Chapter 2: Seeing Red

The next morning john awoke to the smell of something being cooked, john then slowly opened his eyes and looked around. the sun was shining through an open window letting in the nice cool air, john then got up from the sofa and made his way to the kitchen, when john entered the kitchen he was greeted by twilight making breakfast, she turned and saw john was awake and smiled.

"good morning john" she said while moving two plates to the table. "good morning to you too miss twilight sleep well" "very well thank you john why don't you have a seat breakfast is almost ready" john smiled and made his way to the table and sat down "where is miss rainbow dash and that little dragon" john asked as twilight made her way to the table levitating some eggs and toast with her magic to the plates on the table.

"spike went to help are friend rarity find some gems for her new dress, and dash said she had some important stuff to do and left" they began to eat there breakfast, but just as they began their was a knocking at the door "I wonder who that could be this early in the morning" twilight said getting up and walking to the door, twilight opened the door to see applejack with a look of worry on her face.

"good morning applejack" twilight began before applejack interrupted her "TWILIGHT didn't ya hear the news that outlaw is here in ponyville!" she finished looking even more worried, twilight just smiled at her panicking friend "I know applejack there is no need to be so worried" as twilight finished applejack looked at her like she had just lost her mind "not to worry twilight he's dangerous he could hurt somepony maybe even kill them I think this is a perfect time to worry" said apple jack feeling like she had made her point.

twilight sighed and turn to the kitchen "mr marston could you come here for a second" john then entered from the kitchen "is there a problem miss twilight" "no problem john I wanted to intrudes you to my friend applejack, john marston this is applejack, applejack this is john marston" applejack looked at john for a hole 10 seconds before yelling "ITS HIM! twilight what in the hay has gotten into you that him the outlaw!" john looked down sadly, and as twilight was about to yell back at applejack they heard a loud scream.

applejack turned around to the sores of the scream "that sounds like rarity she's in trouble" applejack said and at that john looked up went to the sofa and grab his hat and put it on his head then ran out the door towards the screaming "john where are you going" twilight said looking at john running " YOU GET RIGHT BACK HERE!, come on twilight I'm not letting him out of my sight for a second" and with that applejack and twilight run after john.

spike was running through ponyville as fast as he could he need to find twilight and the other's fast, but as he was lost in throat he ran into somepony spike fell back and slowly looked up to see john standing over him spike then quickly jumped back up.

"mr marston....rarity....need twilight.." spike was talking fast and not making any senses to john "slow down friend calm down and tell me what happening" john said calmly, spike tuck a deep breath and then spoke "its rarity those diamond dogs ponynapped her again and are holding her hostage in the centre of town" john looked at him taking in all what spike said .

"ok head back to the library and get twilight ill head to the centre of town and ill see what I can do" spike nodded and began running past john and back to the library, john watch him for a second then ran for the town centre.

rainbow dash sat on a cloud enjoying the cool air blowing through her mane when she heard heavy panting, she looked down at ponyville and saw spike running, she then jumped of the cloud and glided down to spike and landed in front of him "hey spike what's happen...." "no time rainbow I need to.." spike began before he saw two pony's running towards them "SPIKE" twilight shouted as her and applejack reached spike and rainbow.

"TWILIGHT its thoughts diamond dogs again they've taken rarity and are holding her hostage at the town centre john went to go help her" "help her more like kill her come on let's get after him" said applejack and then the group ran for the town centre. john finally made it to the town centre and look at the situation in front of him three dogs stood by a fountain the middle one with a red vest was holding a white unicorn with a curled purple mane, the middle dog looked at john and spoke.

"we don't want you pony we want the once who made foals of us and we will have are revenge" john looked at the dogs with anger in his eye's as john and the dogs stared at each other spike, rainbow dash, twilight and applejack made it to town centre watching john and the dogs from a short distance after what seemed like hours the dogs saw twilight and the others then his anger grow then he spoke again.

"there they are now pony step aside so we can take care of them" john looked behind him saw the others then looked back at the diamond dogs with a cold stare "I wouldn't recommend that friend why don't you put the lady down before one of us does something the other will regret" john finished and at this the dogs just laughed "what can you do to us diamond dogs your just a stupid pony with a hat" they continued to laugh john new that these dogs weren't going to back down john looked once more at twilight and her friends and saw fear in their eyes he then went back to the dogs and focused the world seemed to slow down around john as he aimed at one of each of the diamond dogs paws then reached for his revolver grabbed it in his mouth pointed at the dogs put his tongue around the trigger and fired the world came back to normal speed the three bullets hit the dogs paws and as they did they recoiled in pain grabbing their paws at the same time dropping rarity who quickly ran towards twilight and they others, john returned the gun back to its holster and looked at the diamond dogs who looked back in fear.

"diamond dogs retreat!" and then they ran as fast as they could out of ponyville, john watch then run let out a breath forgetting he was holding it, he then turned and made his way to the other.

"rarity are you ok" twilight started putting a hoof on her friends shoulder "yes I'm fine thank you darling" rarity said turning to face john "but I must thank you for saving me kind sir" john smiled and bowed his hat "just trying to help out miss" but before john could continue he saw that pony's were starting to gaver around the group john also saw their eyes were on him and just as he believed it was best for him to start leaving there was a RAR of cheers, not of anger and rage but of celebration and happiness john looked a little confused as the mayor approached john.

"I believe I speak for everypony when I say we thank you so much for saving rarity and getting rid of the diamond dogs you are a hero mr..r" the mayor trailed off looking sheepishly at john "marston john marston" john said fear creeping down him, he knew for sure that they would chase him out of town know that they knew his name but was surprised to see the mayor smile at him "well john marston thank you ever so much and welcome to ponyville" and at this there was another round of cheers from the crowd, john couldn't help but smile a bit he turned to look at twilight who was smiling at him, then a pony came out of the crowd who came to john with a sorry look in her eyes, john recognised her as misses cake the baker who yelled at him to leave her shop.

"mr...marston.." she began as everyponys eyes landed on her "I wanted to apologise for my behaviour when you first arrived I was quick to judge and.." but the rest of her sent ants was cut by john holding up a hoof "don't you worry about it miss I understand its fine" john said with a smile which put a smile on her face, applejack also came to john "me too mr marston my behaviour was unacceptable and" but she too was cut off by john placing a hoof on applejack shoulder "I say it again miss applejack I understand ant no need to apologise" applejack too smiled sheepishly as the crowd began to cheer once more, twilight then came beside john and smiled happily at misses cake and applejack then turned to john "I think we should head back to the library we didn't get to finish breakfast" said twilight john smiled and nodded they then turned and stared walking back as everpony began going their separate ways spike jumped on twilights back as she had stop to speak to rarity "are going to be ok rarity would like to come back to the library with us" "no thank you darling I think ill gust go home it's been a troubling morning" and with that rarity turned and made her way home, twilight smiled and turned to rainbow dash "what about you rainbow would you like to join us" rainbow thought for a moment then shuck her head "no thanks twi I still have a few things to-do" dash lied this put a sad look on twilights face witch curt dash off guard "but I could have lunch later maybe" rainbow said adding a small smile, and by her surprise twilight look back up with a happy look on her face.

"ok I'll see you later dashie" twilight said which made rainbow blush "yeah...right see 'ya" then dash zoomed away quickly, smiling twilight looked at john "well shall we" twilight said "lead the way miss twilight" john replied they then made their way back to the library.

Maine's Log: Yeah sorry it's not good or long but hey nopony is perfect and my stories are not the greatest thing ever I'm sure these another one of these stories around the truth is i tried to do too much at once like twidash and stuff oh well Maine out.
