During The First Era of Harmony, Equestria is at the peak of its glory under the rule of the royal sisters Celestia and Luna. Canterlot is a centre of harmony, learning and culture, but not all of Equestria shares the same fate.
On the borders dark creatures lurk, remnants of the rule of Discord, behind the borders even mightier foes await their time as evil plots slowly unwind.

At these unsure times a young Earth pony, Ember Coal, is unwillingly dragged from a safe home to the fray of threats that surround Equestria. In his path to find harmony, knowledge and recognition, he travels the land.

This story encompasses the story of Ember Coal and his associates as they travel the land in search of answers, harmony and recognition.
