The Rogue Changeling

The changeling woke up and looked around, trying to place where he was before he remembered the adoption. He smiled and jumped up, then ran to Derpy's room where she lay sleeping. He walked up to her and shook her foreleg a bit.

"Can I watch some more T.V., mom?" he asked.

"Sure..." said Derpy, not yet awake.

Love Bug ran to the television and started watching while Derpy got up and started making breakfast.

"Do you want some food, Love?" Derpy asked, smiling.

"Yes please! Thank you!" Love Bug exclaimed, watching cartoons obsessively.

Derpy came over and put a plate of pancakes in front of him and smiled. "It's Dinky's favorite, Love. "

Love Bug looked at it and cocked his head. "I've never eaten this... I eat love. Remember?"

"Oh yeah... Don't worry, I'll fix that!"

Derpy ran off to the kitchen and made some more pancakes, then brought them back and gave them to him.

"See, now they're hearts!" Derpy giggled and hugged Love. "Try them. Pleeeaaassse!"

Love went in to take a bite and nibbled on the pancake. His eyes widened before he took a big bite out and bit his tongue through the pancake. "Oww... Eating hurts."
