1 down 20 to go
The girls made it into the Everfree Forest, and of course, it didn't take a long time to reach Zecora's hut, but they had to be very careful walking through the forest because of the blood thirsty creatures. However, Scootaloo wasn't doing a very good job at being careful. She kept going on about how much she hated staying with Spike. She complained so much that even Sweetie Belle got annoyed, and Apple Bloom had to do something quickly before Scootaloo attracted some unwanted guests. Apple Bloom turned to Scootaloo.
"Scootaloo, if you don't keep it down, I'm going to slap you into next week! Don't you know timberwolves are out here?" Apple Bloom asked quietly. She then turned back around and continued to walk.
"Gee, I'm sorry, but it's not my fault that your BOYFRIEND's a bad babysitter," Scootaloo said with a smirk.
Apple Bloom closed her eyes, sighing heavily. She remembered what her sister AJ had said: be the bigger person, walk away, and don't say anything.
"Too bad he likes Rarity," Scootaloo said, with an even bigger smirk.
Sweetie Belle couldn't help facehoof. "Oh man, Scootaloo, did you have to--"
But just as Sweetie Belle was about to finish her sentence, Apple Bloom jumped on Scootaloo and they began rolling on the ground, fighting.
"HEY GUYS, STOP!" Sweetie Belle yelled.
Apple Bloom and Scootaloo looked at each other and then at Sweetie Belle, their eyes wide. They had never heard Sweetie Belle yell before.
"You know, I knew this was going be hard for us three to get used to having no adults around, but I didn't think it was going to get this out of hand! We aren't even supposed to be out here! What were you thinking, Apple Bloom? We need to head home right now!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed.
Scootaloo and Apple Bloom got up and dusted themselves off. "Sorry," they both said, looking ashamed.
"Come on, let's go home. And shut up, but first say you're both sorry and then hug," Sweetie Belle said, still a little upset.
"Sorry, Apple Bloom."
"Sorry, Scootaloo."
They both hugged and smiled.
"Great, now come on," Sweetie Belle said, regaining the smile on her face.
--
Spike sat on the couch, a cup a water in his hand, watching tv. He took a sip of his water and looked at clock. "Huh, seven o'clock. I wonder when the girls are coming back... But then again, I don't really care," Spike muttered forlornly and he took another sip of his water.
The front door opened and Sweetie Belle popped her head in to check the place out. She looked around ans saw Spike slouching on the couch. "Um, hi Spike," Sweetie Belle said, smiling.
Spike heard her and looked at her for a brief moment, but then looked back at the tv. Sweetie Belle noticed this and her smile disappeared.
She closed the door. "Ok guys, he's still upset, so just act natural," she said.
Sweetie Belle opened the door and was first one to walk in, followed by Scootaloo and Apple Bloom.
All three wandered in the living room, but Spike didn't even pay attention to them and kept watching tv.
There was a awkward silence and the girls looked at each other, using body language to talk. Eventually Apple Bloom spoke up. "Um... Spike, are you ok?"
Spike said nothing and took a sip of water.
"Hey Spike, why aren't you listening?" Scootaloo asked.
"Spike!" the three girls exclaimed, concern etched on their faces.
Spike sighed heavily and looked at the girls. "What do you guys want?" he asked, annoyedly.
"Well, we're sorry for destroying the lab and we want to make it up to you," Sweetie Belle said with a smile.
"What can possibly make up for that?" Spike asked.
"Well, it's a surprise, so you're going to have to wait. And don't go into the kitchen!" Apple Bloom replied.
Spike stared at the three girls. "Whatever, I don't care," Spike said, and he turned around and looked at the tv.
The three girls looked at each other and walked into the kitchen, getting ready to make their "surprise."
7 minutes later
"Hi there, it's Billy Mays with another exciting product! Do you hate it when kids break stuff?" the voice from the tv asked.
Spike paid more attention to the advertisement. "Well, get Magic Stick! This spray puts a magical force field around anything you spray: couches, glass, even your hand! But wait, there's more--" Spike turned the tv off and smiled.
He jumped of the couch and headed into the kitchen. When he walked in, his heart jumped at the sight of Sweetie levitating a lit match over the gas stove.
Lit match + Gas stove=
"SWEETIE BELLE, NO, NO, NO!" Spike panicked. He ran over to turn off the stove but was stopped by Apple Bloom.
"No Spike, you'll ruin the surprise!" Apple Bloom exclaimed.
"Yeah, if I could just get this stove heated up," Sweetie Belle said. Spike saw her levitate the match closer to the stove.
He pushed Apple Bloom out the way ran and jumped. He snatched the match out of Sweetie's stream of magic and landed.
"Oh shit, that was close! What the hell were you thinking, Sweetie Belle!?" Spike shouted angrily.
"I-I was just--" Sweetie stuttered, only to be cut off by Spike.
"I don't care, just stay Twilight's room! I want all of you to go to sleep!" Spike snapped irritatedly.
The three girls walked out with their heads hung, and Spike sat down to catch his breath.
"One day of hell down, twenty to go," Spike sighed as he laid back.
--
The girls were in Twilight's room. They still pretty pretty down about the situation. 'I guess I won't get that hug or kiss,' Apple Bloom thought sadly.
"Good night, guys. Let's get some sleep-- I have a feeling it's going to be a rough day tomorrow," Scootaloo sighed.
