Chapters Author's Note
In this chapter, we see some Slice of Life! I just wanted to point out why that tag is there.
Also, I'm gonna try to make these chapters 1000 words long each, so enjoy all the words!
At The Hospital
A sleeping Twilight was rushed to the hospital as fast as Rainbow could fly. After getting the hospital ponies to Twilight, they said that she needed to get there as soon as possible. For Rainbow, that was the same as telling her to fly her there. As soon as the doctors said this, Rainbow was already throwing Twilight onto her back, and flying off to the hospital again. The wind rushed through her wings as she flapped as fast and hard as she could. She needed to get to the hospital, and as long as Rainbow was the Element of Loyalty, she would rush her there. Though, for some reason - Rainbow Dash couldn't figure out why- Twilight's back felt strange.
Ok, so I don't know where I am. Now what do I do?
All I know, is that I'm in some starry land. I don't know where this land is, or if it's dangerous. This really isn't the best situation. So, what happened for me to get here? I was blasted by the Elements of Harmony after I finished Starswirl's Spell...
No... I can't be...
No. I'm not dead. I feel like I'm alive. If I listen closely, I can hear my breaths. I can control them, too. But I don't try to. I tried holding my breath in here, and something weird happened. It was like I was forced to breathe. Probably not the best idea then. But, if I'm not dead, then... Am I asleep? In a coma, maybe?
Well, I just learned that I'm dreaming, so I can control the dream now! I can pretend that everything is fine! Like... I can write a letter to Princess Celestia! And now a quill, some ink, and a scroll have appeared, simply because I asked the dream to make them exist. Amazing!
Everything seemed fine with Twilight, despite the fact that she was asleep. Her heartbeat was fine, and her health was also normal. The only thing that worried her friends was the sudden moment when Twilight stopped breathing. It was like everpony's heartbeat had stopped, along with time, until a doctor immediately cast a spell to get her breathing again. The spell was only for emergencies, and the Element of Magic suddenly not breathing was definitely an emergency. The five friends breathed a sigh of relief when she started breathing again, but though they were relieved, it barely did anything to help them feel better.
"Will she be okay, Doc?" Pinkie asked slowly, terrified of the answer.
"I... I don't know," the doctor said,"I've never seen anything like this, and if it was done by a spell, I don't know enough about magic to understand."
"Oh my..." Fluttershy said quietly, with a small whimper at the end of her sentence.
"I may not know much about magic too, but I will do anything to help my dear friend." Rarity said, confidence filling her words. "I will be at the library. I want to find any kind of book about magic or health that will help Twilight." Rarity walked out the door, and trotted to the library.
"I'd better go help," Rainbow said,"I might not be a unicorn, but Rarity will need help searching for books."
"No Rainbow, ya'll better stay here. I'll go help Rarity with the books and all that, but if somethin' happens, I reckon ya'll are the fastest way to get the news to us." Applejack said, as she galloped after Rarity.
Rainbow was going to follow anyways, and then realized what Applejack had said. "Yeah, I guess she's right..." she said, landing back on the ground with a small sound from her hooves. The three friends stared at their sleeping friend with worry stuck on their faces. They hoped that Twilight would get better, or that Applejack and Rarity would find something to help. Anything for their friend.
Hearing fast hoofsteps behind her, Rarity turned around to see who was following her. "Rarity!" Applejack yelled from somewhere behind Rarity, galloping towards her as fast as she could.
"Applejack, darling, why did you follow me?" Rarity said. Suddenly, she gasped. "Is something wrong with Twilight?!"
"No, Rarity," Applejack said, already seeing relief on Rarity's face,"I came to help ya'll with the spells and things to save Twilight."
"You're not a unicorn, darling!" Rarity said to her, giving her a confused, slightly annoyed look,"How in Equestria would you help without being a unicorn?!"
Applejack made her own annoyed face as she spoke. "There are other ways I can help without being a unicorn, Rarity." She shot her an angry look,"Don't be racist, now."
"RACIST?!" Rarity shouted angrily,"I am not being racist , I was asking you a question about magic!" She said the word 'racist' like it was dirt in her mouth that she wanted to spit out.
"Well, Rarity, I'm gonna help ya'll find some books that'll help the situation! Is that enough help for you!?"
"Yes, yes it is, not let's get to Twilight's library without SCREAMING mean words at eachother!" Rarity finished with a 'hmph' sound, and angrily trotted towards the library. Then Applejack realized what Rarity had said.
"Rarity, I'm sorry. We're all worried about Twilight, and it's makin' us super upset about things that don't matter. Let's just stop arguin' and help our friend."
Rarity stopped, and looked at Applejack. She was right. They needed to stop arguing over silly things like that. "I'm sorry too, Applejack." she responded and smiled. Together, they galloped to the library to find something that could help.

Letters
The doctor stared at the sleeping Twilight, worried.
Her friends had gone home for the night. It was getting late anyways. He had been running as many tests as possible, but he didn't understand. She seemed perfectly healthy...
...though it had become clear that she wasn't.
Applejack and Rarity had decided that they weren't going to sleep tonight.
They would try as hard as they could to help their sleeping friend okay, and trying as hard as they could meant only enough sleep to understand the words on the pages and not pass out. It was Applejack's turn to take a 20-minute nap, and it was over. Rarity shoved Applejack awake.
"Ughhh... I'll get up, I guess," Applejack said, a little grumpy due to being tired and worried,"but only for Twilight."
"You know we have to do this, Applejack," Rarity said with a yawn, her being tired herself,"We must help Twilight. We'll do anything we can to help her."
Rarity and Applejack had been searching through books ever since they had gotten to the library. Applejack had crashed through the door, and immediately began looking at book titles to find the magical ones. She found three when they entered, four counting the book that Twilight had finished Starswirl's Spell in. Now, there were twenty magic books and seven health books stacked into piles.
Applejack picked up a new health book and began reading. Her reading magic books wouldn't help very much. Rarity, however, picked up two new magic books to read. It gave her a headache, seeing all kinds of fancy spells she didn't know almost anything about, but she knew it would help Twilight somehow.
"At this rate, whatever Twilight has is gonna end up without any kind of cure." Applejack said. She immediately regretted it.
"APPLEJACK! No, she will be fine! We will find a cure! We will..." Rarity yelled at Applejack, though every time she said they would find a cure, her confidence that they would faded more and more.
This is amazing! I'm glad I figured out I was dreaming, I can do so many new things!
I can cast new spells nopony has thought of! And I am the only pony strong enough to cast them!
I can even discover new lands here! By simply thinking about it hard enough, I have created a small, floating island! Like, floating, in the sky! There's a tree on this island, and blue-green grass, and it's name is Sparkle! Named after me, like every cool new thing anypony has invented or found!
I think I'll- AHHH! What is that?! Get it away! Go away! Go! Go go go no no no go go go no no- it's gone. I... what even was that? It wasn't even a thing, it was just... a sound! A terrifyingly loud sound! It sounded like I was suddenly teleported to the loudest waterfall in the universe! It was familiar though... almost like my mind was turning a feeling or emotion into a sound, and I recognize that. But if I try to dig deeper and find what it's supposed to be... UGH! Okay, don't do that, Twilight. Your mind will break if you try harder then that.
The next morning, the five friends were all called to the hospital, and they were told that the Princess would be there too. They all were extremely worried when they heard it was bad enough to call Princess Celestia.
Rainbow Dash was there first, of course. She didn't even read the whole letter. She read for a bit, saw the word "Princess Celestia" and "Hospital", and was there in the blink of an eye.
Next was Applejack. She got the letter, read through almost all of it, and galloped towards the hospital as fast as she could go.
Pinkie Pie followed. She got the letter, read through all of it, screamed "WHAT?!" and ran as fast as she could to the hospital. Technically, she got there second and Applejack got there third, but that was because, though Pinkie got the letter third, Pinkie had some strange way of doing whatever she wanted however she wanted, including bending physics. She ran as fast as Rainbow Dash flew, causing her to whip past Applejack on her way there.
Rarity woke up to a letter in her face. Once she read what it said, she trotted as fast as she could to the hospital.
Fluttershy was last. She looked at the letter, and her eyes widened. She read it three more times before actually leaving, and even then she flew slowly.
Dear __________, We regret to inform you that you must get to the hospital for your friend, Twilight Sparkle. She is showing strange, unknown symptoms, and we thought to inform you. The Princess will be there, as she is a friend of Twilight as well.
~Ponyville Hospital
Princess Celestia was shocked.
She had gotten a letter telling her that Twilight was in the hospital, and wasn't doing well. She didn't know what to do. The only thing she knew that she was going to do, was go there. She took a deep breath in, and a deep breath out. Normally, she didn't need to do something like that. But 'normally', wasn't Twilight being in the hospital with almost no warning, and being told that she wasn't doing okay. The only warning Celestia had, was giving Twilight Starswirl's book. She had hoped Twilight wouldn't cast it, because it was unknown what the spell could do. She even told her this in the letter. And yet, there was a large surge of magic one night, and then an even stronger one the next afternoon. Had Twilight cast it, and then fixed it? Celestia wouldn't be surprised, but she was scared for what it might have done.
Finally, Celestia couldn't take it. She got up, and told her guards that she was headed to Ponyville.
Princess Celestia, You may be needed at the Ponyville Hospital. Your student, Twilight Sparkle, is unconscious in the hospital, and isn't doing okay.

Oh, also, this is as close to a thousand words as I can get. I'm counting it as a thousand, okay!?
Dangerous
Rainbow Dash sat impatiently in the waiting room, rocking her chair. She needed to see Twilight.
She jumped as a streak of pink and magenta ran through the hospital doors and landed next to her. Pinkie Pie was hyperventilating, trying to keep herself from running straight into the room Twilight was in.
Applejack arrived after, doing the same as Pinkie, but slower, and breathing normally.
"Do ya'll think she's okay?" Applejack said in between breaths. She hadn't stopped at all, and was galloping as fast as she could, so it would be normal for her to seem this tired.
"I... I don't know," Rainbow said quickly,"I didn't even read the whole letter before getting my flank over here."
They sat in silence as Rarity walked in. Then Fluttershy fluttered in. Still, there was silence.
They were very quiet until the doctor there said that they could come in. He said it very nervously. "The Princess is in here already, if you were wondering."
They trotted towards Twilight's room. "Is... she okay, Doc?" Applejack said slowly. She hoped Twilight was okay.
"I don't know. We haven't seen anything like this, and it doesn't look good. Definitely not good."
Applejack swallowed hard and walked into the room. The first thing the girls saw was Princess Celestia, looking sad, worried, shocked, and scared, all at the same time.
Then they saw Twilight. A gasp echoed from all five ponies.
Twilight did not look okay.
It was her back. She was laying on her stomach, and as she breathed, she shivered, as if it hurt to do so. Her back had lots of lost fur on it. There were two large patches where fur was supposed to be, but wasn't. And in the middle of the patches...
"T-T-T-T-Twilight?!" Pinkie shrieked, running to her injured friend.
In the middle of the patches, there were two sticks, attempting to poke out from underneath Twilight's flesh, stretching it more then it could handle. They were short, but it was very noticeable. The stretched skin could barely stretch at all, but due to the way the sticks were placed, the skin was forced to, creating bloody scars where the skin ripped. They bled like she had hit her head hard enough to bleed, except on her back.
"Oh... my goodness." Fluttershy half-whimpered half-spoke. It was almost too quiet for anypony to hear.
"Is... is... she okay?" Rainbow Dash said, stuttering in fear. Normally she wouldn't, but her friends being hurt like this was the only thing she truly feared.
"We don't know. She is bleeding, and there is something wrong with her back, but no matter how many tests we do, they always come up saying she's healthy. We don't know what to do."
"Why don't you help her?! Stop the bleeding! Pushed those sticks away!" Rainbow yelled, getting aggressive over the fact that they hadn't saved her injured friend. As she said this, Twilight's skin over the sticks tore a bit more. Rainbow looked at her, horrified, as the new tear began to bleed.
"We... tried that. In short, it didn't go well." The doctor said, now seeming afraid that Rainbow would force him to 'help' Twilight.
His thoughts were correct. "DO IT ANYWAY! I want to see what happens, I want my friend to be safe, you will help her and you're not leaving the hospital until you do!" Rainbow shouted back, shoving him towards Twilight and throwing doctor equipment into his hooves.
He sighed. He put on a stethoscope that was thrown to him by Dash, and lit his horn. His magic grasped Twilight's sticks. The doctor grunted with effort as he gently pushed the sticks down a bit.
Everypony screamed as Twilight's horn lit, and she flailed around, hitting the doctor hard in the face with her hooves. Her magic made everything in the room swirl around her like a tornado, and her own magic lifted her into the air. Pinkie shrieked as Twilight picked her up as well. Even her own magic swirled around her, effected by the storm.
Then everything was still. Twilight fell back down onto the bed, landing on her stomach. She continued to shiver-breathe. Everything her magic once held fell to the floor, including the doctor and Pinkie, who had also been picked up. They made an 'oof' sound as they hit the ground.
"And that," the doctor said, getting up off the floor,"is why we don't help her. It's too dangerous."
I created a whole universe in here!
It really is a pretty good place. I worry what's going on outside of my own head, but I'll be fine! The strange rushing sound came back a couple more times, but I think it's gone for good, whatever it is!
Anyways, I created a whole world! A planet! I don't know what to name it, but it'll be fine without a name! I've learned that the only thing I can't change in this place is the sky and the rushing sound. I can even change the strength of my magic! I can- OH, NOT AGAIN! GO AWAY, STUPID SOUND! WHAT...ARE...YOU! What?! Oh, it's gone now, but... I just learned something about the rushing sound... I wish I didn't. I'm suddenly worried about what's going on outside my dream here. I knew I recognized that my brain was turning something like an emotion into the rushing sound, but... not this one.
While searching through my mind during the sound, I realized what feeling it was trying to be...
Pain.
"Oh, Twilight..." Celestia said, running to her sleeping student and hugging her, making sure not to touch the strange sticks in her back. She began to cry, hugging her faithful student tight.
Suddenly, a bang and a roar filled the air, and everypony in the room looked up, as if something would be there.
"That doesn't sound good!" shouted Rainbow Dash, immediately flying outside.
Rainbow gasped as she saw a strange monster hovering in the sky, roaring and smashing buildings. It looked like a giant blue tiger with huge fangs, two unicorn horns, and bat wings. It was a strange and terrifying sight.
"Hey you!" Rainbow Dash shouted at the creature angrily, "Come and get me!"
Rainbow then flew as far away from the hospital as possible, not wanting the creature to crush her friends. As Rainbow expected, it began to chase her. As Rainbow didn't expect, however, as it flew after her, it lit up it's horns with magic and threw things at her repeatedly.
Everypony exited the hospital to figure out what Rainbow found. They gasped as the creature threw something big at Rainbow, and it hit. Rainbow crashed onto the ground, with just enough time to make it out from underneath the object, and not get crushed.
"Get the Elements of Harmony!" Celestia said quickly, "They're our only hope!"
"We can't!" Applejack said, "We're missing an Element! With Twilight asleep, we're left... defenseless."
Everything is wrong. What have I done?
Once I figured out that the sound was pain, I began to fear what was going on so much that my dream has turned into a nightmare. My land is now named Fear. I didn't have a choice. It named itself. Now, there are monsters constantly chasing me, and I can't control the dream anymore! If only I hadn't cast the stupid Starswirl Spell, this wouldn't have happened! I wouldn't be suffering outside of my dream, and everything would be fine! I wouldn't be sleeping in the first place!
...What was that sound? Is that... singing? No no no, it's another nightmare creature... I have to run!
Lost in fear, Lost in fear, It's all your fault, It's all your fault, Your friends suffer, Your friends suffer, Without you, Without you, Your all alone, Your all alone, Left defenseless, Left defenseless, Against your own, Against your own, Fate.
Applejack helped Rainbow Dash up, and ran as fast as she could to Twilight's library. They needed the Elements. Even if Twilight was asleep, they would figure out a way to use the Elements against this creature.
Rainbow Dash, who had started flying as soon as Applejack helped her, got there first. Though she had hurt her wing, she could still fly quickly. Applejack could follow her easily, with how much her hurt wing slowed her down. Applejack appeared inside the library 12 seconds after Rainbow Dash.
"Come on, let's get the Elements!" Rainbow yelled, "Before that monster crushes Twilight's home!"
Rainbow grabbed Loyalty, Generosity, and Kindness, while Applejack grabbed Honesty, Laughter, and Magic. The two put on their Elements, and went to give the others theirs.
"I sure hope the Element of Magic works..." Applejack said, a worried look covering her face. When Applejack said it, Rainbow got worried too.
They made it back to the hospital, and shouted, "Quick! Put on the Elements!" to their friends.
Applejack stared at the sleeping Twilight, the Element of Magic in her hooves. She sighed, and gently put the magical crown on Twilight's head.
Together, the six friends went to defeat the monster. Twilight slept on Rainbow Dash's back as she flew.
All six ponies flew in front of the monster, the Elements' power giving the non-pegasi flight. All the Elements were lit. Even Twilight's was working, glowing brighter then it ever had before. As the Elements prepared to strike the monster, something terrible happened.
The monster grabbed Twilight, dragging her right up to it's face.
I don't understand what happened.
I was being chased by the singing monster as it taunted me, and then there was a bright light that got rid of the nightmares. There is a light on my head. It almost feels like I'm wearing the Element of Magic. I'm floating around in the starry sky again, and- oh no. It's the sound again! Oh no, what could possibly be so painful, oh PLEASE STOP... Woah! I think it's gone again. The Element of Magi- I mean, what I think is the Element of Magic glowed really bright then. That was strange...
The monster made a terrible mistake in grabbing Twilight.
All six friends gasped, and shouted the name of the sleeping friend. Then, they realized something.
When the monster grabbed Twilight, he bumped one of the strange sticks.
Twilight struck.
Just like last time, Twilight flailed around, kicking and hitting the monster several times, as her horn sparked. And so did the Element.
Twilight's magic was strengthened by the Element and all the others, causing the monster to be blasted by an incredible amount of magic. The monster disappeared.
All six friends gasped as Twilight changed. The sticks grew, ripping and tearing skin. Then they bent slightly, the tips of the sticks now facing downward, while the base of the sticks pointed up. Purple needles poked out of the flesh on the sticks.
Then the chaos ended, as the Elements placed everypony back on the ground, and Twilight's storm ended.
"Oh, Twilight," Applejack said, "What is going on with you..."

Wow, I had fun writing this one. To deciding what the monster looked like to singing the nightmare's song. And the monster's defeat! I just had a lot of fun.
Quick rule for the chapters! I am now allowing 900 words, because I suck at getting to 1000

I know, I know. I'm really REALLY sorry for not updating, I just, didn't know what to do!
But I have an idea now, and I'm gonna WRITE IT!
Realization
Rainbow Dash sighed.
She sat in the hospital room that Twilight slept in, scared about what might be happening to her friend. It had been three days after the monster attacked, and Ponyville was still recovering from the destruction. Applejack and Rarity barely left Twilight's library now, constantly studying without rest. Fluttershy had joined them, but she couldn't stay for long, as she had animals to care for as well.
Spike and Celestia were worried sick. Princess Celestia couldn't stay forever, as she was a princess, and had her duties. However, she could take care of Spike in Twilight's absence. Which is exactly what she did.
Pinkie Pie hasn't left Sugarcube Corner since the monster attack.
Rainbow sighed once more, looking at Twilight, who's side she refused to leave, even after visiting hours. She tried as hard as she could to figure out what was wrong with Twilight's back, and the sticks that stuck out of them.
"Twilight, what's wrong with you?"
I have no idea what happened.
But I'm chasing after my Cutie Mark, which is singing a song with no lyrics or tune, sort of telling me to follow it.
Follow me.
See?
But I would of thought it a trap... if the monsters and nightmares didn't flee from it.
They parted away, dashing out of sight, fleeing in terror when the strange, glowing Cutie mark flew through. So I followed it, and it's commands.
Follow me.
As I followed, strange things seemed to happen around me. The dark and scary forest that the nightmares lived in fades away and vanishes.
And a memory takes it's place.
The day I got my Cutie Mark.
The time I was sent to Ponyville by the Princess.
The night that my friends and I claimed the Elements of Harmony, and defeated Nightmare Moon.
All the good times we had together after that.
The fall of Discord, and Chrysalis after that.
I might not know what's happening, but right now? It doesn't seem too bad.
Rainbow Dash looked at the sticks in Twilight's back, and seemed to realize something.
It was a strange and horrible picture: Two identical sticks, bent in a strange way atop a Unicorn's back, bleeding - though a lot less than last time - from scars that formed from stretching skin, with awful dark purple needles sticking out, trying to face away from Twilight's face. The needles had smaller, lighter colored needles sticking out of them, the same color as Twilight's lavender coat.
Rainbow Dash looked at this horiible image on her friend, and wondered something.
"Why does that seem familiar..?"
Suddenly, Rainbows eyes snapped open wide, as she realized what could be happening.
"No..."
Rainbow stared at the purple needles, all facing away from Twilight, the smaller lavender ones attached being a lot softer.
"No... way..."
She stared at the exact shape of the sticks - no, bones - sticking out of Twilight's back.
"No way. NO WAY."
Rainbow flew out of the room at top speed, trying desperately to get to her friends.
Pinkie wasn't happy.
When your friend was in the hospital with sticks growing from her back, it was hard to stay smiling.
Pinkie Pie had baked cake after cake after cake, hoping it would cheer her up.
It didn't.
Suddenly, Rainbow crashed through the door to Sugarcube Corner, staring right at Pinkie.
"PINKIE! COME QUICK! TWILIGHT - COME ON!" She yelled at her.
Pinkie didn't have time to think before she was on Rainbows back, getting the others. She was very, very confused.
Applejack was woken up by the sound of wood shattering in a loud crash.
Rainbow Dash had broken through the door, calling the names of the three friends in the room as loud as she could.
"RARITY! APPLEJACK! FLUTTERSHY! IT'S TWILIGHT! COME ON!" She practically screamed at them, throwing them on her back along with their confused pink friend, Pinkie Pie.
Rainbow zoomed as fast as she could with four ponies on her back, to the Hospital.
She threw herself and all of them into the room with Twilight, panting all the way.
Silence.
Then, question after question.
"What the hay, RD! What happened?!"
"Dashie?! What's wrong with Twilight!? Why did you bring us here!"
"Oh my.... Rainbow Dash? What... what happened?"
"Rainbow Dash, darling, what in Equestria is wrong?!"
"QUIET!"
There was silence once more.
Rainbow held up a hoof, trying to catch her breath. She opened her mouth to speak, but then closed it.
"I'll show you." Said Rainbow Dash, as she began plucking feathers off her wings, and jabbing herself with them so she bled.
"RAINBOW! What in tarnation are ya doin'!"
"I'll show you!" she shouted again.
Her wings were now a mess.
She turned around, and showed them to her friends, side by side with Twilight.
Rainbow's wings looked strangely like-
A gasp from Fluttershy filled the room as she figured in out, one hoof covering her mouth in shock.
Rainbow turned around and spoke.
"Guys. Twilight's growing wings ."
Stunned silence filled the room.
Everypony blinked, once, twice, three times.
And then... Pinkie smiled.
This place is amazing.
Everything is made of stars - there is blue and green, and it's incredible to look at.
The pain is almost gone - it's building again, but I think it will end soon.
I'm in a hallway of memories, it seems. From my first, to my last, as I approach my cutie mark at the end of the hallway. The song seems to have gained a small amount of lyrics, and I can't quite tell who's singing it - myself, or Celestia, as it sounds a bit like her voice. It's all so incredible.
I reach out, and touch it.
Twilight twitched again on the bed, and Rainbow backed up. Pinkie was smiling, and hopping excitedly, and her hair was curly again.
Rarity was crying tears of joy - she thought that they would lose Twilight, yet here she was, just growing wings, after all of that.
Applejack felt as if she was going to do the same, just on the inside.
Fluttershy was weeping away all the worry they once felt. She was so glad that Twilight was okay. (Nopony realized that they left Spike at home, and he was panicking as he thought something awful was happening to Twilight.)
Rainbow smiled as well... It would be only much later that she would realize she hurt her wings quite a bit just to get the others to understand, and it would be a day or two until she could fly again.
Twilight was twitching more now, as her wings grew in more and more...
My horn lit up as I touched it, and it's magic wrapped around me, lifting me into the air as it spiraled around me in an incredible light show. I once again relived everything that had happened to me - My destiny in front of me, as I prepared for anything.
Twilight's horn had lit up, and her magic glowed brighter and brighter as it surrounded her form, lifting her into the air.
Her friends all took a few steps back and watched in complete awe at the spectacular showing of magic. It almost hurt their eyes to look at, and they had to squint them to see the bare outline of Twilight's cutie mark in the light show.
In a brilliant flash, it was over, and Twilight descended.
I opened my eyes as I woke up, standing on a hospital bed, my friends in front of me. They stared at me in total awe. I was so happy to see them again.
I smiled...
...and unfurled my new wings.
My friends shed tears of joy, and leapt towards me in a group hug.
Dear Princess Celestia,
Today I learned, that if something bad was to ever happen to you, your friends will always stay by your side. It doesn't matter if you are the only thing holding them together. It doesn't matter if grief from what happened tears them apart. Their shared effort and love for you will keep them going strong, and they will do whatever it takes to save you.
Your forever faithful student, Princess Twilight Sparkle
Twilight smiled as she walked down the aisle, the singing behind her announcing her as princess. Celestia had decided to coronate her for her efforts in saving Equestria, and for her alicornhood. The dress she wore was crafted by Rarity, her crown was her Element of Harmony, Magic.
Or, was it Friendship? After all, they were exactly the same to her.
Twilight continued, her crown of Friendship placed upon her head, as she turned to face the crowd as they all cheered in awe and amazement, and love for their new Princess.
Twilight felt that everything was going to be just fine.

And yes, I know this last chapter was really short compared to the others, but to me, it's PERFECT.
So here it is: the final chapter of Metamorphosis.
Rereading this story, it feels very rushed. Some things were way over exaggerated, some things did not get enough attention. But I was not quite as good as a writer as I am now, so I can excuse it.
Also, quick shoutout to Sakuralovelight, who kept on reminding me to keep this story going! It probably would've taken another YEAR to finish if someone wasn't encouraging me to keep making more!

Elements of Harmony (Prologue)
The five friends gasped as a scorch mark appeared on the ground in the shape of Twilight's cutie mark, after she was blasted by the Elements of Harmony.
"Oh my goodness! Where did she go?" said Fluttershy, terrified.
"Over there!" Applejack pointed through a window towards an image of Twilight's cutie mark in the sky. They all ran outside to find their spell-writing friend.
The image of the cutie mark descended, and in a flash of light, there was a shadow of Twilight lying on the ground.
"Twilight?" Applejack said,"Is... that you?"
Eventually, the light faded, revealing Twilight. She was laying on the ground, motionless. Her only movements were her breaths.
"...Twilight?" Pinkie said, afraid that her friend was hurt. The five friends instantly rushed to their unconscious friend, prepared to help her if she was injured in any way.
"I'll go get somepony to help!" Rainbow Dash said. She was the fastest of the five, and was already flying towards Ponyville Hospital. Though she repeatedly claimed she was fearless, she was afraid of something. She was afraid that something would injure her friends. She was scared of her friends dying due to the villains and monsters they faced, or anything else.
The four friends that stayed, watched over the sleeping friend, while trying to figure out what went wrong.
Where... am I?
I need to know where I am. I can figure out what happened from there.
Everything is starry. The sky is full of stars, like the night sky, and the ground is gone. Everything is sky. The sky is dark blue and green - a very, very dark blue - and some of the stars around me have a little purple color around them. Okay, now I can think of areas like this, and learn where I am...
