Max sighed sadly. His date had left him. However, this wasn't the first time. In fact, with this being the 5th time one of his dates bailed out on him, you'd think he get used to getting dumped. "Menzal, you sure do suck at picking up girls. Or even getting girls, for that matter...." Max thought. Max kicked the ground, frustrated. "Damn it. I thought I had her too." he muttered. What was wrong with him? He had the charm, and the looks. But he didn't know how to say the right thing. "Well....what do I do now?" Max asked himself. He thought for a moment, and thought he should go to his home. With nothing else, it seemed reasonable. But then he thought of Sugarcube Corner. It had, like, the best sweets and candy in Ponyville. And that mare...the pink one who lived there, he just had feelings for her he couldn't explain. Whether he knew it or not, "that pink pony" had feelings for him too. So Max began to trod over to Sugarcube Corner, but was not in a hurry. Once Max arrived, he went inside and when to the counter. Inside Pinkie Pie was at the counter, helping herself to a few cupcakes...okay, not a few, A LOT. (Jeez, has she ever heard of diabetes? How does she not even have diabetes anyway? WTF?) Anyway, Pinkie waved at Max and said "hi" to him, with her mouth still full. "Hey Pinkie..." Max said in a gloomy tone. Pinkie noticed he was down in the dumps, and frowned. "Your date dumped you again?" Pinkie asked. "Uh...yeah." "Oh," Pinkie Pie replied. "You wanna a cupcake?" she asked. "Yeah actually." he replied. Pinkie put a cupcake on the table he sat at. He ate the cupcake, suddenly surprised by it's flavor. I mean, sure, the other stuff here at Sugarcube Corner was really good, but the cupcake seemed really really good. It actually cheered up it's consumer a little bit, too. Max was confused about this, but still surprised at how good the cupcake he had just consumed was. It was delicious! "Hey, this really really good!" Max commented. "Isn't everything here?" Pinkie replied. She giggled at her joke. "Yeah, but this even more good." he said. "Yeah, this is my own special recipe.*" Pinkie said. *=Cupcakes Reference "Really? Cool." Max said. After a few minutes, he coughed and then cleared his throat. Max looked around nervously. Pinkie didn't seem to notice, for she was too busy occupying herself with eating MOAR (MORE) cupcakes. After eating one last cupcake, and downing it with a glass of milk, Pinkie announced she was going to bed. "Well, it's now or never, Menzal." Max thought. "Wait!" Max said. Pinkie turned around to face him. "Yes?" Pinkie asked, smiling. "Why is she smiling? She's either really happy, as usually, or thinking that something she's expected to happen is happening." Menzal thought quickly.
