Unexpected Love

Pinkie and Rarity were in Carousel Boutique, trying on outfits the purple maned mare had created for the gala. Pinkie was wearing a green, yellow, and pink dress, lined with peppermint candies. "Oh, Darling! Wherever did you find that hideous dress?" Rarity snorted, shocked that this monstrosity of a dress had come out of HER designs. "Outta that closet over there! Candies and bright colours are my two favorite things! Cakes too. Oh, and cookies, Donuts..." Rarity didn't listen to Pinkies nonsensical mumbles. She tore open the closet to observe the contents, and saw the most respulsive designs she had ever seen in her life. Sweetie Belle popped up behind her, with a grin. "Do you like them big sis? I made them myself!" Rarity took a deep inhale, as not to scream, and turned to her sister. "I love them, Sweetie, but they are not what I had in mind. No hard feelings?" She forced a smile. Her mouth felt like it was frozen, she tried her best not to frown. Sweetie Belle grinned. "I'm glad you like them big sis!" She galloped back upstairs. Rarity sighed with relief. "Now, Pinkie Darling, try this one?" Rarity levitated a light blue evening gown lined with white lace. The belt was white as well with candies lining it, a fine accent. "I love it!" Pinkie jumped for joy, nearly toppling one of Rarity's 2,000 bit mannequins. "Do be careful darling. Those things aren't cheap."  A few days later, Rarity had designed stunning outfits for each of her friends and herself. Twilight wore a violet gown with midnight blue accents. Her star barrette and and scarf made up for the barren details, however. Applejack had an orange dress with cream accents, along with a brown belt with an apple buckle. She was also wearing lace-up boots. Fluttershy wore a pink dress, with white poofy hem and butterfly accents to match her cutie mark. Rainbow Dash wore a tight rainbow dress with a sleek golden collar, and her golden greek-inspired feather barrettes from the last gala. Rarity's dress, however, stole the show. It was a stunning silver evening gown with slighty darker hem, lined with the finest diamonds. Her barrette bore the same accessories. "Is everyone ready for the gala?" Rarity asked gleefully, to several agreeing responses. "I've hired the finest coachmen in ponyville. There is, however, a catch. We will have an extra passenger with us. That's fine, isn't it girls?" Murmurs rose. "The carriage is nearly here, get outside!" Rarity shouted, bolting out the door. She faced the girls. "There shall be 3 carriages. One for AppleJack and Rainbow Dash. One for Twilight,Pinkie, and Spike. As well as One for me and the extra passenger, so be prepared! Here they are now!" The girls began to chatter excitedly, carefully filing into the carriages. "Off to the Gala we go!"
