//-------------------------------------------------------// The Curse With No Cure -by Mystic Solaris Knight- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue It was a cold morning autumn in Equestria. It was finally Hearth's Warming Eve. Solaris "Mystic" (What he used to be called) Knight was running around, trying to find his suit. He was a yellowish pony with a purple hair, going a little up. He was cursed by an evil sorcerer named Clans and he had the ability to eat gems, talk to animals, and have all the talents which caused him to not have a cutie mark! Now, he has one, but if you want to know what it is, keep reading to find out! He looked at himself in the mirror. He sighed. "Okay, Solar, you can do this." Pinkamena Diana Pie, as known as Pinkie Pie, popped out of nowhere and squealed. "Yay! I can't wait for this, Knight! You're finally getting on stage to tell everypony from sea to sea, from East to West, from North to South, from West to North.......-" Solar laughed. "Pinks, just cut to the chase." Pinkie blinked as she stopped. Then she squeed. "I'm soooooooo happy for you that you're going to share your stories with everypony from sea to sea, from East to West, from North to South, from West to North.......-" "Pinkie Pie!" Said Rarity as she entered. "Would you please stop bothering Solaris? He need to prepare for his speech!" Knight sighed. "I'm not even sure if I can get them all right." Rarity just smiled. "Just do your best, dear." "I sure will!" Said Knight as he lighten up a bit. Applejack's head popped out from the door. "Hey, y'all! How's the speech going on?" Asked AJ. Knight shrugged. "I would have failed to talk if you girls wouldn't have stopped to help me out." Knight answered as the three Elements of Harmony blushed. "Aww, shucks." "That's sweet!" "Happy to help!" "I'm a little nervous and excited at the same time though," he admitted. "NERVOUS-CITED!" Pinkie yelled. "Come on, you only got the best mare in Equestria!" Pearl smirked. She was cursed by Clans too and had the ability to changed into a mermare by midnight. Her ocean blue eyes matched with her wavy bluish-green mane. Her white coat was gleaming during the day and glowing during the night. Though she could be a little perky, she had shown true courage for Solaris. "You're right," Solaris smiled gently, "I have Snow with me." "No her! I meant me!" She laughed jokingly. "Says a pony who thought running away is the best solution for everything," Solaris teased. The ponies laughed as Pearl blushed bright red before running out of the backstage. "Told ya," he chuckled. "Fifteen minutes to curtain!" Said Spike as he walked pass Knight. "Got it, Fire-breath," said Knight. He always used that nickname for Spike because Spike can send letters to Princess Celestia by his Green fire breath. Especially receiving the letters from the princess. "Oh, well we better get going. Good luck!" Said Rarity as she dragged the two friends out with her. Knight walked behind the curtains and he took a little peek at the audience. He froze as he take a little look at the audience. There were like a zillions of ponies seated from the first floor to the third! The highnesses were seated in the second floor. Celestia was seated beside her husband Sombra and her adopted daughters, Crystal and Sylphie. Twilight Sparkle was seated beside her husband, Flash Sentry and Celestia's sister aka Princess of the Night, Lunamoon or just Luna. Cadence sat between her husband Shining Armor and their daughter, Glamour Radience. Finally, there was Captain Adira Adelina Swift Snowflake, Knight's marefriend. Knight is the best friend of Flash Sentry and Knight liked Luna better than Celestia. The other royals from all over the world were seated next to the Princesses as well as the Knight family, Eclipse Knight(father), Platinum (Mother), Fierce (Brother), Jewel (Older Sister), Nature Green (Adopted Younger Sister), Fluttershy (Younger Cousin) and so on. He also spotted his friends: Soarin Wings, Octavia, Flash Sentry, Shadow Wings and his sister Breeze Glide, Sunset Shimmer, Trixie, Tenor High Notes, Base Low Notes, DJ Pon-3, and more! His teachers, butler, and maid were even there! Swift spotted Knight and she gave a friendly wave at him. Knight smiled in response. Knight pulled his head away from the curtains as he took out the engagement ring for Snow. "Still in a perfect shape," muttered Knight as he put it back in his pocket. "And it's show time." "Hello, everypony!  Thank you for taking your time to watch the Hearth's Warming Eve story in Canterlot!" Spike's voice rang out. "Please welcome, the very son of the pony from the legend called, 'The Four Knights!'" The curtains opened to reveal Solaris Knight as the audience clapped. "It's a pleasure to meet you all!" Said Knight. "Before we begin, I'd like to thank my friends and family for helping me through for all my life! Being alone is hard, but I just found where I belonged. This journey had brought me a thousands of friends I can trust, and also...quite a few enemies." The crowd laughed a bit as Trixie blushed. Knight smiled as he continued, "I just wanted to say that...guys, you are everything to me and I can't thank you enough. Thank you. I love you all!" The crowd cheered, but his friends and family cheered louder. Knight felt tears in his eyes before the crowd settled down. Knight cleared his throat and began his story, "It was a cold season in South Amareica......-" //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Two //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Two The ship rocked back and forth as Mystic walked to the railing. He sniffed the air. It smells like salt and seaweed. Mystic also smelled something else. It will rain soon enough. Mystic turned as he heard the Captain's voice from the speaker saying, "Attention, Passengers and Crew! We have sighted a storm coming on! So please take shelter in your rooms and stay away from the railings! Thank you!" The ponies backed away to their rooms and shut it. Mystic's ears perked up as he heard a drip, drop, drip, drop. The rain has started but it was different. Mystic ran to the engineering room as his instincts told him and stopped as he saw a little flood inside. A metal piece was floating by and Mystic presumed that the ship was patched. "Help!" Shouted a pony. Mystic turned to see a pony struggling to get his rear hoof out of a giant piece of metal. Mystic ran to him and struggled to let his hoof out. He sighed as he had no choice but to use his magic. When the pony is free, Mystic wrapped his small blanket around the hoof. Mystic could have gone for help, but there was no time because the flood was coming in quickly! "Call for help as fast as you can!" Shouted Mystic over the rain. "Our lives depends on it!" The pony nodded as he tried to run with only three legs. Mystic turned at the hole and took the metal piece. He forced it with his hoof but the water coming in was too strong that he swallowed some of the salty water and oil from the engine. Mystic coughed. He used all his might to cast a spell that the leak will be closed. He knew he wasn't ready for this but he had no choice. As soon as the leak stopped, Mystic took a bucket of water to throw it overboard, but instead he fell to the cold water mixed with oil and fainted. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Three //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Three Mystic slowly woke up at the feeling of warmness. He looked around at the sight of white walls with green curtains. He sure is confused about this. "Where am I?" Asked Mystic as he scratched his head and slowly sat. He turned to see the Captain named Paddington and a doctor named Cure. "In Manehattan, son" answered Pad. "Manehattan?" Mystic asked. "Yep, we could have died out there if it weren't for you. And you swallowed a whole gallon of oil and salty water." Said Paddington. Mystic coughed. "Oh, that explains it." "You need to rest a little. You need to drink at least three gallons a day." Said the doctor. "And we've noticed your wings son," said Pad. "Yeah, they're in a bad color right?" Asked Mystic. "I was born with it." "Are you royalty or something?" Asked the doctor. "Royalty?" Asked Mystic. "No, I don't think so." "Well, you have a pair of wings and a horn. Are you sure you're not royal?" Asked Pad, peering curiously at him. "Trust me, I've been living in a box with my medallion and my....book!" Said Mystic before turning in to a panicked look. "Have you seen my bag?" "Hey. Calm yourself down. You'll make your health worse. Don't worry, it's right over there." Said Doctor Cure, pointing at the bag lying on the floor. Pad grabbed the bag and handed to Mystic. "Phew, it's all here," said Mystic. Sighing in relief. "Thanks. Now I should get going." "If Doc says it's alright," said Pad. "Of course you can, but make sure you drink a lot," said doc. "Sure do," said Mystic as he hopped of his bed and grabbed a new cloak, but he halted. "Where's mine?" Asked Mystic. "We threw it in the trash," said Doctor Cure. "If we don't, you'll get a disease." "The pony you saved from dying wants to say thanks by giving a brand new cloak!" Said Pad. "By the way, his name is Conrad Shield." "I really want to thank him but I have nothing to give for I am a poor pony." Said Mystic sadly. "It's alright,  your gallantry is already enough," said Pad. "I should catch the nearest train to Canterlot," said Mystic. He sighed, "But I have no bits." "You can walk," suggested Pad, giving a wink at Cure. "Yeah, that might work. I'll be going. Merci beaucoup !" Said Mystic as he walked out of the room boldly with his saddle, cloak, and medal on. Pad and Cure looked at each other.  "What does that mean?" Asked Pad. Sherlock Hooves and Dr. Neighson came passing. "I think that meant 'Thanks a lot'," Said Sherlock. Dr Neighson stared at him. "How do you know?" "Elementary, my dear friend," Sherlock chuckled. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Five //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Five When the train stopped at Canterlot Junction, Mystic put Nature Green on his back and he walked out of the train. He walked slowly not to let Nature awake. He knew he needed to buy themselves some food, so he walked into a bakery shop. "Welcome, sir!" Said a pony as Mystic checked the price. "Five bits for two loaves of bread," answered the pony after Mystic pointed the loaves. Mystic put the bits on the counter and the Baker noticed how hungry Mystic and Nature looked. So she put ten instead of two. Mystic peered at the bag she gave. "Mistress," he finally spoke, "you put ten by mistake!" "Oh no, please take it!" Said the baker. Mystic tried to give it back but eventually took it. "Merci beaucoup!" Thanked Mystic. " Vous êtes le bienvenue!" Said the baker. "You speak French?" Asked Mystic, bewildered. She nodded. "Oui," she answered while winking. Mystic thanked her again before getting out to the cold weather. He gazed at the sight of the stores while trotting. It was not long before he bumped into somepony. "Hey!" "Whoops, sorry mistress," said Mystic, helping her up. "I didn't watch where I was going." "It's alright," answered the purple pony with flowing blue, pink, and green mane. She was about a year or two younger than him. "Really! Je suis vraiment désolé!" Mystic said. "I should have been more careful!" "It's okay. I'm Crystal," Said the mare. "I'm Mystic Solaris from South Amareica, even though I feel like I come from Prance," said Mystic, shaking hooves with her. "Who behind you?" Asked Crystal meekly. "Oh, I met her in the Manehattan Train Junction. She was abandoned by her mother," Mystic shrugged. "Where are your parents?" Asked Crystal. Mystic drooped his ears as he turned away from her. "Oh well, I'd rather not talk about it." "Oh," said Crystal. Their conversation began awkwardly because they were both shy. As they walked, Mystic didn't notice that they were in front of the palace Gate until a guard stopped him. "HALT! What is your business in the Castle?" Asked a guard, letting Crystal inside. "Oh! I'm sorry, I was talking to Crystal that I didn't even notice that I was about to enter!" Apologized Mystic. "That's Princess Crystal to you!" Snapped the other guard. "Princess?" He questioned, tilting his head. "Just let him inside! Can't you see he's freezing?!" Asked Crystal. "We only take orders from Princess Celestia," said the guard. "No no no, it's okay. I can live with it. I always live in some alley way. I got used to it, so no worries," assured Mystic. "But the filly won't!" Cried Crystal. "I have some bits. I can afford some blankets and a job," said Mystic. Nature slowly opened her eyes. "I'm cold," Nature said shivering. Mystic smiled at her as they turned to the exit. Mystic put off his cloak and wrapped Nature with it. The guards gasped at the sight of the medal. Mystic wrapped his wing around Nature as they walked. "He's an alicorn," whispered Crystal. One of the guards ran inside the palace. "Wait!" Mystic and Nature stopped and turned to face her. "You're an alicorn!" Said Crystal, pointing at his wings. "Um, yeah so?" Asked Mystic, flexing his wings. "There's no big of a deal about it." "Yes there is! You're also royalty!" Said Crystal as Princess Celestia herself appeared. "Who are you and what's your name?" Said Celestia gracefully. "My name is Mystic Solaris and I come from South Amareica though I feel like I come from Prance," he answered. "This filly is Nature Green. I found her at Manehattan Station." Celestia nodded to the guard and turned to Mystic. "Come in!" They all entered. Celestia began explaining that she knew his parents and that Mystic is their son, and that claims him royalty. Mystic hastily disagreed. "No, that's not true. I've spent my whole life living in a box in South Amareica!  And you think I'm royalty?! Then explain to me why was I abandoned in a cruel place like that!" Mystic began to feel tears coming into his eyes. "Mystic," Celestia started, "We thought you were safe in protection." "Don't say that when you know MY parents aren't safe!" Yelled Mystic. Celestia, Crystal, and Nature were all surprised at his outrage. Mystic himself knew that he shouldn't be shouting such things to the Princess of Equestria! "Mystic, we'll explain everything of what happened that day you were 'abandoned',"said Celestia before adding, "when you're older." "Yeah, older" muttered Mystic as he stomped his hoof and walked away, not even caring that he doesn't know where he's going. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Six //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Six As the afternoon slowly passed by, Mystic was beginning to learn more about himself,  Celestia,  Crystal and the whole castle. Celestia commented that Mystic certainly needed a bath. Mystic simply walked to his new room and turned on the cold water. "Ooh, that's cold. I wonder what happens if I turn the other knob," Mystic said as he turned the hot water knob. "That doesn't seem to do anything." Mystic turned it more until he can't turn it anymore. A few seconds later, the hot water came bursting on him. "Wahhh, HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!!!!" Shouted Mystic as he turned it off. "I think I have enough shower." Mystic looked at the sun setting. "I guess it's time for all the ponies to have dinner." Mystic walked out of the room and sniffed a delicious smell of bread. He took his loaves of bread and walked to the dining room. "Hello, Mystic." Greeted Celestia. "How did you find the dining room?" "Oh well, I just smell a scent of food and followed it," said Mystic. Celestia, Crystal, Sylphie,  and Nature stared at him. "What?" "Well, we're amazed at you, Mystic," said Celestia. "Merci," said Mystic as he took out his loaf of bread and handed to Nature. "Don't you want to eat something else?" Asked Crystal. Nature nodded eagerly as she took a chocolate cake. "Oh, no thank you. I take what's mine," said Mystic. "Tomorrow, I shall get going to explore." "Oh no no no no, you must simply stay," said Sylphie who has glittery wings. She wasn't an alicorn like Crystal or Celestia,  but she's beautiful. "Don't you need a job?" Asked Crystal. "Getting a job in Canterlot isn't easy." Mystic sighed. "I know, but I want to explore the world." "When you grow older," Celestia repeated. "Alright. Do you have any job for me? I'll do anything," sighed Mystic. "Well, you could become a royal soldier since Conrad broke his hoof yesterday. You might take over," said Sylphie. "But first, you need training,"  said Celestia. "All you have to do is wake up tomorrow and go to the training room. I just hope the captain allows you to join." "Got it," said Mystic as he gulped the loaf of bread and ran to his room. "Hmm, looks like he's going to be up really early." Commented Crystal. The others nodded in agreement. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One It was a cold season in South Amareica. A twelve year old yellow alicorn pony with purple hair was lying on the cold, hard ground. Yeah, he was an alicorn, but he didn't understand what royalty is. His wings did not match his coat though. His yellow coat with fire stripes is totally unusual. He can't fly either. Perhaps a little. He doesn't have a cutie mark and he never smiled because he believed he'll never find happiness. But boy, was he wrong. He isn't rich. He doesn't have a house no matter how hard he tried. All he found is shelter that was just a box!  Mystic Solaris, as he believed his name was, stood up and walked to the bakery. He stopped to drool at the sight of the delicious pastry inside the bakery. He shook his head as he remembered why he was not taken in the orphanage. "Forget it, Mystic," He said to himself, "You've got some bread and a shelter. You must count your blessings." He was fighting the Griffins last year for the sake of his Father's book. Even though he was abandoned without any parents, he still got his book from his Father. He knew his father didn't mean to leave him. But he grew tired of waiting and decided to do daring tactics. Many ponies called him the 'Dark Reaper' even though he didn't really killed the Griffins. The Griffins were South Amareica's greatest enemies. They sometimes thought Mystic has a corrupted mind. But you don't know what's really his dark secret. Mystic has a curse by a pony named Clans, as he presumed. He struggled to control it, but only succeed in hiding it. That's a pain when he tries to hide it by using no magic.  He fought the Griffins and accidentally revealed his curse, and perhaps that's why no pony wanted him. He decided he should go on to Equestria, where the news about him haven't reached. Mystic grabbed his dirty cloak and his worn saddle bag that contains everything he needs: His Book, small blanket, and his medallion. His medallion was a gift from his mother. It was a grey-gold heart. Half of the medallion is the five stars. The other is blank. Even though it looked like a necklace, he believed it was a medallion that contains his mother's musics. He put it around his neck and began his journey.  The only problem is: He doesn't have the budget to go to Equestria! So he decided to sneak inside the ship; by hiding in the cargo box. How smart. His plan succeeded as his box (which contains him) was carried inside. "All aboard to Equestria!" Shouted the captain as the ship went to sail. Mystic got out of the box to explore a little bit. But what come ahead of him; will show him that he is a hero. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Four //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Four Mystic made his way to the train station and checked his saddle bag for the ticket. He couldn't give away his book and medallion. It's too dear for him, but wait. There are bits. "Twenty bits?" Asked Mystic, shocked. "But they're not mine!" Then, Mystic saw a note from Pad. 'This is for the brave pony who save the ship. Take care.' Mystic looked at it. He felt a warm feeling. 'What is this feeling?' Thought Mystic. "Love," said Sherlock, standing beside him. Mystic looked at him. "How do you know that?" Asked Mystic. "Elementary,  my dear friend," said Sherlock as he walked away, chuckling. Mystic bought a ticket to Canterlot for six bits and spotted a young little filly crying. Mystic took his ticket and walked to her, opening his hood. "Hey there. Are you lost?" The filly nodded. "Mommy, w-was here and t-told me to s-stay and I-I got lost." Said the filly through her sobs. "There there, I'll find her. It wouldn't be hard to find," said Mystic. "She has a white mane and a pink cloak," said the filly wiping her tears. Fortunately,  after long years of testing his eyes, he scanned the whole crowd like a hawk. He spotted the pony and took the little cream colored hoof of the filly's. "There she is," said Mystic as he brought her to the 'mommy'. "Excuse me, ma'am. I suppose you're forgetting some pony." The mare shrieked as she slapped the filly's face, which made the filly cry. Mystic gasped and glared at the pony. "What is she doing here?!" Asked the pony. "Get her out of my sight NOW!" Mystic has nothing to say but carry the filly and walk away. He bought her another ticket and they entered the train and sat. "Are you okay?" Asked Mystic, surprised that she has such an evil mother. The filly nodded. "I'm Mystic Solaris," Said Mystic. "I'm N-Nature Green," said the cream coated filly with green with a light color stripe mane. Her beautiful, gleaming green eyes with tears touched Mystic's heart. "You have any father?" Asked Mystic. "N-no," said Nature, crying again. Mystic turned his head to the floor. "Well, I don't have either." Nature stopped crying and cringed her head to him. "B-but, you have mommy." Mystic shook his head. "No, not in my whole life. I don't even know who they are." "I'm hungry," said Nature. "Me too. But I promise you I'm going to buy us some food after the trip, okay?" Asked Mystic. Nature nodded. "Story, please?" Asked Nature. Mystic smiled at her as he took out his book, 'The Four Knights' and he began reading. After Nature slept, Mystic smiled as noticed it. It was a smile he hasn't done in years. He thought he'll never find happiness,  but he did.
