My name is Lyra Heartstrings and my cutie mark happens to be a lyre. Since I gained my cutie mark I have had an interest in the instrument. Every moment of my life was towards practicing to be great at it. My marefriend, BonBon loves when I play outside of the house since she hates the sound of the lyre. I don't know why because I play beautifully and the fillies and colts love it. So far i've had no complaints on my skills though for some reason, I never had the same ponies hear my music. For example, there was this colt by the name of Featherweight who would dance to my music. For such a skinny colt, he sure had some dance moves. I was hoping to see him the next day but BonBon told me that he died in his sleep and from what his parents told the mayor, he had died as soon as he got home. Now that I think about it, mares like Cloudchaser and Flitter disappeared after hearing my lyre and after them was Big Mac, Spike, and Pinkie Pie. Is it possible that I may have a part in their deaths? That can't be right. Right?

The sun began to rise over Equestria as ponies got out of their beds to start their new day of working and learning. Most were still getting use to the fact that less ponies were in the towns of Ponyville and Cloudsdale. Cloudsdale had lost two of their most valuable pegasi to what appeared to be heart attacks. The strange thing was that both of the athletes were at their piques with no recent signs of heart failure or other diseases.
Big Mac was found dead on his family farm during Applejack's turn at bucking apples. Apple Bloom and Granny Smith found him in a sitting position near the front of the tree. His chest was ripped opened and his blood was splattered onto the apples around him, yet the tree was left untouched.
Later that day, Spike was found collapsed under a large pile of books he was setting up with Twilight. From what Twilight had showed, his heart was gone, it was ripped out of him without him being touched. Everybody was there for her in her time of need except for Pinkie who had not left her room in Sugarcube Corner.
Upon entering the house they found blood trailing up the stairs. They followed it to Pinkie's room where she laid covered in blood against the back wall. She had a sheepish smile on her face but her eyes were closed. On the wall was a picture made of blood of a lyre cutie mark.
Lyra had been scared ever since the reported incidents. She loved to play her lyre for the ponies around Ponyville but she feared that whoever listened to her would die next. She would go about her life the same as usual with her marefriend BonBon. Lyra did her best to avoid looking at her lyre, once even hiding it away to avoid seeing it. For a while, life had went back to normal and no deaths were reported.
The two months past by slowly, Ponyville and Cloudsdale had fully recovered and the ponies were doing their usual work for the day. In the home of Lyra, BonBon was in the kitchen cleaning the dishes from the previous night. She wore a smile on her face as she hummed the Winter Wrap-Up song under her breath. Lyra watched BonBon from the couch in the living room however her expression was opposite from the beige pony. Wearing a sleepy frown with tired and puffy eyelids was the definition of Lyra who tried her best to stay awake. It was too early for her and she preferred to sleep in on occasions since she had nothing more to do.
Knowing Lyra's state at the moment, BonBon yelled from the kitchen in her usual sweet tone, "Honey!"
Lyra's ears perked up. "Yeah dear."
"You think that we could do something for this evening -" BonBon turned the water off and faced the still drowsy Lyra. "- since all our work is done for the day and we'll most likely just be here in the house bored."
"Sure, why not." Lyra yawned out as if she had little interest. Bon Bon was always more active than Lyra so this was nothing out of the norm if it was her lover. Most of the time she had to be convinced by Bon Bon to even get out of bed or eat.
BonBon smirked as she walked into the living room, a dead give away if Lyra wasn't still tired. "Perhaps I can hear you play your lyre."
Lyra shot up from the couch and stood nearly muzzle to muzzle with Bon Bon. " M-m-m-my l-l-l-lyre?" Her eyes opened wide with fear, "I don't think that's a good idea. Maybe we could find something else to do like bowling, heh."
"What's the matter?" BonBon said with a puzzled look on her face. "You've been trying to get me to listen to you play it for years and now you change your mind."
"I think my lyre may have been somehow involved with the death of those ponies." Lyra said with a shaky voice. Despite the serious facial expression Lyra had, BonBon couldn't help but laugh at her marefriend. She always knew Lyra was a bit paranoid and even questioned her sanity from time to time but this was something completely new to her. For Lyra to be so scared of her instrument was simply hilarious to BonBon. She continued to laugh while Lyra grew more and more agitated. "It's not funny, Bon!" Lyra yelled out.
BonBon quickly stopped her laughing and looked Lyra in the eyes, trying her best to hold back her laughter, "Oh c'mon honey, don't take it so harsh. I mean it's not everyday an instrument is responsible for lives."
"It's not a joke!" Lyra exclaimed with obvious hatred in her eyes. "I'm sure that my lyre is the reason those ponies are dead!"
Bon Bon furrowed her brows and sighed. "How does you playing music qualify for their deaths?" Bon Bon questioned her marefriend who was now even more agitated.
With a twitchy right eye and slight growl, Lyra was on the verge of attacking. "Everypony who died was listening to my music hours earlier. I mean take into consideration, Big Mac. He died at his family farm."
"Okay so he listened to your music once -" Bon Bon sat down on the couch and adjusted herself to be comfy. "- but keep in mind that he also pushes his body to the limit with the whole apple bucking thing."
"How does bucking apples end with you having a hole in your chest?" Lyra asked as she sat down on the couch as well. "Last time I checked, bucking involved your hooves."
Bon Bon scratched her mane while thinking of what to say next. "Well... I guess that is... um..." She tried to quickly think of something but her thoughts were all over the place. It was even more of an issue due to Lyra looking at her as if she was an enemy.
"Bon Bon!" Lyra interrupted.
Bon Bon snapped out of her thinking instantly, "I don't know Lyra but I'm sure it's not because of your instrument." BonBon gave Lyra a look of anger as if the mint pony did something unspeakable. "You're lyre isn't cursed for Celestia's sake. Stop acting like a paranoid filly."
It wasn't easy being in a relationship with BonBon. She was sort of the dominating type and when she didn't have her way or something awful happened, the blame was shifted to Lyra for no reason. It made no difference what had happen to her or whether Lyra was even near the area. Lyra was always punished and she had to endure it for the sake of their relationship. The punishments were never severe, BonBon would scold Lyra until she dropped from exhaustion and had to be carried to bed. Lyra could sometimes even hear BonBon scold her in her sleep. Lyra, fearing the usual scolding coming up took a deep breath. "*sigh*, okay fine." Lyra rolled her eyes, "I'll play my lyre for you, Bon."
"Oh, thank you!" BonBon's mood changed quickly as she embraced her marefriend and kissed her on the cheek. "I'm sure I will love it."
Still in her embrace, Lyra sighed quietly. "You have no idea."
The afternoon came quickly and BonBon had left Lyra to go to the market. Since their fridge was empty, Lyra knew she would be gone for an hour and a half. This was the perfect time for her to test her theory on the lyre she possessed.
Around this time, there would be fillies and colts playing outside, thus giving her test subjects to experiment on. The only one around at the time was a colt by the name of Button Mash. This brown earth pony had now been playing by himself due to the "accidental" death of Featherweight. Before that, the two were best friends who loved to play with their toys. When they weren't playing with their toys, you could usually see them playing the arcade games near town hall.
Button was playing with his toy train all alone near Lyra's house. He found solitude to be his new friend since the death of Featherweight and found it hard to even play with others. Most were quickly turned away and those who even looked like his friend were yelled at by the little colt. Playing with his train wasn't even exciting anymore; he couldn't even show a smile and his ears had drooped down. Lyra felt his depression hit her hard in the stomach, "If it's going to be somepony -" Lyra grabbed her lyre from under the bed "- It might as well be a pony who lost someone dear," she sat down on the bed and began to play her lyre to the colt.
The music left the room and hit the brown colt whose ears perked up in attention, "Hello?" - He looked around trying to find the location of the music, trying to see if somepony might have seen him depressed. "Where is that music coming from?" he said to himself as he walked over by the nearby tree, leaving his toy train to see if somepony had been hiding behind it. He looked all around but found nopony playing the bueatiful music.
Lyra continued to play her lyre to Button without realizing that he had went to the tree. The music continued to enter his ears, entrancing him in its melodic notes and harmonizing sounds. He soon found that he wasn't controlling his actions anymore. His mind slowly becoming numb every second a note was played from Lyra's lyre.
As if on command, he held tight to the sides of the tree with his hooves and with the strength of a stallion began banging his head hard against the bark of the tree. Button showed little reaction to the pain he was experiencing as he struck his head in a rhythmic pattern. He let out little groans after each impact but the sound was so low that nopony in their house could hear him. With each blow, Button's skull shattered more and more, allowing blood to spill out of his ears, eyes and mouth. The blood splattered the tree as Button's continued to ram his head viciously into the tree.
Lyra began to pick up speed and eventually so did Button Mash. He rammed his muzzle against the now jagged pieces of bark with blind fury. Bits of skin ripped off of his face, exposing muscle tissue that began to bleed out quickly. One jagged bark was impaled into his left eye while another had lodged itself into his throat. His groans became gurgling muffles, his vision became blurry, his breathing stopped, and his hearing clogged. The lyre's tempo increased with each second yet Button could no longer be forced to keep up with the rhythm. His body slowed down in speed until he exerted the last remains of his energy falling to the ground.
Lyra was finally finishing her music up when she heard the sound of a body collapsing. She looked out of the window to see the brown colt laying on the ground with his head barely recognizable. A few ponies appeared seconds later, looking on in horror at the sight. They were too frightened to scream and most of the fillies and colts had their eyes blocked by the older stallions and mares. Blood plastered the tree with little drops trailing all the way to his head where a pool of blood formed.
Lyra was speechless. The thing is, she wasn't scared of what remained of Button Mash. She was more scared of the tree which had an image on it. To her surprise the blood had form the image of a lyre, the same lyre that Pinkie had drawn on her wall in her final moments. "I knew it!" was all she said as she threw her lyre to the floor and ran out the room.
She ran down the stairs and bolted out of the front door. She was met with a small crowd of ponies who were crying and embracing each other. The sight was gruesome to all who was watching and yet all Lyra could see was the lyre shape image on the tree. It was as if the image was piercing her brain and holding her hooves down. She was sure that it was no coincidence. "Both Pinkie and him were bloody." Lyra turned her gaze to the open window of her room. "Both had that image near where they died."
Lyra went back into her house and sat on the couch. She was piecing more and more of the incidents together. Everything from the death of Spike to the death of Button Mash was being connected in an attempt to get an answer. This task wasn't easy for her yet she wanted a way to prove to her marefriend that she was right all along.
"Let's see" - Lyra rubbed her chin with her hoof. - "both Pinkie and the colt had a lyre image near their death scenes. Big MacIntosh died near a tree as well but there was no lyre image there nor with spike. I'm pretty sure someone would have noticed an image anywhere near Big MacIntosh since there was blood but with Spike, there was no blood and his heart was gone. How is it even possible to do that without leaving a scar? If I play my instrument for her she would most likely die in a gruesome way!"
"Wait...MY LYRE!!!" Lyra jumped off the couch and ran up to her room with the speed of a stallion. She made it to the door of her room and saw that the lyre she dropped earlier was now on the bed. Confused as to how the lyre moved to a different location, she soon noticed red splotches on it's base. Little bits of the splotches were on the bed sheets in separate areas but were darkish red as if dried up. Lyra slowly walked in the room, fear gripping her every motion as she made her way to the bed. Her eyes fixated on the bed similar to how her music had entranced Button Mash earlier. She couldn't look away, turn back, or even think of anything but the lyre. She reached the bed and sat down on the edge, staring out at the door of the bedroom. "Why am I doing this?" Lyra questioned herself.
The sound of a door opening and closing seconds later could be heard throughout the house. Lyra was still consumed by fear as she heard the sound of bags rumbling onto a table. The figure trotted around downstairs for a few minutes with a faint humming sound echoing through the hallway. Lyra knew who it was. The next victim, prey, soul, sacrifice, you name the word as she was that. It was BonBon who had returned from the market with groceries.
She could hear BonBon calling her name over and over again. "Lyra, Lyra, Lyra, Lyra...Lyra..." Lyra remained silent.
"Honey? Are you upstairs?" the beige pony's voice once again echoing throughout the hall.
Lyra remained silent. "Honey, please answer me..." the beige pony pleaded.
Lyra's horn lit up. A magical aura enveloped the lyre, moving it towards to the mint pony and forcing it into her hooves.
"I'm coming up, Lyra." BonBon said with a sense of fear in her voice.
Lyra's eyes widened and with strained voice, finally responded, "I'm coming down Bonny, I was just coming from the bathroom!"
BonBon giggled silently to herself, "Okay. Hurry up though, I'm preparing your favorite food."
Lyra calmed herself down, "Okay!" Lyra looked at the lyre in her hooves.
Downstairs, BonBon was finishing up with putting the food away. The oven was set to 275°Celsius and she had started adding carrots into a bowl. BonBon was preparing Lyra's favorite dishes which included hay burgers with steamed chopped carrots and french fries. Being the "generous pony," she was also preparing a vanilla cake. It was her favorite type of cake and she would usually revel in the fact that Lyra hated vanilla. It always made her laugh to see Lyra's expressions after eating a slice. At one point she had to feed Lyra the cake like a foal. She would get a chuckle out of it and Lyra would do her best to wash the horrid taste out of her mouth. It was mostly just for fun for BonBon, seeing any opportunity to see her marefriend make the cutest face as she would chew on the slice.
"This time I plan to make a mental image of her face!" BonBon chuckled under her breath.
While BonBon continued preparing the food, Lyra had moved to the bathroom to clean off the lyre. She used her magic to place the lyre under the faucet and turn the hot water on. Lyra hoped that the hot water would remove the splotches off. Steam soon covered the room and it became hard for Lyra to see her own hooves. With the air becoming thick coupled with the fact it was hard for her to breathe, Lyra turned the faucet off. She used her magic to open the window near the bathtub in order to clear out the steam in the room. It took a minute for the bathroom to be completely filtered, however Lyra found that the splotches had not come off.
The splotches seemed to have almost covered the entire instrument except for the strings. "How is it even -" Lyra paused at a sudden realization that she found earlier. "- The splotches almost make it seem like the images!"
"Honey! Come on down the food is nearly done!" BonBon yelled from the kitchen.
"Crap..." Lyra said solemnly. "Well at least I can hide this damn thing until she goes to sleep," she thought grimly.
"And bring your lyre down too, I want to hear your music!" BonBon yelled out coyly. "You promised, remember?"
"Double crap..." Lyra looked dejectedly at her instrument still floating by her magic.
Minutes later Lyra, with her lyre on her back entered the kitchen to the sight of twelve hay burgers with extra cheese, french fries and steam carrots covered in ranch dressing. A bottle of the Apple Family's cider was on the kitchen counter and two small cups already filled with cider was placed next to the plates. At the edge of the table was a four layered vanilla iced cake with strawberries decorated into a heart pattern at the top. On the bottom half of the cake was "Lyra + BonBon 4ever" written in red icing. On the third layer was plastic toy versions of themselves muzzle touching.
While it wasn't their anniversary or anything special, Lyra did admire what BonBon had cooked and was waiting to chow down on it. She grabbed the lyre with her teeth and placed it on the table. BonBon heard the sound of the lyre hitting the table and walked over to the table from the oven. "This looks great!!!" Lyra started to drool like a foal onto the table.
BonBon was going to reply however she noticed the stained lyre on the table. "Lyra, what's going on with your lyre?"
Lyra suddenly became slack-jawed for a second but quickly fixed herself in front of her partner. "It's nothing, really -" Lyra kept a straight face while staring at her partners eyes. "- I dropped it in tomato sauce earlier and the stains wouldn't come off."
"Can it still play?" BonBon asked.
"Oh yeah, the strings are still intact." Lyra directed her eyes to her hooves in an attempt to avoid eye contact.
BonBon smiled, "Good. I definitely want to hear what makes your lyre so special to the ponies around town." BonBon raised her left hoof into the air, "Now, let's dig in."
21 minutes later...
The table was now clear of all food with the exception of the plates which had crumbs all over them in the usual cartoon fashion. Both ponies were sitting side by side together, rubbing their bellies in unison and letting out a few belches here and there. BonBon still had vanilla cream around the edges of her mouth while Lyra had ranch dressing on the upper part of her muzzle. Their bellies expanded to how Pinkie's would be after eating an entire seven layered cake just without the whole cartoon-style that Pinkie was known for.
BonBon yawned loudly as she strained to turned her head to Lyra, "So can I cook or what?"
Lyra gave a big toothy smile to her marefriend. "You definitely can cook -" she let out a loud belch complete with the earth-quaking effect "- but I still don't like vanilla."
BonBon snickered under her breath which quickly turned into another yawn. "I'm glad you at least tried the new recipe...for...the...yawn...cake."
"You okay, Bon Bon?" Lyra asked.
"Yawn... yeah just sleepy," BonBon turned her head to the opposite of Lyra's direction and closed her eyes slowly til they were completely shut. Her head would of tilted to the side, instead it rested peacefully upon her shoulder.
"Bon...Bonny...you awake?" Lyra asked with the answer coming in as sounds of snoring. "Guess she's asleep. I guess now would be a good time to try out to see if the lyre would work on her. I know that it must be cursed by the deaths but maybe there is some kind of loophole when it comes to marefriends and...what the buck am I thinking!?"
Lyra activated her magic once again to levitate the lyre, still laying on the table over to her. She continued to levitate it since playing the harp required using magic to keep it still while strumming the strings with her. Lyra started to strum the lyre, "I can't believe I'm about to say this. Celestia let this work." She played without flaw for the five minutes, only looking at Bon Bon every thirty seconds in between to see if she stopped moving. It was clear that her marefriend was still sleeping so she increased the tempo just as before. Faster and faster the music became but the beige pony continued to sleep peacefully. After a few more minutes, she abruptly stopped playing and allowed it to fall to the ground after removing her magic from it.
"Why didn't it kill her?" Lyra thought to herself. "I mean I don't want it to kill her, but how come it didn't affect her?"
"Perhaps thou would like an answer?" A voice echoed throughout the room.
"Who's there?" Lyra searched as far as her head could go, yet could only find Bon Bon still sleeping. "Twilight, Rarity, anypony. Show yourself, please."
The voice began again. It was calm with a hint of boredom, "I figured by now that our speech pattern would be recognizable."
"I don't quite understand." Lyra quizzically stated.
"Why don't we go back to after your first date with your friend." The peeved voice said.
Lyra turned her head towards Bon Bon once again. "Why there? I mean I remember everything that day, the kiss, the eye locking, the cuddling, etc."
"You don't seem to remember much so allow us to help you with that," The entire room lit up in bright lights and blurry voices.
Lyra watched as a pony in a room full of pictures of a blue and pink mane pony in various poses was in front of her. The pony was playing an instrument, illuminated by magic on the bed. The tune was simple and peaceful but very slow. The pony was trying her best to keep a pace for every note yet would miss a note whenever she got into it. Every mistake required a redo and sometimes the melody would be altered for experimenting or just plain fun. The pony used their magic to grab one of the pictures and place it near their lap, playing for it as if the pony in the picture was actually there.
Lyra continued to look on at the pony with her eyes widening as the view became more and more clearer. Lyra gasped, "It's me!"
The Lyra of the past had rested her lyre onto the bed. She laid back onto the bed and stared into the ceiling with a smile. She used her magic to bring the picture closer to her face. The picture was Bon Bon. In fact all of the pictures were of Bon Bon each with different poses or different facial expressions, ranging from goofy to embarrassed. The past Lyra sighed happily and gave the picture a small kiss before resting it back onto the wall of other pictures. For minutes she laid there just staring off into space while her present self stared at her confusingly.
"What the buck is going on again?" An irritated Lyra muttered under her breath. Looking at her past self acting like a fanmare was more than enough to make her feel disgusted.
"I wonder if Bon Bon will like my music?" The past Lyra glanced down at her lyre. It's gleaming metallic gold form was the only odd thing in her room of affection and love. The present Lyra looked on with wide eyed confusion. This was obviously how she use to act when Bon Bon and her started dating. The past continued to look at the ceiling wearing a joyful expression on her face, "I know she doesn't like Canterlot music and I am from Canterlot, but that doesn't mean she couldn't give it a try, right?" The past Lyra rose up again, she turned her attention to the pictures hanging on the wall. "I wish my music could touch her heart the way it does mine."
Present Lyra's eyes widened. "I wish...heart," The images of Big Mac, Pinkie, Button Mash, Spike and Featherweight's death resurfaced in her mind in brief flashes. If the death scene didn't have the heart removed, then the image of the lyre would be visible. They raced around in her head and flashed every second in her mind. She tried to block it out but found it useless because the former image of the past Lyra turned into the death images.
"Do you see now?" The voice stated in an obvious dark tone. Lyra almost toppled to the ground from the harsh gravity of the voice's tone, "You are responsible for the actions of ponykind!"
Lyra dropped to her stomach, unable to bear the sights before her. She closed her eyes tightly and clenched her teeth, her forelegs held her head down as if she was ducking from an attack. Mere seconds passed before the images faded and the room returned to normal.
Lyra opened her eyes to see the kitchen the way she left it moments ago, "What the buck?" She turned her head over to Bon Bon still sleeping and back to normal size much like herself which she realized after getting up with simple ease. Lyra motioned her body to the couch in the living room. Upon sitting on the couch, she was met with a dark blue alicorn wearing regalia that showed the lunar symbol similar to it's cutie mark. Lyra was left flabbergasted upon seeing Princess Luna sitting right next to her on the couch eating a piece of vanilla cake.
Princess Luna was staring back at Lyra with her usual facial expression of boredom and seriousness all the while chewing on the piece of the cake. "We see that thou is still scared." Luna stated in her now normal voice.
"I don't understand this" -Lyra began to rapidly scratch her mane- "It was a wish. When has a wish ever come true so horribly?" Lyra tried to look at Luna out of respect for royalty; She couldn't muster the strength to even stop herself from scratching at her mane.
Luna swallowed the small piece of cake she was chewing and turned her attention to the kitchen. Her horn activated, bringing the lyre from the kitchen into the living room, "A wish is a wish, it's bound to happen when your desperate." With stern concentration, Luna's magic forced the lyre from the kitchen to the couch. "I am afraid that this my dear is not a wish but a dream."
The mint pony tilted her head in confusion. Luna sighed and raised her hoof. "Ever wonder why thou was forced to eat vanilla cake when thou hates vanilla cake? What about the disappearances of Cloudchaser and Flitter?"
Lyra rubbed her chin in a mock thinking pose. "I'm use to Bon Bon force feeding it to me since I hate vanilla," An embarrassed Lyra shyly muttered. "And as for Cloudchaser and Flitter, I hardly know them aside from being pegasi from Cloudsdale."
Luna summoned another slice of vanilla cake from thin air, "It never happened." The lyre Luna was levitating disappeared, "You've been having nightmares because of your fear of playing for your friend. This use to be very common back in the simpler time of ruling." Luna bit into the cake slice, chewing joyfully as she savored the flavor again.
"If that's the case, then what about those deaths?" Lyra asked the cake loving alicorn sullenly.
"Just your expanded thoughts about what if everypony hated your music. In other words, your fears expanded." Luna said calmly.
Lyra felt discouraged by the thought of all that she had been through being simply a nightmare still going on. It didn't matter to her that everypony she played for had died since it was all in her head. Luna turned her attention from the pony next to her to the kitchen. Lyra saw Luna and turned to the direction of Bon Bon walking through the door. She had a smile on her face and her aura was calm yet sweet, Lyra couldn't help but smile back at her. She propped herself off of the chair and trotted over to her marefriend to hug her. Luna watched on with a smile as her subjects embraced passionately.
Bon Bon broke the embrace and stared into the sun-glow eyes of her lover, "The music was lovely, Lyra." Bon Bon placed a hoof on Lyra's shoulder causing the mint pony to blush hard.
"But you were sleeping when I played. How did you hear it?" Lyra gave a look of confusion to her marefriend.
Luna cleared her throat to gain the attention of the two mares. "Tis a dream, she could still hear the song even though she was sleeping," Luna firmly stated.
Lyra looked back at Bon Bon. "You thought it was lovely?" Lyra shyly asked.
Bon Bon gave Lyra a simple, "Yes," as she nodded her head as she firmly answered her marefriend. "I loved it."
Luna once again interrupted the conversation. "Just so you know, this is a joint dream so that is the real Bon Bon. Didn't want you to believe that you were making this as you go."
"Thanks, Bonny and thanks, Princess Luna." Both Luna and Bon Bon nodded in acceptance causing Lyra to cry in joy. Bon Bon grabbed Lyra and allowed her to cry into her arms. This continued for minutes before Lyra faded from her dream hug with Bon Bon and re-entered reality.
Princess Luna moved off the couch to confront the beige pony. Wasting no time Bon Bon bowed towards the queen of the night but was stopped by the raising of Luna's left hoof. "Will not be needed," Luna blissfully stated, a smiled stretched across her face that was usually hidden from her subjects. Bon Bon rose up to the usual standing position. She felt timid at the sheer sight of The Princess of The Night yet could not express it properly. At the moment, Luna acted like a generous pony instead of her usual by the book, stern, loud, and brooding self.
"I wish thou the best of luck with your...partner." Luna slowly vanished back into the reality.
Bon Bon yell, "Thank you, your highness!" as loud as she could.
Luna, still fading couldn't help but giggle at the reaction but still responded with a simple, "Your welcome." Luna completely disappeared from the dream realm. Bon Bon followed after, closing her eyes and slowly fading from the imaginary world she and Lyra had created. The house and the world around melted into darkness as she disappeared from sight leaving a blank canvas for the next night of dreaming.
The morning came as Princess Celestia raised the sun to its right position in the sky to welcome the new day upon her subjects. The day started with the pegasi led by Rainbow Dash moving the clouds into position over Ponyville for the partly cloudy forecast. The earth pony started planting seeds for the new harvest needed for the upcoming winter which was a few months away now that more clouds were forming in the sky. The unicorn aided both sides with their magic to keep on schedule for the new season. Within hours the entire town of Ponyville had become busy with the exception of two marefriends who decided to stay in for the day and just hang out.
Lyra played her lyre with new confidence in her to Bon Bon, who was preparing their usual breakfast of pancakes with a side of sliced potatoes and eggs. The melodic tune was so enticing to Bon Bon that she shook her head to the rhythm of the music. Lyra smiled, knowing now of how wrong she was to believe the chaos in her head. It was now in the past where it belonged and Lyra intended to keep it that way for the sake of her relationship.
The song ended with the two sharing a passionate kiss; indescribable to most regular ponies except for the alicorn of the night watching from the shadows. This relationship allowed the alicorn to see what she missed during her banishment. Something she was hoping to see more of in their dreams from now on. "I believe thou has finally faced thou fears. Wouldn't you agree?"
