Chapter 5
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAminon sank slowly into the water and closed eyes as the bruises on her body flared up. She opened her eyes slowly as Kalib waded towards her but it wasn't until he almost to her did she freak out.
"Get the fuck out you pervert!" She screamed.
"Classic, seeing how this is my bathroom." Kalib replied before nodding to the golden K emblazoned on the door.
Aminon felt her cheeks ridden at her mistake but before she could move Kalib stopped her.
"We need to talk." Kalib told her.
"In here?" Aminon asked him. "Don't you think this is weird?"
"This is the only place we have complete privacy." Kalib replied.
"Fine, but you're a weird motherfucker." Aminon told him.
Kalib just shrugged before he spoke. "It's about your past."
Aminon felt a little color drain from her face before she hardened her eyes.
"So what?" She asked him harshly.
"Drop the damn act Ami." Kalib replied. "We both have a dark past."
"Don't act like we have shit in common." Aminon hissed.
"We both have darkness in our vein, both from our fathers." Kalib replied. "So yeah we have something in common."
Aminon just glared at him for a solid five minutes before she slumped slightly.
"You just don't know what it was like, I saw they both get killed right in front of me." Aminon told him. "I have that memory with me forever now, the final memory I have of them."
"I never knew either of my parents, but I do believe I have my father whispering in my ear most of the time." Kalib replied with a chuckle. "I guess it's what I get for being a demon spawn."
"So do I get to kill you then?" Aminon asked with a slight smirk.
"Really, that big of a question without even a first date?" Kalib asked her.
"Shut up you moron." Aminon replied.
"What; after cursing the past two days have you run out?" Kalib asked her.
"Do you have shit for brains?" Aminon asked him.
"Nah, but I can be an asshole if I want be." Kalib said with a sly grin.
"So you really don't know who either of your parents are?" Aminon asked him.
"I did say that didn't I?" Kalib asked her.
She swatted at him but he easily dove underwater and surfaced beside her.
"You need to become quicker." Kalib told her as his armor started to appear around him. "Motherfucking hell."
"What's going on?" Aminon asked him.
"The rest of the Imperial Guard were ambushed and need help." Kalib told her before getting out of the bathing pool. "Come on, time for you to get experience."
She pulled herself out of the pool but her hooves slipped on the wet tile. Before she fell Kalib caught her and as she righted herself she saw her armor form around herself.
Aminon galloped steadily in front of Kalib and she looked back at the gargoyle that was chasing them.
"You just had to fucking puss it off, didn't you?" Aminon asked Kalib.
"It's all part of my plan." Kalib yelled back before whooping and hollering at the stone beast. "Come on ya shit bag, you know ya want me."
Aminon huffed as she galloped harder.
"Are we close?" Aminon asked him.
Kalib chuckled as he looked at his visor before tackling Aminon into a ditch and covered her mouth until the gargoyle slammed into an invisible wall. When they dust settled Aminon push Kalib back and sighed.
"Thanks I guess." Aminon replied as she started to pick twigs from her mane.
"There's something I need to tell you." Kalib told her. "From physical contact I can see into someone's past."
Aminon looked at him for a second before he spoke again.
"I can control as long as I'm not too distracted." Kalib told her as he looked at the hole in the wall. "Ready to go?"
"Yeah, let's get this over with." Aminon told him.
They climbed out of the ditch and they carefully worked their way around and over bits and pieces of the stone gargoyle but when they got to the hole Aminon hesitated.
"What's wrong?" Kalib asked her.
"S-spiders." Aminon whispered quietly.
Kalib looked past Aminon and chuckled. "Do you want me to cover your eyes?"
"You do that and I'll kick you in the dick." Aminon growled.
"So no covering your eyes, so what if I just go of you and burn the webs?" Kalib asked her.
"There will still be spiders." Aminon told him.
Kalib nodded before fire cloaked one of his hooves.
"How about a cloak of fire?" Kalib asked her.
"Whatever to keep the spiders away from me." Aminon replied.
Kalib and Aminon walked side by side as he gently pushed her along the hallway until they came to the first room where the Imperial Guards were in and then his stomach dropped.
"They're dead." Kalib told her.
"How can you tell?" Aminon asked him.
"He can sense it." A voice behind them replied. "It's been awhile Aminon; has it been eleven or twelve years?"
Aminon froze up as she recognized the voice.
"Acsion, so this is where you've been." Aminon forced.
"Yes and now it's time for both of you to die." Acsion replied
