Rainbow Dash (Post-war Canterlot alley ways)

Its been 5 years after the fall of Equestria to the humans and 1 day after the separation of Rainbow Dash and her friends and now she sits there in the once great city of Canterlot  where ponies used to gracefully enjoy themselves and were more or less happy and when everything used to  seem so lively, hiding in the dingy alleys.

She thought of Fluttershy, she missed her.

"Oh Fluttershy if only I could hold you close once again and tell you its all okay," she thought.

She got up on the trash pile as she heard a noise. She scurried away and hid in the dumpster now fearful which she had never felt ever before.

"Look at me I am a mess paranoid at every sound ever since they took over. I really just need to get a hold of myself," she thought.

No humans have ever come around the ruins of Canterlot since the dawn of the new human city which they called The Holy Empire of Equestria. She was all alone out here running from the fate that was sure to catch up to her.

"If only these monsters didn't come then I wouldn't be in this predicament," she thought to herself as she tried to find out what the source of the noise was.

The noise turned out to be coming from a couple of stray mice no longer in the care of her marefriend,  Fluttershy.

"These monsters have no idea on how this world works do they? The sun hasn't come up for about a month now I hope they didn't kill Celestia or else I don't know how much longer human and ponykind will live," she thought.

She hopped out of my hiding place and studied herself. She was a mess. Her mane was messy, her hooves were bruised and scuffed, she smelt of trash and worst of all her heart was broken.

She thought of her friends, and how they were being taken away before her eyes and she couldn't lift a hoof to help them. She couldn't blow her cover or else no pony could save them. Not that she could do anything anyway...

"I can't even think of plans... I just ain't smart like twilight even in a situation like this...I just hope everypony is okay," she mused, a little bit of true anxiety forming within her which felt awkward to her, like a feeling she had never truly experienced.

The Holy Empire of Equestria...

The 5 Ponies were ushered into a cell and the door was locked. Fluttershy was scared and shaking in the corner. Twilight began to think of plans but she was lost. She had no plans. Fluttershy who was cowering muttered softly in an almost incoherent whisper “Rainbow... I hope shes okay... I-I-I hope.. I just hope... they didn't get her.”

Rarity became frustrated with the condition of the cell “Oh my Celestia this cell is tacky! I can't believe the conditions they want us to live in! I want to file a complaint please!”

Applejack responded in a sarcastic tone, “This here is a cell Rarity. Why the buck would they gives us good living conditions when we are prisoners?”

Rarity was annoyed but accepted Applejack's remark with a resounding “hmph.”

Pinkie was still happy given their current state as she was trying to cheer them up “Hey, guys! How about we offer the nice humans some cake?! Oh wait I know! How about a party!? That would solve everything!” The pink pony shouted jumped around the cell in delight.

Twilight grew a little irritated and explained firmly “Pinkie, I appreciate the help, but I don't think a party or cake will solve our issues at the moment especially since humans have a profound hatred towards our kind for some reason. They obviously didn't come in peace so cake and parties are unlikely solutions.”

Pinkie didn't even take a word that Twilight said seriously “hmm... I know, I know! How about we give them streamers! Or we can use my party cannon i mean who can say no to a party cannon!”

Twilight rolled her eyes at pinkie's profound enthusiasm about the situation “Any ideas, girls?” Twilight asked in a defeat.

Rarity looked around the room “hmm... maybe if I had some fabric we could make a fabric rope and climb out the window? Well that is if we can remove these bars... no scratch that. It wont work.”

Applejack thought to herself for a moment and blurted out “How about we see if we can get some cider and drink our sorrows away seeing as there ain't no possible way we can leave this here cell...”

“OH OH OH I GOT IT! HOW ABOUT WE GIVE THEM SOME PLUSHIES! I MEAN WHO CAN SAY NO TO CUTE LITTLE PLUSHIES!” Pinkie broke the short silence still yammering on about her less than intelligent ideas.

Jason, a prison guard then walked in with one bale of hay “Dinner...” he grunted as he placed the bale in their cell and closed the door and locked it. He walked off with an uninterested expression.

He then walked up the stairs to the top where he reached the common room where his fellow guards were sitting. He walked passed them and sat at a lonely table unwilling to socialize as usual.

Julia, a female guard was talking to some other guards Mike and Will “Hey, boys why is Jason always sitting there like that? He seems so alone he never talks to anyone.” Mike laughed “He's always like that Julie, who honestly gives a shit.”

“Yeah what he said!” Will replied in a loud but an almost incoherent tone.

Julia rolled her eyes “Ya know I have only been here 2 days and I am already sick of you idiots, I am going to try and talk to him.”

She got up and slowly made her way to Jason's table as he was sitting there on his phone. He looked up to see Julia staring at him with concern in her green eyes “Hey... Can I sit with you?” He grunted and replied “Sure... do as you wish” .

She sat down, facing him "So, why do you sit alone? If you don't mind me asking," said Julia.

"Its none of your beeswax," replied Jason still looking at his phone.

Julia studied him. He was a tall guy with black, shoulder length hair and had a solid build. His eyes were hazel brown and he had frown on his face as he sat there looking at his phone.

Julia thought and asked "Hey whatcha doing on your phone? Do you mind sharing?"

Jason was annoyed and she could see it "Can you just leave me alone... I need time to think about my place here," He replied putting his phone swiftly into his pocket and got up leaving to his quarters.

"Hey! Wait Jason I didn't mean to upset you," She exclaimed but her statement fell on deaf ears.

Jason opened the door to his quarters and sat at his desk. He opened a draw and pulled out a photograph. This photograph was of him and her. The love of his life, he began to cry remembering their fate and how it was him who had put an end to his partner. After all she was a pony and it was his duty to oppose them not mention its taboo for a human to be in a relationship with a pony.

Studying the photograph he took notice of her gray coat and how the warmth of it made him feel. He smiled remembering the times they had together. He saw her beautiful golden eyes staring back at him on the photo frame and the wonderful locks of black and blue that were her mane and tail.

He said softly to himself, "Its my fault, I am so sorry, Crystal Gloom I want to make it up to you but I just can't".

Julia was on the other side of the door listening in. She could make out the name and gasped softly finding out about his association with ponykind. She backed away and returned to the common room keeping the secret to herself for now.

Rainbow Dash (Canterlot City)

The City was a ghost town. It was dead quiet besides the sound of Dash's hooves tapping on the pavement.

"I need to find somepony to help me I can't be all alone here," she thought.

" I mean somepony else needs to be here as well," she thought aloud.

She walked around town, looking at all the broken and shattered buildings that used to be stores and restaurants. She remembered the few times she had come there with Twilight to her princess summits and big events like the grand galloping gala and all the fun times they had. The memories housed in these buildings at least still live in their hearts.

She walked along the cracked pavement listening and looking out for any signs of life in the area. She heard some rustling coming from within a old broken building that she believed to have been a bubble store for fillies and colts. Dash took a step closer and studied the seemingly abandoned building for any signs of life. She looks in the window and sees a familiar face, a gray mare with a wall-eyed stare.

"Oh the memories of this little trouble maker," Dash thought.

"That time she destroyed the town hall while trying to 'help'," Dash stared at the mare through the cracked window who was now pulling faces at her. Dash face-hoofed and entered the shop to attempt to talk some sense into her.

"Uhh Derpy is it?" Dash asked as she approached the mare.

She nodded and exclaimed "Hello Rainbow Dash! I am just looking for some bubbles you didn't happen to have seen any?!"

Dash rolled her eyes, "Uhh Derpy I don't know if you've noticed but the past 5 years have been chaos! We had an all out war and you are looking for bubbles?! Bubbles are the least of our worries now!" Dash exclaimed, harshly.

Derpy looked at Dash confused "Oh so that was what the explosions and stuff were all about?" she asked.

"Yes, I can't believe you didn't notice," Dash replied with a hint of amazement in her voice.

"Well Rainbow Dash, I am going to fly somewhere else to find my bubbles so talk to you later maybe," She said kindly as she took off not waiting for an answer, mumbling to herself about bubbles and muffins.

Dash face-hoofed, "Why of all ponies did i have to find her?" she thought.

"Well I suppose I was a little harsh on her both times we've met. I need to remember that she has a difficulty and not persecute her for it. But that was just crazy how she didn't even know a war was going on," she mused as she continued searching for help in this barren waste land of a city.

She came to a stop and thought about her situation.

"I'm never gonna get help, its hopeless we may as well just submit to these monsters and do their bidding. I mean we lost all military personnel and we hardly have any way of putting up a good resistance." She sat on the old broken side walk musing to herself starring into the polluted sky which was slowly losing its bright colours.

The Holy Empire of Equestria (Jason's Quarters)

Jason sat at his desk, the picture now out of the frame in his left hand as he held a lighter in his other.

"I can't keep reminding myself of that filthy pony! I need to wash myself clean and regain the trust of my fellow men," he thought as he began to cry.

He flipped the lighter and bought the flame to the picture and watched it slowly burn away as tears streamed down his face.

"Don't cry you pansy! You are a recruit now, you have to grow up and grow a pair!" he thought angrily to himself as the picture now dissipated in his hand he let go, the flame missing his hand by a few centimeters.

He sat in silence musing to himself for the rest of the evening before retiring for sleep.

The Holy Empire of Equestria(Dungeons)

Twilight was up late as usual one reason being her usual night time insomnia and the other being the fact that their beds are just hay piles and are very uncomfortable. Though pinkie was sleeping like a baby, the others all seemed restless. Twilight looked out the barred window thinking to herself "hmm wait a second, I wonder if they use magic impairment mechanisms."

She tried to use her horn to levitate a small piece of hay from the ground. She expected that they had been smart enough to employ magic impairment, but she was wrong as her horn worked just fine, she levitated the piece of hay off the ground and sent it flying At the wall.

"Well, no magic limiters either. Perfect" she mused as she came up with an escape plan.

She woke everypony up and explained her plan to teleport everypony outside the prison so they could go and search for Dash and try and formulate a resistance team powerful enough to regain their land and knock those human suckers right off the throne that rightfully belongs to them.

They were eager to get out of there, but Rarity had a question on her mind.

"Twilight dear? Don't you think they'll notice we're gone and find us pretty easy?"

Twilight forgot to consider that possibility. She contemplated a solution as they all waited patiently for her response.

" I guess we can't solve that problem. But if we get far enough and travel to a far away place the likelihood of us being captured again is quite low. So I guess we gotta travel through the night at least until we reach a place where we believe to be safe enough for us to rest." Twilight responded.

They all nodded in agreement to her plan. Twilight began to charge up a teleport spell. Teleporting everypony at once was a hard task, but she succeeded as they were all transported to the outside of the prison.

"Now girls, we gotta be quiet until we get further away from the empire." Twilight explained.

"Wooo hoo! Freedom! Now where is my party cannon cause we need a party!" Pinkie Yelled.

"Shh, sugarcube quiet," Applejack whispered.

"Aww you know i suck at whispering" Pinkie whispered back.

"Well its either that or we're going back to this here prison," Applejack said.

"Yeah prison's no fun, so I'll whisper,"  Pinkie responded as they began walking towards the large fields ahead.

They set off on their adventure to find rainbow dash and defeat the humans.
