A Criss-Cross World (My Little Pony & Soul Eater Crossover)
"What is going on? You can't send us away without an explanation!" Maka exclaimed as Lord Death tried to shoo the students back. "Yes, I can!" Death replied quickly. Maka rolled her eyes. With the voice that he used all the time, it was hard to believe he took anything seriously. Death the Kid dodged away from the exit and gave his father a stern look. "You can, but you shouldn't. We have a right to know, father. What is going on?"
Lord Death paused, allowing the other students, consisting of Maka, Soul, Crona, Blackstar, Tsubaki, Liz, and Patty, to escape from his giant hands. He folded his arms in front of him. "Where does he get his stubbornness from?" He murmured to himself before clearing his throat.
"It won't benefit you in any way, but since you insist..." Death was trying to stall as long as possible. Liz put her hands on her hips. "Well?"
Death backed up and sighed.
"When you seven defeated the Kishin, some of his madness remained. Nobody knew it still existed, we assumed it would have disappeared with him! But no, it was still floating around somewhere and as luck may have it, a witch by the name of Sakuya got hold of that madness." He explained in a hurry, trying to get the students to stop asking questions. It was no use, though.
"A witch? Ha! We've defeated stronger opponents. Besides, nobody is getting harmed with the amazing Blackstar around! Just say the word and I'll go after her right now!" Blackstar shouted as he always did. Tsubaki, his weapon partner, agreed. "Blackstar has some crazy ideas, but I think he's right this time. We grow stronger through each battle. A witch wouldn't be very hard to take down, now."
"You all have done great, better than any other students at this academy. But there is still much you have to learn. The witch Sakuya doesn't fight how you'd expect. All the witches you've encountered use abilities they were born with, but Sakuya doesn't. She created her own magic that she uses in battle, which is why we avoid eachother. Sakuya understood how damaging it would be if she became enemies with the DWMA. She had the ability but knew it was best to stay away."
"So, why has all of that changed now?" Maka thinks out loud.
"It's the madness. She wasn't looking for it, she just discovered it. Her intention was to capture it and send it away, but unfortunately not even someone as powerful as her can contain even that small amount. One of her spells set it off all at once, and now she's become everyone's enemy." Death was growing tired of explaining all of this. What he needed to do was get the students out of there!
"You can't just put us in another country, we might be the only ones capable of defeating her!" Soul had finally joined the conversation.
"No one can defeat her! She does things nobody can understand, for no reason other than to entertain herself! She wasn't a bad witch before the madness got hold of her but now, our best bet is to send the students away and have the more experienced Meisters and Weapons take this battle." Lord Death was using his original voice now, the one most found scary. He didn't do that often, but this was a serious situation and if the students wouldn't listen, he'd have to make them.
"Go on now, quickly! Spirit will accompany you on the journey. Sakuya said she was on her way about thirty minutes ago! She could get here any minute! Go out the back of the building, not the front. Be careful, and remember to stay toge-" He was interrupted by a loud crashing sound from above. Someone was there! Was it Sakuya? It had to be! The last thing the students saw was a flash of light before blacking out.

"You didn't see anything, Rainbow Dash?" Princess Twilight asked as she folded her wings down. The blue pegasus shook her head. "Nope. I was reading another Daring Do story when that sound made me drop my book," she paused, "not that I was scared or anything."
"Rarity? Pinkie Pie?" The alicorn turned to the two friends who had just arrived. No luck, neither of them had seen anything that could cause a sound that loud.
"Apple Jack thought it was thunder, but the pegasi don't have one scheduled for another three weeks!" Pinkie Pie was bouncing around as always. "And if there was going to be a storm, my Pinkie Sense would have gone off!"
"Where is Apple Jack anyways?" Twilight looked around, almost expecting the mare to come running over at any time.
Pinkie shrugged. "We were making our way over here when that loud noise sounded, Apple Jack mentioned that the sheep would scatter without her there after hearing a sound that loud, I figured I'd keep walking because I thought maybe you knew what happened, and that's when I ran into Rarity who was thinking the same thing!"
Twilight looked down at her hooves, thinking deeply. "I saw a flash of light, but that's all. It was like a meteorite! But it was going too fast, I only got a glimpse. I was hoping one of you had gotten a better view. I know for sure it wasn't a meteorite though, because if it had been, Celestia or Luna would have spotted it from far away and warned everypony."
Just then, Fluttershy came flying over the hills faster than Twilight had ever seen. Twilight had to use her magic to slow the pegasus down.
"Fluttershy, what's going on? Did you see what happened?" Rainbow Dash questioned. Twilight flashed a glare at Rainbow.
"Y-yes!" Fluttershy gulped. She looked like she had just seen a ghost and her eyes were wide. "A-at my cott-t-tage!" Was all she could manage in this state. Twilight looked in the direction of Fluttershy's peaceful home. With a gesture, the princess led the way to Fluttershy's cottage. She had to carry the pegasus with her magic.
When they arrived at the cottage they gasped. Twilight slowly lowered Fluttershy onto the ground. "Who are they!" Twilight Sparkle exclaimed.
"T-that's what I-I'm wondering!" Fluttershy agreed, still in shock. Rainbow Dash flew forward to face a very bewildered blue-green unicorn with unusual dirty blond hair. She along with seven others had no cutie marks.
"Ehh..." The pony backed up. "I'm Maka... Maka Albarn."

Phew, that was a lot of writing! Well, at least for one sitting.
No, this isn't based off another story. There are probably a few Soul Eater MLP Crossovers but I haven't yet taken the time to look at any so if this does happen to be similar (in some way) to another FIMFiction (or fanfiction in general) it's by complete coincidence.
YES of course I had to include Crona! He's my favorite character! He hasn't said anything yet because he doesn't know how to deal with this kind of situation. (Please no arguing about how Crona is a girl or Crona is a boy, nobody has confirmed but I personally think that Crona is a boy, so he will be a boy in this story. You can't change my mind.)
Please, comment and tell me what you think! I usually have a hard time not repeating words too many times but I really tried this time!
I don't know how far I'll get because I'm usually lazy when it comes to story writing, but this is good practice for me!
