better position to look at stars and moon. I leaded the game. The others were trying to recognize star constellations. It was started to be a bit cold after a half of an hour. We get our blankets. I cowered Spike with his blanket and then we get back to my game. In that time, in Canterlot in one of it's tower's balcony “I love you so much.” Pink alicorn mare said. “I love you so much too. It's wonderful night.” White unicorn colt replied. Couple started kissing each other. Alicorn's horn started to glow brightly, but no pony noticed it. That couple was so lost in each other, that they didn't noticed spell cast unintentionally by alicorn. Air was rippling in expanding ring around couple. Finally alicorn realized, what she had done. “Oh no, not again. I should really work harder on my magic control.” she said quietly. “I hope it was nothing harmful.” unicorn whispered. “No. I think it will help somepony. It was spell for tiny increasing somepony's emotions for his or her special somepony. I commonly use it for helping couples realize that fact.” she said. “So, I see no harm in it. Let's do this again.” he said with a little giggle and she started to giggle too. Back on hill Wave of rippling and a bit warmer air hit six playing mares. They hadn't noticed it. Only thing, they noticed was a new feeling. Feeling, that something is a little different, but they didn't know what. They was just laying on large blanket, covered by their own ones and playing “Guess what's I'm thinking of” game. It was nearly midnight and they were still playing. It was become colder. “Applejack, would you mind if I lay closer to you? It's really cold here.” Rarity whispered quietly to mare, who was laying next to her. Applejack simply smiled and shook her head. Rarity snuggled up to Applejack. In fact Applejack have felt cold too, but she was embarrassed to admit that. After a while, Rainbow asked Pinkie, when she thought that everypony was lost in thoughts about my riddle. Pinkie giggled a bit, but agreed. I was a bit shocked when a soft whisper of Fluttershy reached my ear “If you don't mind, I would like to snuggle a bit, because it's a bit cold, but I understand if you don't want.” I was shocked, but I realized that it's not bothering me, but I felt another feeling. I haven't recognized that feeling. “Of course I don't mind. It's cold tonight.” I replied as quiet whisper. One moment after that she snuggled up with me. It somehow calm me down a bit more. Feeling of her coat, mane and her warm helped me quietly relax. It looked like everypony felt similar. No pony could asleep, but they were just relaxing with a close friend next to them. I closed my eyes and listened to sound of night bugs and something else. Something more quiet, but without a reason more important for me. I realized, that I really listen to Fluttershy's gentle breath. I felt a blush on my cheeks, but still I was only smiling and not worrying about anything. After all it was night and dark. One part of me prayed to stop time forever and stay snuggled that close to her. I started thinking. What is it? Is it still friendship? What if there is something wrong with me? But if it is wrong, why am I feeling so good? I was confused. Rainbow and Pinkie was giggling quietly. There was no doubt that they were whispering themselves about their time spent together by pulling pranks. I opened one eye and looked at them. I was wondering. They were cuddled up tightly with mouths near each others ear. It felt a bit strange. I was felt a bit of sadness and a bit of happiness. I looked at Rarity and Applejack. They was snuggled tightly and Applejack was rubbing her nose against Rarity's neck. I shivered a bit with image of somepony doing that to me. “Do you feel cold?” Fluttershy immediately whispered and covered me with her wing before I was able to say something. I was going to say something to her to keep her wing for herself, but I realized that I kinda liked it. I closed my eyes again. “It's fine, thanks.” I said with another blush on my cheeks. It was strange night. I was unable to asleep because of endless stream of thoughts about Fluttershy. Memories about time spent with her, dancing with her on parties. Helping her with animals. And what is this strange calming warm I feel inside me? I haven't read about it yet. Is it some sort of disease? Quiet moaning and a lot louder giggling snapped me out of my thoughts. “What's happening?” I opened eyes and looked around. “Nothing, we were just kissing each other.” Pinkie replied with wild giggling. “What?” I asked more louder and I was looking more confused then before. “Kissing, silly. Like on lips. You should try it too. It's great.” Pinkie said and then giggled again with Dash. “Oh...whatever...” I said. I was shocked by recklessness of pink pony. That's not what friends are for, or is it? I was confused. What's happening to everypony? Is this some sort of weird magic? But I must admit, that I always liked Fluttershy a bit more then others. What? What I'm thinking? I looked at Rarity and Applejack. They were just in middle of long passionate kiss. What was that feeling? It was...envy? No. “Yeah. Pinkie is right. Ya really should try it too.” Applejack said quietly when she was free. Two giggling voices were heard immediately after that. Fluttershy moved a bit. I looked at her. I shouldn't did that. I instantly drown in her eyes. No it wasn't her Stare. I looked at her eyes. There was so many feelings mirrored in her eyes. Fear, happiness, confusion,...and love? In that moment I realized that I feel very similar. Her eyes was my book about feelings and there was written everything. We looked into each others eyes very long and then our lips met themselves. I closed my eyes and forgot everything. Pinkie was right. It was great. I hugged Fluttershy and cuddled up to her. After breaking our kiss, she let out a quiet shy squeak. Pinkie and Dash started to giggle again. “Don't worry, Shy. You quickly get used to it.” Pinkie said. Fluttershy just cuddled up tighter. I started to calm her down and caressing her back. She was relaxed after a moment. I heard her slow breath, felt her chest and smelled her scent. She smelled a bit like flowers and a little bit after apples and chocolate, but it was from apple juice and cookies. I started to softly rub my cheek against hers. She cuddled up a little bit tighter and started to move a bit. After a few moments our lips met again in second kiss. That one was longer and sweeter. So it's she, Fluttershy, who is my special somepony. I thought when we were looking to each others eyes after our kiss. (2) The day after“What happened?!” familiar woke me up with shouting, “I thought you were supposed to be friends, not...whatever it looks like!” I realized it was Spike. I opened my eyes. It was morning. Fluttershy was cuddled up tightly to me. I liked having her so close to me. Everypony else seemed to be woken up by Spike. “What's wrong, Spiky wikey?” Pinkie asked with big smile. “It's...well let's face it. You are cuddled up with yourself. Even if I overlook that you are all mares, you were supposed to be elements of friendship. This doesn't look like a friendship.” Spike said while he was looking at us. “We'r still friends, but we realized somethin'.” Applejack said and yawned. “We just realized that we have special somepony near us whole time. But I think it doesn't really mess up our friendships.” Rarity said. She looked a lot messier then usually. Her coat and mane was full of dust from Applejack, but it looked like it didn't bother her. “And I like that we all find our super-special somepony without some conflicts and no pony is upset about it now.” Pinkie said with cheerful color of voice, “You know what this calls for? A party!” Everyone laughed for a while. We really didn't noticed that there was one, who really was upset. Spike left when we were laughing. “Where is Spike?” I asked everypony, when I noticed missing him after we stopped laughing. “I don't know, but I think I know why he left.” Pinkie said and looked at Rarity. “I know. I don't know what to do. I like him, like a friend. He is my close friend, but...” Her voice broke down. Applejack hugged her. “We know, but we must do something about that.” I said and started to think about that situation. “Well I guess it will be better if we pack everything and go back to town.” Rainbow said and kissed Pinkie on cheek. We agreed and packed everything. I pulled my cart back, because Spike looked like he left back to library. Fluttershy left us when we get to her house. Her creatures greets her warmly and she have to give them food. She said me that she will come to see me in the afternoon. I felt a little sad, when I had to left her. Everypony had something to do so we broke our group and left. When I arrived in library, I found Spike. He was sitting on stairs in really bad mood. “Are you ok?” I asked, but it was obvious that there is something bad. “No, I'm not. It's not good to find somepony you love with somepony else.” Spike sighed, “I mean I knew somehow that I cannot be with her, but still it hurts me.” “I think, you should talk to her. She felt bad for that. After all you still have friendship with her.” I said. “I don't know, Twilight. I think it will only hurt me more if I see her.” he said with head in his hands. “Talking often helps to accept something painful and she is not only one pony in all Equestria.” I said. “I know, but still it hurts. I think I ask Princess for some temporary job in Canterlot. Something around library.” he started thinking. “If you think it will help you recover, I will arrange it. I have never seen you growing, but you have grown, Spike.” I said. He smiled a little, but still he was upset. In Canterlot “Princess Cadence? Princess Celestia wanted to see you in her quarters.” royal guard was only delivering a message to pink alicorn. “Thank you, for message. You don't know why Princess wanted to see me, do you?” she asked. “No, Princess, but Princess Celestia said it's urgent.” royal guard said and left. Cadence came to Celestia's quarters. Celestia didn't looked quite happy. “You have been quite irresponsible in the evening yesterday.” Celestia said when she saw Cadence. “I...I know.” Cadence dropped her head, “I don't know why it is happening.” “I know it was not harmful spell, but still you should be more careful with that. I think, you affected the elements of harmony.” Celestia said and pointed to five necklaces and one tiara. Gems on them was glowing with energy, “I felt difference shortly after your spell and brought them here to study them. I came to conclusion. You helped them to find their special somepony, but after while of examination, I realized that elements are now coupled and they share the similar energies. Honesty with Generosity, Laughter with Loyalty and Kindness with Magic. Do you realize, what does it means?” Cadence was shocked. She knew exactly, what is meaning of this, “I...I can't believe it. That was only supporting spell. They must had their feelings before.” “I knew it was, so I'm not angry. I only wanted to show you this, because it was your work. And it was only matter of time after all. They started to look like they have nothing more to learn about friendship and I think this will make some problems to solve.” Celestia said. “Aren't they a bit young to start with magic of love? I know, that no pony is too young or old to start with loving somepony, but...” Cadence said, but cannot finish it. “No, no, Cadence. I'm not going to reveal them that kind of magic now. I cannot hide it from them forever, but I wanted them to at least get used to their new relationships.”Celestia interrupted Cadence. “Oh...I see. Then everything is fine now...may be better. We will see. And I have something to learn too.” Cadence said and Celestia agreed. Back in Ponyville Spike left to talk with Rarity and I started to unpack and clean up everything from cart. I cannot resist of smelling blanket, which was for Fluttershy. What I smelled had given me a smile, because it remembered me last night. It have been most beautiful night in my life. After cleaning I started writing the letter to Princess. “Ow...hello, Spike. How...how are you?” Rarity asked with a bit of worries. “I think that you know. Twilight have given me advise to speak to you about us. All I want to say is that I'm not angry, I don't hate you for this. I'm just sad, because it hurt me inside. Are we still friends?” Spike said and looked at Rarity. “Of course we are friends. You are great friend, Spike. I was so worried about that you will hate me. Thank you.” Rarity said and smiled. “I'm glad you are happy. Somehow I knew that this will happen, but I didn't know when or where.” Spike said looking to the ground, “I think, I'll go back to library. Bye, Rarity.” “Bye, Spike. I hope you will get well soon.” Rarity said, before Spike closed door after him. “Even if he looks like a baby, he has now grown. A lot.” Rarity said quietly to herself. I was unable to write down what I wanted to say to Princess. It was so complicated. I surely learned something, but is it really friendship? I didn't know. Everything, what I have written yet was bad in some way. I think it's time to call others to make that letter. I thought when I saw that pile of crumpled papers with imperfect letters. I will just wait for Spike and then I go and invite them. After that decision, I started to look for some books. I didn't know what I wanted so I was just looking for some interesting title. With a little weird feeling, I found a book about pegasus wings and their anatomy. It was a thin book and I started to read it immediately. There was a short chapter about their biology and much larger chapter about how to keep them in good condition. I haven't noticed that Spike was back so I read that book till end. It was really quick reading, because there was many and many pictures. I knew for what I'm looking. I found it on a few last pages. Small chapter about weak and sensitive spots on wings. I read that chapter with smile. She will be surprised in a good way. “Ow...you are back? Sorry I didn't noticed you, I was reading that book. How was it with Rarity?” I asked, when I found out that Spike had returned. “It was fine. Thank you, Twilight. I think it really helped me a bit. What are you going to do for the rest of the day?” Spike asked. “I'm unable to come up with something to write to the Princess, so I wanted to invite all girls at evening to think about that together.” I said. “Would you mind if I won't attend?” Spike asked. “No. If you don't want to be here, I will not hold you. I think I can write it down. But I will need you to send it.” I said. “Fine. I will try to attend, but I don't know if I can.” Spike said. “Well then. I'm off. If Fluttershy come, say her that I will be here in a few minutes. Bye, my number one assistant.” I said and left him alone in library. I missed dinner, when I was reading so I asked for an apple, when I was delivering my message to Applejack. It looked like everypony have some plan for afternoon, but I was able to caught up with them and they agreed. A moment after I returned back to library, Fluttershy came. We quickly kissed each other as a greetings and then I realized that I didn't figure out what to do. “Oh, I'm sorry. I've been reading a book and I forgot to make some plan for us, but I invited others to come in the evening, because I wanted to write about us all to the Princess and I failed to come up with something.” I apologized to her. “It's fine. We can think of something now. Everything what we will do together will be fine.” she said softly, with smile. I kissed her again. We agreed with a going for a walk and then return to library and cook something together. We walked slowly, talking about ourselves. She talked about her childhood in clouds and I talked about my childhood in Canterlot. It wasn't sometimes easy for her, but when she cannot talk, I calmed her down. She had not easy childhood and she was decided to tell it to me. When I said her that, she didn't need to say me all that things if she didn't want, she replied that she want me to know it since I'm her special pony. When we returned back to library, Spike was reading some story book. I grabbed a cook book and we started to look for some recipe, which would look delicious. She snuggled up to me while we looked into book. After a while I realized that she really wanted some snuggling. “Don't worry to say it, please. I like it too.” I whispered her to her ear, when we laid in my bed in library. She only nodded and then she cuddled up to me. She was smiling with blush on her cheeks. We both relaxed together. The rest of the day was away faster then we would wished. We greeted our friends. Obviously they came in couples. We sat in the middle of library and started to think. Spike was near and he looked good. “So you are saying, you have problem with writing a letter?” Rainbow Dash asked. She was sitting next to Pinkie cowering Pinkie with her wing. “Actually I really don't know what to write. Everything I was able to come up was uncompleted or told too much. I think Princess shouldn't read about how great is kissing or something like this.” I said. “Why not? It's true.” Pinkie said and giggled. “I think Princess already know this and after all I cannot speak for you all. I don't know how you feel about that.” I said. “I think, we all feel the same, sugarcube.” Applejack said. “So you think we can start? I want you all to help me write that letter, because after all it's something we all are experiencing right now.” I said. “Fine, so official opening...” Rarity started. Dear Princess Celestia. We are writing you, because we discovered that friendship is unlimited and there is plenty of space for everypony. While friendship is still great think and it's what is holding us together, there is much deeper feeling, which is reserved for only one pony. Last night we were outside for night picnic and we discovered love. It's feeling, which is much deeper and much more wonderful. It's also much more dangerous. Even if friendship is not that deep, we like to do much more things for our friends and we like to make them happy. We can go for our friends to the end of the world without hesitation and stand up for them. We are also not so upset if we don't see our friends every day. We are fine if we know that our friends are safe. If we love somepony, we are upset when we don't see our love for a while. We all can imagine that love can hurt really badly. We were hurt sometimes in friendship, but we all hope that we won't hurt ourselves with love, because it's simply greater force then friendship. We also realized that this feeling was inside us from different events. Still we don't know why our feeling for our special somepony increased that night that much that we in fact realized it. All we know for sure is that it haven't been caused by that place. Do you have any idea, our highness? I must go home and feed my pets.” she said. “I will be awake for some time so if you will be feeling lonely, come.” I smiled to her. “I will. Bye.” she whispered to my ear and kissed me. Then she left me alone in library. I started reading some book about magic barriers. It was one of the oldest book in the library. After some pages, I started to feel tired so I took a quick bath. I was finishing a chapter, when I heard soft knocking. It was Fluttershy. I felt much happier, when I saw her again. I let her inside and returned back to book. She only laid next to me and dropped her head on my back. She quickly fell asleep. After I read another chapter, I carefully taken her by my magic and took her to my bed and covered her with blanket. She was lighter then I thought. It must have been that she is pegasus and she is allowed to fly or stand on clouds. I laid next to her and crawled under blanket too. I didn't even woke her up. I snuggled up to her. I quickly fell asleep too with her scent lightly tickling me in my nose. She must have been really tired. I have woken up earlier then she. I sneaked out from her to prepare some breakfast. I took her breakfast to bed and woke her up with gentle poke with my nose. “Wow, Twilight. You've made me breakfast in bed. Thanks.” she said with a blush on her cheeks when she have woken up. “It's nothing, really.” I said quietly and kissed her and then she started to eat her breakfast. “Sorry I have to leave so fast. My critters are used to have breakfast earlier so I don't want to startle them with not being there. I'll come when I will take care of them all, see you later.” she said and left after she finished eating. I started to have thoughts about relocating myself to her house. I was working in library, but I should be able to move opening hour to later. There is no need to hurry. I said to myself and buried that thoughts deep inside my mind. Finally Spike has woken up. “Morning, Spike.” I greeted him, “Any letter from Princess?” “Morning, Twi. From Princess? Nothing have came yet.” Spike answered. “That's strange. Never mind, she maybe don't know what to say.” I said rather for myself. But some doubt inside me started to build pressure inside my mind. It shouldn't be so hard to answer that letter. Am I right about that our feelings for each other are right? What if Princess disagree with me? She can banish all of us for taking our friendship too far. That wouldn't be that bad, but what if she banishes us sending us each on different place? She have never ignored my letter. What if she decide not to be my mentor any more? I started pacing around library. “What's happening? Is there something wrong?” Spike asked me. He must have noticed, because that quick clapping of hooves should be annoying especially in quiet library. “No...really...nothing. I'm...just...nervous.” I managed to say. “Is it about that letter?” Spike asked. “Yes.” I said while I was still pacing around library. Walking didn't seem to be helping. “You should really stop being worried about. She may have some of her royal duties.” Spike said. “What if she didn't forgive me!” I yelled question, which was currently in my mind. “What have you done something bad?” Spike asked with calm. His calm was frustrating and she obviously wasn't following my mind. I saw that situation hopeless. “AAAARRH!” I growled desperately and sprinted out. When I opened eyes, I was out of Ponyville. That desperate growl and sprint calmed me somehow. I took few deep breaths to clear my head. Sometimes Spike have been unable to follow her mind, but it's not his fault. I should apologize him. He was trying to help me. I said to myself. Then I slowly headed up back to library trying not to think about anything, especially about letter. “Sorry, Spike. I shouldn't have freaked out like this.” I said, when I returned to the library. “It's fine. Don't worry about this at least. You should really relax more. I think Princess knows that you haven't done anything bad. You should go help Fluttershy with her creatures to stop think about the letter. And don't worry, I'll take care of library.” Spike said. “Ooh, thanks, Spike.” I said. “It's nothing. Just go and try to relax.” Spike said and started to clean up some books. I left him and sprinted to Fluttershy's cottage. I wanted to be with her, but especially I wanted to forget about all my worries. Being with my friends always helped me to forget about my worries and I was able to completely forget about all my worries, when I was with Fluttershy a day ago. “Oh...my, what happened?” Fluttershy asked when I came. “Nothing...really.” I managed to say before I started to try catching my breath. I had been running all the way to her. She waited till I calmed myself a bit, “Why have you been running then?” she asked. “I discovered that it's great way to clean my head. I think I now understand to Rainbow and her love of flying.” I said. I realized that I'm all cowered in sweat. It gave my cheek a bit more red color. “Was there something bothering you? Or you had enough of your books?” she quietly asked. She must knew that I was worried about something. She came closer and started to rub my neck with her cheek. She stopped for a moment and I noticed that she is breathing deeply. She is enjoying that I'm nearly covered in sweat? I asked myself and my cheeks turned completely red. “No...it's just that I was worried about the letter and Princess's reaction.” I whispered and slowly cuddled her up to me. We lost balance and fell to the grass. We laid together in glass in tight hug, enjoying that gorgeous moment. I closed my eyes. I felt happy. “I must finish tending the creatures. Wanna help?” she asked me quietly. She whispered that to my ear. “Of coarse. I'm glad to help you. What should I do?” I asked and opened my eyes. Her head was right before me. Her beautiful eyes, soft mane. I was still able to see some shyness in her eyes. We gazed at each other with smile. I tried to look deeply in her eyes. Some books were saying that there is possible to see somepony's soul through her or his eyes and I was trying. I knew that books was classified as fiction, but I also knew that this must have came from somewhere. I knew that there must have been inspiration for that. Every romance book was inspired by someone's feeling, because they described exactly most her feelings. “Hmm...we really should take care of the rest of your animals before we start doing anything else.” I said quietly. I hated to break our lovely moment. “Oh, my...you are right.” she said quietly and started to get up, “I just need to check snakes and then collect eggs from my chickens.” “Well...I think I'll gonna collect these eggs.” I said. “I know you are afraid of snakes. I'll be back in no time. Have fun with chickens.” she said and we split. There were five eggs in hen house. I carefully grabbed them with my magic and brought them inside. I put them on the shelf in Fluttershy's kitchen. Few moments after, Fluttershy came. “Now, we have nearly whole day for ourselves.” she said with smile. Canterlot, Princess Celestia's quarters “Good day, my aunt. You wanted to see me?” Candance, pink alicorn, asked. “Yes. I think, they are ready. They sent me a letter. Celestia prepared parchment, inkwell and quill. After few hours back in Ponyville “I should go to give my animals some food. The sun is going down.” Fluttershy whispered softly, caressing my mane with her hoof. “I think I'll go back in library. I hope you will get there soon. I have a feeling that I have a letter waiting there for us all.” I said quietly and while I was nuzzling her neck. I gave her a passionate and long kiss. I was right. When I came back, there was really thick letter waiting for me. After an hour, other girls gathered up in library. When we were ready, we opened that letter. My most faithful student. I, Princess Celestia was thinking about your letter quite a long time. I came to that I will split my mentor's duty between me and my niece Cadance. I'm curious what is that spell she sent us.” I said and started to study the third parchment. I realized that there was much more quiet then normally, then I saw the reason. Dash and Pinkie was in middle of great-looking kiss. Finally somepony, who can keep Pinkie without talking for more than five minutes. I thought and then I giggled at that thought. (1) Night of realization„Hurry, Spike! We don't want to come late for this meeting!“ I called through library. „I'm trying, Twilight, but there was problem with getting some blankets.“ purple baby dragon said with a bit of anger in his voice. He was pulling small red cart loaded with blankets, some apples, cookies and a thick book about stars. On top of cart was telescope, which was smaller then the one on top of the library. „I told you to start looking for them before you have been napping.“ I said and opened door leading out. It was few hours before dusk, but we were staying out until morning. It was one of the warmest days, so the night should be warm too. Me and Spike headed up to Sweet Apple Acres. We stopped by Rarity's house. She always keeps her mane and tail clean and well-tended, even today. She was wearing her saddlebags, with scarf and her blanket inside that day. Then we stopped by Suggarcube corner. It is a small candy shop. There has been living Pinkie Pie. She is everything, what you can imagine, when you think about party-pony and today was no different. We left Suggarcube corner with her and a bit larger smiles. „Ooh, I'm so excited. It's like huge sleepover...or slumber party!“ Pinkie told while she was jumping around. When we got to the Apple Acres, there was Applejack and Rainbow Dash waiting for us and laughing. They looked like they had been running. These two mares have never given up challenging one another, but that's what have always been the core of their friendship. When one needed help, they have always been willing to help each other. They both had their own saddlebags with some snacks, drinks and their own blankets. „Oh dear. Look at yourself. What a mess you both are.“ Rarity said while she was looking at Applejack and Rainbow, but they only started to laugh again. This laugh started to be epidemic and after a moment, we all was laughing except Rarity. She was only smiling. After calming down, we started to head to the Flutteshy's house. She have the house near edge of Everfree forest. It's quiet and peaceful place most of the time. She live there with many creatures and critters. Yellow pegasus had been tending them. She asked me to take one more blanket for her so she was the only one without some pack. It was nearly dusk, when we started to head up to the hill. It was a small hill between Ponyville and Everfree forest. Perfect for making picnic and watching stars. Me and Spike unpacked our cart. One large blanket under everypony and three more. One for Fluttershy, one for me and a smaller one for Spike. I cast a simple spell on cart. It held cart on place and protected book inside from any disaster. After a while, everypony was sitting on the large blanket. We all were just sitting and chatting about our day. Spike started to looking sleepy. Moon wasn't that much high, when we finally finished chatting and started to observe stars. Spike fell asleep. “I'm glad, we were able to made it to this midnight picnic.” I said. “Ya, It's nice to be with you, girls.” Applejack said. “It's always wonderful, spending time with you.” Rarity agreed. “I like spending time with you, because without you, world would be super-sad place.” Pinkie said. “Without you, I'm not as cool as I'm with you, girls.” Rainbow said. Fluttershy let out only a few quiet squeaks. No one laughed. We just smiled, because we knew her well enough to know, what she wanted to say. We also knew that, she was very sensitive and not much good in expressing this kind of emotions. We started to hug each other and for a few minutes, we stayed in group-hug. After that, we laid down to have a better position to look at stars and moon. I leaded the game. The others were trying to recognize star constellations. It was started to be a bit cold after a half of an hour. We get our blankets. I cowered Spike with his blanket and then we get back to my game. In that time, in Canterlot in one of it's tower's balcony “I love you so much.” Pink alicorn mare said. “I love you so much too. It's wonderful night.” White unicorn colt replied. Couple started kissing each other. Alicorn's horn started to glow brightly, but no pony noticed it. That couple was so lost in each other, that they didn't noticed spell cast unintentionally by alicorn. Air was rippling in expanding ring around couple. Finally alicorn realized, what she had done. “Oh no, not again. I should really work harder on my magic control.” she said quietly. “I hope it was nothing harmful.” unicorn whispered. “No. I think it will help somepony. It was spell for tiny increasing somepony's emotions for his or her special somepony. I commonly use it for helping couples realize that fact.” she said. “So, I see no harm in it. Let's do this again.” he said with a little giggle and she started to giggle too. Back on hill Wave of rippling and a bit warmer air hit six playing mares. They hadn't noticed it. Only thing, they noticed was a new feeling. Feeling, that something is a little different, but they didn't know what. They was just laying on large blanket, covered by their own ones and playing “Guess what's I'm thinking of” game. It was nearly midnight and they were still playing. It was become colder. “Applejack, would you mind if I lay closer to you? It's really cold here.” Rarity whispered quietly to mare, who was laying next to her. Applejack simply smiled and shook her head. Rarity snuggled up to Applejack. In fact Applejack have felt cold too, but she was embarrassed to admit that. After a while, Rainbow asked Pinkie, when she thought that everypony was lost in thoughts about my riddle. Pinkie giggled a bit, but agreed. I was a bit shocked when a soft whisper of Fluttershy reached my ear “If you don't mind, I would like to snuggle a bit, because it's a bit cold, but I understand if you don't want.” I was shocked, but I realized that it's not bothering me, but I felt another feeling. I haven't recognized that feeling. “Of course I don't mind. It's cold tonight.” I replied as quiet whisper. One moment after that she snuggled up with me. It somehow calm me down a bit more. Feeling of her coat, mane and her warm helped me quietly relax. It looked like everypony felt similar. No pony could asleep, but they were just relaxing with a close friend next to them. I closed my eyes and listened to sound of night bugs and something else. Something more quiet, but without a reason more important for me. I realized, that I really listen to Fluttershy's gentle breath. I felt a blush on my cheeks, but still I was only smiling and not worrying about anything. After all it was night and dark. One part of me prayed to stop time forever and stay snuggled that close to her. I started thinking. What is it? Is it still friendship? What if there is something wrong with me? But if it is wrong, why am I feeling so good? I was confused. Rainbow and Pinkie was giggling quietly. There was no doubt that they were whispering themselves about their time spent together by pulling pranks. I opened one eye and looked at them. I was wondering. They were cuddled up tightly with mouths near each others ear. It felt a bit strange. I was felt a bit of sadness and a bit of happiness. I looked at Rarity and Applejack. They was snuggled tightly and Applejack was rubbing her nose against Rarity's neck. I shivered a bit with image of somepony doing that to me. “Do you feel cold?” Fluttershy immediately whispered and covered me with her wing before I was able to say something. I was going to say something to her to keep her wing for herself, but I realized that I kinda liked it. I closed my eyes again. “It's fine, thanks.” I said with another blush on my cheeks. It was strange night. I was unable to asleep because of endless stream of thoughts about Fluttershy. Memories about time spent with her, dancing with her on parties. Helping her with animals. And what is this strange calming warm I feel inside me? I haven't read about it yet. Is it some sort of disease? Quiet moaning and a lot louder giggling snapped me out of my thoughts. “What's happening?” I opened eyes and looked around. “Nothing, we were just kissing each other.” Pinkie replied with wild giggling. “What?” I asked more louder and I was looking more confused then before. “Kissing, silly. Like on lips. You should try it too. It's great.” Pinkie said and then giggled again with Dash. “Oh...whatever...” I said. I was shocked by recklessness of pink pony. That's not what friends are for, or is it? I was confused. What's happening to everypony? Is this some sort of weird magic? But I must admit, that I always liked Fluttershy a bit more then others. What? What I'm thinking? I looked at Rarity and Applejack. They were just in middle of long passionate kiss. What was that feeling? It was...envy? No. “Yeah. Pinkie is right. Ya really should try it too.” Applejack said quietly when she was free. Two giggling voices were heard immediately after that. Fluttershy moved a bit. I looked at her. I shouldn't did that. I instantly drown in her eyes. No it wasn't her Stare. I looked at her eyes. There was so many feelings mirrored in her eyes. Fear, happiness, confusion,...and love? In that moment I realized that I feel very similar. Her eyes was my book about feelings and there was written everything. We looked into each others eyes very long and then our lips met themselves. I closed my eyes and forgot everything. Pinkie was right. It was great. I hugged Fluttershy and cuddled up to her. After breaking our kiss, she let out a quiet shy squeak. Pinkie and Dash started to giggle again. “Don't worry, Shy. You quickly get used to it.” Pinkie said. Fluttershy just cuddled up tighter. I started to calm her down and caressing her back. She was relaxed after a moment. I heard her slow breath, felt her chest and smelled her scent. She smelled a bit like flowers and a little bit after apples and chocolate, but it was from apple juice and cookies. I started to softly rub my cheek against hers. She cuddled up a little bit tighter and started to move a bit. After a few moments our lips met again in second kiss. That one was longer and sweeter. So it's she, Fluttershy, who is my special somepony. I thought when we were looking to each others eyes after our kiss.
(2) The day after“What happened?!” familiar woke me up with shouting, “I thought you were supposed to be friends, not...whatever it looks like!” I realized it was Spike. I opened my eyes. It was morning. Fluttershy was cuddled up tightly to me. I liked having her so close to me. Everypony else seemed to be woken up by Spike. “What's wrong, Spiky wikey?” Pinkie asked with big smile. “It's...well let's face it. You are cuddled up with yourself. Even if I overlook that you are all mares, you were supposed to be elements of friendship. This doesn't look like a friendship.” Spike said while he was looking at us. “We'r still friends, but we realized somethin'.” Applejack said and yawned. “We just realized that we have special somepony near us whole time. But I think it doesn't really mess up our friendships.” Rarity said. She looked a lot messier then usually. Her coat and mane was full of dust from Applejack, but it looked like it didn't bother her. “And I like that we all find our super-special somepony without some conflicts and no pony is upset about it now.” Pinkie said with cheerful color of voice, “You know what this calls for? A party!” Everyone laughed for a while. We really didn't noticed that there was one, who really was upset. Spike left when we were laughing. “Where is Spike?” I asked everypony, when I noticed missing him after we stopped laughing. “I don't know, but I think I know why he left.” Pinkie said and looked at Rarity. “I know. I don't know what to do. I like him, like a friend. He is my close friend, but...” Her voice broke down. Applejack hugged her. “We know, but we must do something about that.” I said and started to think about that situation. “Well I guess it will be better if we pack everything and go back to town.” Rainbow said and kissed Pinkie on cheek. We agreed and packed everything. I pulled my cart back, because Spike looked like he left back to library. Fluttershy left us when we get to her house. Her creatures greets her warmly and she have to give them food. She said me that she will come to see me in the afternoon. I felt a little sad, when I had to left her. Everypony had something to do so we broke our group and left. When I arrived in library, I found Spike. He was sitting on stairs in really bad mood. “Are you ok?” I asked, but it was obvious that there is something bad. “No, I'm not. It's not good to find somepony you love with somepony else.” Spike sighed, “I mean I knew somehow that I cannot be with her, but still it hurts me.” “I think, you should talk to her. She felt bad for that. After all you still have friendship with her.” I said. “I don't know, Twilight. I think it will only hurt me more if I see her.” he said with head in his hands. “Talking often helps to accept something painful and she is not only one pony in all Equestria.” I said. “I know, but still it hurts. I think I ask Princess for some temporary job in Canterlot. Something around library.” he started thinking. “If you think it will help you recover, I will arrange it. I have never seen you growing, but you have grown, Spike.” I said. He smiled a little, but still he was upset. In Canterlot “Princess Cadence? Princess Celestia wanted to see you in her quarters.” royal guard was only delivering a message to pink alicorn. “Thank you, for message. You don't know why Princess wanted to see me, do you?” she asked. “No, Princess, but Princess Celestia said it's urgent.” royal guard said and left. Cadence came to Celestia's quarters. Celestia didn't looked quite happy. “You have been quite irresponsible in the evening yesterday.” Celestia said when she saw Cadence. “I...I know.” Cadence dropped her head, “I don't know why it is happening.” “I know it was not harmful spell, but still you should be more careful with that. I think, you affected the elements of harmony.” Celestia said and pointed to five necklaces and one tiara. Gems on them was glowing with energy, “I felt difference shortly after your spell and brought them here to study them. I came to conclusion. You helped them to find their special somepony, but after while of examination, I realized that elements are now coupled and they share the similar energies. Honesty with Generosity, Laughter with Loyalty and Kindness with Magic. Do you realize, what does it means?” Cadence was shocked. She knew exactly, what is meaning of this, “I...I can't believe it. That was only supporting spell. They must had their feelings before.” “I knew it was, so I'm not angry. I only wanted to show you this, because it was your work. And it was only matter of time after all. They started to look like they have nothing more to learn about friendship and I think this will make some problems to solve.” Celestia said. “Aren't they a bit young to start with magic of love? I know, that no pony is too young or old to start with loving somepony, but...” Cadence said, but cannot finish it. “No, no, Cadence. I'm not going to reveal them that kind of magic now. I cannot hide it from them forever, but I wanted them to at least get used to their new relationships.”Celestia interrupted Cadence. “Oh...I see. Then everything is fine now...may be better. We will see. And I have something to learn too.” Cadence said and Celestia agreed. Back in Ponyville Spike left to talk with Rarity and I started to unpack and clean up everything from cart. I cannot resist of smelling blanket, which was for Fluttershy. What I smelled had given me a smile, because it remembered me last night. It have been most beautiful night in my life. After cleaning I started writing the letter to Princess. “Ow...hello, Spike. How...how are you?” Rarity asked with a bit of worries. “I think that you know. Twilight have given me advise to speak to you about us. All I want to say is that I'm not angry, I don't hate you for this. I'm just sad, because it hurt me inside. Are we still friends?” Spike said and looked at Rarity. “Of course we are friends. You are great friend, Spike. I was so worried about that you will hate me. Thank you.” Rarity said and smiled. “I'm glad you are happy. Somehow I knew that this will happen, but I didn't know when or where.” Spike said looking to the ground, “I think, I'll go back to library. Bye, Rarity.” “Bye, Spike. I hope you will get well soon.” Rarity said, before Spike closed door after him. “Even if he looks like a baby, he has now grown. A lot.” Rarity said quietly to herself. I was unable to write down what I wanted to say to Princess. It was so complicated. I surely learned something, but is it really friendship? I didn't know. Everything, what I have written yet was bad in some way. I think it's time to call others to make that letter. I thought when I saw that pile of crumpled papers with imperfect letters. I will just wait for Spike and then I go and invite them. After that decision, I started to look for some books. I didn't know what I wanted so I was just looking for some interesting title. With a little weird feeling, I found a book about pegasus wings and their anatomy. It was a thin book and I started to read it immediately. There was a short chapter about their biology and much larger chapter about how to keep them in good condition. I haven't noticed that Spike was back so I read that book till end. It was really quick reading, because there was many and many pictures. I knew for what I'm looking. I found it on a few last pages. Small chapter about weak and sensitive spots on wings. I read that chapter with smile. She will be surprised in a good way. “Ow...you are back? Sorry I didn't noticed you, I was reading that book. How was it with Rarity?” I asked, when I found out that Spike had returned. “It was fine. Thank you, Twilight. I think it really helped me a bit. What are you going to do for the rest of the day?” Spike asked. “I'm unable to come up with something to write to the Princess, so I wanted to invite all girls at evening to think about that together.” I said. “Would you mind if I won't attend?” Spike asked. “No. If you don't want to be here, I will not hold you. I think I can write it down. But I will need you to send it.” I said. “Fine. I will try to attend, but I don't know if I can.” Spike said. “Well then. I'm off. If Fluttershy come, say her that I will be here in a few minutes. Bye, my number one assistant.” I said and left him alone in library. I missed dinner, when I was reading so I asked for an apple, when I was delivering my message to Applejack. It looked like everypony have some plan for afternoon, but I was able to caught up with them and they agreed. A moment after I returned back to library, Fluttershy came. We quickly kissed each other as a greetings and then I realized that I didn't figure out what to do. “Oh, I'm sorry. I've been reading a book and I forgot to make some plan for us, but I invited others to come in the evening, because I wanted to write about us all to the Princess and I failed to come up with something.” I apologized to her. “It's fine. We can think of something now. Everything what we will do together will be fine.” she said softly, with smile. I kissed her again. We agreed with a going for a walk and then return to library and cook something together. We walked slowly, talking about ourselves. She talked about her childhood in clouds and I talked about my childhood in Canterlot. It wasn't sometimes easy for her, but when she cannot talk, I calmed her down. She had not easy childhood and she was decided to tell it to me. When I said her that, she didn't need to say me all that things if she didn't want, she replied that she want me to know it since I'm her special pony. When we returned back to library, Spike was reading some story book. I grabbed a cook book and we started to look for some recipe, which would look delicious. She snuggled up to me while we looked into book. After a while I realized that she really wanted some snuggling. “Don't worry to say it, please. I like it too.” I whispered her to her ear, when we laid in my bed in library. She only nodded and then she cuddled up to me. She was smiling with blush on her cheeks. We both relaxed together. The rest of the day was away faster then we would wished. We greeted our friends. Obviously they came in couples. We sat in the middle of library and started to think. Spike was near and he looked good. “So you are saying, you have problem with writing a letter?” Rainbow Dash asked. She was sitting next to Pinkie cowering Pinkie with her wing. “Actually I really don't know what to write. Everything I was able to come up was uncompleted or told too much. I think Princess shouldn't read about how great is kissing or something like this.” I said. “Why not? It's true.” Pinkie said and giggled. “I think Princess already know this and after all I cannot speak for you all. I don't know how you feel about that.” I said. “I think, we all feel the same, sugarcube.” Applejack said. “So you think we can start? I want you all to help me write that letter, because after all it's something we all are experiencing right now.” I said. “Fine, so official opening...” Rarity started. Dear Princess Celestia. We are writing you, because we discovered that friendship is unlimited and there is plenty of space for everypony. While friendship is still great think and it's what is holding us together, there is much deeper feeling, which is reserved for only one pony. Last night we were outside for night picnic and we discovered love. It's feeling, which is much deeper and much more wonderful. It's also much more dangerous. Even if friendship is not that deep, we like to do much more things for our friends and we like to make them happy. We can go for our friends to the end of the world without hesitation and stand up for them. We are also not so upset if we don't see our friends every day. We are fine if we know that our friends are safe. If we love somepony, we are upset when we don't see our love for a while. We all can imagine that love can hurt really badly. We were hurt sometimes in friendship, but we all hope that we won't hurt ourselves with love, because it's simply greater force then friendship. We also realized that this feeling was inside us from different events. Still we don't know why our feeling for our special somepony increased that night that much that we in fact realized it. All we know for sure is that it haven't been caused by that place. Do you have any idea, our highness? Then she left me alone in library. I started reading some book about magic barriers. It was one of the oldest book in the library. After some pages, I started to feel tired so I took a quick bath. I was finishing a chapter, when I heard soft knocking. It was Fluttershy. I felt much happier, when I saw her again. I let her inside and returned back to book. She only laid next to me and dropped her head on my back. She quickly fell asleep. After I read another chapter, I carefully taken her by my magic and took her to my bed and covered her with blanket. She was lighter then I thought. It must have been that she is pegasus and she is allowed to fly or stand on clouds. I laid next to her and crawled under blanket too. I didn't even woke her up. I snuggled up to her. I quickly fell asleep too with her scent lightly tickling me in my nose. She must have been really tired. I have woken up earlier then she. I sneaked out from her to prepare some breakfast. I took her breakfast to bed and woke her up with gentle poke with my nose. “Wow, Twilight. You've made me breakfast in bed. Thanks.” she said with a blush on her cheeks when she have woken up. “It's nothing, really.” I said quietly and kissed her and then she started to eat her breakfast. “Sorry I have to leave so fast. My critters are used to have breakfast earlier so I don't want to startle them with not being there. I'll come when I will take care of them all, see you later.” she said and left after she finished eating. I started to have thoughts about relocating myself to her house. I was working in library, but I should be able to move opening hour to later. There is no need to hurry. I said to myself and buried that thoughts deep inside my mind. Finally Spike has woken up. “Morning, Spike.” I greeted him, “Any letter from Princess?” “Morning, Twi. From Princess? Nothing have came yet.” Spike answered. “That's strange. Never mind, she maybe don't know what to say.” I said rather for myself. But some doubt inside me started to build pressure inside my mind. It shouldn't be so hard to answer that letter. Am I right about that our feelings for each other are right? What if Princess disagree with me? She can banish all of us for taking our friendship too far. That wouldn't be that bad, but what if she banishes us sending us each on different place? She have never ignored my letter. What if she decide not to be my mentor any more? I started pacing around library. “What's happening? Is there something wrong?” Spike asked me. He must have noticed, because that quick clapping of hooves should be annoying especially in quiet library. “No...really...nothing. I'm...just...nervous.” I managed to say. “Is it about that letter?” Spike asked. “Yes.” I said while I was still pacing around library. Walking didn't seem to be helping. “You should really stop being worried about. She may have some of her royal duties.” Spike said. “What if she didn't forgive me!” I yelled question, which was currently in my mind. “What have you done something bad?” Spike asked with calm. His calm was frustrating and she obviously wasn't following my mind. I saw that situation hopeless. “AAAARRH!” I growled desperately and sprinted out. When I opened eyes, I was out of Ponyville. I think, that you are more fitting for what I'm going to present you. But you should read the letter first.” Princess Celestia said and passed the letter to Cadance. “I don't know what to say. I'm happy for them. What are you going to present me?” Cadance asked after she read that letter. Princess Celestia started to explain her plan.
