Journal Entry March 30th

I went on another date last night with a pegasus filly named Firewing Flamedancer. I met her last week just outside the Town Park Tennis Courts just after I’d finished working out.

She seemed really nice when I talked to her; sweet, friendly, charming, smart and we seemed to share the same interests.

Everything was going great on our first date until she noticed I have a glass eye. After that she seemed a bit uncomfortable and I couldn’t help noticing that she was doing her best to be polite and not stare at my eye. After a while I started getting pretty uncomfortable myself and we ended the date a little early. I walked her home, said good night and that’s the last time I’ve seen her. Note to self: Stop at Mr Cake’s Bakery and get muffins.

Journal Entry April 3rd

Wow, what a day! I just finished doing a stunt flying exhibition tour that took me from the Crystal Empire, through Griffonstone, ending in a short performance at the playing field just outside of Ponyville. Boy, am I beat! I’m glad to be home!

I did see the flyer Rainbow Dash in the crowd at the exhibition, thought about going up and introducing myself but, by the time I got to where she’d been watching the show she was gone. Oh, well. Maybe I’ll catch up with her next time.

Note to self: I can’t believe I ate that whole batch of muffins so quick! Will need to stop at the bakery and get more.

Journal Entry April 27th

My career as a stunt flyer seems to be picking up. A booking agent calling from the Crystal Empire asked if I’d be willing to do a repeat performance of my act later this year. Of course, I said yes since I can really use the work right now since bills are piling up a little. Work’s been short since not many people request stunt flying shows during the winter so I’m glad it’s spring. I should be able to get a lot more work in the coming months. Muffins! Don’t forget to get more muffins!

Journal Entry May 2nd

Today, while heading for my usual work out at the tennis courts, I saw the most  beautiful pegasus mare I’d ever seen in my life! She was absolutely gorgeous! She had a beautiful silver-blue coat, the sleekest and prettiest I’d ever seen, thick blonde hair and a gorgeous lush tail that trailed all the way down to the ground like some kind of train on a wedding dress or something! She was laying under an oak tree on the other side of the park reading a book. She never once looked up from that book so I didn’t get to see her eyes. Now I’m dying to know what they look like. I wish I could have gone up and said hi to her but two things stopped me: first, I had to pack for yet another out of town flying exhibition in Canterlot. Second, and for whatever reason, I felt kind of shy about going up to her. Note: Muffins.

Journal Entry May 12th

Yeah, it’s been another one of those weeks! Busy! Busy! Busy! At least work’s really picking up now and my tour schedule’s booked up for a solid two weeks from next Thursday. Great! I can finally get caught up on my bills and get back in the black!

Journal Entry May 18th

I know I should write in this thing every day in order to keep it up to date but I just can’t in spite of how much I wish I could. Oh, and I went on another date last night, this time with a pegasus filly named Cirrus Cloudweaver. She was nice enough at first, seemed really sweet and interested in me but, again, the subject of my glass eye came up. I wish she’d been like the last date, Firewing, but she wasn’t. That would have been better. Unfortunately Cirrus just kept asking me questions about my eye, how’d it happen? who did it? how long have I been this way? Was it hard to be a flyer with one good eye? Was it hard for me to adjust to having one eye? Sheesh! I was really polite about it but I ended that date after fifteen minutes! Today I went to Mr Cake’s Bakery first thing and got muffins. I was delighted to find that they had just made a fresh batch of Lemon Surprise! My favorite! I bought them all!

Journal Entry May 29th

I saw that beautiful blonde pegasus filly at the park again, today. Her nose was buried in a book and I couldn’t help wondering what she was reading. She seems to like reading a lot since she’s doing it every time I see her. I’m guessing she’s pretty smart or, at lest, knows a lot of stuff from all the reading she does. Now I’m dying to know!

Journal Entry June 2nd

What a disaster! I went to Canterlot to do the flying exhibition I’d been booked for only to discover that the show organizer had also hired several other flyers and that we were expected to do some kind of synchronized flying routine together on short notice. They gave us all two days to think one up and practice for it. None of us were ever notified that this was scheduled to happen. Boy, was I ticked off about it!

Still, money is money and I did my best to work with the other flyers. Most of them were really good about it, tried really hard, all except one flyer named Hashmark. He was ex military but, in spite of that, he had a really hard time working with us, didn’t want to co-operate, just wanted to call all the shots.

At one point during our routine practice Hashmark zigged when he should have zagged and we collided in mid air. I ended up with a sprained wing but he walked away without a scratch! He’s too lucky for his own good. The show had to be canceled The organizer told me it’d be rescheduled for a later date. Don’t forget: Muffins.

Journal Entry June 15th

Well, the doctor said I should be able to go back to work in a few days. Great! Hopefully I can book enough shows to make up for the ones I had to cancel because of the accident in Canterlot. Oh! The show organizer called me, today, apologized like crazy for all the mixups that had happened with the last show and asked if I’d be willing to schedule another one? I asked him if I’d be working with other flyers and this time she said no. I was relieved to hear that so I said sure, fine, and rebooked another show with them.

Journal Entry June 17th

I don’t know why, maybe it’s because I have so much time on my hands while I’m recuperating, but I’ve really been feeling lonely, today and I kept thinking about that beautiful blonde pegasus filly I’ve seen a couple of times at the park. I was tempted to go and see if she was there but my wing was aching pretty badly and, so, I ended up not feeling well enough to be up for that. Maybe soon, though.

Journal Entry June 25th

I saw the doctor again, today. He gave me a clean bill of health, told me I was fit as a fiddle and that I could return to work at any time. Perfect timing on that since I have a that show rebooked and scheduled in Canterlot a few days from now.

Funny, but my wing still aches. I asked the doctor about it and he said it was just something residual left over from the injury and it should pass in time. Good! I’m getting tired of it. Muffins!

Journal Entry June 26th

I’ve decided today’s the day! I’m tired of just wondering who that gorgeous blonde pegasus filly is. Today, I find out! I’ll head out for the park after I finish with things I need to do here. First things first: Stop at the bakery and get muffins.

Journal Entry June 27th

Yes! I finally went up to that gorgeous pegasus filly I’d seen in the park and introduced myself and I finally got to see what color eyes she has. Wow! She has the most beautiful Sun-Gold eyes I’ve ever seen! Amazing! She’s so beautiful! Turns out she has a wall eye and talks with a lisp but I don’t care! To me she’s the most beautiful thing in the world! Her name is Demora. Beautiful name! *AND SHE LIKES MUFFINS AS MUCH AS I DO! YEAH!*

She did kind of freak me out a little at first because she was so shy and awkward that I felt a little put off by it but I really wanted to get to know her so I hung with her for a while. I really wanted to see more of her so I gave her one of my business cards and told her she could call if she wanted.

She called me back yesterday afternoon and we went on our first date last night at the Hayburger Shack. It was a little awkward at first until she noticed my glass eye. She never said a word about it! Never acted like it was weird but actually relaxed after she’d realized I had it! This, of course, totally blew me away. Considering how all the other fillies I’ve dated have reacted to it this was totally unexpected.

We sat and talked about everything! She was wonderful! Smart, witty, funny, cute, sweet, warm, charming,  well read. We like most of the same things, the same subjects and interests.

Before we knew it, it was closing time. We were both amazed at how fast the time went. It felt like we’d been there for only a minute before the waiter came up and told us they were closing.

I walked her to her door. I made sure we walked slowly but I also made sure I wasn’t being too obvious about it. I didn’t want the date to end. It was clear she didn’t, either. We talked and talked all the way to her house like we were old friends! I’d never been so comfortable so soon with a filly, before. It was amazing!

Then, finally, the most amazing thing of all, happened.

We were at her house, I was just going to ask her when we could see each other again when I was overwhelmed and, before I could stop myself, I kissed her! I mean I *kissed* her! Even more amazing was that she didn’t get mad, didn’t try to push me off. She kissed me back! I’d never done that on a first date, before! It blew me away as much as I think it did her, too. Still, she obviously didn’t mind. All I can say is that last night was the most wonderful night of my life!

Journal Entry July 3rd

Just got back from the Canterlot show last night. That went great but I’m glad to be home. I called Demora right away, couldn’t wait to talk to her. She answered the phone on the first ring. She was so happy to hear from me, just as happy as I was to talk to her. We’ve made arrangements to get together and hang out, tonight. Awesome! Can’t wait to see her, again.

Journal Entry July 5th

Me and Demora had a wonderful time the other night. In fact, she stayed over at my house. No, we didn’t do anything, just laid in bed and cuddled until we fell asleep. I woke up the next morning feeling like I’d slept better than I’d slept in years. It was just amazing having her sleep next to me like that. I’ve never known anything like it. Like I said, it was amazing. She’s here with me right now watching me write this. She’s got a huge smile on her face reading what I’m writing down. She’s so adorable!

Journal Entry July 9th

Demora’s taken a real interest in my stunt flying abilities and has asked me if I could teach her how to do some of the things I do. Of course I said sure since I love the idea of her being so interested in it so, I’ll start teaching her some of the basics she doesn’t already know although I have to admit she’s already a pretty damn good flyer!

Journal Entry July 12th

I know things are moving really fast but I’ve asked Demora to move in with me. She said yes! I’ll be going to her house to help her move her stuff when I get back from my next show. Oh! She’s asked if she could go with me when I do it. I said sure! I love being around her so much and I really hate it when I’m not with her.

Journal Entry July 16th

Well, I’m back from my show and I feel great! I put on my best show ever knowing Demora was in the audience watching, having a wonderful time and cheering me on. She’s very supportive of what I do and I love that about her. In fact, I love *HER!* Yeah, just like that! I love her! She hasn’t said it, yet, but I know she loves me too. I know it’s only a matter of time before we tell each other and not too long I bet, either!

Journal Entry July 22nd

I started teaching Demora some basic flying tricks and stunts, today. I was impressed! She’s really smart and catches on really quickly. First day she mastered three basic stunt tricks: The hard roll, the overhead rolling tumble and a snap dive. All in one day! Yeah, she’s awesome!

Journal Entry July 29th

Demora and I had a fight, today, and I feel like crap. I hate knowing that I upset her, even made her cry. I feel like such a heel for that. I want to tell her I’m sorry but I know I was right about what I said!

I was telling her my plans for a really dangerous stunt I was working on. Sure, it’s dangerous but it’d be so spectacular if I pull it off! It’ll be a real show stopper!

Anyway, I was telling Demora about it when she got really scared, started telling me I shouldn’t do it because it’d be too dangerous.

I did my best to tell her that I’ve had a lot of experience doing difficult and risky stunts, that this new one shouldn’t be any different than the others and everything should be just fine, that she really didn’t have anything to worry about.

She wouldn’t accept it, just kept fretting about it, going on and on about how dangerous it would be and would I please at least think twice about doing it? I hate to admit it but I was so set on doing it that I didn’t listen to her. That’s when she yelled at me but it wasn’t anything mean or bad. What she yelled was I LOVE YOU AND I CAN’T BEAR THE THOUGHT OF SEEING YOU GET HURT! She started crying and ran out of the house. I haven’t seen her since she left about six hours ago.

I hope she comes home soon. I miss her. I’m realizing she’s right. I should think twice about what I’m planning to do. I can’t stand the thought of what she’d go through if she saw me get hurt.

*Update!* Demora just came through the door a little while ago. I couldn’t believe what I did when she came in. I went up to her, told her I was sorry, that she was right, that I should definitely think twice about doing the stunt. I never did that with anyone, before. I’ve always been really stubborn when I thought I was right about something. I guess this only shows how much I love her after all.  She didn’t say a word, just grabbed me and hugged me and said thank you and that she loves me and then she said she was sorry for getting upset and fighting with me. Things are good now, we’re back to being happy with each other. In fact, I think it’s even better now than it was before the fight because now I know not to argue with Demora about some things.

Journal Entry August 6th

Demora told me, today, she wants to go with me on all my tours and shows. I was really happy to hear this because I really hate being away from her when I’m on tour, really miss her a lot and can’t wait to get back to her but I had to ask her how it’d effect her job as a postal carrier. She said that it was just an idea because she really hates being away from me, too,  but she’d talk to her boss and see what they said. She told me she thinks it shouldn’t be too much of a problem, though. I hope it works out. I’d love it if she were able to go with me so we don’t have to be apart, anymore.

Journal Entry August 9th

Demora told me she talked to her boss and that he was okay with her going with me on tour as long as her being gone didn’t cut too much into her working at the post office. That kind of threw her for a loop because she really loves her job, does it really well, but really wants to go with me, too. That’s when she got the idea that she’d start training a couple of stand-ins to cover for her when she’s on tour with me. Her boss loved the idea and agreed to let her do that.

Journal Entry September 7th

Well, Demora and I have done three tours together, now, and having her with me is wonderful, makes all the difference in the world. I always put on the best show  I can knowing she’s in the audience watching and cheering me on.

Turns out she’s got a really good head for business and management! I got into a little beef with the organizer of one show and we kind of got stuck trying to work out a disagreement we had over part of the contract they wanted me to sign for the next show they wanted me to do.

This went on for a while until Demora kind of stepped in, started talking with the organizer real sweet and nice. Within a minute she had him eating out of her hand, ready to agree to just about anything we wanted! Best of all she didn’t even have to flirt or get cute with the guy in order to do it. She was just really logical, sensible, and put out arguments that the organizer just couldn’t argue with. He was impressed and so was I! Right after that I asked her to be my business manager. She said she’d be happy to do it.

September 23rd

Demora’s turning out to be a totally awesome business manager! Because of her I’ve got more work, more shows to do and the contracts she’s worked out with the organizers are better than anything I could ever have dreamed of! If she keeps this up we’ll both be rich in no time! Am wondering if we need muffins? I’ll have to ask Demora when I get done with this.

Journal Entry September 29th

Life is great! It’s awesome! It’s wonderful! Better than I ever could have imagined! That’s all thanks to Demora! She’s just the most awesome, most wonderful, most incredible, most amazing, most astounding pony I’ve ever known in my whole life! And she’s mine! Things have never been so good and I owe all that to her. She’s just been so devoted, so dedicated, so... AWESOME!

Journal Entry October 4th

Demora came to me, today, with some wonderful news! She’s pregnant! She’s going to have our baby! She was really scared to tell me at first because she wasn’t sure how I was going to take the news. She was kind of moody for a day or two before telling me. I knew something was wrong so I just kept bugging her until she told me. She can be pretty stubborn sometimes.

I thought my heart was going to explode with happiness when she told me! I was laughing and dancing around the room with her, kissing her, hugging her, telling her how happy I was, how wonderful she is and how happy I am to know we’re gonna have a kid! Wait, that’s still sinking in. *WE’RE GONNA HAVE A KID!* YEAH! (I hope the kid grows up to like muffins.)

Journal Entry October 5th

Demora talked to me, today. She told me that she was a bit worried that having this kid of ours would affect our show tours and career life and that she thought that I might reconsider the whole thing for the sake of my career.

I told her not to worry about it, that us having a kid shouldn’t affect my stunt flying career too much and that everything should be fine. Besides, I really want to have this kid with her. I love her so much and I love the idea of us having and being a family. A real family!

After that she was so happy! I’ve never seen her so happy, before, and I’ve seen her happy!

Journal Entry October 6th

Honestly, I really didn’t have to think about this for too long. Really, it was a no brainer for me but I thought I should consider it for at least a little while.

After our talk about us being a real family, yesterday, I went out and bought her an engagement ring then, last night after dinner, I got down on my knee and asked her to marry me. She said YES!

Now we’re making plans to have a June Wedding.

Note: We need more muffins!
