For reasons currently unknown, an apocalyptic event befalls upon Equestria. The ponies are now left scattered all in various places among the world. Several other species wiped out completely.

The changelings however, are left mostly unaffected while they roam the wastes. They first try to find a suitable location for their new "hive/colony" and a way to sustain themselves. They bring what little knowledge of technology they have from the old Equestria.

Once they find that they are the most numerous and advanced species on the planet however, they see an opportunity to dominate. So they turn to their queen. Can Chrysalis lead them to glory? Can she triumph over her obstacles? Can she build a civilization to stand the test of time?
