"Fine," the human harrumphed grouchily. "But first a riddle.

I will deal with you at the appropriate time." Darkus calmly said to the black alicorn maiden. "discord draw a card and charge mana. Just give me something to squelch."

"Good now I'm going to play 'inverse reverse divider' I pay 3 LP to wipe the field of any traps."

"Your . . . . welcome?" Discord said arching one eyebrow skeptically. All of a sudden Nyx felt a black flow of magic roil out of Darkus. It was so thick and heavy Nyx set a barrier to protect her self form the oppressive mana.

"Discord if Darkus was dangerous before he now a 100 times stronger! now. be. Careful!"

"Yes Fluttershy. Seesh!, give me some credit ya little black alicorn Worrywart." the Draconequus  grumbled "is every one ready to party hearty I cast 'shock value'(spell, core attribute) first I draw four cards. Charge two and cast my 'chaos cataclysm'(strike, core attribute,

1 mana) twice! two huge fluffy pink dice landed in front spinning in three directions at once. One stopped on '3' the other '1'. "Oh poo. well at least you take four damage, take that! ha ha"

Darkus simply looked at discord with a grin that rivaled the cat on the playing field. Then broke into peals raucous maniacal laughter.

" You know Nyx iI think he just maybe more Loco in the Coco then me." Discord said with a worried frown.

"Yeah I know what you mean" Nyx deadpanned. "What so funny? Did we miss some kind of joke?"

"Let me tell what an honor fighting some monster with the tenth of the skill or hundredth of the power but as they say 'Toutes Les Choses Ont Une fin.' 'Hand mirror of  betrayal'(counter-spell, light attribute, reverse any strike spell for 1 LP)and this is final counter 'shadow booster'

Since you were called forth against my will you must be very strong magically or share the same magical signature. Looking at your aura you've much potential in the black arts but are surprisingly pure of heart. Ok I think I can fool the gates but I need a favor but only if your willing."

"But what if there was a tie? Why was I called here? Where is here? What do I have to do? Is it dangerous? I want to go home!!" Nyx bawled her questions crying two torrents down her pretty face.

Nyx was no applejack when it came to lies but she was getting hungry and the rosy red seed smelt so good. With out a second thought   Nyx devoured the nut and swallowed in five sec. flat.

"Oh." Nyx said as they locked lips.

Darkus smiled a kind smile at  the white unicorn then downed the pot in a matter of minutes then let loose a thundering belch.

"Thank you my dear young spellcaster that hit the spot nicely. Now I need to sleep." Darkus  said dozing into dreamland.
