CHAPTER ONE: Close Call

Everything I see is blurry; the light is dimming around me.

The pain is overwhelming; I feel a warm puddle forming around me.

My breath is getting shorter.

Am I dyeing?

I barley can move my hoofs.

I attempt to get the flare, first try no luck, and second try flare.

I am too weak to use magic so I ignite it with my mouth and hooves.

The flare glows a bright Red, as I slowly drift away.

I regain consciousness with a pounding headache.

I look around to see a tattered and stained tent interior.

I see a rusted, mangled and barely functioning Autodoc rested against the cotton woven wall of the tent.

I heard hoofsteppes coming from the next room over.

The sound grew nearer, then I seen this really nerdy looking earth pony mare approach me.

When I looked at her she made me want to gag, that's how

ugly she is.

She approached me causally.

I sat up on my hind legs in bed, and then I looked her eye to eye trying not to cringe.

She introduced herself as Flower Syringe in this giddy voice.

Fuck, she is ugly and way too happy go lucky.

Can somepony kill me already I don't want to deal with her!

Flower: “Yeah! your awake!

You were sleeping like a foul the past week

When I found you sleeping like a puppy, but only in a puddle

of blood and looked like cut Swiss cheese, so I went to see

if you were still kicking and you were only sleeping!”

I get out of bed.

She guides me to a stable-tech issue vigor tester machine.

The vigor tester is pretty beat up and worn.

It is painted the stable-tech signature colors, yellow and navy blue.

As I approached the vigor tester the screen flickered on.

It is obvious that it used a stable-tech issue v12 magic censer.

I sat down on the tattered stool that the vigor tester came with.

The screen glows a bright green.

The screen flipped a few times and asked me a few questions.

After a half-hour of testing I was complete.

Flower: “Aren't you a bright and lucky one!

Also we're done now, Yeah!

Can you meet me by the flap; I got a big present for you!

If I was here any longer I would kill myself!

I got up off the stool and trotted to the tent flap.

When I reached the flap that lead outside I saw Flower Synge

waiting there anxiously talking to herself out loud.

She was carrying a mint condition cloth satchel, pipbuck 3000,

heavy duty armored coat and a strange magic energy pistol.

Flower: “Here's your present!

All your stuff you had on you when I found you!

Also I got this tiny, tiny computer that fits above your forehoof.”

I know what a fucking pipbuck is, dip shit!

Flower: “I also looked throw this holotape, but there were all these

ponies saying mean, mean words about you.

Also I got this armored jacket for you so that you don't freeze into a

icicle out there.

Bye, bye Ronald!”

I sprinted out of the tent as soon as she told me good bye.
