I wake up from my bed, yawning and looking into the mirror. No Cutiemark, just the same old filly, with a light brown coat and shaggy purple mane. I look around my room to see if I need anything and then I see my calendar, June 4th, the last day of school. I got a big smile on my face and ran down stairs. I see my mom, Baked Goods, a white coat and pink mane mare, making some Oats N' Bits cereal for my sisters, Golden Note, a light gray coat and braided up black mane filly, and Treble Heart, a olive coat with long dark red hair mane. We all sat down eating our cereal, not really talking. We were all ready for Summer, for each of us had different plans, Treble was going to Canterlot to talk a summer class to be a nurse and Golden was to young to go so she was staying with our mom and take music lessons. As for me, I was going to help our my aunt and uncle, that Cakes at Sugar Cube Corner. We all hurried to get done with breakfast and when to school.
`I made to to school almost crashing into a tree. I walked into Miss Kindly's class. I sat down next to my best friends, Electro Sword, an Earth pony with an orange coat and spiked up blue mane with yellow highlights, and Redstone, a Unicorn with dark gray coat and buzz cut yellow mane with red lines. As Miss Kindly was teaching the class about the up coming years for school, we started talking.
"Hey Electro and Red, what is the first thing we should do this summer," I whispered to them.
"I'm not sure about you but I'm going to try talking to Rarity over there after school," said Redstone
"Please, you don't even have a chance with her," said Electro, "Cupcake has more of a chance with her then you."
"I'm not sure if I should take offence to that but anyways, I was thinking we should go over to my house to talk about our summer plans and then go.." I said as I saw Miss Kindly staring me down.
"May I continue with the lesson Mr.Glider, I would like to finish before the school day is over"
"Yes Miss Kindly, I'm sorry"
Miss Kindly continued her lesson about the plans for next school year and all that stuff but I wasn't listening. I started drifting off into a daydream about the summer. I imaged of baking with aunt Cupcake and playing games with Electro and Redstone. As day dreaming, I accidentally fell out of my chair. I looked around the room as everyone stared at me. As Miss Kindly was about to start yelling at me, the school bell rang. Saved by the bell, I thought as I started flying at the door. I landed next to a tree that I almost crashed into, I saw Redstone and Electro laughing walking to me.
"Laugh it up guys, but you guys are forgetting something" I said
"What?" asked Electro as he was wiping a tear from his muzzle.
"SUMMER IS HERE!" I yelled out and started running all over "Come on guys, the summer is young." We ran all over town until the Sun was setting and we when to my house.
