The tiny (three miles by five miles) European Duchy of Grand Equestria, located in the Alps between Switzerland and France, proudly retains a pre-industrial economy, dependent almost entirely on making Pinot Grand Equestria wine. However, a California winery makes a knockoff version, "Pinot Grand Equestrian", putting the country on the verge of bankruptcy.

The prime minister decides that their only course of action is to declare war on the United States. Expecting a quick and total defeat (since their standing army is tiny and equipped with bows and arrows), the country confidently expects to rebuild itself through the largesse that the United States bestows on all its vanquished enemies (as it did for Germany through the Marshall Plan at the end of World War II). With the counterfeit wine as a casus belli, they send a formal written declaration of war, but this is misplaced by the United States Department of State. Receiving no response, the Duchy is forced to muster some troops and hire a ship to stage an actual invasion.

Landing in New York City, almost completely deserted above ground because of a citywide disaster drill, the Duchy's invading "army" (composed of the Field Marshal Tully Bascomb, three men-at-arms, 20 longbowmen, the crown princess of Duchy of Grand Equestria Sunset Shimmer and her handmaidens Twilight Sparkles, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Fluttershy) wanders to a top secret government lab and unintentionally captures the "Quadium Bomb" (a prototype doomsday device that could destroy the world if triggered) and its maker, Dr. Kokintz, an absent-minded professor who is working through the drill. This "Q-Bomb" has a theoretical explosive potential greater than all the nuclear weapons of the United States and the Soviet Union combined. The invaders from Fenwick are sighted by a civil defence squad and are immediately taken to be "men from Mars" when their chain mail is mistaken for reptilian skin.

“I can’t believe we invaded and they’re all underground for a drill,” Sunset said leading the party back to the docks passing the UN building. She’s holding the bomb and they left the doctor tied up in his lab.

“Yeah I wanted to fight some of the superheroes,” Rainbow Dash said who flaps her wings in frustration.

The Duchy of Grand Equestria has a large mutant population, which is about 90 percent being mutants. The Duchy had seen mutants as a blessing as they could use their powers to help in the farm work. Seeing how very few people have modern technology.

“Too bad we can’t stop to see Doctor Strange,” Twilight said with Rarity nodding in agreement.

Duchy of Grand Equestria is the only country that has a magic school which has been open for centuries.

“Hey look!” Pinkie Pie said pointing to the Avengers, X-Men, and other heroes appearing and surrounding the invasion force.

“They got the Q bomb!” Ironman shouted out on his inbuilt megaphone for all to hear.

“Protect the princess!” Applejack shouted as she and the others circled around Sunset who held the bomb.

The tense stand-off was stop as the metal gates of the Latveria embassy opens and standing there is Doctor Doom himself. He stares at the party from Equestria and steps aside.

“Enter,” Doom said which the invasion army did with him stopping Sunset as she enters. “The bomb Sunset.”

“Yes, father,” Sunset said handing him the bomb and shocking all the superheroes who were alerted to the Q bomb being stolen.

“Doom has a daughter?” Spider-Man asks as he and the others all look to Reed and the other Fantastic 4.

“I didn’t know,” Reed said as he looks to Doom.

“Celestia the exchange student from art class and has multiple colored hair,” Doom answers.

“Wait, you and her?” Sue asked.

“Mom said that dad was searching for magic books to save grandmother’s soul and she had the books he needed and one thing led to another,” Sunset explains not hiding how gross out she is talking about her parents sex life. “Let’s not talk about that.”

“The bomb Doom,” Captain America said.

“If you all didn’t want me to take it shouldn’t had been so easy to get,” Sunset said.

“So you took the bomb to give to your dad?” Spider-Man asks.

“No, I took the bomb as Duchy of Grand Equestria is at war with the United States, over our how our main export Pinot Grand Equestria wine is being knock out of the market by a California winery making a knockoff version, Pinot Grand Equestrian. Bankrupting my country,” Sunset said making all the superheroes stare at her.

“What?” Captain America asked while Ironman is calling shield asking if the United States is at war.

“We sent a declaration of war to your state department and when we didn’t get a reply I lead the invasion force,” Sunset said.

“Come daughter, I have to talk to your mother,” Doom said as he and Sunset walk together into the embassy with him still holding the bomb, with the superheroes unable to follow. (1)

“Another me spending a night with a lover and you were born from it,” Celestia said watching the screen as Celestia who is a magical ruler is speaking with Doom.

“The Mouse that Roared, crossover with Marvel. That’s a first,” Sunset said adding the world to the list of crossover worlds they have visited and it being the only one in that section.

“And your counterpart is just like her father,” Celestia said.

“And like you, in only taking action when she has no other choice,” Sunset said.

“The best and worst traits of both,” Celestia said sighing as even with all that, that Sunset and Celestia have a loving relationship, and a strain one with Doom.

1 - Doctor Doom being the leader of his own country does give him protection from the superheroes. Which no other villain I can think of has.
