The day started off in maintenance like any other day, all the gray on the walls, just screaming *paint me another color!*. I work in the Reactor section of the stable, nothing much to do there, except play cards, with the one in a while exception of only me repairing it. The Stallions and mares never seem to get along down here, and it's very rare that somepony gets hit and vice-verse down here for no reason. I just happened to be that one for this week.

“Hey Sexy, think fast!” one of the stallions said. Me, I even didn't turn to see it coming. I woke up 3 hours later in medical. I know Hyper one of the 20 original Pegasi left here in 34.

“whoa there sugar, take it easy, you've been out for a while now!”

“Ya, nice to see you to,” then added, “does my mom know?”

“Does she know!” she said as if shocked, “the overmare? she's been worried sick  about you! Just lay back down before she comes,” she paused before continuing “you know what she'll do to see if your back in working condition or not.”

“Gee, Tell me something I don't know.”

A few hours pass still thinking about how to figure out this damn stable. I mean really. How is it that this stable, besides 25, was the only 2 stables that had the Delta series of the Pipbucks but no 3k series? How is this stable 2 acres squared and has 5 levels? How can this stable, hold 1000 ponies and not let them go hungry? Why is there only 20 Pegasi left out of the original 150 in 200 years?

“I don't understand this stable,” I sighed, “why can't this stable give me a fucking break!” Hyper must have heard me, for her to come flying in here like the stable is on fire.

“Is something wrong? Are you OK? Did your head hit...” her look softened, “can I get you anything?”

“Nothing to hard for you to do.” and I just tapped my hoof on the bed.

“You know how your own mother is, don't you?” she said with a scared tone.

“Oh come on, like my own mother doesn't know how I am,” I stated with most certainty, “and you think I don't know how you feel about me.”

“Oh, do you?” she purred, “So long as one thing doesn't happen in here, and you know what I mean.”

“Afraid are we?”

Her eyes widened then narrowed at me, looking intent on having me, then flew beside me.

“Do you like this stable, at all? Cause I don't, I'd rather be out there than in here,” pausing before asking, “Don't you want out of here, with me, till the day we die?

“I don't know, sure I would but, what about your mom? Won't you miss her?”

3 hours later I went to my room after my talk with Hyper. Hyper was the most beautiful pony in 34. A sexy golden coat, with a platinum mane with baby blue eyes, similar to the sky in the books here. Though random is, is what random does, my mother waiting for me.

“Oh Decibel!”

“Oh Fuck.” muttering under my breath, I knew what was going to happen.

“Come here now, I won't bite.”

“Missile, You know this is not right.” Though she made the rules here, with no exceptions. “Your lucky I can't say you molestered me though, I'll Say that,” Pausing then adding, “Can't you at least molest me and hyper?”

“Why shouldn't I, It's your room,” she looked at me then said, “Come here, you first.”

“On one condition, you let me and hyper out!” I yelled.

Her eyes went wide. “But I..”

“No buts, this stable is going to hell, plus it's bound to happen sooner or later.”

“I… we… hugh fine, your right.”

“Just like that, are you kidding me?”

“No, I'm not shitting you, just keep in mind,” she looked at me endearingly, “you two are the first out of this stable in 200 years.” paused for a few seconds then said, “Just take care of you and her would you? Promise me that?”

We were armed for bear. A grenade rifle, with enough 40mm explosives for me. 2 ATR's for her. We set out into the world above, probably never to come back home, to the ones we knew, ever again.
