The Republic of Equestria. Millions of Ponies live here, and everything seems peaceful on the surface. The recent elections have confirmed the current parlament once more, granting them four more years in office.

Pegasi manage the weather, Earthponies farm and build while Unicorns provide magical solutions for everyday problems. It seems like a perfect society, if there wasn't the dark secret of the goverment.

For years, the goverment has found and captured many mutants, which they named Alicorns. These mutants exceed everything known to ponykind in terms of power and are, therefor, considered a threat to the status quo. Since they are very hard to kill, the parlament decided to lock them away in a secret facility, run by a private organisation.

For over a hundred years, everything has gone smoothly, with no escapees or serious incidents… Until tonight that is…
