//-------------------------------------------------------// A Land That Wrath Never Knew -by jblan1016- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Beginning //-------------------------------------------------------// The Beginning "How can he be... so powerful...?" Chakravartin said, surprised at the strength of Asura. "I.. am the only God..." somehow pulling himself up, Chakravartin charged at Asura and swung his fist directly into Asura's face. Unlike his previous attempt it pushed back Asura but his small victory was short lived. Quickly recovering, Asura reached up and grabbed Chakravartins fist. He slowly pried it of his face and crushed it in his hand, damaging the already cracked arm more. "That's why..."Asura began."I pray to no one!" he yelled, swinging his gold-clad fist into Chakravartin's stomach."Nor will I be prayed to!" Asura screamed, launching a fist straight into the"True Gods" jaw knocking him into the air."But... above all else..."Asura said, stomping his foot into the ground. "I will never"Asura continued, becoming more enraged than he already was. "Forgive you" he said preparing for another punch."FOR MAKING MY DAUGHTER CRY!"Asura ran and flung a full forced punch into Chakravartins face. The impact was enough to release the orb that contained Mithra. As Chakravartin landed, the orb rolled to the sidelines and expanded, freeing her from her prison. Asura was so focused on killing the creator he didn't seem to notice Mithra being free. As Chakravartin pulled himself up from another devastating strike, the only thing he said was "This is not my destiny...". Asura, fueled by his rage yelled out "This is your end!" and charged forward for the killing blow. "Wait!" Mithra cried running in between The Creator and Asura. Asura was able to stop just before hitting Mithra. "If you kill him all the mantra will be lost" said Mithra, trying to convince her father to stop."Without mantra you cannot survive-" she pleaded. Asura didn't listen, he charged past her saying one last thing "But, you will still live". However the time that Mithra had stopped Asura gave Chakravartin enough time to play one last trick. "Now die!" Asura yelled as he launched his fist, prepared to end this once and for all. "Not happening." came his response as Chakravartin rolled to the side. Asura struck the pure whiteness of the pocket dimension. It cracked, quickly spreading hairline black cracks in a wide area. He tried to recover but his fist was glued to where it struck. Suddenly the white wall gave way, collapsing inward and pulling Asura with it. He spun around and saw Chakravartin looking through the hole. He raised a hand and waved, saying the last thing Asura heard from him,"Bye-bye!". But while he was still in earshot he heard him muttering about a "Not enough stalling" and "random dimension". Soon after the open space where Asura fell through closed and Asura drifted off. After awhile in the pitch black nothingness Asura fell into a comatose state. He had no idea that his greatest foe had set him off onto another journey. Asura awoke and quickly pulled himself to his feet ready to strike that God with all his power. But what he saw was a clear blue sky, lush green grass, and trees surrounding him. "What is this place?" he wondered to himself. After a little moment of thought he decided that it must be another one of Chakravartins illusions. He walked over to a tree and planted a firm punch. The tree let out a creak at the force, but unlike The Creators massive golden idol, it didn't shatter like glass. Asura realized that before when he fell through that hole in the pocket dimension, he heard Chakravartin saying something about "random dimension". That bastard sent him to another dimension. "It's not possible" Asura muttered. "He was on the verge of death, he couldn't have done this!" Asura said louder, with more of his wrathful energy flowing from his body. Then he remembered when he was stopped by his daughter. Could that little bit of time have been enough to do this? Asura couldn't hold back his rage, his entire form was engulfed in orange mantra, his hands turned more into claws than hands. He could just see the massive hand of pure mantra that formed from the right side of his back as it hung over him. Soon after another one appeared under his right arm. "No" he thought, "I will not lose myself to this again.". Channeling all his energy into his three right fists, he thrust them skyward. An massive blast of mantra that could be seen for miles launched into the sky. Asura felt his wrathful mantra start to calm and saw the two massive arms slowly shrink away. After he recovered from nearly giving in to the power he looked out from his little clearing. He saw that he was on a trail that lead to a small village, and farther off he could see a much larger castle built into the side of a mountain. He looked back down to the village and saw that there were people going up the trail, they almost looked like... horses? There appeared to be six of them with purple in the front, blue flying above her, and followed by pink who was bouncing along, orange, white, then yellow who was trailing behind. Now that they were closer they were definitely horses, but they seemed a lot smaller than the ones from Gaea. Despite the odd coloring and the flying blue one they seemed like pretty normal horse- wait... are they talking? "Come on, for all we know that orange light we saw could be something completely harmless" said the blue one. "And how likely is that, considering almost anything out of the ordinary is usually something trying to destroy Ponyville" the purple horse responded. "Whatever, just get it over quick, I have some flying to do." she retorted. "You have to keep an open mind Twilight, for all we know it's another super smarty magical unicorn like you were. They could be looking for friends!" said the bouncy pink one. "Ah think Twilight is right, seein' that it worried the princesses it can be anythin' but good" said the orange one. Finally they walked up and spotted Asura. The purple one who seemed to be Twilight walked up to him. "Who are you and why are you here?" she said, getting straight to the point. "I am Asura" came her reply,"And I would not be here if I was not forced here by him". "What are you? I have never seen anything like that except in... the human world." she said growing quieter as she made that revelation. "How is that possible I thought the portal was only for Equestrians, but that magic just now." her mental gears started turning as she thought how this was possible. Before she could ask anything more, the pink one jumped up to Asura. "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! Is it true what Twilight says, that you're here to destroy Ponyville? Cause if not I'll have to get a welcome party together andtelleveryonethatwearehavingapartyandbakethefoodandgetthedecorationsand-" before she could go on longer a much larger dark blue pony appeared in a flash of blue light. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 "Twilight! You must come quickly, Celestia is in trouble and- who and what is that?" Luna said, pointing her hoof at Asura. "That's Asura, he is the stallion who shot that giant magic beam into the sky." Twilight responded. "However, since he hasn't tried to attack us, he is either smarter than what usually attacks or not trying to hurt anypony." "Very well but WHAT is he?" Luna questioned. "He is an ummmm... what are you, Asura?" Twilight asked. "I am one of The Eight Guardian Generals, a demigod." Asura answered. "So, you are partially a god?" Luna asked, seeming more interested in him than before. Suddenly her horn started glowing a faint blue and Asura felt a slight pressure around his arm. Without him trying, his arm was slowly lifted up with the same aura Luna's horn was glowing. He decided to try and move it around, with minimal effort the blue glow was dispelled and his arm was in his control again. Luna however tried again, her horn glowing a darker blue. Asura felt more pressure on his arm and had to move a bit more to make it dissipate. Luna seemed surprised at the fact that he didn't seem like he was even trying. Finally, her horn glowed a deep blue similar to her coat of fur and Asura felt even more pressure on his arm and felt even more annoyed at this disallowed scrutiny. He clenched his fist and pulled his arm back, instantly destroying the navy blue field around his arm. "You are quite strong, and you mean no harm to Ponyville?" Luna asked. "I cannot stand to see innocent people suffer." Asura said, remembering the ruthless murder The Seven Deities had done, all for some "Great Rebirth". "Very well, I am Princess Luna." she said, holding a hoof out. Asura held out his hand and shook it. "Oh, yes as I was saying Celestia is in trouble!" "What happened!?" Twilight half-shouted. "Well, you know how I had Nightmare Moon? This is the equivalent to that, but much more powerful" Luna answered. "But ah thought that Nightmare Moon was made from you feelin' that nopony appreciated yer' night" The orange pony asked. "That is right Applejack, however sisters version was formed from her anger and stress, she called herself Solar Flare" Luna said. "Back when we defeated Discord for the first time, Celestia had a lot of extra work. Even though his chaotic creations were undone, their damage was not. It also seemed that Discords magic had affected Celestia. Eventually she snapped, encasing herself in an orange ball of pure energy. It was as hot as the very sun she brought up every day. At the strike of noon it exploded, releasing Solar Flare, she stopped the sun from continuing its regular course. I was barely able to talk her out of it, suffering major burns in the process. This time, it is different before she experienced physical changes such as her coat getting a slight orange tint or losing her patience quicker. At the same time that first burst of magic appeared she ran up to the tallest tower and when the second from Asura was launched she encased herself in the magic orb." Luna finished her story. "It is getting close to noon now, we better hurry!" Twilight said, looking upward. "Okay, Twilight, you take Pinkie Pie and Rarity and I will take Fluttershy and Applejack. Rainbow Dash you can fly up to Canterlot before noon, correct?" Luna asked looking over to the flying one. "Of course!" she replied "Now, Asura I do not see any wings on you and you are too big to take with. Shall I call a chariot?" Luna asked. "That will not be necessary." Asura said, looking up to the castle built into the mountains. "That is Canterlot?" he asked pointing up to it. "That is correct" Luna answered. "I will be up there, you can go" Asura said. The yellow pegasus, apparently Fluttershy walked over next to Luna and Applejack. While the white unicorn Rarity walked over to the bouncing Pinkie Pie and Twilight. They all disappeared in a flash of purple and blue light while Rainbow Dash flew off. Asura smirked,"Piece of cake" he said. He walked forward, slowly picking up speed until he was at a sprint. He jumped up into the air and slammed his fist into the ground. His godly powers certainly weren't gone. As he tilted his body forward, the mantra flowed into his fist, amplifying his strength as he pushed harder into the earth. Forcing his arm forward even more, he launched off towards the pristine castle in the mountains. Author's Note Team Asura blasting off agaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnn *twinkle* //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Asura was rocketing towards the castle at speeds that not even Rainbow Dash could match. He glanced down to see a rainbow streak under him but soon enough it was gone, lost behind him.He could've sworn he heard her yelling out "HOW!?" as he headed higher up and closer to Canterlot. He stopped his high speed launch over the city and plummeted downward. But sure enough his little drop in wouldn't go smoothly. "Large unidentified object falling at high speeds towards Canterlot!" someone yelled "Blow it out of the sky!" Asura heard a much deeper voice yell. A large purple dome surrounded the city. He could guess what that was. Soon after large boulders and bursts of energy were fired out of the dome. Asura quickly decimated any boulders headed towards him and avoided any energy blasts. "Target seems to be intelligent, what should we do sir?" he heard the voice from before. "Send in the pegasi." the deep voice said. Sure enough, pegasi of all colors sporting golden armor and spears flew out of the dome towards Asura. He rolled to the side dodging a few and then catching the spear of another troop. He looked the pegasus straight in the eyes before flinging him away. He heard shouts behind him and looked back to see the group from before charging in again. He grabbed a spear in each hand before throwing them back at their other comrade. He was nearing the shield, Asura quickly pulled back his fist and swung it forward before he smacked into the magic dome. It cracked like glass and he fell through, landing right in the middle of a street. He looked up to see Luna and the others galloping towards him. "Why did you destroy our shield?!" Luna yelled at Asura. "I was planning to land but didn't expect them to try and block me out." he said back. "Okay, lets just get up to the tower, the shield will repair over time" Luna said, turning around. Before they could set off for the castle, Rainbow Dash landed near them. "Asura. That. Was. TOTALLY AWESOME!" she yelled as she jumped and hovered near them. "I never knew anypony who could break a magic barrier with their bare hooves" she looked down to Asura's hand. "Or whatever those are. But as if that wasn't cool enough, you destroyed a barrier made by the Royal Guard, while fighting off those pegasi!" "I will do anything to save innocent people." Asura responded. "ahem" Luna got their attention. "We should get going". They entered the castle while still getting strange looks over to Asura. Finally they reached the highest tower. "Halt, no entry allowed." the guards stepped in front of the door. "I am Princess Luna and I demand you step aside" Luna said, trying to keep a brave face. "We apologize princess, but this is a direct order from Celestia herself not to let anypony into here. ANYPONY" the unicorn guard explained. Asura stepped past Luna. "Well I'm no pony" he said, leaning over the guard. "No entry allowed" the guards said looking into the pure white eyes of Asura. "Let me through" Asura growled. "Is that a threat?" the guard asked. "If it is?" Asura responded. The unicorns horn lit up pale yellow and so did the handle of his sword. He held it up towards Asura. Asura just continued standing there, waiting for the unicorn to strike. The unicorn swung back his sword over his head and brought it down. Asura struck the blade head on. Slowly, the pale yellow aura faded around the sword before clattering to the ground and shattering. "W-what?" the guard stepped back into a corner, his eyes dilating into pinpricks as he looked up to Asura. "I spent a decade training my magic a-and you just go and shatter it?" he seemed mortified at the fact Asura did that so easily. "W-what the hell are you?!" he yelled at Asura. The other guard, an earth pony, readied his spear to attack the demigod. Asura pulled back his fist, intent to smash the guards face in. Before either could strike a blue aura lit up the guard and he slid aside before collapsing on the floor, unconscious. "You shouldn't go around punching ponies." Luna said in a scolding tone before walking towards the door. She pushed it open to reveal the room with that contained Celestia. Inside was a large circular room with windows around the whole room. It had a large painting of the sun on the floor, and in the middle was a large, orange ball of pure energy glowing with the fury of the sun. "What should we do? Just wait for her to become Solar Flare!?" Twilight asked, very worried about the princess. "I will not stand for another evil to be brought into the world." Asura said, before charging at the sphere and jumping towards it. He launched his fist forward but before it could hit, the orb exploded launching Asura away. It shattered the last remnants of the vajra metal on his arms. The shards clattered onto the ground before dissipating in the blueish-green light that always accompanied the destruction of something godly. Landing back on his feet he saw this "Solar Flare". Her mane looked like it had been lit aflame, with blood red eyes to match. Her coat was a darker red. Her hooves had some kind of gold guards that matched her chest armor. She was much larger than Luna and just about matched Asura. "Ah, it has been solong since I got out." she said in a voice that scared almost everypony and pissed off Asura to no end. The last time he had heard that voice was from Deus, he thought he was better than everyone and everything. That those mortals were nothing but a way to become stronger. Before he could do anything, Luna ran past him and hugged Solar Flare. "Please sister, this isn't you. Come back. Please...." she started sobbing. Solar Flare seemed to calm, her mane started to die down from wildly floating to a smooth wave, her coat seemed to get a slight white glow. Those changes didn't last, Solar Flare had a crazed grin on her face as her horn lit up. Luna was hit with a flaming blast, and slid away from her sister. Solar Flare walked towards her, slowly with her horn still glowing. She stopped in front of her, creating a sword out of that same orange energy that the sphere was made of. She swung it down towards Luna. It was stopped by Asura, holding it up with his now bare arm. "Is this how you treat your own sister?" he said, pushing the sword upwards and away from the cowering princess of night. "You are not fit to be a sister." pushing the sword farther up, Solar Flare's eyes widened before her horn glowed a darker orange and the sword pushed lower. "You are not fit to be a ruler!" He said with even more anger in his heart. Solar Flare pushed the sword farther down with her magic, the tile floor started to crack and shards were blown away from the sheer force that the two gods were producing. "YOU ARE NOT FIT TO BE GOD! Asura yelled as he swung his free arm back. It was enveloped in a glowing light, when it faded his arm was covered in the vajra metal that it had before. He launched it into the orange blade, causing it to break and quickly disappear. "You will not stand in my way!" Solar Flare yelled, and orange glow appeared around Asura before he was launched through the roof. Spreading her wings, she quickly followed suit. Asura had angered another godly being, and their fight had begun. Author's Note Asura, you really have some bad anger issues... but thats what makes you awesome. So, continue with the beatdown. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Before he knew it, Asura was airborne. Feeling the tight grip release from around his body, he spun around to face towards the ground. As he prepared to launch back down, he was impacted by what he saw as an orange blur. As he recovered from the burning attack, he turned to face what hit him. He saw Solar Flare floating about twenty feet away from the god of wrath, slowly flapping her burning wings. "Is that all you can handle? You seemed so cocky earlier, we actually expected a challenge. Oh well, I guess I will get rid of my sister and those elements and burn away this land." She started to grin."All hail the Solar Princes-no, all hail theSolar Queen!" the sun god started to laugh. realizing just how close her dream was. "I am the one god to rule this world, and there is nopony to stop m-" Solar Flare was suddenly cut off by a high speed projectile striking her in the barrel. "What in Equestria was that?" she looked back over to Asura and found the demigod extending his fist, pointing towards her. "I will not stand for this." Asura was absolutely burning with anger. Swinging his other fist forward, he launched another fist-shaped blast towards Solar Flare, catching her straight in the muzzle. He started to rapidly punch the air, pummeling the sun god with his wrathful mantra. As he pulled back his final blast, through the smoke he saw a single light. As the smoke cleared, Asura saw the light was coming from the tip of Solar Flare's horn. Before he could move, the light suddenly grew brighter and started launching orbs of magic at him. They about matched his mantra blasts in speed but they packed much more of a punch. Asura was thrown around like a ragdoll as each blast curved towards him. Eventually the blasts ended leaving Asura falling back towards Canterlot. "No, but you will die for it" the solar queen said as her horn started glowing with a much larger light. She launched a beam of energy towards Asura. He glanced behind him, seeing the massive city of Canterlot below him, he couldn't move or else the city had no chance of being saved. He could do only one thing. Spreading both his arms out wide he braced for the attack. The beam was devastating, it quickly engulfed Asura and continued heading towards the city. As it came closer and closer to hitting, it seemed to slow down. A small red dot, barely visible to anypony was at the head of the blast. Asura took the beam full force and was stopping it. As he smashed into the deserted streets of Canterlot, he pushed the blast to a stalemate. As he held it off, one image came to mind: Mithra. He let out a deep growl of anger, remembering why he was fighting. He will save her, he will stop her tears, he will see her happy again, even if he dies for it. As he pushed back the blast, it seemed lighter, easier to move. His wrathful mantra had taken effect. He swung one of his vajra covered arms back, and shot it forward again, releasing one of his strongest projectiles yet. It pushed through the center of the orange energy beam, breaking through it. Sure enough, Asura heard a grunt of pain as the last remnants of the beam dispersed. He got ready to launch himself into the air again but was caught off guard by a much more powerful energy blast than the barrage earlier. As he looked up, guessing there to be more incoming, instead he saw Solar Flare charging up a massive energy orb. It would be strong enough to level the entire city with ease. Before she launched the orb the size of a large house, she yelled out "For there to be rebirth there must be destruction!". The orb fell slowly towards the city, looking like the sun itself was falling to Equestria. Asura jumped up onto the buildings heading about to where the impact site would be. Glancing up, he saw it was aiming towards the same tower where the battle began. He launched himself up the side of the tower, already skilled from his experiences in Naraka. As he landed on the top, the orb was nearing the tower. As it was closing in, Asura prepared himself to catch it. It was finally in arms reach. Asura planted one hand to it, and another, and another. As three more arms landed onto the colossal attack, Asura now pushing with more than six times the force, shoved the orb forward and stopped its slow but powerful drop. As it ground to a halt, Asura started to mercilessly pounded on it with his six arms. After a mere fifteen seconds of continuous attacks, the orb exploded into an orange wave of energy that didn't harm anything or anypony. Asura launched himself back up to the stunned solar queen. "Who ever asked for rebirth?" Asura said as he swung his three right fists into the chin of Solar Flare. "Who said this world would have to change for your plans?" he brought down two fists onto her head shooting her straight into the earth. "Who claims that you have almighty power, that you can kill anyone for your own gain, that your grand idea is all that matters?!" grabbing onto her horn, Asura slammed her onto the ground. "Just because you are a god, doesn't mean everyone bends to your will!" he flung her into the air, expecting her to come crashing down. However, she was able to regain balance and recover on the ground. She let out a scream of rage. "I am stronger than any and everypony in this land, I should decide what to do! I should choose how they live, how they think, how they work! I am their god, and if I want to start over for the better than I will!" she fired a multitude of much stronger blasts, greater than her previous small attacks. Asura shielded himself with his arms as he ran towards her. As he closed in some of two of his arms shattered, but he charged onwards. He felt his other right arm give way and his left one crack. As he reached her, he used his cracked arm to strike her straight on the muzzle, shattering the arm. Before she could spread her wings and escape, Asura jumped up, grabbing onto one of her back hooves and slammed her back down. She spun around and fired one final blast, breaking off the vajra coating of his two remaining arms. He planted his fist straight into her barrel and focused his mantra into the other. He swung it back and launched it forward, connecting with her horn. She screamed in both pain and rage as a dark orange mist seeped from the crack. As this happened, her coat returned to its usual white color and her burning mane change to its soothing waving flow. She muttered one thing before falling unconscious. "Thank you...". The orange mist quickly materialized into a small orange crystal and released a wave of orange energy, before landing into the garden. Asura was hit by that energy and collasped next to the now free Celestia, and the sun resumed its normal cycle. Author's Note Sorry about the wait, I had family over and overall I kinda started....being a lazy ass.:facehoof: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/facehoof.png But I'll try to pop out chapters more often. And trust me, Asura The Destructor(the form, not the person) will make an appearance, maybe not soon, but he will.
