Chapter 2: Reserved For Parakarry
"Wake up! Wake up!"
"You sure he's still 'live, Twi?"
"Of course! Wait, he's waking up!"
My eyes opened as slowly as they did this morning. I saw six ponies and one dragon. I'm sure you know who they are, but I don't. My shell was still there, and my wings were still there. But my bag, hat, and goggles were in possession of a white unicorn. I got up and ran to the mare. "Um...may I have my stuff back?" I asked her nervously. The pony blushed. "O-of course.." she answered. I put my hat and goggles on and put my bag around myself.
A purple alicorn ran up to me at introduced herself. "I'm Tara, but you can call me Twilight." Twilight told me. The white unicorn from earlier introduced herself, and everyone else did too. Their names were Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Spike, Fluttershy, and Applejack. I bowed. "I'm Parakarry!" I stated. Pinkie Pie seemed more than excited to have a new friend, and told everyone (everypony?) that she was going to throw a party to celebrate.
I looked into my bag. Somehow, the red sphere was in there.
While Pinkie was preparing the party, I decided to go flying. I needed to exercise my wings for my next delivery. Rainbow Dash was flying as well. However, I was going at a reasonable speed, while Rainbow Dash was going fast. "Hi, Rainbow!" I yelled. (I yelled because I wanted her to hear me.) She stopped and quickly flew over to me. "Hey Parakarry!" she replied. "Wanna fly with me?" I answered, saying that I can't really go as fast as her. "Well, okay. I'll slow down a little bit." she answered. "I just want a flying buddy." I felt bad, so I flew as fast as I could, hoping it would get her happy. Rainbow followed, laughing.
After a few races, (Rainbow Dash won every time) Pinkie called us down for the party.
At the party, there were too many ponies for me to count. There was an equal amount of sweets lined up neatly on decorated tables. There was a special cake reserved for me. It was a vanilla cake decorated with many different colors of frosting. In the center, there was a mountain of strawberry frosting with one of those cute but fake signs that usually have "Happy Birthday" or something written on it. However, this sign said, in big capital letters, "WELCOME TO PONYVILLE!". I smiled. No one has celebrated me coming to a new place with a gigantic party. Quite the welcome, Pinkie.
The party was filled with ponies eating, dancing, and overall having a good time. The party ended, but my cake was still there. It was for the six ponies and I to enjoy.
Her Eyes Not Aligned, My Thoughts Not Aligned
Chapter 3: Eyes not Aligned
Night was drawing near.
Everypony was sleeping.
Except for one.
This pony was delivering the mail to everypony. She had a gray coat and blond mane, but her eyes were not aligned. I flew over to the pony. "Um...hi there..." I said shyly. The mare looked at me with a small smile. You could tell she was a very friendly pony. "Hi!" she replied, her smile growing. "What are you doing at this time of night?" I remembered how late it was. "Just flying around, might go to bed soon. Are you delivering mail?" I asked. The pony nodded. "Can I help?" I asked. The pony nodded again. She lifted her hoof for a hoofshake. "I'm Derpy Hooves." she stated. I held Derpy's hoof and shoke it. "I'm Parakarry."
Besides from delivering mail, Derpy and I were talking a lot.
"Have you been to the Mushroom Kingdom before?" I asked.
"Sounds familar." Derpy replied.
"You should visit sometime."
"Sounds great! Have you ever been to Equestria before now?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"I don't know. I have never heard of Equestria."
"Why not?"
"I live in the Mushroom Kingdom."
"So?"
Who knew one word would make me ponder so much. Why haven't I heard of Equestria before? More importantly, why would Princess Peach give the red sphere to me? For helping Mario save her, sure, but why me? How did Princess Peach get the sphere? But most importantly...
WHY EQUESTRIA?!
Chapter 1: Six Days of Nothing
My eyes slowly went from closed to open. I got up and let out a big yawn. Being a mailkoopa was really hard to begin with. However, I only needed to deliver mail one day per week, but even then I needed to travel through the entire Mushroom Kingdom to deliver mail. Not that I mind, but it is so tiring.
I just did my weekly duty yesterday, so I have six days until I need to do...well, anything. I could do anything I wanted to for the next six days.
I went into my closet and I was greeted with exactly what you'd expect. Clothes. I closed the door and sighed, realizing what I was looking for wasn't in there. I flew to my nightstand and opened the bottom drawer. I saw a red, glowing sphere. That's what I was looking for. Princess Peach gave this to me as a reward for helping Mario save her. Mario and his partners (which includes myself) got a present, but none of us opened our present until we each got home. You could easily tell Goombario wanted to open it the moment he got it.
Anyway, I never got to use my present before. I was going to, but I have mail delivering to do!
Picking up the sphere, I marveled at the red light it was giving off. Suddenly, it broke in two and projected an image. "Is this where you want to go?" It said. Some technology you got there, Princess! There was a text box were I could tell it where I wanted to go, but there was already text in the box. It read:
"EQUESTRIA"
Despite not even knowing where or what Equestria is, I tapped the "Yes" button out of curiousity. I hand went through, so apparently this is a hologram. A red wind surrounded me, and I was teleported.
