They are my passion, the way they look in the mares and stallions around me, drive me crazy. Hourglasses, flowers, stars, apples, carrots. I've seen many cutie marks in my travels and have tried some...They not taste quite what they are supposed, like it depicts on the flank. Sometimes, they taste like shit but regardless of that. I do it on the hopes I'll get mine. Since I was a little stallion, I was never able to get mine and the doctor told me I'll never get it. That... it's a condition. Since then, I've been trying to get my Cutie Mark. Accidents happen in my search for them, ponies stop moving when I'm done with them... And that makes me feel slightly better. I envy them. My travels have take me through Manehattan, Las Pegasus, Canterlot, Fillydelphia. I was born on Baltimare and 25 years have passed since I left home. But I'm not going back. I'm not welcome there anymore. I awake from my day-dreaming as the conductor yells at the top of his lungs, "Next stop! Ponyville!" I exit the the vagon and inhale the air, a bad decision, it still smells like monoxide and I cough visiously. However, at the same time it helps as I hear a mare's voice, "Hey, you okay?" I smile at her direction and reply with my best smooth voice, "I'm okay, thanks for asking. Name's Dapper Masquerade, may I know yours, beauty?", I extend my hoof for a hoof-shake as I make a small reverence. She extends her hoof and graps hers in mine, "I'm Peach Petal, nice to meet you", I notice a certain attraction for me in her and go to plant a kiss on her hoof, "Whoa! What are you doing?!" She blushes slightly. No, I forgot this is not Canterlot. Doing that for almost five years takes its toil, "Sorry, I've been in Canterlot for so long that becomes a force of habit but sincere non the less. I don't bite unless, I'm asked to ;)" She blushes harder. I take this opportunity, "Let me invite you for a bite, what do you say? My treat." She tries to look at my eyes but ends up watching the floor, "I don't know, I have so much to do right now..." I try to push her with a warm smile, "Oh, come on. Take this as a small break and then you can go back to your bussiness. It's free~ :)" She looks at me and smiles noding, "Okay, I guess, I can take a couple of minutes to eat something. I'm kind of hungry, lead the way" I smile playfully, "I'm new to this town. Maybe you could lead the way?" Peach turns embarrased, "Oh, yeah! Silly me, I just assumed that you knew~ :3" I chuckle, "No worries. You couldn't have know" We start to talk and chat around the town. She tells me about her life and her job. She is a gardener like most of the ponies in this town and sells her peaches but to be honest. I didn't care in the slightest... Except for the story of how she got her cutie mark. When she was a little filly. Peach would play around with his friends. Until, she was left alone for being the only one without a Cutie Mark. And she would get abused by his ex-friends for not getting one. One fateful day, she gets lost on the Everfree for a month without a way out. If it wasn't for his peach, the only one she had on her saddle-bag. This peach was eaten and used to plant a tree with great love and care. It grew in a size so large for a little amount of time that she was located after the spectacle. She got her Cutie Mark after she used all her natural magic which caused her to black out. We finally get to a place called 'Flowers and Snacks' and sit on one of the outdoor tables as she keeps her chit-chat. She is excited about this conversation. The waiter approaches and asks for our order giving us the menu, she asks for a 'Daisy Sandwich' and I ask for the same with a salad. The waiter leaves us alone to get our orders. She smiles and looks at my eyes, "So, why did you came to Ponyville?" I chuckle and look at her eyes, "I'm searching for something because I feel empty. I've been searching for 25 years now without success." She stares wide eyed at me and exclaims, "Wow, that's been a long time! And you haven't found it? I wish the best on your quest Dapper" I stare deeply at her eyes and chuckle giving a warm smile as I touch her hoof with mine, "I might just found it. After all this time." She blushes furiously and stammers, "I...I-I d-don't know what t-to say. This is all very sudden!" I look deeper on to her eyes and give her my best sincere look, "This is love at first sight. I have never felt this before and I feel like I have met you my whole life. Like the emptyness is fulfilled whenever I look straight into your eyes." She is still blushing but hesitates, "I-i'm flattered but I can't..." The waiter arrives with the orders, "Here, sir, madam, your orders." Peach turns her head towards the waiter and smiles, "Thanks" I nod towards the waiter in thanks. I stare at her eyes again, she looks confused, "Please, just give me a chance. I promise to make it worthwhile." She looks down at her daisy sandwich for a moment and then towards me, "I-I-I... will." I give her my best warm smile, "I'm so relieved that you accepted my feelings. We should eat. We have been under an emotional roller-coaster." She smiles back at me and proceeds to eat her sandwich with gusto. I do the same as we eat on silence. After, we are done with our food. I call the waiter for the account which I pay with a smile. Peach stands up and looks at me with a smile, "You could help me with my chores for the day. Why don't you accompany me?" I nod and smile, "I would do so with pleasure." The day goes by and with every chore we do together. I feel more and more unable to hold myself. I want that Cutie Mark, NOW. We are finally finishing. She tells me that we are done for day, "Uhmm... do you wanna come to my place? I... mean. You just arrived and you don't have anywhere else to go..." Perfect, she just goes and do this easy for me, "I gladly accept your invitation and I will make sure you don't forget this day ;)" Peach blushes with a vengeance, "I-I-I hope so..." Peach's place in nearby the market and I'm glad everyone is already going home. This will make it easier, this is why I love small towns. Finally, we reach her place. A small house with one floor, I come in and stand by the door as I look in delight her home as I give a couple of tentative steps towards the stairs. "Like what you see?" I turn around to see that Peach is resting on her couch in a very promising position, "You know. Today has been a very hard day and I would LOVE to use a BIG relieve."
