//-------------------------------------------------------// Equestria: The Dragon Child -by StormHaze- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// New world //-------------------------------------------------------// New world Guilt... that's all I felt.  It's been nearly a month since they passed and I still couldn't take it.  I still have nightmares of them... blaming me for their deaths.  I think they're right.  I was there, but I couldn't do anything but watch them get shot down.  I couldn't bare to see the blood pooling, so I left.  I left, hoping that it was just a nightmare in which I could escape, but no.  It happened and it was my fault in not stopping it, I was the hero, and I had the powers to stop them. I sat up in my bed in a cold sweat.  It was the same nightmare I've had for so many nights now.  I got up and wiped my brow, looking around my room I saw a simple setup.  A dresser on the back wall, a bed-side nightstand, a bed obviously, and door at the front side of the room.  I walked to my dresser and grabbed a black shirt and a pair of jeans.  I then walked out the door and to my bathroom.  The first thing I look at is my reflection.  I have somewhat pale skin, deep blue eyes, black hair, and a light blue dragon wing tattoo on my face just under my left eye. "*sigh* Another day of living like I am," I rub the bridge of my nose, "I'll get through today, but it won't be much longer until I go insane and he comes out." I shudder with a long forgotten memory that made me aware of it. I continued on with my daily routine until I go to the mail.  The people around me stared at me. "Of course, when somebody normal walks by they don't care, but when I walk by they stare.  Sometimes, I hate being the hero." I mutter to myself.  When I grab the mail I notice a brochure, I would usually throw it out, but I noticed it was from scientists.  This got me interested in what it was so I looked through it while walking back inside. Amazingly, this brochure detailed about an experiment that could get rid of my powers, and the test subject would get a lot of money afterwards.  I didn't care about the money I cared about what it would do.  If I got rid of my powers I would be normal and also rid of the monster that is inside of me.  Plus crime has been at an all time low, and the police have been complaining that I slow down so they at least get a couple of them.  Honestly I don't see any downsides to this.  Another plus would be getting rid of the thing that caused me so much guilt.  I had a small smile as I thought of this. "Guess I better call and schedule for it." I said walking towards the phone. "Hello, this is the Five Cross Labs your speaking to.  How may I help you?" "Hey, I was wondering when you're doing this experiment on the brochure?" "Which brochure?" "The one that can suck powers out of a person." "Oh, that one.  It starts around three, why do you ask?" "I want to be the test subject." "Okay, come by around three thirty so we can have everything ready for you." "Alright, see you there." I hang up. *** Alright, I'm a bit nervous, but that's normal, right?  I mean having your powers taken away doesn't hurt, should it?  I just stare at the building for a couple of minutes thinking those thoughts.  After a few more minutes to gather my courage I step in and was greeted with an abundance of noise.  Drills, bubbles, an explosion here and there, and hammers.  I thought this was a safe environment, but when science is involved I guess it's never safe. "You must be the test subject am I correct?" I look towards the voice and noticed a lady in a lab coat with a clipboard. "Yeah, so where's the testing site?" I ask. "Right this way." she turns away and walks through a door.  I hurry so I don't get lost in this building. We arrive and she turns back to me, "Alright, first we need to scan you for your powers.  We need to know which state of your body it is in so we don't have any accidents with pulling the wrong part." I nod while she pulls out a table from a device that looks like a CAT scan. I lay down on the table while it goes through the machine, scanning my body with this electric blue light.  After it stops humming I step off and look towards the scientist. "Incredible, it seems your powers are all on a spiritual level.  They're not connected on a physical plane.  Harold set the machine up with this data.  Now, don't worry we've run simulations about this so we know what to do."  she gives me a gray jacket with black edges and a fluffy interior.  I look at her quizzically and she says, "This is a special material that should protect your body from the residue power left behind." I nod in understanding and put it on. It fit comfortably, but I didn't feel like zipping it up so I left my inner shirt visible.  I look at her with a 'let's do this' face. "If you are ready please stand just inside of the conductor ring." I look at where she pointed.  My jaw dropped in amazement at the machine that would do the job.  It was gigantic, with symmetrical machines on either side and a humongous ring in the middle. I quickly recover and stand in the middle.  The scientist nodded to the control group and they started up the machine.  It hummed and the ring started to shift, then spin.  I wasn't affected because I stood on a small platform.  The faster the ring spun the louder it hummed until the noise was barely tolerable.  The air started to shimmer around me as I felt a tug on my body, though I didn't shift.  Little pinpricks of light came out of my pores and floated towards the outer edge of the ring making it glow a light blue, almost a teal.  Then something went wrong. The entity within me started to come out in a dark crimson red light.  This baffled the scientists, but it worried me.  The light wasn't floating like the rest it started to jerk around trying to get back to my body.  Doing this the scientists upped the power thinking there wasn't enough.  Then I didn't realize that this experiment was playing with the planes of reality, and upping the power was a bad idea.  The crimson light couldn't fight any more so it went willingly, but it started to drag me with it. My body felt like it was being torn apart wanting to stay in this plane of existence, but the entity didn't want to leave with out doing something bad.  When it started pulling the ring started to slow down and slowly turned the opposite direction.  The scientists seeing the pain on my face scrambled to stop the machine.  The consoles exploded with the overload of data, and they couldn't do a thing anymore.  As the ring continued to spin the opposite way the energy that was stolen from me found it's way back, but couldn't stop the ring.  Doing the exact opposite of what it should do the fabrics of reality itself started to tear and implode around me.  Parts were being sucked in and my body was disintegrating before my eyes as I held my hands to my face. I thought this was the end...but...I was happy about it.  I shed a tear.  If I was going to die then that means I would be able to see my family in some form of after life.  A spike of pain shot through my body as I felt most of my dissolved body go through the rift.  This didn't feel like death though and I felt him start to into a higher place in my mind.  He was starting to get free.  With the last of my willing conscience I took most of his power so he wouldn't hurt anyone badly or last as long as he would have if I wasn't already weakened.  Then everything went dark. *** It was another day in Equestria.  The sun was shining, the grass rolled in the gentle breeze, not a cloud in sight, Canterlot in  the distance, and finally the somewhat small town of Ponyville.  Everypony was bustling with their own business and continued on their way with content smiles.  That is, everypony except the one in Golden Oaks Library.  This mulberry unicorn mare with a dark violet mane was looking for something, but couldn't find it. "Spike!  Where's the Pony's guide to animal biology?" The unicorn asked, rather loudly. "Have you checked in the P section yet?  Even still why do you need it?" A young drake asked.  This drake was purple scaled with green frills and back spikes, with a green underbelly. "I'm helping Fluttershy with her animals today, so I'm going to need it as a reference." she explained looking through the 'P' section. "Oh." "Don't worry Spike I won't be gone long." She reassured him. "That's not what I'm worried about Twilight." he said. "What do you mean?" Twilight asked. "I don't really know I just have a weird feeling today." he looked confused. "Well, I'll take that into consideration- aha!  Found it." Twilight called to him.  lifting the book up in a sparkling magenta aura. "Now all I need is to go to Fluttershy's house." she smiled and turned towards the door after putting the book in her saddle bags, and opened the door. "Bye Twilight." "Bye Spike." she walked out the door closing it behind her.  Twilight looked up with a smile on her face which quickly faltered when she looked at the sky. Weird dark-grey clouds started to swirl into a cyclone that went up instead of down.  This wasn't scheduled by the pegasi, even if it was it shouldn't swirl like that.  Unbeknownst to her ponies from all over Equestria looked up at the phenomenon. 'BOOM' What sounded like an explosion resonated through the area scaring a lot of ponies, making them go into a panic when they saw the accompanying fireball that shot towards Fluttershy's house.  Twilight, fearing for her friend, galloped towards the location only to see the falling object overshoot the home and into the Everfree forest creating a trench. *** "Fluttershy!  Fluttershy, are you alright!" I started knocking frantically on the door hoping she was. "Twilight!  What the hay was that?!" a raspy tomboyish voice came from behind me. "I don't know Rainbow Dash, but it's a good thing you're here.  I need you to find the others.  Whatever landed in the Everfree could be dangerous, or," I raised my voice so the butter colored pegasus inside the cottage could hear me, "the animals in the forest could be injured." "Got it Twi!  I'll be back in a flash!" she raced off with her signature rainbow trail. "Could they really be injured?" I turned around to see Fluttershy poking her head out the door. "Yes, and if we don't look we might not be able to help them." I smiled. "Twi!  We got 'ere as soon as we could." Applejack ran up to us along with Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie. "Good, now do you know what happened?  We all need to be on the same basis." I looked around quizzically. "I was in my boutique so all I heard was an explosion." Rarity said. "I saw the gigantic fireball do a fly by." Rainbow added. "Ah saw both." Applejack looked towards Fluttershy. "Um... all I heard was a loud noise scaring me and my animal friends." she concluded. "I felt a huge doozy with a tail twitch.  I don't know what it was all I know is that it would fall!" Pinkie smiled and bounced around us. "Okay, this means we know it was the same thing that caused the noise and the fireball, but we don't know what it is specifically.  And if Pinkie Pie's Pinkie sense is correct that means it's something serious." I thought about the situation. "Let's just get in there already and kick whoever's flank that caused it!" Rainbow impatiently said. "Ah'm with Rainbow on this one.  If we don' get over there, there might be more damage then the forest." "Alright, but Applejack you have to bring your lasso." I explained. "On it, Twi." she nodded and we set off through the Everfree, again. *** They made it to the trench and gawked at what they saw, for the exception of Fluttershy who hid behind Rainbow Dash.  Trees were blown to the side, fire came in patches, the earth itself was torn apart.  They started to slowly walk towards the end, and saw a pile of rocks. "This has to be the most boring climax of all time." Rainbow said.  What they didn't know is that there was a dark being in the rubble. *** I can't believe this!  My host was willing to toss away his powers, and me, just so he can forget about some lowly humans?!  That is unbelievable!  When I actually had my first time out in the world I killed somebody that caused him a lot of trouble and he doesn't even thank me.  Yes I would've killed others, but that's the point of my existence, to bring the darkness out of his body. 'That's another reason why I don't let you out, you kill people!  I'm not like that and I won't stand for it!' oh great he's trying to fight back. 'Of course I am I'm not going to let it happen again' I drowned his voice out.  Right now he's too weak to do anything, but make me hesitate. I felt a presence coming towards me, six of them to be precise.  I smiled mentally, mostly because I couldn't do anything under this rock.  I  gathered energy with in my body making me pulse with dark energy.  I then used it to burst through the pile of rocks I was under. *** When Twilight felt the energy emitting from the rocks she told the others to stand back.  When it burst through though, that was a different story. Rarity looked ready to faint at the sight of it, Fluttershy jumped into the nearest bush, Rainbow Dash and Applejack stared slack-jawed at it, while Twilight looked at it in horror.  Pinkie for some reason looked ready to befriend it.  This creature was the most ghastly creature they've ever seen.  It looked like it should stand on two legs, with a black shirt some type of blue trousers (A/N: I'm going on a limb here saying that they've never seen jeans before.), coverings on the end of it's legs, and an overcoat.  It's skin was a sickly grey and it's mane was black floating like it was in water.  A mark was under his left eye that looked like a wing, but it was glowing a crimson red.  Though it had draconic wings sprouting from it's back that looked like it was made out of a black energy, it's eyes were the most horrifying.  They didn't look like any thing they were devoid of pupils and color itself, they were completely white. "What in Tartarus is that!" Twilight screamed out.  It looked down to her with an expression of pure malice and aggression that just spoke the word: DIE!. Without warning it launched forward at speeds that rivaled Rainbow Dash in her normal stunts, barely missing said pony by an inch.  When it landed it created a crater, it immediately turned around slashing the air where Rainbow flew up and AJ jumped out of the way.  It looked up and was prepared to leap at the prismatic mare when it got a face full of pink.  It stumbled backwards away from a very hyperactive pink party pony. "HIYA!  I was wondering if you could stop attacking my friends so we could have a party!" she looked up with a huge smile that almost broke the boundaries of her face. "PINKIE!  This isn't the time!"  Rainbow yelled grabbing her and pulled her away from the dark entity.  It stood there in confusion then it's face hardened  and it growled gathering up energy which worried Twilight.  When it opened it's mouth it scared everyone a whole lot more than when it appeared.  A beam launched out of it's mouth straight for Applejack which she dodged in time to see it obliterate a rock behind her.  It then spread his wings and launched up into the sky to confront the easily fastest enemy in his sights.  This surprised her and she didn't expect the force of the blow when it landed so she was launched even further in the air. It jerked back surprising him as he let out a grunt.  It looked back to see a lasso going up and around its torso.  It looked back up to see a rainbow trail then felt a very hard thing smash into its chest launching it down into the ground.  Rarity took this as a sign to try to hold the thing down with her magic, while Applejack was hogtying it.  When it was bound Twilight took a better look at it noting that it seemed almost feral in a way, even though it had intelligence that much was certain.  The way it moved, attacked, even just looking at them showed that it was reading their abilities and how they attacked. "Twilight it would be mighty helpful if you thought of how we deal with this...thing." Applejack said watching over the struggling creature. "I'm thinking...I don't think that this creature is originally like this." she said electing confused faces among the group and newly entering member. "Um...unless if you make it friendly I don't think that's going to happen." Rainbow said with slightly annoyed face. Friendly... why did that give Twilight an idea, "Friendship that's it!  If I can use a memory spell to put ideas of friendship into it's memory it should calm down!" "W-will it hurt?" Fluttershy timidly asked looking at the creature who started to shred the rope, just barely. "It probably will cause some disorientation, but it should be fine." she smiled slightly hoping the idea would work. "Well you, better get started.  That vile creature is starting to break free." Rarity took a step back. "And the quicker it's done the quicker we can have the welcome to Ponyville party!" Pinkie was jumping in place excitedly. She nodded and set her horn aglow.  When the spell in mind was ready to activate she stepped forward, albeit a little hesitant.  She leaned her horn down towards the forehead of the creature and cast the spell. The creature immediately stopped struggling and it's whole appearance started to change.  It's skin turned into a pinkish white, it's hair didn't change color but it stopped flowing, it's wings turned a light blue almost cyan along with it's mark under it's eye.  Speaking of eyes instead of pure white thy developed pupils with  sky blue irises.  This appearance calmed everyone, and took them aback.  I didn't look menacing so Twilight was right, but it had the look of utter fear, pain, and sadness, but the one thing that stood out in it's eyes was curiosity, and the look of pure determination to stop. This look didn't last long as it went back to dark and scary after five seconds and it's struggles increased tenfold.  It almost broke free when it screamed out and turned into it's lighter counterpart and passed out.  This freaked the girls out, but they looked at each other and nodded agreeing to bring it inside of the nearest house to question it. //-------------------------------------------------------// Distrust //-------------------------------------------------------// Distrust      I woke up from wrenching my body out of his control, to pain shooting across my body.  I groaned and tried to sit up, but I couldn't find the strengh to.  I tried to resolve being useless by opening my eyes, only to shut them due to the bright light.  I groaned again which caused someone to gasp and quickly run out of the room I'm in.      This made me get a confused expression even though my eyes were closed.  I tried to open my eyes again and found it a whole lot easier.  I blinked a few times to clear the spots and looked around at my current surroundings.  My first thought:  Why am I in a little girl's room?  The bed I was on was extremely small and it had hearts on the bed posts.  My eye slightly twitched at this.  Why couldn't I be on a couch instead of a little girl's room?      I stopped my mental ranting when I started to realize that something sat on my head the whole time.  I had a hard time mustering the strength to lift my hand, but when I did I felt a wet towl.      "What?" I asked to no one in particular.      I stopped again when I heard a door open.  I looked towards the door to notice a... how should I put this... oh yeah!  Multi-color ponies standing right at the door, not only that but there were two unicorns and two pegasai!!      "What... the hell...?" I asked which elected multiple gasps from the group.  That's when I had another thought:  Ponies don't gasp!  This freaked me out as I slowly tried to process just what the hell was happening.      One of the ponies, a lavender one, stepped closer to me.  This caused me to curiously stare at her, she just has a feminine look.  She cautiously walked up and looked me right in the eye.  I saw curiosity, and fear in her eyes which made me wonder just what they saw.  Was I a creature they've never seen before or... oh my god.  I saw a bruise on the cyan one's chest, and the orange one's mane was out of place since, from what I saw, it wasn't tied into the band that should make a pony tail.      My eyes widen in realisation and I mysteriously found the strength to sit up, which caused the lavnder and the yellow ponies to yelp.  They all took a step back as I looked at each and every one of them.      "What ever you think you saw me do it wan't me!  It might have been my body, but it wasn't me who was in control." This made them step back even further with clear fear in their eyes.  That is, until the cyan and rainbow one got a look of anger and flew into my face.      "What do you mean that wasn't you?!  It was clearly you who hit me into the sky, which was a bad move on your part!" She said with a tomboyish voice.  What the- they can talk?      "Rainbow Dash you can't go around acusing ponies just because they acted like they did.  Also he looked corrupted." The lavender pony said.  So the chromatic one is Rainbow Dash?  Name fits...      "Yes, I guess you could say I was corrupted." I tried to point out.      "See!  It said 'I guess' that means it's not telling the truth!" She turned sharply towards me with a glare.      "I don' know Rainbow, It looked like he's te-" the orange one with the stenson hat was inturrupted by me.      "Wait!  It?  I'll have you know that I have a gender and species, it's specifically male and human, you skittle reject!" I yelled out which made the yellow one yelp and most flinch.  I hated being called it, or thing I hated it when I was younger still hate it now.  Except for Rainbow who got in my face again.      "Who are you calling a skittle reject, you poor excuse for an ape!" She retorted.  She probably didn't even know what skittlez are, but that didn't stop the almost electrical rage we felt towards each other.  You could probably see the sparks too.      The lavender unicorn got in between us and yelled, "Stop!  This isn't goin to help anypony if you two don't stop bickering!  Now can you explain why you were corrupted?" I shot one last glare towards the pegasus and sighed.      "It's technically not a corruption if it's a secondary personality." This elected a lot of confused stares, "you see, my powers, including the wings, focus on the elemental scale.  This being the case, the energy won't be found anywhere physical due to a human body not being able to handle that mush power input and output.  To solve this problem my soul took the task of being a vessle.  This caused a reaction by creating an alternate persona that is the opposite to me in almost every way.  But, we can't share control of my body at the same time or else I'll most likely be torn apart.  So, I take almost all control being the original entity, while he just hangs ou at the back of my mind waiting for a chance to break free to kill a lot of people."      This gave me a lot more confused stares, except for one which just happened to be the lavender unicorn.  She looked at me with a focuses look trying to decipher what I said.      "So what you said is that your powers are divided between light and dark, creating the thing we fought?" She said simply which made a lot more sense to the other ponies.  My explanation took years upon years in order to figure out give me a breqk on the confusing words.      "Yep." Is all I said.   She gave an affirming nod and looked towards the orange mare.  She stared at me with a judging look.      She lightened up and looked over to Rainbow, "He's tellin' the truth."  This earned a still-not-satisfied glare from the pegasus.      "I still don't trust him." I glared at her, but honestly I wouldn't balme her.      "Honestly, you're right not to trust me seeing as anyone who trusts me seems to get hurt." My face darkened at the memory of my family, my hand insinctively going to my pockrt to finger my brother's ring.  This seemed to get the yellow pegasus's attention as she approached me in a timid way.      "W-why are y-you sad?" She looked at me with kind yet fearful eyes.  This made the barrier that usually formed around the subject soften a little.  I looked at the ceiling seein as I couldn't really look at the floor in a bed.      "Let's just say I made a mistake, and I payed for it." She didn't look satisfied, but backed off.  Next thing I knew there was blue, white, abd pink in my face.      "GAH!!" My arm slipped and the back of my head hit the head rest of the bed.      "HI!!  IwaswaitingtotalksincemyfriendsweretalkingandIthoughtofanideatoturnthatfrownupsidedownbythrowingyouawelcometoPonyvilleparty!!" Wha-how-why?      "What the fu-!!?!" I quickly slapped a hand over my mouh to stop the curse from leaving it seeing as how these ponies seemed a little too innocent to hear it.      "Pinkie Pie!" Was the simultaneous shout from all but two mares.  One being the pink fluff-ball in question and the seemingly timid yellow pegasus.      "What the Hell just happened!?" I yelled.      "Pinkie, Pinkie just happened." Rainbow Dash said with a blank look.      "Now that the whole Pinkie mess is out of the way I think introductions are next." The purple one said, "My name is Twilight Sparkle, and these are my friends:  Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash."      "Howdy." The orange pony with a blinde mane, stenson hat, and a mark with three apples on her flank.      "Hello, darling." The marshmallow white unicorn with a swirling purple mane, and a trio of diamonds on her flank.      "H-hi." the buttery yellow pegasus with a pink mane, and a mark of three pink butterflies on her flank.      "Hi!" Pink, crazy, with balloons on her flank, that's all I have to say.      "Still don't trust you."  This caused me to mutter 'skittle reject' under my breath, which made her glare.      "What's your name exactly?" Twilight looked at me.  Her name made me shudder involuntarily reminding me of a certain series.  Best leave that out of any conversation.      "My names Drake Johnson.  Nice to meet you." I smiled a genuine one, which has been very few on my part.  If the inhabitants of this place accept me like these five did, not counting Skittlez over in the corner, 'You're not seriously going to call her that are you?,' nah only when I think about her.  Mabye this world has hope for me yet.      Little did I know that this was only the beginning, because Twilight, after my 'capture', sent a letter to the pricesses of this world. //-------------------------------------------------------// Roses //-------------------------------------------------------// Roses      Fluttershy started her day like normal.  She woke up and fed her animal friends and was preparing to make her own breakfast. THUD      "Son of a-!!" A voice yelled from upstairs making her rush up to check on her new house guest.      She found Drake on the floor opposite of the bed clutching his left leg in pain.  Pulling him off the floor and back in bed she scolded him.      "You know you shouldn't be moving off the bed!  You have a broken leg and you're lucky that you have fast healing, because you would have stayed longer, but if you keep doing this you'll only make it worse." She had a scowl on her face looking down on the human.      "Being stuck here for three days is boring!  What do you expect me to do, sit here and do nothing?  I could at least use a crutch to move around in.  *sigh* what day is it today?" He said in an exaperated tone.      She looked at him confused before saying, "It's Tuesday, why do you ask?"      "No not that day, I mean month, day, the date." He asked again impatient.      "O-oh... It's March 14, 4562." She said in a whisper.      "Oh... Wait 4562?  It was only 2008 back home did I go into the future!?" Now he was confused.      "Um... It's A.D or after Discord." This brought Drake back to normalcy just muttering an 'oh.'      "So that proves I'm on a different world." His face immeadiately darkened with sadness, "That also means that it's coming up in five days..."  Fluttershy was slightly concerned knowing that it dealt with something personal she didn't persue.      "J-just wait two more days before you start walking around.  You're leg should be healed by then." He nodded still on the previous subject. ***      It's been a couple days since I came to this world, so I was naturally confused if I was even on a different world.  After a few minor briefs on this worlds culture and knowledge, which includes history, I realised that those scientists playing around with the fabrics of reality just made me come to this land.  Of course I was a bit sceptical on magic and everything being controlled by ponies, I went to school and learned some science.  But when I learned that their princesses controlled the Sun and Moon I think I might have fainted at the idea of Alicorns flying the celestial bodies across the sky.  Twilight explained to me that they use their magic to do so which made a lot more sense than what I was originally thinking.      With my leg fully healed I managed to get suprised at the welcome to Ponyville/Equestria party.  It was hosted at Fluttershy's house since I was staying there.  Let me just tell you, putting a suprise party with a guy who can summon the elements wasn't the best choice, pretty sure that they were terrified at the site of me but when flames danced across my hands in a defensive instinct, I don't think they'll begin to trust me for a couple of weeks.      I atleast was able to go to town and buy some roses.  The skittle reject followed me, but who could blame her.  The one who sold me the flowers, Roseluck I think her name was, looked terrified at the site of me.  That didn't matter.      The next day I woke up to yet another nightmare.  Something felt wrong with them now though, but at the moment... I couldn't care less.  I sat up slowly from the couch (we had switched sleeping arangements) with tears in my eyes.  It's officially been five years since they've gone.  I looked at the roses with dead eyes and got up to get them.  I turned around and tried to walk out the door.  I would have if I didn't here a quiet voice.      "Where are you going?" I turned around to the shy pegasus and she stared at my eyes.  I knew that my eyes looked devoid of life, just despair.      "I'm going to do something important to me." With that I turned to leave and immeadiately headed to Sky-view lake.      I continued to walk slowly for an hour, staring at the ground as my feet shuffled.  I glanced up once in a while to make sure I'm still heading to the right place.  I stopped at the edge of the shore, water lapping on my shoes.      I gazed at the lake in silence; I can see why they call it Sky-view Lake.  The sky reflected perfectly on its surface like a mirror.  I had a ghost of a smile on my face, the giew was truly beautiful.      It fell as I looked at the roses in my hands, feeling a mild breeze I started to srip the flowers of their petals and threw them into the wind.  Looking at the petals flowing in the wind reminds me of what my mom likes.      I pay my respects to my family in the same way every year.  I took roses and spread their petals into the wind at a lake, then I skip rocks across it until the sun sets.  My mom liked roses and flowers in the wind, when I was little my dad and I skipped rocks over the water, and I have my brothers ring.      I sit down and sigh.  I then pick up a rock and threw it across the lake with an empty look.  I don't care what happens... I'm not crying anymore... I-I think I've moved on.      'No your not... your always weak like this, you won't move on.'      No, for right now I am not listening to your manipulation!  Because I was arguing with him I failed to realize a rainbow hair fall infront of my face or the yellow figure in the trees.      I really wish that I'd paid attention. THUD      "Son of a-!" I yelled face planting into the water.      I looked behind me to see my attacker only to find Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy.      "What the hell, Rainbow?!" I screamed.      "Hey, I had to get your attention somehow.  You ignored me calling you for five minutes." This made me dead pan.      "And tackling me is better?"      "It got your attention didn't it?"      "Can't argue with that my back sure understands." I mumble rubbing my spine.      "Anyway, what the heck are you two doing here?" I was really annoyed at this.  All I wanted was to wallow in my misery for one day, and I couldn't even have that with this egotistical mare!      "Fluttershy wanted to talk to you, and I've tooken it upon myself to watch you just incase you do something.  So, to answer both of our questions, what the hay are you doing?" Fluttershy only nodded in agreement.      My face once again fell into a somber expression.  "I do this every year on this day..."      Rainbow got a confused look. "Saturday?"      "No, It's an annual thing... it would probably be best if I explained it with everyone-" "pony" "Right everypony, when we're all together."  My face turned back to really annoyed, "Now if you'll excuse me I'll just go back to wallowing in my miser-"      "Ah might wanna' hold that thought sugar cube." God dammit!  Why won't you ponies leave me alone!  I turned and saw Applejack walking towards us.      "Twilight says to get ready, 'cause we're goin, to Canterlot to meet the Princesses."  Oh great... This is about me isn't it.      'Oh really, what tipped you off?  You coming to an alien world, or the fact that you have unusual powers?' Real mature Dark, real mature.      'We're the same age and maturity, doofus.' how about you go to sleep in subconscience world, and I go deal with this and keep my sanity.      "-ake, Drake, DRAKE!" This snapped me out of my conversation.      "What!" I looked around trying to figure out what happened.      "Let's go!  The princesses want to see you too." *slap* "why'd you facehoof?"      "First, where I'm from it's a facepalm.  Second, I just knew this was about me." I shake my head and continue walking.      "Better get this over with." I sigh. //-------------------------------------------------------// Discord Part 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Discord Part 2 I don't know how long I was wandering around, but I finally found the girls who were... fighting?  Why the hell was Rarity carrying a rock?  Strangely Rainbow Dash wasn't there. "Um... guys where's Rainbow... where are you going?" they just walked by me and didn't even notice.  I looked back behind me and saw a gray haze, then looked at my transformed skin. "*sigh* Camouflage works too well." I started to follow them, and we made it out sooner than I expected.  I heard growling and turned around, to say that I was surprised to see a wooden wolf that was as large as a golem would be an understatement.  I was scared beyond belief. "The hell?!" the wolves lunged, on instinct I tried to launch a burst of fire on them, not even a spark.  I ran as fast as I could. *** Twilight was wondering what was going on when, "sssshhhhhHHHIIIIIIIIIIIiiitttt!!" Everypony looked at the figure running from Timberwolves in the distance.  The Timberwolves disappeared a little later. *** I did not realize the wolves were gone until I slipped on a soap road, flying upwards and crashing into the roof of a house. "That's going to hurt in the morning..." I groaned and got up.  Looking at the soap road for a second before looking for the girls, they were running out of Twilight's house with the elements.  Spike holding Loyalty.  Honestly, at the rate things are going I think I'm just in the background for laughs. I ran after them only to be stopped by me sinking into the floor of the upside-down house.  I have a feeling Discord doesn't want me to interfere. *** I've been stuck here for a while, and I'm getting angrier and angrier by the second.  Discord's been separating my friends so that they could be corrupted.  Each losing their respective element.  I can handle simple separation and slight traumatic experiences, but this... this crosses the line. One thing anyone should know about me, the angrier I get the more the temperature rises.  this being the case the wooden floor spontaneously com-busted allowing me to escape from the ashes.  I was pissed, I saw the others leave, color back to normal with Rainbow Dash, towards the maze again. I extended my black ethereal wings and flew the fastest I could go.  When I got there I saw the girls use the elements, only for it to be blocked by a random stone wall.  This only made my anger worse. "DISCORD I'M GOING TO KICK.  YOUR.  ASS!" I screamed out loud, successfully getting their attention, the mane six having horrified looks, Discord,  well let's just say you'd be laughing your ass off. Fire engulfed me, burning away at the transformation until I was there my eyes and body in a blaze.  I launched wave after wave of white hot flames at the draconequus.  Most of my attacks were explosive fireballs, some streams of flame. "First, I have this day to begin with, next you show up and ruin it, and then you have the audacity to try to corrupt me and my friends.  That just pisses me OFF!" my attacks got stronger with each point I list off, until I reached my boiling point. "I'm finished," I threw my hands forward whilst shouting, "Final Attack: Flames of Disaster!" Fire just poured from my being and coalesce into a being made of rock and fire.  The demon roared and dispersed into a fire storm, incinerating everything in it's path.  Discord was turned to ash on the spot, Twilight put up a barrier protecting the others as they stared at my attack in awe and fear.  I just lowered my hands and looked at the destruction.  To think that I could create this much chaos, from being in a rage. "*laughs*Well it looks like you've broken out of your periodic jail, Drake." my blood turned cold.  He was burned to ash I saw it.  He continued laughing while his ash reformed into an unscathed Discord. "You'll have to try better than that." dammit, I don't have the energy.  I looked towards the others, they looked at me in a formation... oh. "Then how about you come up here and face me like a man!" I yelled back.  He floated up towards me.  Hook, line, and sinker. "NOW!" I grabbed him, using whatever I had left to freeze his hands together so he couldn't alter the environment.  They shot him, and me.  While he turned to stone, I was being overcharged somehow.  Screaming, I fell from the sky and landed making a crater while energy swirled around me.  Being a guy who can willingly control the elements I tried to purge myself of all foreign energy. It worked to well and I passed out. *** I was in another nightmare, but I noticed what's been different these last few days.  In the corner there was a midnight blue door.  Summoning my strength in my quickly disintegrating resolve I reached towards the door and opened it.  Everything started to turn into pixel like squares, some changing color, others remained pitch black. When I looked around my new setting, I noticed it was the forest where I learned that I had powers.  Against my will a memory began to play.  It wasn't bad, or good, just a memory. I was little, around five or six, being that age I was emotionally fragile.  Kids had picked on my because of the tattoo I had since birth, I had ran when I couldn't take it anymore.  I ran into the forest, to my quiet place, right next to a small creek and inside of a meadow.  I was crying, no one to comfort me.  At that time I didn't even know that Dark existed.  I had cried and cried, ignoring the calls of my name and sat there. Eventually, something amazing happened.  I started to feel something stirring inside of me, when I looked around for the source, I saw small azure orbs of light floating upwards.  When I looked more I saw that the water had changed direction to make a circle around me and the plants looked greener, healthier.  Animals started to come out around me and i felt something on my back giving off a glow from under my left eye and my back. When looking behind me I noticed two draconian wings made of the same azure light.  Instead of freaking out I was mesmerized with its beauty. Then I saw myself in third person.  The memory had ended, but was stuck as me looking at the light within the grove. "Tis a wonderful memory, other-worlder." I jumped and quickly looked behind me.  I noticed a midnight blue alicorn like Celestia, but she had black regalia, looked younger, mane consisting of the night sky instead of the rainbow, and the moon on a black splotch for a cutie mark. "Uh...thanks, I guess?" I really didn't know how to respond to this. "You must be confused, We- I will explain as best I can." She caught herself.  I remember that type of grammar from English class because of Shakespeare, huh... guess you do learn useful things in that class. "Alri-" "Not without me you aren't!"I looked back at Dark. "I'd like to know just what the hell's going on here!" I snapped at him. "No one likes you, now go back to your fucking corner now." I point towards a dark cloud hanging over the forest, assuming that is where he usually is. "Art thou insane?" The alicorn looked at me quizzically. "He's not, but I am and I'd like to know what's going on." "Dark shut up.  Sorry, but this is my dark side." I gesture towards him. "Alright.  My name is Princess Luna, patron of the moon, and guardian of dreams." she addressed.  Just as I was about to introduce myself someone had to interrupt. "Hey, moon butt." "YOU WILL ADDRESS ME WITH THE RESPECT I DESERVE, CREATURE!" She yelled at Dark. "Ear drums, I need them please." I cringe holding my head. "We-I am sorry, we are still used to using the Royal Canterlot Voice." she apologized. "It's alright, now before we were rudely interrupted," I gave Dark the death glare which he ignored and continued nursing his ears, "My name is Drake Johnson, it's a pleasure to meet you Princess." I gave a little bow in respect. "Pleasure's all mine Drake.  My sister has said, that you had special powers would you care to explain?" "Well I-" I stopped seeing everything blur, and everything was fading. "It looks like our time is up Drake... until we meet again. "I'm looking forward to it." I smile until I feel a hand on my shoulder. He was cut off from speaking when I woke up. //-------------------------------------------------------// Discord Part 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Discord Part 1      We were just walking, towards the train station at a fast pace, if you could call it walking... it's more like a jog.  Anyway, I just happen to look towards Sweet Apple Acres and saw pink clouds raining chocolate, wierd mutant animals, and the apple trees being messed up.      "Rainbow, can you please explain to me, why the hell are there thoses things in Applejack's farm?!" I screamed pointing towards the apple orchard.      "Ah'm right here ya know..." Applejack said scratching her left ear.      "Um... that's also kinda the reason we were looking for you to get you to hurry."      "You know what?  I'm saving it for whatever the capitol's called." I mumbled rubbing the bridge of my nose.      When we actually reached the train it was almost leaving so I jumped on and lifted the others, with the exception of Rainbow Dash since she flew, onto the train.  Twilight handed me my ticket and we stayed in one car for a very boring hour or two. ***      We reached the ending point and rushed to the castle.  Me lagging behind, because other than ruins or fake sets, I've never seen an actual castle.  This caused me to lose the others for quite a bit.  Honestly, my self-tour of the castle would have been a whole lot better if A) It wasn't my most loathed day B) the near future didn't happen at all and C) If I disn't meet this one douchebag.      "What is that horrid thing?!" I think my eye twitched.      "How many freaking times do I have to tell people I am a person not a thing!" I whipped around to find a pompous looking white pony with a 'perfect' hair cut.      "Oh you have got to be kidding me..." I sighed.  I hate these type of people- er... ponies.      "Guards get this thing out of the halls!" The guy yelled for the armored unicorns.      "Listen I'm kinda' on a time crunch so I'm going to need you to lead me to the Princess, she needs to meet with me.  And if you don't want to I'll find my own way."  The only answer I got was a suprised silence.      With that I turned around and walked to the door, that is until he made a low blow..., "So this monkey thing can talk.  Well, it's most likely not smart enough to know how to open a door." I immeadiately turned around and slugged him.  Continuing to turn a full 360 I pulled the door open and walked out calling back, "Say something like that again and, you'll hope that it's only your face that I wail on!"      The next thing he said was something about his aunt or something, honestly I was done with him.  After a few minutes of walking I actually manage to stumble into the right room.      "Hey guys, I got lost, and mabye clocked someone." I waved and muttered the last part under my breath.  I looked over their faces to notice relief, concern, and curiosity.  With the exception of a stoic(?) face that I guessed was the princess's.  She was tall, had both horns and wings making her an Alicorn, white coat, golden regalia, flowing mane with a pastel version of the rainbow, and a picture of the sun for a cutie mark.      "Looks like I arrived just in time, and not to be rude or anything," waving my hands as to not make offense, "but can someone tell what the fuck is going on outside?!  I swear I saw Pinkie drinking from the clouds!"      "I did drink choclate milf from the cotton candy clouds!" Pinkie said enthusiastically waving both hooves in the air.      The Princess coughed to get my attention, "Oh!  Yeah, sorry.  My names Drake Johnson.  Nicknamed The Dragon Child for my powers." I did a swift bow.      "It's nice to meet you Drake.  But formalities later we have a very serious problem on our hooves." She started walking again.      "Care to fill me in?" I ask.      "Discord, a chaotic being who has ruled in tyranny until my sister and I sealed him in stone, has broken free and is now threatening Equestria."  She said walking up to an ornate door.      "Okay, a quick recap.  Discord, a reality bending person/pony, has escaped threatening the world with globally cringe-worthy and terrifying chaos.  Well... isn't as bad as having a homicidal freak in your head." I shrug.      The Princess looks at me wierdly before unloking the door and taking an empty chest out... the most anti-climatic chest openning ever.      "The Elements, they're gone!" Twilight gasped.  This reaction made me realize something was very wrong.  I looked around erratically, looking for the culprit until I spot a cartoonish looming picture inside the windows move.      "He's in the windows." I say in a calm voice, underneath I was anything, but calm.  I was pissed more than anything.      "Oh look somebody found me!  And what a strange creature you are. You just being here makes the air crawl with chaos." He said somehow rubbing his claw and paw together.  Why does he look like a jig-saw for biology?      "Discord!  What did you do with the Elements of Harmony?" The Princess asked.      "Oh Celestia, didn't you miss me?  Or at least feel bad, you know because your not supposed to turn ponies to stone."      "Don't worry I got him!"      "Rainbow wait! That's-" she ran head first into the window as the picture of Discord disappeared, "glass... Oh boy."      "Oh It's Rainbow Dash, self proclaimed fastest flyer in Equestria, and so loyal as her element represents." He scowled.      "So, what's it to you!" She said as she got back up.      "Alright, so ya' know us.  What does that have ta' do with the Elements?" Applejack interjected.      "Applejack, so honest and to the point.  It has to do with all of you!"      "Twilight has the most powerful of all, the Element of Magic.  Fluttershy with her Kindness.  And Pinkie for the Element of Laughter."      *snicker* "Pinkie!" Twilight yelled.      "He-he's dancing on your head!" She said bursting into laughter afterwards.      "Forgetting about someone?  I may not have an Element of Harmony, but I sure do have the elements of the world on my side."  Electricity danced across my left hand.      "Alright, a challenge!  Let's see... Got it!  Drake Johnson the one person bearing four elements of air, water, fire, and earth in their most destructive forms.  Also can fly with magic wings."      "Okay, this guy's good." I said nodding in respect.      "Okay, any way back on track give us the elements or I'm forced to use my powers." I call out.      "Oh, so boring, Drake. Really? Fine, I'll tell you, but I'll only tell you my way. To retrieve your missing Elements, just make sense of this change of events. Twists and turns are my master plan. Then find the Elements back where you began." Discord laughed maniacally, which really strains my eardrums cause things echo in the hallway.  He disappeared afterwards.      "Any idea on what he said?" Rainbow asks.      "Twists and turns... Twists and turns... Got it they're in the hedge maze!" Twilight exclaimed.      "Dear God No!  I'm horrible at mazes I'll be lost within the first turn." I slap my forehead in frustration. ***      "Well... this maze is a lot bigger than when I imagined it." I said with a look of astonishment.  I mean seriously, it's freaking huge!      "I don't know about you, but I'm flying over it!" Rainbow called out flying about two or three feet before face planting as her wings dissappeared.      "What the hay?! My wings!" She screamed looking at where they used to be.      "Eep!" Fluttershy quickly looked behind her only to scream at her empty sides.      "My horn, your horn!" Both Twilight and Rarity yelled.      I didn't feel anything go out of existence, but I sure felt disorientated.  My eyes crossed for a few seconds as I tried to find my bearings.      "What the hell just happened?" I ask still very confused.      "Ah-ah-ah!  You aren't going to cheat with flying or magic!  You'll be playing by my rules."  Discord's disembodied voice called.      "Okay, but what does that have to do with me?  I don't have magic."      "On the contrary, those elements you spoke of manipulating?  Well that's your magic.  And you can summon wings so I made sure you wouldn't be able to." He chuckled at the end.      I tried to summon my wings to prove him wrong only for them to sputter out of existence as soon as they appeared.      "What the... okay nice joke, but that won't put us down!" I yell out.      "Never fear girls." "and boy..." "We have each other!" Twilight exclaimed.      "Yeah! Like Twilight said, there's nothing we can't overcome if we all stick together!" Dash yelled in agreement.      "I'd like to argue with that..." I said, but got ignored.      "All right, girls, let's do this!" Twilight yelled.      "Together!" they then ran off towards the entrance to the hedge maze.      "And I have completed my life long dream of becoming a background character... figures." I sigh and run after them only to get separated.      "What?!" I exclaim looking at the bush that appeared.      "Stay calm, girls! Everypony head to the middle as fast as you can, and we'll regroup there!" she yelled trying to calm us down.      I heard a chorus of agreements and started to walk off and turn left. ***      "Where am I?" I ask looking at the set up before me.  It looked oddly familiar.      "You let us down Drake." I whip my head around hearing the deathly familiar voice.      "Who's there?  I'm warning you if you don't come out I will figure out how to set the hedges ablaze, and make you come out!" I yell out in a random direction.      "You could have done something to help." another voice sounded more masculine than the first one.      "What are you talking about?  Show yourselves!" I look around again only to see the most horrifying sight in my existence.      "M-mom, Dad?" I fell backwards trying to get away from this seemingly vivid nightmare.      "You failed us Drake... you let us die." they said together blood starting to form where their hearts are supposed to be.      "I couldn't get to you in time!  If I had launched an attack from that distance I could have kil- wait..." my eyes open wide as I realized something was missing, and that something shouldn't even be there, "Where's Tim?  He died there too, plus you're dead," I looked up in anger, "you aren't supposed to be here!  DISCORD!!  If you think that's going to make me go dark or abandon the others you're dead wrong.  I still haven't forgiven myself for my family's death, but when a soul is already corrupted you can't make it become corrupt!  So if you're done messing around get the hell out and FIGHT ME!"      "Fine, if you aren't going to betray them by being convinced I'll make you." He appeared before me and touched my nose.  I immediately noticed the changes, my skin turned grey and I felt... weird.  My wings were summoned without my doing and a really dark blue glow made itself known under my left eye.  I honestly looked like my dark form from what I could see, but I was in control.      "Okay now I want you to ruin their friendship more than it has already." he said with a devious smile.      "How about no, and you can pretty much go fuck yourself for all I care."I glared at him while he was in a state of shock.      "How?  You're supposed to listen to my commands!" He yelled in exasperation.      "One thing Discord, neither me or Dark are you're puppets.  We aren't going to listen to you no matter how many times you try!" I drew my fist back and slugged him in the muzzle and, before he flew off into the hedges, I elbowed him into the ground making him disappear in a puff of smoke.      "And that's why you don't send clones to do a Frankenstein's job." I walk off trying to find the center of the maze.
