Chapters The Replacement Lord of Chaos
Somewhere in a dark void-like place, one humanoid being and one gas-like being were having a conversation.
The humanoid being was female, she wore a plain white t-shirt and a plain white skirt. But, her body was made out of complete darkness, her eyes were the only thing that were considered normal. Her name is Stacy
The gas-like being was a, um ... something, but if he had to he would consider himself a male. His body was also pitch black. He, has no name.
"So Discord failed?" the dark being asked.
"Yes, I really thought he could do it, he was able to to cause chaos for a short time, even though he went power crazy, but he couldn't change a thing. I even broke him out after a thousand years. Thinking that he had learned his lesson and would not make the same mistakes," Stacy replied
"And how did that go?" he asked
And they would be talking back and forth for awhile
"Nothing changed. I guess I could've chosen someone that wasn't so"
"Well it seems you're not as smart as you think,"
"I thought he would actually think about others and not go insane!"
"Well what do you propose now?"
"We try again, but differently! We could chose a changeling, but if that got out of hand we might have to deal with an entire army. We could chose a minotaur, but they only care about their body. We could chose a griffon, but they only care about money. We could chose a dragon, but those are just basically bigger griffons,"
"Anything else?"
"What about a pony?"
"No, they would never ruin Celestia's 'perfect' world,"
"Buffalo, donkey, Breezie?"
"Nope, they're just like ponies,"
"Well do you have any ideas?"
"I'm not the expert here, I'm the one who hired the expert, So tell me, what do we do Expert ?"
"Well there is ONE species that I think will be perfect,"
"What,"
"A human,"
"And what is a human?"
"According to this device here, a human is a human being,"
"And what does that mean?"
"Fine I'll explain it myself. A human is the descendent of the apes. They are scientificly called Homo sapiens. They survived everything the world threw at them using their brains. They have invented lots of stuff. One of the things they made is right here in my hands,"
"Yeah, what is that?"
"It is called the internet. It is a great source of information, entertainment and even shopping!"
"All with that tiny thing in your hand?"
"Yes but that is not important now. The reason I chose to choose a human is because, one their minds, two they are born neutral and three I really like their design, I'm even in the body of one,"
"So that is what you are,"
"Thanks but let me explain my reasons,"
"Ok then,"
"Alright, let us start with reason one, their minds. A human mind is really ... strong. It is a lot harder to actually look into let alone change anything so any mind control spells won't work on them, and they will be able to control magic more easily cause of the more brain power. And they even might be able to make something new out of the resources in equestria,"
"And reason two?"
"I don't want whoever we chose to take sides,"
"Alright but before we choose our human we need to talk with Discord,"
"Ok,"
The gas-like being spoke an incantation and instantly, Discord appeared holding a seven iron golf club and wearing tradional scottish attire.
"Fore!"Discord swung his club only to discover that he was in some sort of void.
"Why hello Discord, I am the one who summoned you here, we have something we would like to talk to you about,"
"And who do I have the pleasure of talking with?" Discord said while snaping his stuff away.
While Stacy introduced herself, the gas-like being had to think for awhile for he didn't have a name. after a short time he named himself Calgo. After Calgo introduced himself, Discord poofed himself glass of water.
"Splendid! Now tell me, why did you summon me here?" Discord took a sip from the recently appeared glass of water.
"We just want to tell you that you will no longer be the lord of chaos,"said Stacy.
Right after Dacy finished talking ,Discord spat all the water in his mouth right on to Stacy.
"What?" asked Discord thinking that he had heard her incorrectly.
"Your position of lord of chaos will be revoked and given to someone else," she says once again slightly annoyed.
"HAHAHAHA, oh that is a good joke," Discord falls on the floor laughing till he couldn't breath anymore.
"She's serious Discord," Calgo said.
"Hehe, she is?" asked Discord slowly.
Calgo nods slowly, confirming Discord's fear.
"But why?" Discord asked.
"Because haven't caused any real chaos in years," replied Calgo.
"W-Wha- I have done lots of chaos thank you very much," said Discord acting offended.
"You caused chaos in one location for one day," said Stacy bluntly.
"I got stoped by the Elements of Harmony!"
"That beam moved like three meters per second!"
"I was in the moment!"
"Shut up!" Calgo interrupted Discord and Dacy in the middle of their argument.
"Discord you will only be losing your magic, you will be given normal magic," said Calgo suprising Discord.
"Wait, what?" asked Discord fairly confused.
"We are replacing you not killing you, so that means we will be replacing your magic as well." Explained Calgo.
Discord poofed a chair into existence and sat down looking a bit calmer.
"Ok, so when are you replacing my magic?" he asked
"Right about... now." Stacy replied
And that moment Discord felt different. He felt weaker. Discord stood up, but had a hard time keeping his balance from a lack of standing on two legs for long periods of time.
"Hey I have another question, what are you guys?" Discord asked
"um," but before anyone could answer, Discord was suddenly in Fluttershy's cottage
Angel, who was sitting on the couch, got suprised by Discord's sudden appearance and fell off the couch. Angry at Discord, Angel walked over and kicked him in the shin and sat back down on the couch.
Fluttershy came out of Kitchen. "Oh, hello Discord I didn't see you there how was your little game?"
"It was fine," Discord replied feeling a little tired. "Hey Fluttershy, I'm going to go out for a walk."
"Ok, would you like me to give you a drink?" Fluttershy brang out two cups of tea on her back.
Discord was walking towards the door. "No I'm good, see you later."
After Discord left the house, Angel talked (using paw gestures) with Fluttershy.
"I don't think he acted that strange, he acted a little down but I don't think that is anything, but if you really want me to talk to him I will." Fluttershy decided to drink some tea, but then remembered something.
"Oh my gosh! I totally forgot about Twilight's book that I've got, I have to return it today. I'm sorry Angel but I'll be back soon!" Fluttershy trotted out the door in a hurry, leaving Angel to sleep on the couch.
Discord walked for a long time, he didn't want to talk to anybody so he tried to take a walk in the everfree forest, but he soon realized that he couldn't defend himself if he were to be attacked by timberwolves, so he took to the white tail woods, It was spring so there really wasn't a reason for anybody to be out there.
His head hanged low. 'I wonder what I'm supposed to do now, I don't have chaos so I can't just feed myself, I'll actually have to get a job and work and get a house. I wonder I'm still imortal, ugh this is the first time I had to be this serious since I was born,' and he just kept walking, thinking to himself and feeling worse and worse every second. After awhile he decieded to talk to his friends about this, espiecally his favorite one, Fluttershy.
He headed back to Fluttershy's place to talk with her, but found that she was not there, Discord asked Angel where she was and he showed him that Fluttershy was at Twilight's castle,Discord thought he should also tell Twilight of his little problem Discord managed to walk to Twilight's castle while ignoring all the stares he got from all the ponies who were looking at the lord of chaos walkng .
He knocked on the door and heard twilight say "come in".
After he went through the door he went straight to Twilight. Once he got to Twilight, he saw her talking with Fluttershy.
"Oh, hello Discord we were just talking about you," Twilight looked over with a smile on her face.
"Fluttershy said that you were acting strange, is this true," asked Twilight.
"Well, I do have something I want to talk about, but I only want to talk about it with the gang," Discord sat down on a nearby chair.
After about twenty minutes the gang assembled in the main room, but one of the ponies wasn't exactly happy.
"Ugh, why do we have to do this, I'm so tired," said the sleepy Rainbow Dash.
"Rainbow, it's ten o'clock!" exlcaimed Applejack.
"But it's a Sunday," replied Rainbow Dash
"I always sleep in on sundays, but I always keep one eye open in case somepony has a frown that needs to be turned upside down," Pinkie hops into the conversation.
"As do I, I do need my beauty sleep," said Rarity
"Ugh fine, let's forget about it, so why did you call us here ,Twilight?" asked Applejack.
Before Twilight could answer the question, Fluttershy answers it for her, "Discord says that he wants to share something with us and wants to talk about it in private."
Shortly after, Discord walks into the room with a glass of water, "Hello."
Twilight speaks first, "So Discord, what did you want to discuss?"
Discord delayed his answer, it felt like a few minutes for the ponies, but for Discord it was an eternity, but Discord finally managed to break it to them.
"I am no longer the lord of chaos."
Discord let this sentence sink into the mind of ponies. The Ponies all had different reactions. Though he couldn't see it, he could clearly feel what was going on in their heads.
Twilights reaction was 'How would that work?'
Applejacks reaction was ' Well ain't that a bit queer.'
Pinkies reaction was 'No more chocolate rain.'
Rainbow Dashs reaction was 'I knew this was a lame joke.'
Raritys reaction was 'This is preposterous.'
Fluttershys reaction was "Oh you poor thing!"
Fluttershy flew up to Discord's chest with all the power she had and hugged him.
"Oh it must be awful to lose something you hold so dear," Fluttershy whispered.
"It hasn't been that bad, I kept getting a lot of stares, but it didn't bother me. I wonder whan this 'new lord of chaos' is going to be like." Discord took a sip from his glass.
Somewhere near the gates of Canterlot, a man in a cloak held out a map of Equestria.
"Looks like ... this is Canterlot, wonder what I'll meet here," and he marched, straight to Canterlot.
The Replacement Lord of Chaos
*Beep**Beep**Beep*
I woke up to the sound of my alarm beeping, like it does everytime I don't want to wake up. I tried to shut it off only to find that the alarm is not where I thought it was. I opened my eyes to see what the problem was and did not see anything at all, complete darkness. I looked at my body and saw that I can see my body just fine. (So not darkness. Not in bed either.)
I stood up off the invisible ground and started to walk forward in hopes of finding some sort of landmark. Before I made it far I heard a voice behind me.
"Ok, timers up, time to inject th- you're awake!" The voice was like a 20 year old female. I turned around to see human clothes but not a human female.
"Why hello there, my name is Stacy. What's your name?" The Woman asked me.
Looking at this woman was unbelievable. She had the shape and body of a human, but had a pitch dark body. She wore normal clothes and had normal eyes though. That's a plus.
"Um, hi," I said.
"Yes, what's your Name?" she asked once again.
"Uh, Keaton," I said.
"Great, that name is great!" She bounced upon hearing my name.
"Ok?" I still have no idea what's going on.
"So. What's going on?" I asked.
"This is a job interview, stupid," she said jokingly.
"I don't even know you're name."
"It's Stacy."
"Ok, 'Stacy' what's this about a job interview," I asked a bit annoyed.
"Before we begin, you seem a little hostile. Is there any reason for this?" She asked.
"I was sleeping in my bed yesterday with all the doors and windows into my apartment locked. And yet the next day. I'm stuck in some weird void place with an alien woman asking me for an interview!" I exclaimed.
"Well you don't have to be mean about."
"Well you didn't have to kidnap me!"
"Let's just finish the interview ok."
"Fine."
Stacy told me to sit down and I did. I stood back up and turned around when I realized that I sat on a sofa, and I saw a sofa. I turned back around and found that Stacy was sitting on a chair behind a desk. I asked her what the heck was going on and she said 'Magic'. I sat back down a bit skeptical and did the interview. After the interview finished. Stacy gave me a copy of what she wrote down.

"What's a type three loner?" I asked.
"A loner who likes being with other people, but prefers to be alone."
I gave her the paper back and she gave me another paper.
"This details everything you need to know about the job."
Lord of Chaos
Job description: Cause chaos. Definition of chaos: complete disorder and confusion.
By signing this contract you hereby agree to become the Lord of Chaos. By becoming the Lord of Chaos you will be given Chaos Magic, immortality and increased or decreased luck/charisma depending on your actions. Chaos Magic is more powerful and is able to do more things than normal magic but will require more concentration than normal magic to get the intended result.
For example: Let's say that you want to eat cereal and you do not have a spoon. Using Chaos Magic, you can summon a spoon into existence. Normal magic can not do this. But if the summoner does not have an increased concentration the object summoned may not be a spoon but something similar, like a fork or a knife. The similarities of the not intended object to the intended object may vary depending on the concentration level. A more complex object will require more concentration.
Depending on what your Cutie mark Special talent is. It well affect the way you use your magic.
Chaos magic can also influence other living beings. If the particapant allows the influence the influence them, the influence will easily be able to influence them. The bigger changes require more concentration. Same requirements as previously mentioned.

"You done?" She asked
"Yes. By the way, why are the Symbols crossed out on the contract?" I asked.
"That's my real name. Mortals can't understand it so I picked a name from one of the creatures in Equestria." said Stacy.
"Oh, here's a pen if you agree to the contract." She handed me a pen with the letters TT stamped on it. And, I signed the piece of paper.
Stacy looked delighted and squealed with glee. She then teleported me (Still have no real idea on how that works) to a room that looked like a living room. she explained that if I ever need any help with 'the job' I could just teleport here.
And then, I was in the middle of a forest. With no supplies. No idea how to use magic. Completely alone.
This is going to be a long day.
"So this ... human agreed to the contract?" After Keaton got teleported out of 'The Room' Stacy teleported herself out of 'The Room' and to Calgo.
"Yup."
"And this human is not like the others?"
"Nope."
"Did you have to try and 'persuade' them like you tried doing with all the others?"
"Haha, no!"
"Really? This human must be quite different if he agreed to this contract without you doing anything."
"He was actually pretty standard. Here's what I wrote down." Stacy threw the piece of paper into the black smoke that was Calgo.
Calgo spat out the piece of paper, "A loner? This will be interesting. A loner in a land where friendship is valued above all else." Calgo laughed a bit.
"Well, Enough about that. Did you remember to go through all the procedures? Especially the last one."
Stacy blushed, "Oopsie."
"Ugh, you're supposed to be the expert here, and you can't even follow the rules. And by not following the rules, someone could've figured out who and where we are!" Calgo was not happy with Stacy for breaking all of the procedures.
"Well ... I thought that if we do things a little differently things would be better." While Calgo didn't like this answer. It had to do. Calgo teleported Stacy out of the void-place and just sat there.
At Twilight's library. Twilight and the gang was planning a trip to Vanhoover.
"This is going to be great Spike. I've only been to Vanhoover once and that was only because of Princess dutys. But now I can really take in all the scenery. Did you know the Vanhoover has the biggest and the most famous museum in all of Equestria!" Twilight turned to Spike who was reading the latest issue of Power ponies.
Twilight read the title of the comic, 'The Power Ponies trip to Goatem City', "What's going on in your comic, Spike?"
"In this issue, the power ponies are helping out a fellow hero, who's name is Bat Mane, against a brand new villian in Goatem city." Spike showed Twilight the page he was reading, "The new villian's name is 'The Hunter'. The Hunter is a minotaur that has two special weapons that can shoot out tiny metal pellets faster than Fili-second can run."
"That's interesting. But you need to start packing soon, We're leaving tomorrow morning." Spike put down his comic and started packing for tomorrow.
The Replacement Lord of Chaos
Keaton wandered the forest for about an twenty minutes. And he was loving it. All the trees and plants that are everywhere, all the little animals scuttling about, it was amazing, this world was amazing. He wasn't thinking about all the 'Lord of Chaos' business though. Needed to get started on that. But now, he was taking in all the scenery.
"This place is so colorful and so cartoony, so peaceful and alive. I wonder what I should do next? Hey, that rock looks like a spoon." When Keaton looked at the spoon rock which was about three feet. He heard a strange noise behind him. He ignored this and moved on. Keaton walked on the path. But suddenly everything went black for Keaton for a few moments before his vision returned to normal. Keaton looked around, checking if anything had changed and saw the spoon rock once again. Keaton walked forward and the exact same thing happened over and over again. And each time he saw the spoon rock, the strange noise got louder and louder, turning into some sort of growl.
"Ok, what's going on here. Am I being chased by some sort of monster or something? Because I do not normally react to something like this this way, and it feels great." Keaton turned around and heard the growl again, but louder.
Keaton then walked towards the growling sound. He saw two purple glowing eyes, each looking straight at him. Keaton stepped back and the creature stepped out from between the trees.
After the creature stepped out from between the trees, it showed it's whole body. The body of the creature looked like the body of a lion. But the tail was that of a scorpian, and it had wings from a bat. The whole body was purple and had a purple glow around it. The eyes, mouth, and the tip of the scorpian tail were glowing purple. All over the creature's body were different kinds of markings. The creature looked very scary, but in a way, it also looked very cute.
Without thinking, Keaton grabbed the nearest thing around him to use as a weapon or some kind of protection, and picked up the spoon rock.
"Um, don't come near me, I have a spoon." Keaton pointed the spoon at the creature, hoping that it would leave him alone. But to no avail. The creature just kept getting closer and closer, and Keaton kept moving backwards. Right until he bumped into a tree.
Keaton turned his head left and right in hopes of finding a way out. And he ran. he looked behind him and saw that the creature did not chase him. But when he looked forward he saw the creature just standing there, waiting for him. He turned around and ran forward, but the same thing happened.
"Look, I know you want to eat me, but I will not let you do that so I will use this spoon to slay you," Keaton hit the creature with the rock. Upon impact the rock split into two.
Keaton looked at the face of the creature and gave a weak smile. As Keaton stepped back the strangest thing happened.
The creature started to laugh.
"Oh you are so funny. The funniest thing I have seen in the hundreds of years I have been here."
Keaton heard a voice coming from the creature's mouth. The voice of a woman.
"Hello?" said Keaton.
"You are nothing like I have ever seen in my entire life. And a taraxippus lives for a very long time."
"What is a taraxippus?"
"A taraxippus is a kind of ghost that scares away creatures from a specific point and eats anything that gets through."
"Oh no, we do not look like manticores. This Manticore is merely my pet. I am using her to communicate with you with out you seeing me."
"And why am I not allowed to see you?" asked Keaton.
"Because I chose that option."
"Ok. So ... can I leave now? You don't seem to be be eating me, so I take it that you want me to leave," Keaton started walking backwards.
"Nope. I'm going to learn more about you, and you're not going to go anywhere until I'm done with you. And if you try and run away I will rip out your heart and eat it right infront of you," The taraxippus showed her manticore's teeth to Keaton.
"Ok, so what do we do now? You're the one in control," Keaton walked over to a nearby tree and sat at the trunk.
"I will be taking you to my pet's den. You will reside there until I choose choose otherwise. Got it?" she asked.
"Yup, lead the way."
The taraxippus's eyes started to glow brighter and Keaton got sorrounded by a purple glow. Keaton then floated floated up into the air. He floated up to Lilith and landed on Lilith's back. Then Lilith began to walk towards the 'den'.
"I don't believe that we properly met earlyer. My name is Lilith. What is yours?" Lilith asked.
"Keaton."
"Keaton? Interesting name. I always love meet new individuals. Tell me, what are you?"
"Um, I'm a human, or Homo sapien if you want to be scientific. We are very smart. Or at least the smart ones are," the moment was followed by silence until Keaton spoke again. "I think it would be better if you asked questions."
"Alright, can Homo sapiens use magic of any kind?" Lilith asked.
"No." Keaton replied.
"Really? That's strange. I can sense some powerful magic inside of you, all waiting to be let out. All in one big explosion," Lilith said.
"I got that under special circumstances."
"Would you like to tell me?"
"I would like to tell you, but I'm still understanding this whole magic thing myself."
After a few short moments, the pair began to see lots of buckets attached to all the trees with sap dripping out of them.
"What's with all the buckets?" Keaton asked.
"The ponies that live in the nearby town collect sap from the trees. They don't come here often." Lilith walked over to one of the buckets and drank from it, "They think it takes a while to get sap, but really it's just me taking them for myself and my pet."
"Ponies?"
"Yes, ponies."
"You mean like the horses?"
"No, like ponies. Do you not know what a pony is?"
"Nope, never heard of them."
"Ok, let run down on what a pony is. A pony is one of the most powerful species in Equestria. There are four types. The first one is the Earth pony, they are physically stronger and can control and grow plants more easily than other the other races. The second race is called the Pegasus, they can fly using their wings, they can control the weather and they are more agile. The third race is called the Unicorn, they can cast magic which can do all kinds of different things. Some easier than others depending on the unicorn's cutie mark. The last one is the Alicorn, they have all the traits of the other ponies. They are also a lot more powerful than the other races. Do you understand that?" Lilith asked.
"By 'races' does that mean just ponies or are there lots of races?" Keaton asked.
"Well there are dozons of races, but I do mean just ponies." Lilith replied.
"What is a cutie mark?"
"It signifies the talent of the pony. Any more questions?"
"Alright then, Ah, look we're already here," When the pair looked at their surroundings they were at the entrance to a cave. "We're not at my pet's den just yet, it's deep inside this cave."
They started walking into the cave. They went through many twists and turns but eventually they made it to the the den. Keaton asked how Lilith managed to memorize the path. She replied that she didn't memorize it and that the path changes everytime someone enters the cave it changes. He asked the same question, how did she manage to get through the caves.
And she replied, "You just feel it."
Lilith showed Keaton the hay bed that he will be sleeping in until she decides to let him go. Lilith encouraged Keaton to sleep, for it was getting late. And so, Keaton went to sleep.
"Spike?" Twilight called.
Twilight and the gang were on the train to Vanhoover. It was night time so they all were sleeping in their beds. But something woke up Twilight. She looked around and saw Spike sitting in his bed with a flashlight in claw.
"Spike, what are you doing up at this hour?"
"I'm reading my comic," said Spike. "The Hunter has injured almost all of the power ponies using his special weapons. But the Masked Matter-Horn managed to steal one of the weapons and they are studying the weapon in order to figure out how to stop it."
"You must really like this Comic, Spike," replied Twilight.
"It feels like this comic goes on forever."
"I'm sure that it's a great comic."
"Are you two having a sleepover?"
While Spike and Twilight were talking, Pinkie Pie appeared between the two.
"Ah!" Twilight screamed loud enough to wake everypony (except Rainbow Dash) in the cart.
"What's all the fuss about?" Applejack asked.
"Yes, what's wrong, darling?" Rarity asked.
"Is something going on?" Fluttershy asked.
"Twilight and Spike here thought it was ok to have a sleepover without inviting me!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed, "The nerve of someponies."
"We weren't having a sleepover. Spike was just reading his comics really late and I told him to stop."
"Well, can you please go back to bed. I had a big day yesterday and I need some sleep," said Rarity.
"Alright, alright, I'll go to bed. I was just reading," Spike whispered.
And everypony went back to bed after that event.
Keaton woke up feeling better than the night before.
He decided to look around in more detail. Torchs littered the walls. And that was about it, there wasn't really anything in the den. Only about ten haystacks were on the floor.
Keaton looked over Lilith who was sleeping on one of the haystacks. Keaton walked over to Lilith and shoke her awake.
"Hey, Lilith, get up," said Keaton.
Lilith woke up and looked at Keaton. She yawned and fell back asleep.
"Um, ok."
Lilith woke back up and looked at Keaton, "Sorry there, I wasn't possessing her. Could you repeat that?"
"nevermind."
"Alright, new day, let's get started. Yesterday I wanted to know what humans are and what humans can do. Now you can answer my questions all I want."
And so the two talked about humans for the rest of the day. Anatomy, diet, occupations, technology, internet, beliefs, everything. After a while Lilith allowed Keaton to ask Lilith anything she knows about the world.
"You can't seem to notice me when I am in my ghost form. I tried to get your attention back in that forest, but you didn't notice me. I was already awake when you woke up and you still didn't notice me. I couldn't interact with you either," said Lilith.
"That's strange. I hope that doesn't get in the way of anything in the future," said Keaton.
"Another thing. Why are you so nice to me? It can't just be that you don't know anything about my species."
"Well. I don't know why, but I just want to talk to you for some reason."
"Ok."
"I think we're done now." Lilith stood up and walked near the exit.
"What do you mean?" Keaton asked.
"I asked you all the questions that I wanted to ask. And I want you leave now."
"Really?"
"Yes, there is a town not far from here. Just exit the cave and head right along the path."
"Um, Ok. Goodbye, Lilith."
"Goodbye, Keaton."
Keaton stood up headed to the exit. He looked back at Lilith with a smile and left the cave.
