Cloudsby Cloud WingChaptersIIIIIIIVVIWeightless... ...Cold... ...And falling... -=Flashback=- "Cloudwing!" Somepony yelled, "What are you doing!?" Cloudwing opened his eyes in time to see Rainbow Dash staring at him as he fell. "Why is the the ground coming at me?" he thought. With a sudden jolt, he realized that the ground wasn't coming twards him, he was falling! Trying to shake off his exhaustion, he flapped his wings and tried to pull up. Unfortunately, he was still so exhausted from last night that his wings beat sluggishly. "No, not now!", he thought. "Not after everything last night!" Panic rose in his throat. He was only mere meters from the ground. -=END OF FLASHBACK=- Cloudwing had felt many types of pain but nothing prepared him for what he felt now. He couldn't flap his left wing and his neck felt like molten lava. He tried to open his eyes but when it felt like he had, all he could see was darkness. Sitting there in unbearable pain he thought of everything he'd done. He'd never told Rainbow how he felt about her, mainly because he knew she'd never like him due to his lazy nature. After what felt like an eternity, he felt somepony touching his muzzle. For a moment, he was elated, glad he wasn't dead and stuck in an eternity of pain. Once whatever was on his face was removed, he took in his surroundings. "Uh, hey Cloud." said a familiar voice from his left. Attempting to turn and look who was speaking, he managed to knock his left wing out of the sling it was in and lay on top of it. He moaned in pain but pushed through until he could see... "Rainbow?" Cloudwing was astonished. Rainbow Dash never really seemed to care for him other than when he was training with the other pegai. (yes that is the plural of pegasus.) "I noticed that you fell asleep on one of the clouds again." "Oh, uh yeah. Rough night last night." I lied. "Oh really." she said. She seemed to be able to know when I was lying. "So uh, how come only my neck and left wing are in pain rather than my whole body. I'm pretty sure there's no way I could've survived that fall." "Scootaloo came by and noticed so she tried to save you but only managed to change the direction of your fall. Luckily you survived with just a broken wing and sprained neck." "Visiting hours are over. Come by again tomorrow." said a voice from the doorway. I looked over and noticed that a nurse had stopped at my room. "Oh uh, I guess I should get going. Get well soon Cloud." Was it my imagination or did it look like she was blushing. I was about to push it aside when her face showed a malovent expression but was gone before I could blink... I hope you guys liked chapter one of my first creepypasta. I know it may be a little lame with as little dialogue but there will be more. Remember to vote and comment. There will be more plot twists soon to. IF YOU HATE CLIFFHANGERS, LEAVE A VOTE AND A COMMENT! UPDATE NEXT WEEK! KEEP AN EYE OUT! II-=Emeraldwings POV=- As she left the hospital, she couldn't contain her excitement. "Cloudwing's permanently disabled! Now I can have my way with him!" -=20 minutes earlier=- -=Cloudwings POV=- After Rainbow left, the lights were turned out. "That flash of malice shouldn't belong on her face. Maybe I'm just imagining it but..." His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. A second later, the door opened and in came a nurse. "Hello." she said with a kindly voice. "I'm here to check up on you. How're you feeling?" "Not too bad. My neck and wing are the only things that really hurt." "Oh don't worry about your neck, it's just a sprain. Your wing on the other hoof is broken and will never fully mend, meaning you'll never be able to fly again. I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you." her face looked genuinely sorry. "Oh, That's okay. I've never been one to fly much..." my voice trailed off. "Is something that matter?" "No, I'm good." I lied. Luckily she wasn't as good as Rainbow at seeing through my lies. "In about a week you'll be able to leave. Well need to wrap your wing in a cast though." she said as she handed my a clipboard with a peice of paper on it. "Please do fill that out. It's needed for any prescriptions we may need to give you." I looked at all the questions on it. The ones that really caught my eye were questions #11 and #12. Number eleven had 2 check boxes, one labeled yes and the other no. The question was "Do you have any mental disabilities or disorders?" I already knew that I'd have to check "yes" but question 12 really bothered me. It asked to list any mental disabilities or disorders. "For question 12, do I need to specify them?" I asked. "Of course. We don't want you to get a prescription that might make your metal disorders worse." she replied. I decided to write down them in fear of going more insane. I wrote down that I had OCD and mild schizophrenia. I preferred not to talk about them incase people thought I might go all psycho on them. I finished filling it out and handed it back to the nurse. "Thank you." she said as she walked out the door. -=9 Days later=- Finally I got to leave that room. It was really boring but Rainbow did visit every said, so that made up for it. I was about to head on over to my house when I noticed an emerald-green mare. She looked like she was going to visit somepony at the hospital bit when she saw me she turned back and left. -=Emeraldwings POV=- "He's out...." she thought. "....I hope he doesn't know...." ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER! WHAT AM I GOING TO DOOOOO!? I know I said I'd upload next week but I thought of what to add. Don't worry, I'll still add in another chapter next week. Also, shout out to Emeraldolphine for letting me use her character Emeraldwing. For anyone wanting to know, this takes place before her books. CHAPTER 3 WILL BE LONGER! VOTE, VOTE, VOTE, COMMENT CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS, AND VOTE. BYE! -Inazuma III-=Emeraldwings POV=- After running into Cloudwing outside of the hospital, Emerald hurried home so she could be prepared for that night: The night that she kills Cloudwing. "Hi Emerald! What's the hurry?" She turned to see Twilight walking behind her. She quickly thought of something to say. "I've got some plans for tonight. I'm going to ask Cloudwing to come over to my place." "That's nice. Sounds like you've got a thing for him." she teased. "If only she knew..." Emerald thought to herself as she left Twilight, her smile cruel and twisted. Once in "her" house, she ran to her kitchen where she had a cupcake that she asked Pinkie to make earlier. -=Cloudwings POV=- After Leaving the hospital, Cloudwing went to his house on the outskirts of Poneyville. Once there, he lied down on his chair to take a nap. DING DONG With a jolt, he woke up and fell off the chair. "Ugh! That hurt" DING DONG "Coming! One second!" he yelled. He walked over to his door and looked through the eye hole. He saw a green pegasus standing there. He recognized her but couldn't remember where... When he opened the door, she looked up. "Can I help you?" he asked. Normally ponies never came by his house. "Oh, hi! My name's Emeralc. I was wondering if you wanted to hangout. I saw you leaving the hospital today." That's right! She was the mare that was in front of the hospital that left when she saw him. "Ummmm." he said dumbfounded. Not the best reaction. "Oh, I guess now's not a good time. I mean, you've just met me! I guess I'll be on my way." she giggled. She turned around and started to leave. "Wait!" he said without thinking. She looked back at him. " What is it?" she asked. "I guess we can talk. I've nothing better to do." he replied. "When's a good time and where?" "I was thinking maybe here and now." she said seductively. "OK, one second. Let me go grab something." He ran back into his house to go grab a jar of peanut butter. He came back outside but didn't see Emerald anywhere. THUMP! Cloudwing turned around in time to see a cruel, evil green mare hit him in the face with a frying pan. Then... ...NOTHING -=Cloudwings POV=- "W- where am I?" Cloudwing said. His head flared with pain where the frying pan had hit him. He noticed a cart full of sharp objects. "Cloudwing?" asked a familiar voice to his left. "Is that you?" "Rainbow? Where are we?" he asked. "I don't know. I was attacked by a green pegasus with bat wings and snake eyes." she responded. Cloudwing tries to look over to his left to make sure Rainbow Dash was okay. He inhaled sharply. Her whole body was covered in cuts and bruises. She looked like she went through an airplanes engine. He noticed that her hoofs had been shackled to a board and realized so had his. "Rainbow, do you know where we are?" he asked her. "No." she said deathly calm. He took a shaky breath "Did you catch the name of who kidnapped you?" "Yeah. She said her name was Emeraldwing. She said she was going to set me up on a date with you." she stopped, blushing. He didn't know what to say. He couldn't believe Rainbow Dash liked him as well. His mind was completely melted. "Wait, so you like me?" he asked. "Too late to say that I don't right." she looked ashamed. "Well, how about that. Turns out, you said the greatest thing to my ears." he said lightly. She looked at him with confusion and joy in her eyes. "I can't believe it! You share the same feelings as me!" she looked as if she was about to cry with joy. The her look turned deathly cruel. Her stomach started to bulge as if there was a spike under it. "Ha ha ha ha haaaaa!" she laughed evilly. "Now you shall die!" "Rainbow?" "Foolish Cloudwing! Rainbow Dash has been dead for a long time! You fell in love with a corpse. Do you know who I am?" He recognized that voice. "Emeraldwing..." "So you're not as dumb as you seem, eh?" The only thing that kept him from a panic attack was that she was also bound. His hopes shattered when they opened to release her. She walked over to him still looking like Rainbow. That was the cruelest thing ever. Seeing the mare he loved looking like she was going to kill him. "What are you going to do to me?" he asked trying not to sound scared. Unfortunately, his voice wavered. "I knew you liked my former boss but she'd never love you back. So I came up with the idea to pretend that I was her and get close enough to kill you!" she responded coldly. "H- how are you able to look so much like her though?" he said. "I'm half changling." she said bluntly. "Which reminds me." He skin started to become pale. Other started to crack and peel off. It ripped completely along the spine as if it was a banana. Green liquid started to ooze out slowly. It fell to the floor with a plop that made his stomach feel like revolting everything he ever ate. Before him stood an emerald green pegasus but her wings weren't made of feathers. They were leathery like bat wings but she wasn't a bat pony like Fluttershy was when Twilight's spell backfired. Her eyes were like a serpent's. Her pupils were slits of darkness surrounded by disgusting, yellow irises. He was paralyzed. His mind was still trying to cope with the fact that Rainbow Dash was dead. When Emerald transformed, his mind practically died. She stepped forward on the still oozing skin-like thing that looked like Rainbow making a squishing sound. It instantly burst into a green flame that consumed it but nothing else. The sound of her hoof on it was still in his mind replating it all again. His stomach finally have up and sent a wave of stomach acid through his throat. Sadly, he was on his back so the majority stayed in his mouth while some leaked out sliding down his face. It tried to go back into his throat but Emerald flipped the platform so that it would leave his mouth. "Now why do you want to die before the fun can begin?" she said mockingly. She flipped the platform so he was on his back again. She grasped a sharp knife from the cart and walked over to him. -=Cloudwings POV=- Emeraldwing stalked closer gripping the knife. Her eyes filled with evil and malice. She looked down at him. "Now, what should go first..." her voice trailed off and her eyes wondered down my body. They stopped below my waist. I gulped. "Please no. Oh Celestia, please no!" I thought but didn't dare say aloud. "Ha ha ha haaaa! No, I think I'll take your ear instead." she said. Terror pulsed through me. My mind raced with many questions. "Why did she want to make me suffer? How in the hay is she half changling? Where's Rainbow Dash?" "Why me? Like why are you doing this to me?" I asked trying to stall. She stopped. Her expression became gaurded. "Since you'll die anyways, I'll tell you. Ever heard of the Rainbow Factory? Thats where I worked. Rainbow Dash was my boss." she stated. I knew about the Rainbow Factory. It was built to grind pagai into rainbows and was shut down for it. I hadn't known Rainbow worked there. Why would she be the boss? -=FLASHBACK=- It was a dark, dreary day. Rain was pounding the earth. Rainbow Dash had gone missing a few days ago. Cloudwing stopped at the Cloudsdale Police Department. He took a deep breath. He walked in. "Hello," a kindly voice regarded him. "What brings you here?" It was the receptionist behind the counter. "I've come to report a missing pony. She's been gone for a few days now without letting anyone know anything." he said. She reached down and pulled out a clipboard with a sheet of paper on it. "Fill out this form, here." she picked up a pen and handed it to him. He took the form and looked over all the questions. ●○●MISSING PONY FORM●○● All questions with a *symbol MUST be answered. *1) Who is missing? ______________ *2) Are you related? ______________ *3)How old were they when they disappeared? ______________ 4) Where did they work? ______________ *5) When were they born? ______________ 6) What is your relationship with this pony? ______________ *7) When did they go missing? ______________ He filled out the form and handed it back to the receptionist. "Thank you." she said kindly. Cloudwing left and went home. -=END OF FLASHBACK=- Cloudwing was still puzzled. The Rainbow Factory was shut down a few weeks later when they got a lead on what might have happened to Rainbow. "So, why are you mad at me?" he asked trying to make it seem like he wasn't the one who got it shut down. "Because I found out that a gray stallion with a yellow mane sent in a missing pony report saying Rainbow Dash was missing. It was only a matter of time until I found out your name." she said. "Now, where were we..." her smile cold and unforgiving. She moved closer with knife in hand. Cloudwing struggled again to try and break free but no dice. She lowered the knife to his ear and slowly pierced it. He screamed in pain. She slowly sawed halfway through it. She then removed the knife and picked up a pair of gloves to put on. She grabbed his halfway cut off ear and ripped it off. He screamed in agony again. His vision blurred. Emerald set down his now severed ear and took of her gloves replacing them with oven mitts. She disappeared into the shadows for a few minutes and reappeared with a tray of hot coals. The heat radiating from them was enough to give you a sun burn. She picked one up and set it on his left wing. Heat seared his injured wing. He writhed in agony. She picked up another and placed it on his right wing continuing the process until there weren't any coals left. By the time she finished, he couldn't feel anything but pain. His whole body was sweating and his wings felt so cold that he thought his senses were going into overload. His vision started to fade. All his strength had left his body. The last thing he saw before he lost consciousness was a maniacal grin. IV-=Cloudwings POV=- He was in a dimly lit room. He could tell he was standing, so he didn't think he was still tied down. He tried to look around but his neck wouldn't obey. He could feel something on his back and something else on his neck. His mane also felt longer and didn't feel like it was sticking up. He heard a noise of struggling somewhere ahead of him. Involuntarily, his hooves started to move twards it. "Goodie, you're awake! Now we can get started." his voice sounded much higher than normal. Almost like... "Pinkie. W - what's going on? I can't move!" the voice was that of Rainbows. He saw that she was tied down similarly as he had been. But why'd she call him "Pinkie"? "Well, duh, that's because you're tied down!" he realized that his voice was Pinkie's. "I didn't think you'd need to be told that!" "But why? What's happening? I thought you said I was going to help make cupcakes." Her voice sounding a little worried. "You are helping. You see, I ran out of the special ingredient and I need you to get more." For reasons he didn't know, he seemed to look and sound like the pink, party pony. "Special ingredient?" Dash was now breathing heavily and looked like she was starting to panic. "What special ingredient?" He couldn't help it, but he giggled at that even though it wasn't funny. "You, silly!" What he assumed to be Pinkie's voice responded. Dash's eyes widened, and her face contorted in fear. Then she started to laugh and said, in a voice bordering on hysteria, "Woo, you really got me there, Pinkie Pie. I mean, tricking me into thinking I'm gonna get made into a cupcake? I gotta tell you, this the best prank yet. You win, you're the best." He giggled some more. "Aw, thanks, Dashie. But I haven't done any pranks today, so I can't accept your praise." "Pinkie, come on, this isn't funny." Rainbow said whilst struggling. Cloudwing wanted to help her really bad. He couldn't stand seeing Rainbow looking the way she did right now. Once again, without his consent, his mouth started talking in the voice of Pinkie's. Then why were you laughing?" He saw pink hooves whip the cover from a cart sitting nearby revealing a multitude of sharp, dangerous objects. Rainbow's eyes widened in terror. Rainbow's breathing quickened. He could hear it as well as see her chest rise and fall faster. "You can't do this, Pinkie." Her eyes were full of desperation, "I'm your friend." "I know you are and that's why I'm so happy that I've got you here. We get to share your last moments together, just you and me." His body moved against his will and started skipping. At this point, he practically gave up trying to control his body knowing it was all on vain. "But, the other ponies will wonder where I am. When the clouds pile up, they'll come looking for me and then you'll get found out," Rainbow cried in desperation. "Oh, Dash," He said. "Don't worry, there are plenty of pegasus ponies to take care of a few clouds. And besides, no one will find out. I mean, how long do you think I've been doing this?" At that, the lights turned on and instantly, Cloudwing was wishing they were once again shrouded in darkness. Coloured streamers of entrails hung from the ceiling. Chairs and tables made of bones, 4 foals heads were there wearing party hats that seemed to be made of their own skin. The whole place appeared to be a party designed by a psychopath. Cloudwing's stomach felt like revolting and high-tailing out of there. "Oh no." Rainbow looked around as much as possible and had an expression of horror and disgust on her face. Rainbow returned her gaze at him and reeled in horror and Cloudwing didn't know why. Maybe due to the fact that he looked like Pinkie, a crazed lunatic who murdered all these innocent ponys. "Like it?" he asked, "I made it myself." Okay, not due to the fact that he looked like Pinkie though that could be a contributing factor... In an instant, Cloudwing figured out what it could be. He just realized that there seemed to be a little extra pressure on his body as if he was wearing something. "Pinkie please, I'm sorry if I did anything to you. I didn't mean it. Please let me go. I promise I won't tell anypony." Her voice was full of pleading and fright. He didn't blame her. "Oh, Dash, you didn't do anything. It's just that your number came up and, well, I don't make rules. We can't turn back now." Rainbow started crying. It hurt as if someone had stabbed him in the chest. He'd never seen Rainbow cry. Not even after turning down the Wonderbolts, her life-long dream. "Aww, don't be sad, Dash," he said. "Look, this'll cheer you up. I brought you a friend." Completely out of the blue, he pulled out a skull, one that looked al too much like a gryphon. Rainbow inhaled loudly, fear filling it. "Is... is that... is... that." "Hey, Dash, let's hang together. These ponies are lame-os. Dweebs dweebs dweebs," Pinkie mimicked. "I caught her right before she left town. Remember when I left the party for about twenty minutes? That wasn't enough time to play with her of course; I had to wait till after the party to do that. But boy am I glad I did. It was worth it for the flavor alone. Griffons taste like two animals at once, it's amazing. I know she didn't have a number like everyone else in Ponyville, but when was I gonna get another chance to try griffon? I probably should have asked where she came from so I could have gotten more, but I forgot. I'll tell you what though, she was quite the fighter. She lasted a long time, which was a lot of fun for me. I got the chance to play with somebody other than a pony and try new things. It's too bad she had such a meanie mouth. She said so much bad stuff I just had to take her tongue out. You know, bad language makes for bad feelings, Rainbow Dash." Rainbow fell silent except for her sobs. She continued to struggle against the bonds holding her down. "Well," he said with an air of finality, "that's enough reminiscing. It's time to begin." He picked up a scalpel and proceeded to Rainbow's left flank and lowered the scalpel an inch above her cutiemark and slowly cut a circle around it. Rainbow's screams of pain filled his ears till they were ringing. Suddenly, the room became darker but he had enough time to see the betrayal in Rainbow's eyes... ¤ ¤♢¤ ¤ The darkness let up around him and he found himself outside. It was raining and there were puddles everywhere. He knew where he was, but it made no sense. He was right in front of his house but it was like nothing was ever built there in the first place. The ground was covered in over-grown grass and had no rubble or anything indicating that a structure once sat here. He then remembered what he'd just seen. Pinkie, no, HE, killed Rainbow. Even though he knew it hadn't been him who truly killed her, it felt just like he was responsible for doing the deed. At that thought, his heart shattered. He broke down crying on the spot. He didn't care about anything else that might happen, he knew that he killed the one he loved... ○●○A Few Hours Later○●○ Cloudwing's sons started to fade. He wanted to cry more, until he was dead for all he cared. Sadly, his body ran out of excess liquids to get rid of. His eyes were dry and cracked. He looked up where his house was supposed to be. He had a few knives in it for cooking, but maybe he could use them for another use. The only issue, his house wasn't there. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a glint of gold. He looked to where he thought he saw it. It was a gold rapier. He couldn't stop himself. He crawled over to it and looked at the polished blade. "Why is this here?" he thought. It made no sense. Rapiers weren't in use for hundreds of years yet this one was perfectly clean, as if it was just made. He picked it up carefully. "Hi Cloudwing!" He turned to a high pitched voice behind him, pointing the sword at whoever was there. Scootalo's face turned to terror as she saw the point of the sword lowered to her neck. "Scootalo, you scared me! Why in Celestia's name are you out here?" he asked. Scootalo gulped. "I was going to try and get my Cutiemark if you'd not slit my throat." she said nervously. Cloudwing quickly pulled the sword away from the young filly. "Sorry..." he said, kind of embarrassed at his reaction. "That's okay." she said. "Hey, why don't you come with me? Maybe we can try swordsman ship as my special talent. You seem to be good at it yourself." "Huh?" that confused him. This was the first time he'd ever picked up a sword. "Your reaction time was impeccable, not to mention your form." Scootalo complimented. That surprised him. Since when did Scoots know anything about sword fighting? "Hey Cloudy!" a voice called from behind. He froze. He knew that voice by now. It was the same one that had gotten him pony-knapped and had tortured him. He whipped around with sword in hoof. Not knowing exactly where she was, he took a guess she was right behind him. With a sickening swoosh, an emerald green pegasus' head fell to the ground. That brought a smile to his lips. This thing had intentionally hurt him in any way she could. The he remembered, Scootalo was still there, behind him. Instantly, he turned, trying to find some justifiable reason for what he'd done. Scootalo was laughing. He reeled back, not sure what was going on. Then it struck, Scoots was hysterical. She just saw him kill a pony! Of course her minds not going to know what to do. All emotions would be jumbled up. As the laughter died down, Cloudwing prepared himself for what might come next. With a cruel smile, Scootalo looked up at him. "You killed Rainbow, Cloudwing! I can't believe my good luck. I always pretended to like her, but she always was too cocky." another fit of laughter. Cloudwing didn't know how to process that information. He didn't kill Rainbow Dash, he killed Emeraldwing. He turned and regretted it instantly. What he saw was worse than anything he'd ever seen. Rainbow was lying headless of the ground. He couldn't believe it. First he tortured Rainbow, now he flat out murdered her. He looked back at the young filly who was still laughing. Anger rose in his throat. This... this monster, was laughing at the fact he'd just killed somepony. He walked closer, rage filling his mind. He continued to get closer towards to insane little bitch. How could anypony be so cruel as to be filled with joy at another's death? He slashed out with his sword and cut off the foals right hoof. Shock spread across Scootalo's face before pain to over. He took another slash and cut down her left hoof, splitting it in half. He stabbed at her chest repetedly, not stopping until her whole body was covered in blood and riddled with holes. He took the sword, and with one last swing, decapitated the creature that was once a pony. Darkness then enveloped him once again... V-=Cloudwing's POV=- All that kept him company was the darkness around him. His vision was obscured so badly that he couldn't see his hooves if they were right in front of him. It felt like time was nonexistent. He could think for an eternity if he wanted to. Unfortunately, whenever he tried, the only thoughts that came to his mind were those of Rainbow. They were too painful... -=???'s POV=- He was sitting in a white room. It had one door that was locked from the outside. The walls were enchanted to keep other magics from escaping. He had one job and hoped he'd completed it successfully. Otherwise... His employer walked through the door, interrupting his thoughts. The green pegasus closed the door behind her and sat down. "I believe that your job is done." she stated bluntly. His ears perked up. He thought if he should ask if that means he can leave but decided against it. After all, he didn't want to be her next victim. She continued to speak, "Your unique ability is valuable so you may be of use to us later. As that is, you are free to live but you cannot leave for the time being." That brought his hopes down. He was hoping to be able to return to his family but this monster intended to keep him in custody. She seemed to noticed his sorrow, for her cold smile only grew. -=Emeraldwing's POV=- After leaving the room of her "associate", she went back to the basement. As she trekked through town, she noted how few ponies there were on outside today. "Hi Emerald!" a perky voice said from behind. She turned and saw it was Pinkie. As quickly as she could, she put on a convincing smile as the pink mare came to a stop. "Whatcha doin'?" Pinkie asked. "I'm just headed to the Everfree." she replied, trying to sound innocent. The pink mare stifled a giggle, "You're such a silly filly. Don't you know that the Everfree is dangerous?" she said, still having a smile on her face. "And?" she said quizzically, "It's not like you haven't been out there before." "Yes, but I had my friends with me at that time." Pinkie replied. "I'm not going out far, or alone. I've got Fluttershy with me." she stated bluntly. "Okie dokie loki!" she said happily, as she bounced away. Emerald turned back around with a look of disgust on her face. That pony was always too happy. It filled her with the desire to grab the party pony by the scruff, drag her into a dark alley, and wrap her hooves around her neck until the lack of oxygen made her pass out. Then she'd take the unconscious pony to the nearest river, and dump her. Instead, she just continued walking towards Fluttershy's cottage. -=Fluttershy's POV=- The timid pony was waiting on her 'friend', Emeraldwing, to come back. Knock knock knock She three raps on her door pulled her from thought. She got up and walked over to the door to open it. The pony standing there made her upset and relieved at the same time. "Um... hi Emerald. Would you care to... um... come inside for some tea? That is, if you don't mind... you don't have to if you don't want to..." The yellow mare said to the intimidating, green mare in front of her. "You know why I'm here, and you know it's not for tea. Just take me to the abandoned castle and you can continue with whatever you were doing in your shed when I came by earlier and interrupted." she replied harshly, making the timid pegasus cower. "O-okay..." she stammered and started off in the direction of the old, broken castle that she, Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Rainbow had discovered a while back. Speaking of Rainbow... She was interrupted as the castle came into view. Had she been that lost in thought? "He-here w-we are." she said, avoiding eye contact. She didn't know why the other pegasus did here, but really didn't want to. The green mare walked past her silently, an unnatural smirk on her face. As Fluttershy turned to leave, the other mare walked closer to the castle, seeming to have more of a spring in her step. "Hhhmm, I wonder why? It's almost like me when I head to my shed..." she thought as she continued walking. -=Cloudwing's POV=- ...those thoughts were too painful... ...He cried. He couldn't stop the flow of tears. Even in this mindscape that didn't exist, he could feel the tears stain his coat. -=Emeraldwing's POV=- She stared triumphantly at her handiwork. Cloudwing was one push away from insanity. And she intended to give that last shove herself... -=Cloudwing's POV=- The swell of emotions broke the barrier he had spent his life building. He'd always kept his emotions pent up behind a mental wall. Only once in a while would anger or sadness slip through. Nothing prepared him for what he felt now. All his memories and feelings burst forth: the good became sad and the sad became unbearable. Images of Rainbow filled his mind and he couldn't pull away from them, no matter the pain he felt. He saw himself the first time he met her. He saw her stare down at him with her with concern on her face when he crashed into the side of a cliff. He saw when they had spent time together laughing at both their fails after training. He saw the time he got sidetracked while flying and bumped into her, causing them both to tumble down a hill, ending up sprawled on top of her. It was just too much... -=Emeraldwing's POV=- (She and Cloudwing have too many moments of swapping between themselves in this chapter don't they? I swear, this isn't the last time it'll happen. :D) She picked up the hypodermic needle labeled "Adrenaline" and injected the light grey stallion chained up with it. He awoke with a startled gasp. "Good morning," she said mockingly. "Glad to see your alive. I'm a bit shocked though about what you did to Scootalo and Rainbow Dash. I would've thought you were better than that." He just stared in shock at her, thoughts were obviously running through his mind. They were soon replaced by realization, then into horror, and then into anger. "Oh don't look at me like that," she said putting on a fake pouty face. "It's not like everypony knows." Tears rimmed his eyes. She could see them, even in the dim light of the hidden basement in the old, musty castle. She turned her attention the the cart she kept there and inspected the sharp tools she could use. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Cloudwing not paying any attention. He seemed lost in depression. It was only reinforced since he hadn't said a thing yet. Or it could be dehydration... Either way, she didn't care. She decided on a cleaver with a few blood stains still on it. She moved behind him. His only reaction though was him hanging his head in defeat. "Just kill me already..." he whispered, just barely audible. That made her hesitate. He'd just given up. There was no fun giving them what they wanted. She was going to use the cleaver to cut into his skull but now knowing he wanted death, she decided to play a painful game of keep away. Instead, she lifted the cleaver over to his left. She brought it down hard on his injured wing, bringing a blood curdling scream of pain. She just smiled. She lifted the cleaver and set it next to his head. She inspected the severed wing. Memories flooded her mind of her time at the Rainbow Factory. None of the victims were awake when they were cut up. By that point, they were either dead or in a coma. She picked it up and grabbed a wooden board laying nearby. She went back to the cart to grab a few nails and a hammer. She then set the board down and positioned the severed wing on it. She then took a nail and carefully found a think part of the wing, and nailed it to the board. She did this in a couple more areas before taking the newly made plaque over to the wall to hang it up. Cloud just lay there, not caring about what she had just done. He didn't care how she basically just insulted him in the worst way possible. She frowned. He just sat there. Nothing else. Odd... "Well if I'm not going to get any reaction, he's no fun," She thought. "I guess I might as well kill him." She accented the stairs behind her. She decided to let his suffering prolong until tomarrow. As she made it to the top of the stairs and closed the secret door, she noticed a flicker of violet in the shrubbery. It was there for only a millisecond, so she just tossed it to the back of her mind. -=Twilight's POV=- Twilight was on her way to the old castle that the Royal Sisters lived in until they moved to Canterlot. She was about to enter the clearing it was in until she spotted a green mare walk into one of the walls. She knew it was a wall because there weren't any doors on that wall except for the one that she could see. She was confused. "Who is she? Why is she here? How did she go through that wall? She's a pegasus." The thoughts came to her mind. The scientific side of her brain told her to investigate. The logical side of her brain said it didn't matter. Somepony else found an interest in the castle, even if it was one she hadn't known existed. Like walls you could phase through. Yet her gut told her to not move. It told her to stay there and not do anything except wait. Something was just off about this all. She hated herself because that's what she went with. "Why am I just sitting here and waiting though? Normally I'd-" her thoughts were interrupted by a muffled scream of agony. It sent shivers down her spine. What really threw her off, though, was that it was a stallions scream, not a mares. Two thoughts came to mind instantly. Thought number one: The mare that went into the castle was a psychopath and was currently hurting another pony while she just sat out here, doing nothing. Thought number two: Somepony got hurt in there. That meant the mare she saw earlier could either be in there with a stallion alone, or there was another visitor that just got hurt. She was really hoping for the latter thought. Just then, the wall swung outward, as if it was on hinges like a door. "What a rediculous idea! Why would there be a secret door in an abandoned castle? Oh..." The stupidity of her thought hit her. The mare she'd seen walk into the wall before came out of the supposed opening. "That makes alot more sense than her just walking into a wall." She quickly ducked into the undergrowth to avoid being spotted. She sat there for about ten minutes before deciding to peek out again to see if the coast was clear. She didn't know why, but she decided to avoid confronting the mare or being confronted by her. She slowly made her way out of the bushes and made her way over to where she thought she saw the door. "Why am I snooping around? Normally I wouldn't do something like this. I can only recall one time I ever really did this and that was when my brother was getting married. I doubt it's a changling invasion. They could have easily done so right now." She slowly lofted her hoof and felt along the wall, trying to find where that door was. She found what felt like a handle expertly hidden in the brick work. She took her hoof away and concentrated on opening the door with her magic. Her horn glowed with a fuchsia aura and so did the door. I slid open almost silently. She saw steps leading down into darkness. She gulped and lit her horn. She started down the stairs and when she was on the 7th step, the door closed, causing her to jump and fall down the stairs. She blinked the blurriness out of her eyes. Even after that, it was still hard to see. She realized that her horn had gone out. She tried to concentrate on lighting it again, but her head hurt too much to do so. "Back so soon?" Asked a deep-ish voice from somewhere in front of her. It sounded strained as if it was in immense pain. "I didn't realize you wanted to kill me that bad." She just sat there, dumbfounded. Why would this pony think she was going to kill him? Then it dawned on her. That green mare from before had done something horrible to whoever was in here. What she didn't understand was why he seemed so calm. It seemed as if he didn't care anymore if he died. "Well?" The voice asked, snapping her out of hero thoughts. "Wh-why would I kill you? I-I don't even know you." She stammered. "Likely story, Emerald," he retorted hatefully. "This is just another way to trick me, isn't it? Trying to make me believe I'm being saved. Well guess what? I'm not falling for it." If she thought she was confused before, she was absolutely lost now. "Who's Emerald?" She asked. Nothing. Whoever else was in here didn't respond. She gathered her concentration now that her head wasn't throbbing so badly and managed to light her horn again to provide some light. What she saw made her want to extinguish it instantly. -=Cloudwing's POV=- The purple unicorn in front of him looked like she was about to puke. He didn't blame her. He was definitely bloody and one of his wings was cut off, not to mention his ear. But he was also surprised to see an unicorn. He didn't think that it was really another pony. The only reason he was convinced was because she was using magic and and he doubted Emerald would be able to use magic, even if she made herself look like a unicorn. Then again, who's to say she can't. Silence fell upon them and Cloud was kinda glad it had. Minutes passed. Sadly, the unicorn broke the silence. "How long have you been down here?" She asked. Frankly, he was surprised she hadn't tried to release him yet. Reluctantly, he responded. "I don't know. How long has Rainbow been missing?" He knew she had hung out with her friends after their flying lessons, and he knew this one but couldn't remember her name. "Well, she came by 3 days ago saying she had to go to Cloudsdale for a few weeks," She said like it was obvious. "Why?" He stared at her in disbelief. "That wasn't her. She's dead. What told you was a half changling." This time, it was her turn to to stare in disbelief. She quickly regained control over her self. "And how would you know?" "Well, for one, the half changling is the one who did this to me," he said, pausing for effect. He didn't know why. "And two, I killed Rainbow, twice..." And then the mare froze. Anger, disbelief, and curiosity fought for control over her. That was plain to see. Her face kept contorting into different emotions. Eventually her face went blank. He couldn't tell what she was thinking. "How could you have killed her twice?" That wasn't what he was expecting. Logically, he had no idea how. He just knew he had. "I don't know. I just recall it. Two different ways. One where I also killed Scootalo." "Scootalo's alive though. I saw her this morning." Then it dawned on him. It was all just dreams. He didn't actually kill Rainbow. "..." He didn't know what to say. He just felt stupid as a childish grin grew on his face. He couldn't hold it in any longer. He burst out laughing. The purple mare just stared in confusion. Eventually the fits of laughter died down, and he spoke. "You're right, that makes no sense. It was all just a nightmare." The pony didn't look completely convinced. "So, uh, could you maybe try and get me outa here?" He felt like he wanted to live. Only minutes before had he given up on life. She seemed to cautiously use her magic to remove to bonds holding him in place. He jumped up and lunged at the mare as soon as the last one was released. "Eip!" A startled squeal escaped the mare as he hugged her. He realized what he just did and let go almost instantly as horror crept into his face. "..." she just stared at him. "Sorry..." he muttered lightly. A sharp pain flared in his left back. "AAARRRGGG!" He screamed in agony. "Ar-are you okay?" She asked, snapping out of shock. She really was oblivious wasn't she? "Take a look behind you and you might know." He snarled in both pain and anger because of how she didn't seem to notice his missing wing. She looked behind her and slowly she realized what was hanging on the wall. She turned back to him and seemed to notice his missing wing and ear. "Who did this?" She demanded. "Like I said, the half changling." He said blatantly. "Not helping. I need a name or at least a description." "She's green, has snake eyes, and bat wings. That's all I've seen of her. Besides, a description isn't helpful if she can change appearance." "You're right. I can't believe I forgot about that." That was when his brain decided to black out. -=Twilight's POV=- She saw as the pegasus' eyes rolled up and he fell to the ground, muzzle first. She was shocked, to say the least. He didn't seem like he was going to pass out. For 5 minutes, 26 seconds, and 72 milliseconds passed before she regained control. She had no idea what to do other than take the stallion to her home. She couldn't take him to a hospital because that would look odd. Imagine taking a mutilated stallion in a hospital. There would definitely be some unwanted attention. So she took him in her magical grasp and laid him on her back. She then charged up a teleport spell. There was a bright flash of light, and a poof of smoke and she was standing in the Golden Oaks Library. It looked like it always did, except for one major detail: Pinkie Pie was standing in front of her, smiling. "Congratulations on saving Cloudwing from a mutant!" She yelled right into her ear. Twilight flinched, rubbing her ear. "Pinkie, you don't have to so lou- wait, what did you say?" "Oh, I said congratulations on saving Cloudwing from a mutant." "How... wait... what?" She was confused. Was the name of the pegasus on her back Cloudwing? And was the mutant Pinkie was referring to the half changling? "Well, yeah silly head! Of course the Emie is who the mutant is!" She just smiled. "Emie?" "Oh, that's the nickname I have for her. Her name is Emeraldwing." "Wait, how do you know this?" "That's simple, the author told me." Her smile was starting to become creepy... "Author? Like a writer?" "Yeah! He goes by many names, but the ones most people use are Alex and Xander." Twilight was confused. "Oh, don't forget to say "hi" to his awesome readers!" She gave up. "Just Pinkie being Pinkie..." "Okay, well I need to tend to his wounds, so could you just leave the library?" "Don't worry silly head, Cloud's fine. He won't die." And with that, she bounced out the door happily. "I will never know how her brain works..." she carried the pony who's name was supposedly Cloud up to the guest bedroom and placed him gently on the bed. She was slightly worried about what might happen if the mare who kidnapped him found out she had saved him and had him here. On the other hoof, she didn't really care. She might be just saved his life. She went to her room to lie down. It was only 4 PM but after what just happened, she was exausted. Then it struck her. Rainbow Dash, the mare she had a crush on, was dead...
IWeightless... ...Cold... ...And falling... III-=Emeraldwings POV=- After running into Cloudwing outside of the hospital, Emerald hurried home so she could be prepared for that night: The night that she kills Cloudwing.
