//-------------------------------------------------------// The WORST Party Ever -by MilnaBrony- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// What the hay happened //-------------------------------------------------------// What the hay happened It was 10:00 P.M. in Ponyville, and Lyra and Bon-Bon were heading towards the barn in sweet apple acres. "I can't believe we're an hour late," said Lyra, "All because you had to go on that secret mission Bon-Bon. Or should I say Sweetie Drops." "One, don't say my codename in public," Bon-Bon stated, "And Two, that mission depended on the fate of Equestria. Besides, you could've gone without me." "I wouldn't dream of it," Lyra reassured her friend, "You're my best friend, I wouldn't do anything without you." That comment made Bon-Bon feel a little better. "Even though you're late to everything nowadays," Lyra said, making Bon-Bon angry again. "Look we can talk about this later," Bon-Bon told Lyra, "Right now lets just smile and act as though nothing is wrong. Alright?" "Fine," Lyra answered reluctantly. The two friends finally made it to the barn house, which was where the party was being held. On the outside, everything looked fine. But when they got inside, it looked like a tornado went through the place. There was a broken table table, shards of glass and scorch marks on the floor, a pony shaped hole in the roof, and there was a broken Cello and broken Amplifiers on what looked like some sort of stage. The ponies in the barn didn't look good themselves either. The Cutie Mark Crusaders were covered with brown stuff, Big Macintosh and Miss Cheerilee were arguing in the corner of the barn, Rainbow Dash was wide eyed and bouncing all over the place, Fluttershy was standing on her hind legs with her fore legs opened wide and had a green pony with red dreadlocks hugging her, Princess Twilight was asleep on a bale of hay, snoring into a party horn, Spike was sitting on top of a barrel that, for some reason, was snoring also, Rarity was holding Pinkie Pie and stroking her now deflated mane, and Applejack was sitting in the middle of the barn with a tired look on her face. "Oh hey girls look it's Lyra and Bon-Bon," Rainbow Dash said quickly, as she bounced up and down"Hi Lyra and Bon-Bon Hey why are you two so late Usually ponies are like casually late but you two are really really really really really really really late Also why is it so hot in here?" Lyra and Bon-Bon were dumbfounded. Usually Rainbow Dash isn't so...exited. "What...What happened here?" Bon-Bon asked. "Oh that's a funny story," said Rainbow Dash, "Pinkie Pie thrown this party for Granny Smith and made me this punch that makes ponies talk super slow and I can taste the clouds AND WHY IS IT SO HOT IN HERE!?" "Why don't ya let me tell the story here Rainbow," Applejack said as she got up. "Oki doki Loki," Rainbow said bouncing up and down, "Hey I now know why Pinkie says that so much It's super fun say Go ahead and say it Say it say it say it say it say it say it." "Maybe later," Applejack told Rainbow Dash, "Anyway, Ah guess ya can that this whole thing started yesterday. Ah was bucking apples when Pinkie showed up and asked me what's new. So Ah told her Granny's birthday was coming up, thinkin' she might wanna throw her a party." "She's turning how old!?" Pinkie Pie exclaimed. It was yesterday mourning and the two ponies were standing in the grove of apple trees. "One hundred and ten," Applejack answered, while bucking another tree. "Applejack, do you know what this means for Granny Smith?" Pinkie asked with a crazy look in her eyes. "It means she's practically gonna out live us all," A.J. responded, now starting to regret her decision of telling Pinkie. "The exact opposite," Pinkie told her, "If she's turning one hundred and ten years old, then that means she has a very very very VERY low chance of living long enough for her one hundred and eleventh birthday, which also means that this might be the very last birthday party she'll ever get to celebrate, EVER!" "So does that mean y'all are gonna plan her party?" Applejack asked. "You bet I will," Pinkie said with a smile, "She's technically my granny too, and seeing as how she was there when Ponyville was born, I'm going to invite every pony in Ponyville to celebrate her big one-ten." "That's a lot of ponies," A.J. commented, "Are ya sure ya can handle it?" "You bet I can," Pinkie reassured her friend, "In fact, I Pinkie Promise that this will be the best party EVER!" "And it ended up being the worst party ever!" the present Pinkie wailed, crying onto Rarities shoulder. "There there dear," Rarity said, comforting her friend, "Let it all out." "Like, I don't know what you're talking about," said the pony hugging Fluttershy, "This party was radical, right Fluttershy." "I'm a tree," Fluttershy responded. "Fluttershy is right At least I think she's right," Rainbow said, "This party was awesome Even though I wasn't there it had to be cool And now that I'm here it's twenty percent cooler right Fluttershy?" "I'm a tree," Fluttershy responded. "Yall are not a dang tree!" Applejack yelled, "So stop sayin' that over and over again!" "What are you doing?" Bon-Bon asked Lyra, whom was levitating two bales of hay. "Getting us something to sit on," she answered, "Because I got a feeling that this is going to be a long story." Author's Note Four Things. 1.Rainbow Dash is sort of a reference to something. Can you guess what it is. 2.Fluttershy's current situation was loosely based off of this comic (http://doublewbrothers.deviantart.com/art/Radical-534600153) 3.One purpose of this story is to show how the background ponies can be more than background ponies 4.All of my other stories will be put on pause until this one is done //-------------------------------------------------------// Planning the party //-------------------------------------------------------// Planning the party "Okay, so what happened next?" Lyra asked, sitting on a bale of hay. "Well it was earlier today when Twilight showed up at the apple farm," Applejack recalled, "She came by to tell how well the party was doing." "Well howdy there Twilight," Applejack said earlier that day, "What brings you here?" "Pinkie Pie wanted me to tell you that everything is going according to plan," Twilight answered, "The invitations are sent, and everything should be ready by tonight." "Why couldn't she tell me herself?" Applejack asked her friend. "She's busy on making the refreshments," she responded, "By the way, I was hoping you wouldn't mind if I did a speech for the party." "Oh, Ah don't want ya goin' through the trouble of making a speech," A.J. told her friend. "Don't worry, I've already wrote the speech," Twilight reassured her friend, "Now originally it was meant for her funeral, but the context will do just fine for the party." "Ah don't know what Ah should be more uncomfortable about," Applejack said with a raised eyebrow, "The fact that y'all are gonna do a speech that was meant for my granny's funeral, or the fact that ya made a speech for my granny's funeral when she's still alive." "Oh i have a speech for every occasion," Twilight said to her friend, "I have a speech for when the C.M.C. get their cutie marks, I have a speech for when Rainbow Dash becomes a wonder-bolt, and I even have a speech for Lyra and Bon-Bons wedding." "Twilight has a speech for both Lyras wedding, AND Bon-Bons wedding?" Sweetie Belle asked, not understanding the concept. "Uh...Yeah, that's exactly what she meant," Applejack said with nervous smile. "Well duh," said Bon-Bon, "What else could she mean?" "Hey Spike, y'all were in charge of findin' entertainment right?" Applejack asked, trying to change the subject, "Why don't ya tell that part of the story." "Oh no," Spike said with a grin, "This current situation is way more entertaining than the story I have to tell." "Tell the dang story Spike," Applejack said through gritted teeth. "Alright fine," Spike said giving up, "Twilight told me to try and find entertainment for the party, so I thought we could use music. That's why I went to Octavias and Vinyls house to get the musician perfect for the job." Vinyl Scratch opened her house door to see Spike waiting patiently with a smile. "Hi Vinyl. Is Octavia home?" he asked. Hearing her name, Vinyls roommate came to the door. "Why hello there Spike," Octavia said, "What brings you here?" "As you know, Granny Smith is having a birthday party tonight," Spike told the fancy pony, "So I'm hoping you won't mind performing for her party." "I was actually not aware of this... party you're talking about," said Octavia, "In fact I didn't even get an invitation." "That's weird," Spike commented, "Pinkie said she had a professional sent the invitat..." Before he could finish, a cross-eyed mail pony landed on Spike. "Here's two invitations for a Miss Vinyl and a Miss Octavia," Said the mail pony "Oh never mind. The invitations were just late," Octavia said, taking the invitation, "Thank you so much Derpy." "Pleasure to be of service," Derpy said, taking off. Once she was gone, Spike got up and brushed the dirt off his scales. "So will you play for her party?" He asked. "I'd love to," Octavia responded, "However I refuse to play that dreadful do-se-do type of music. It's not my style, and there must be something wrong with a pony if he or she actually thinks it's good." Spike ducked just in time for a hay bale to go over his head. "What was that for?!" Spike yelled at Applejack, "They were her words, not mine. I was just telling you what she said." "Sorry, Ah just lost control for a second," Applejack apologized, "Did she say anything else?" "Not really," Spike responded, "She just went on and on about how terrible country music is." This time he was too late to dodge the bale of hay. "Sorry. Again," Applejack said to her friend. "This answers nothing so far," Lyra pointed out, "Why are there broken instruments on that stage, why is Princess Twilight knocked out, and what the hay is wrong with Rainbow Dash." "Nothings wrong with me, I feel great." Rainbow said quickly. "I actually know what happened to Dashie," said Pinkie Pie, "Like everything else, it was all my fault." Pinkie Pie was making punch in Sugar Cube Corner that day. While she was doing that, both her and Mr. Cake were having a little chat in the kitchen. "She's turning how old?" Mr. Cake asked. "One hundred and ten," Pinkie told her Boss/Friend, "And because there's a fifty fifty chance that this might be her last party ever, I want to make her special day EXTRA special." "Well then I'll make sure to have her cake extra special too," said Mr. Cake. Time passed until Rainbow Dash eventually came into the kitchen. "Hey Pinkie, how's the party planning going so far?" She asked. "Great, and you came in just the right time," said Pinkie Pie, "I need some pony to test my Pinkie Dinkie Yummy Wummy Super Duper Punch Party Surprise." "Why do you need some pony to test the uh...whatever it was you just said?" Rainbow wondered. "Because the Pinkie Dinkie Yummy Wummy Super Duper Punch Party Surprise is ninety percent sugar," Pinkie Explained, "It can give a pony enough energy that lasts for hours. However, that's the problem. I need to know whether or not it needs more or less sugar for the party. So will you test it?" "Sure, why not," Rainbow agreed. She got a cup, scooped some punch into it, and took a sip. "Hm, I don't feel any..." but before she finish, Rainbow Dash burst through the ceiling and into the sky as if she was a living rocket. "Alright, it needs less sugar," Pinkie said to herself. "Um, shouldn't you be worried about Rainbow Dash?" Mr. Cake asked. "Don't worry, she'll come back," Pinkie reassured him, "They always come back." "Alright, that explains Rainbow Dash," said Bon-Bon. "Explains what?" Rainbow asked quickly, "Does it explain how awesome I am? Because you don't need a story to know that because I'm already awesome all day every day." "For crying out load Pinkie!" Applejack yelled, "How much longer is that punch supposed to last?" "It should wear off any second now," Pinkie answered. "What's supposed to wear off? Is it my awesomeness?" Rainbow asked, "I'll tell you this much, it'll never wear off. Never ever because it'll last forever. Hey that rhymed. You know what a rhyme is right? It's where you take one word and have it sound similar...to...the...other. I'm going to lie down now." Rainbow Dash fell face first on to the ground and was knocked out cold.
