Author notes- This is my first fanfic ever...so yeah, I'm going to do the first two chapters and see how it does in about a week or two, and based off that, I'll see what I do with this from there.
Split Apart
Chapter 1
It was a dark day in Equestria, there were explosions and magic shots going off everywhere. Pegasus were having aerial battles all across the sky, and there were Earth Ponies fighting it out on the ground below. Rarity was resting a bit behind a pile of rubble with a dark grey stallion. His eyes were the color of the blood that trickled down his neck. He was panting, and just tossing a rock around. "One hell of battlefield out there, eh?" He said it as if it were any other normal day. Rarity smiled a bit, and rubbed some blood off her forehead. "Yeah, how do you think the others are holding up?" The stallion placed down the rock and cracked his neck a bit, "I'm sure they're fine. Rainbow Dash is supposed to alert us if anything major happens, so everything must be alright." Rarity hugged him, "I hope so." Suddenly they heard a rumble, and the barrier exploded, the stallion jumped back without realizing what was happening, and then Rarity was blasted back, as a pile of rubble fell on her. "Shit..." The pony flew down to the pile screaming, "RARITY!"
Ok wait a second, what's going on here? Well, lets go back about two months ago....
It was a beautiful spring day in Ponyville, the birds were singing, there were only a few clouds in the sky. Twilight Sparkle was in her home, reading a book as always. It was about how there could be other universes out there other than theirs, and it was assumed that if there were, the races were hostile. "Well what if they weren't..." Twilight mumbled, turning the page. Rainbow Dash was flying through the air enjoying herself. She had pulled off a few sonic rain-booms in her time, but not in a while. "Time to fix that" she said as she preformed one almost as easily as the one at the royal wedding. "HELL YEAH!" she whooped, flying back to her cloud home. Her mane was ruffled from flying at the incredible speeds she was doing, and she was about to go take a nap, but when she looked outside, she saw something she hadn't expected. "Are those.." a group of dark storm clouds was forming above Ponyville, "I didn't schedule a storm today!" she said. "When I find those pegasus..." Rarity was staring out her window as the storm clouds gathered outside. "Well that's odd, I didn't think there was going to be a storm today." Sweetie Belle was playing outside with Apple Bloom and Scootaloo. Rarity went outside to bring them in, "Come on in girls, a storm is going to be happening soon." They stopped, and Sweetie Belle complained "But Rarity-" "No buts, get in." Rarity objected, and went back in. The kids sighed and followed her in. Twilight heard thunder, and looked up from her book. "A storm? Well that can't be right." she pondered, "I'm gonna go check it out."
By this time, the clouds had blocked out the sun, and it was getting dark. Thunder was happening more frequently, and even some lightning was making an appearance. Twilight walked through town, other ponies were going inside, and closing their doors and windows. She got to the middle of town, and suddenly a large bolt of lightning struck down only a few meters from where Twilight was standing. Her mane stood on end, and it seemed the bolt was going on forever. She looked up, and she thought she saw something travel through the lightning and hit the ground where it was striking. As suddenly as it had appeared, it was gone. She stood there for a few moments, still shocked by what had happened. She then saw that the bolt had left a good sized crater. Now, the clouds were clearing up, and the ponies were coming outside to see what happened. One by one, Twilight's friends walked up to her side, and looked down into the crater. There at the bottom, lay a dark grey stallion, he had a midnight black mane and tail, and he was lying still, not moving. "Is he dead?" Pinkie asked. "I don't think so." Apple Jack said. It appeared this pony had no cutie mark, but as Twilight looked, she saw a mark in the shape of a lightning bolt appear on his flank. She saw him twitch, "Guys! He's alive, we have to get him to the hospital!" Twilight ran down into the crater and tried to move him. "AJ, Rainbow Dash, could you guys help me?" They nodded and went to help Twilight carry the mysterious lightning stallion into the hospital.
Author notes- This is the last chapter I'm doing for this so I can see how much people like it so far, if it doesn't do so well, no point in continuing.

Chapter 2
The mysterious lightning stallion woke up in a hospital bed, the walls were white, and there were six ponies standing around him. He mumbled a little bit, and he still couldn't hear much. After a few minutes, he was aware enough of his surroundings that he could speak. He smiled weakly and spoke, "I made it..." Everypony stared at him oddly. "What?" Flutter Shy asked confused. "Did he say he 'made it'?" Rainbow Dash spoke up. "What the hay does that mean?" The stallion had a somewhat deep voice, and responded. "Twilight Sparkle, Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Flutter Shy, and Rainbow Dash. I know you all. I know you may think I sound crazy, but I'm not from this world." Everypony stood dumbfounded in the room. But Twilight walked closer to him. "Did you say you don't belong to this world?" He nodded, "That's correct. I come from a place called Earth, from a different dimension then this one." By then they all wanted answers. "What do you mean?" "Are you gonna eat our brains?" "Your people are gonna kill us aren't they?!" The stallion chuckled, "Allow me to explain..." He went on to explain the concept of MLP:FiM and bronies in his world. He had been working on a portal into this world for a while, but he hadn't expected to enter like he did. The ponies were a little more relaxed, but still confused. "I suppose I shouldn't use my human name while in this form..." Twilight smiled and said, "How about Lightning?" She pointed to his cutie mark. "Huh, I didn't even notice that. Sure, lets go with Lightning."
Celestia and Luna were having an other one of their more common fights. "We need to do this!" Luna was yelling. "No, it's to dangerous! We are NOT going to try and find more worlds to inhabit!" Luna was furious, "But our population is growing, and our amount of land is shrinking, we need to find more space!" Celestia was trying to stay as calm as she could, but her sister was so ignorant. "I promises I will think of something, but we aren't going to be looking through other worlds for the solution!" At that moment, Cadence ran it. "Luna, I have just received knowledge that a space portal has just been opened, and something has come through it." Luna had put her in charge of monitoring Equestria for any possibilities that an opening to an other world was available. Celestia had agreed to this, but rather resentfully. Celestia and Luna stopped in mid argument and looked up. Luna was smiling, but Celestia looked rather frightened. "It opened above Ponyville, but it looks like it has closed now." Luna's smile diminished a bit, but then something occurred to her. "Didn't you say something came through it?" Cadence shook her head. "I'm not sure, it appeared that something did, but I can't be to sure. Why don't you go check it out?" Celestia face-hoofed, and Luna was up already, "Get a chariot, we're heading to Ponyville!" She looked over at her sister. "Are you coming?" Celestia glared at Luna, but after much thought, she stepped up beside her sister.
