Bejeweled: The Quest for the Prism
Prolouge
It was just normal day in Ponyville, the sun was casting its beautiful light, the birds were flying, and the Main 6 was having a wonderful time with one another. Twilight had suggested a picnic with her friends for a little get-together because why not right? As everyone was finished preparing the snacks and plates, they all sat down.
"Oh, today is just gorgeous out, just gorgeous!" She says gleefully. Fluttershy nods as Rainbow and Applejack were talking amongst themselves. Rainbow looked at Rarity weirdly.
"Is it just me or does I feel a sense of deja vu?" Rainbow asked as Applejack shrugged. As everyone was talking to one another, everyone started to hear footsteps running towards them. Twilight turned to see Spike panting.
"What is it Spike?" She asked. Spike kept breathing heavily and speaking inaudible words, though he didn't need words to describe a burped out letter.
"No seriously! Deja vu anypony?" Everyone just looked at her strangely. Twilight opened the scroll.
"What does it say?" Rarity asked.
"It says that I have to go to Canterlot right away." She says as everyone gathered around.
Dear Twilight Sparkle,
It has come to my attention that another evil has risen, but not from our world. Our friend from said world has requested our assistance, more specifically yours. He states that his brother is planning to take over their universe. More details shall be given once you arrive.
Sincerely,
Princess Celestia
"Yes!" Rainbow shouted. "About time we get some action!" Pinkie gasped in surprise.
"An adventure?! So is this going to be so fun!!" She excitingly said.
"Oh, I don't know, seems awfully dangerous." Fluttershy said. Pinkie wrapped her forehoof around her.
"Aw come on! It would be a amazing experience!" Applejack nodded.
"Pinkie's right. If anythin' Ah'm a bit curious mahself." She said.
"Then we should hurry, Celestia Doesn't want us waiting." Twilight said as everyone went to the train station to await the new adventure. Little did she know that it will not turn as Twilight expects.
(Canterlot Castle)
As Twilight and the gang finally made to Canterlot, everyone ran to the castle. As they got there they were greeted with two sets of doors which Twilight opened at ease.
"Princess Celestia!" Twilight called out. "We came as fast as we could!" she said as she ran through the halls.
"I swear this all feels like deja vu!" Rainbow complained. Pinkie frowned.
"I know right? It's like Season 3 Finale all over again!!" Rainbow raised an eyebrow.
"What?"
"Nothing." Pinkie smiled innocently as Applejack shushed them.
"Girls." Celestia began. "I called you all here today because there has been a disturbance in another world." TwIlight raised an eyebrow.
"A disturbance?" Celestia nodded.
"My friend is not from this world, he is from a different dimension entirely, and asks for help."
"What kind of help?" Twilight asks. Celestia walks to Twilight.
"Come with me, I have something I must show you." She said as Celestia gestured the girls to follow her. A few minutes later they reached the end of the hall, showing two doors that the front that had a symbol on it, which was a pyramid like gem.
"These two doors are how my friend has communicated with me, and he needs your help, we shall make no delays." Celestia said. She used her magic to open the doors, awaiting them was Princess Luna.
"Princess Luna? What are you doing here?" Twilight asked.
"My sister and I are going to work together to open the portal. Girls we need you stay back." They did as they were told. Celestia and Luna used there magic to open the portal as the girls watched in awe and amazement. It took a few minutes before it opened fully.
"So awesome." Rainbow whispered. Celestia nodded.
"Indeed, this portal will take you where you need to be. From then on your task you be given to you from then on." Celestia said. Twilight seemed unsure of the portal thing. A mirror portal sure, but this portal was different. All sorts of colors of the rainbow were flying in and out of it. Celestia told her it was fine and that would be there if needed. Twilight took a deep breath as she stepped closer to the portal.
"If there is anything I know certain, it is that you will soon know more about this place than even I do." Celestia sighed as Pinkie facehooved.
"Oh great, Equestria Girls too?!." I she said in frustration while Applejack pushed her closer to the portal. Everyone jumped into the portal while Twilight was the last.
"This task may be the greatest adventure yet, we hope that you do not fail." Twilight smirked confidently smirked as she did a salute.
"I won't let you don't princess, you can count on me." She said as she jumped to the portal. She hoped for the best for both of them, for her star pupil and for her friend.
(??? POV)
It has been hours since I last heard from the princess, they wouldn't be lying to me would they? You can probably tell that I'm a little panicky since I sent them the letter. I was walking nervously around my throne's chair biting my hoof.
"Your majesty, I'm sure they would be arriving any minute, has the princess ever lied to you before?" I'm mean, probably not. I shrugged my shoulders and looked at my fillyhood friend.
"Thank you Kyanite, your kind words always conforts me." I said to her. Kyan is my cherished friend every since we were little. Although she works for me, I still treat as a comforting pal. Kyan is a unicorn mare with a dark blue mane and light blue fur. She is rank 90 in my castle, the highest rank out of all the guards, which is the reason why she's the captain of them. Since I introduced her I guess it's my time to introduce myself. My name is Tanzanite, or Tan for short. I was a cyan unicorn with a white mane and had a white robe that signified my status as a king. The robe had a crest in the middle of my chest showing off the symbol of me and my citizens.

On top of my head shows a white crown that went well with my robe. The crown showed a golden-colored number on it which was 100, the highest rank anypony can get. I remember when my father gave me this crown to me and my brother, but I don't want to talk about that right now. Kyan saw my saddened expression as she padded my shoulders.
"Don't worry Tan, I'm sure you can reunite with your brother someday." She said. I looked at outside and sighed.
"Yeah...someday." My episode of depression was cut off by somepony opening the door. I saw a maid bowed down to show respect.
"Rise my pony." I simply stated. "What news do you bring me?" Considering my childish behavior, I can be serious to. The maid rose up and looked at me.
"There are unwanted guests in your castle." I raised my eyebrow. "What should we do?" I gasped in realization.
"Oh goodie! There here!" Both mares looked at me in confusion. My cheeks turned red as I cleared my throat. "I mean, take me to them, I shall deal with them myself." Kyan rolled her eyes as the maid giggled at my behavior. I knew some of the mares here liked me because of my childish ways, but they knew I was okay with it. I just hope this plan will work. I followed the maid as Kyan followed me. It only took a few minutes before we heard arguments outside the castle.
"But me and the girls need to get in there to talk to the king!"
"Sorry ladies, nopony gets in these doors without a valid reason." Thank Phoenix I saved the day from this argument or else. I opened the doors and saw six ponies talking to the guards. The gaurds saw me and gasped.
"King Tanazite!" They bowed in respect.
"What in the world is going on here?" I asked.
"These...ponies are here to seek an audience with you." One of the guards said. I told the guards to go back to their posts in which they obeyed.
"Ponies, what business do you have with me?" I said them. The purple unicorn, which I assumed was a mare, gulped as she took a deep breath.
"Princess Celestia has sent us here because you asked for our help." She said. Still, I seemed doubtful.
"How do I know that Celestia sent you?"
"We just flew out of a rainbow-colored portal and look like nothing like the ponies here, what do you think?" The rainbow one rhetorically asked.
"Hmm...I suposse you make a fair point. What are your names?" I asked. The purple one smiled.
"I'm Twilight Sparkle." She pointed to her friends. "This is Applejack."
"Howdy."
"Pinkie Pie." "Pinkie" waved her hoof really fast.
"Rainbow Dash."
"Sup."
"Rarity..."
"Pleasure to meet you."
"And this is Fluttershy." Twilight said pointing to the one behind her. I looked at all the ponies and nodded.
"It is very nice to meet you all. Come inside, there are things we need to discuss." I stated as the girls all followed me. As we were walking, Kyan looked at me and gestured to the girls.
"Your highness, pardon my uneasiness, but I just feel a weird vibe from them. Do you think they could be working for your brother?" I rolled my eyes.
"Sergeant Kyanite. If Celestia sent them, don't you think they would be here for good intentions?" Kyan sighed.
"I suppose your right. But I still don't feel okay." I put my hoof on her shoulder.
"Your concern is appreciated, but I'm sure everything will be fine." I said. We all continued walking and I finally made to my all familiar throne room. All the girls seemed to amazed by the place.
"Your majesty, I must say your castle is marvelous!" The white one said which I assumed was Rarity. I smiled and sighed.
"Yeah, after generations it still manages to hold itself in place." I guess I made Rarity worry since she saw my saddened look.
"Oh, my apologies. I didn't mean to open old wounds." I waved my hoof at her.
"It's okay, you didn't know. I was going to tell you anyway."
"Whatever do you mean by that?" She asked. I sighed as I looked at the group.
"Why don't I get you girls some beverages? It must be tiring to travel to another world." I suggested as they shrugged and nodded. "Your gonna need to sit down to take this all in." I said as they followed me to the kitchen.
(Kitchen)
"Wow! This place is huge for a kitchen!" Rainbow Dash said. I nodded in agreement.
"Indeed, due to how big this castle is, it's easy to get lost in here." I gestured the girls to sit down at the table as my maids prepared tea them, while I ordered a vanilla milkshake. What? I like milkshakes. Anyway, I took a deep breath as we were about to get down to business.
"I called all of you girls here today because I'm in a dire situation and I need assistance."
"What kind of assistance?" Twilight asked.
"My brother has finally snapped and he has a plan that could destroy our country and everything that we know and love." Everypony gasped in horror, I can't blame them, they were so horrified that they didn't even notice the cup of tea right in front of them. "This is why I need you girls." They all nodded.
"What would you like us to do?" Twilight asked.
"My brother's plan is to take all the Sacred Gems for himself and use it's power to take over the world. All because of what happened in the past. His sadness, anger, and jealousy clouds him from reason."
"W-What happened?" Fluttershy asked. Thank Phoenix my milkshake came, I needed something to calm me down. I guess it's time to tell them the story.
"You see. It wasn't always like this..." I used my magic to show them what happened.
My father and mother always trained me and my brother to become great kings when we become wise stallions. Everything seemed fine until, something changed. Even though me and my brother are fraternal twins, my brother always looked up to me. While I was the wise pony of the family, my brother was the smart one, which turned into a problem. You see, my father and mother cherished both of us equally, but I guess my brother was to blind to see that, saying things like I always get my way instead of his and that I never appreciated him for what he did. As we got older, my father always told us that we had to be prepared for the worse, because during that time, a war broke out in all countries. Everypony was fighting for the Sacred Gems, wishing to get their power due to how strong it was. My father and mother had worked together to obtain it's power and wished for peace and tranquility, but because their hearts were not pure, they were both corrupted and dying soon after...
"...Leaving nothing but two crests with symbols on them." I said as I showed them my crest on my chest. "My brother took my mother's crest, since he loved her the most."
Ever since our parents past away, everything changed for the worst. Everyday it felt like me and my brother were being separated, as sooner or later, it became a reality. We were both busy having royal business to attend to, that we never had enough time for each other. Because I had slightly more power than he did, he did everything in his ability to change that, but so far, no such luck. That's when the rumors began. It has been stated many years ago that there has been one powerful gem that nopony had the power of containing, for it's power is to strong to harness, and that gem is called the Phoenix Prism.
"This is where you girls come in. If we are to believe that this gem still exists, we must find it before my evil brother, Tourmaline does." Now I was pumped up for this. "We must act quickly! Let us go girls, we shall not waste anymore time." With that final statement we all walked out of the kitchen. We started walking to my secret chamber where the girls thought it was a random direction.
"Uh...where are we going?" Rainbow asked.
"We are going somewhere that nopony else has the courage to step hoof in." I said as we entered the chamber. As we went inside, darkness was all that surrounded our eyes.
"Uh...why is it so dark in here?" I heard Twilight ask.
"My apologies, we haven't been inside here for who knows how long. Kyanite, if you please."
"Yes your highness." She said as she turned on the light. Light shined at our faces, revealing one giant podium.
"Here it is, the reason why me and my brother are at a never ending war..."

"OH! Pretty!" Pinkie said as she tried to touch it, but she got pushed away with my magic.
"This is the Phoenix Prism. With it's power we can put a stop to my brother's madness once and for all, but we will need the other sacred gems first. Your task is to travel all the countries and collect all the gems so we can summon the Phoenix Prism." All the girls nodded. Then we all heard a sound, like wolves were howling, signaling that it was getting late.
"Looks like its getting dark, I shall have Sergeant Kyaninte escort you girls to your bedrooms." Kyan nodded as she was leading the girls to the hallway. I looked at the podium one more time before leaving the chamber. I heard the girls having chit-chats with each other but I was too focused on the situation to notice. As the girls all went to sleep, all that was left was me and Kyan. I bid her a goodnight as did her. I went to my room and took off my robe and crown, gently placing the crown on my table. As I went to sleep, I smiled as a thought passed through my head.
'Be prepared girls, because tomorrow, I shall show you the ways of...'

Chapter 1: Bejewled Tutorial
(Tanzanite Castle, Tanzanite POV)
Finally! The birds are chirping, the sun is setting, and there are ponies from another world have come here to learn about our culture and our ways of the Bejeweled. I have to teach them, for not only there safety, but for ours as well. As I started to get up, having to yawn, stretch, and rub my eyes, I heard soft sounds of giggling mares.
"Good morning your majesty." I heard two voices say in unison. My vision started clearing up as I began to my two favorite servants. The Garnets, Rose and Beige. The one thing I liked about them was their personality, they were just so down the earth, well...mostly because they were earth ponies. Rose has light red fur and a light brown mane style curled to perfection, while Beige on the other hoof has the light brown fur and light red mane. Having the same sets of colors meant that they were twins, another thing I liked about them, as well as having the same mane style. As I got up from bed I saw Beige walking towards it and making it.
"You know, you don't have to do that." I told Beige, in which she waved her hoof nonchalantly.
"Nonsense. You are kind to us, so we shall show kindness back, no?" Did I mention their prench accents are so adorable? I felt Rose push me towards the bathroom.
"Now, let us clean your bed while you have a nice soothing bath." And I did as she said. I got in the shower, whistling a tune as I did so. During this time I heard the door open.
"Well, somepony is in a happy mood today." That sounded like Beige. "What is the occasion?" She asked.
"Well, as you probably may not of heard, ponies from another world have come to our world to learn the ways of the Bejeweled...well, I ask them if they could come here, but I need help so we can end my brother's mayhem once and for all." With that being said, I got out of the shower as Beige gave me a towel for me to dry myself with.
"Indeed." She agreed. "That ruffian must pay for his actions!" She gave a huff in frustration. "How can somepony so cruel and so mean be your brother?" I let out a sigh of disappointment.
"Part of me feels like it was all my fault, I never meant for it to happen. Even though he changed for the worse, he's still my brother. You know, he wasn't always like this." The statement seemed to catch Beige off guard.
"Would you care to elaborate?"
"Not right now, I already told my story to the girls." My eyes widened by sudden realization. "Speaking of which, I better get down to the kitchen, the girls might be their any minute." Beige nodded as we went back to the bedroom. Beige and Rose helped me get dressed as to put on my robe and crown.
"Since this is my first time teaching, would you like to come with me to watch?" I could've sworn I saw both Rose and Beige's eyes light up. They both hugged and nuzzled me in affection.
"Thank you your highness!"
"Your generosity shall not be forgotten!" My face started to light up as the twins both laughed at my flushed expression. I took a deep gulp before I had the courage to speak again.
"Now, why don't have something to eat no?" The girls giggled at my failed attempt to speak prench, and went to the kitchen.
(Kitchen)
As me and the twins went to sit down, I saw Kyan coming towards the kitchen.
"Sergeant Kyanite." I greeted in which she bowed.
"Your majesty."
"What news have you brought me today?" I asked.
"The girls you are about to train are coming down shortly." She said as she sat down next to the Garnets.
"Oh this is so exciting!" I squealed. The twins giggled while Kyan rolled her eyes once more, though smiling warmly in secret.
"Garnets, why don't you make some breakfast for our guests?" I suggested. They smiled as they went up to me.
"Anything for our king." They said in unison and nuzzled me. Little did I know that Kyan gave a sharp glare to the twins as they smirked victoriously. A few minutes later I started to hear sounds of hooves coming down.
"Good morning your majesty." That must've been Twilight Sparkle.
"Good morning, I hope your sleep turned out pleasant." I inquired.
"Oh it was simply marvelous! The bed was certainly more comfortable then at home." Rarity chirped out.
"Ah here ya there Rares, we even had a hard tahm tryin' ta git Rainbow outta bed." Applejack chuckled.
"Well, my...cooks are preparing something special for breakfast, so in the mean time, I can tell you about our culture." Most of the girls nodded in agreement while Rainbow seemed to give out an annoyed groan. Out of all the mares here, Twilight seemed to be the most excited about it. Well, mind as well keep ourselves occupied.
(30 minutes later)
"Wow! Your world is so much different from ours, and yet, it's the same at the same time." Twilight said. "What kind of currency do you use here?" She asked. I used my magic to summon up a few gold coins.
"This is what we use." I gave Twilight one of the gold coins.
"Fasinating, this looks like the bits that we use back home." She said as she inspected it more. The gold coin looked...well, gold. It had how much it was worth on one side, and a symbol similar to the one on my crest, only the color was different.
"There's three types of coins, going from 100 to 1000 to 10,000, the only difference about the coins is there size. The more the amount, the bigger the size. I'll let you all start with 10,000 once you go out into the world." I finished as Rose and Beige came back with our meals. "Now dig in, I shall be meeting you in the Battle Arena." Rainbow gasped.
"Woah! There's an arena here?" She said as I smiled.
"Yes, and so much more. Kyanite will escort you to there once you are finished with your meals." I looked at Kyan and she nodded. While I wait for the girls I'm going to set it up. It's been a long time since I went in there.
(Battle Arena)
Although there were multiple arenas in the castle, I needed one with nopony in it to have the girl's upmost concentration. As I went inside I whistled at how massive the place was.
"You know, I had no idea this place changed so much over the years." I said to myself. The battle arena had golden lines around the walls, along with a color of light purple, getting darker as I look down the walls. As I continued looking through the place I couldn't help but notice the statues, of my friends. It's been so long since I've seen all of them, I wonder what happened to them. I thoughts were disturbed by the door opening. I saw Kyan coming with the girls. All the girls were looking at the scenery while I cleared my throat to get there attention.
"Ah there you girls are." I said. "Now, before we begin, we're going to start with the basics." I used my magic to create gems scattered across the arena. "All around the arena there are going to be gems materializing around you, having a total of 64 gems. Your objective is to collect three of the same colored gems as much as possible, earning you points throughout the match, Kyanite if you please." I said as Kyan as she grabbed three blue gems and created a row. The three gems disappeared into thin air and turn into blue dust, depending on what color the gem was. The girls gasped in astonishment.
"This is incredible!" Twilight said. "How are able to do this!?" She practically shouted.
"Generation upon generation has been battling this way all the time, all this is nearly common knowledge, hay even fillies and colts know how to play this game. Of course the way they play is just for fun." The girls looked at me in confusion before I coughed embarrassingly. "Anyway for your training, I want you to collect and group as many gems as you can, remember, you have 1 minute for every match you have. Now, you can take your position anywhere in the arena." With the girls scattered taking a charging position, the game was about to begin.
1:00
GO!
(During training session)
As I was looking at the girls and their progress, Kyan walked beside me as Rose and Beige.
"So?" I began. "What do you think of the girls so far?" I asked Kyan and in reply, she shrugged.
"I'm not so sure, training ponies from another world, you'll never know what the outcome will be." I was about to add in something until the Garnets chimed in.
"Well, what I see, is training mares turning into soon to be masters." Rose chirped and Beige nodded in agreement. I gave a sigh and looked at the girls once more.
'I'm sure Celestia won't let me down, she never did before.' With that thought, I looked at the timer, which meant that the match was going to end.
"So after a few matches, do you think you got the hang of it?" All of the girls nodded. "Good, now once you get to your destination, I'll tell you all the details. Any questions?" I asked as Rainbow raised her hoof.
"Yeah, how are we supposed to get there?" I smirked.
"Don't worry, leave that to me." I grabbed a blue gem and placed it on the floor. I told the girls to back up a bit, so with my magic I conjured up, I created of colorful vortex, similar to the one the girls came out from. "Here, this will take you to your designated place. I all I wish for is your safety." The girls thanked me as they walked through the vortex. As the votrex closed I could only think of one thing.
'Brother, how could you do this?'

Bejeweled: Quest for the Prism
Chapter 2: Wolves of the Night
(Third Person View)
As the Mane 6 went through the vortex that Tanzanite created, the girls expected a soft a cushy landing, turns out it was the exact opposite.
"OW!!!" The girls groaned in pain as all the girls have created a pile of their own bodies. A blue gem appered in front of them as it floated as lit up a bright light.
"Apoligies for the landing, we have not yet perfected the teloprtation gem." Tanzanite explained. The girls started to untangled themselves as Twilight began to speak.
"How are you able to communicate to us?" Twilight asked.
"I shall use this gem to contact you throughout your mission, this way it will be easier to give any useful information." He concluded.
"Great, teloporting gems, communication gems? What else do you have under you sleeve?" Rainbow rhetorically asked.
"I'm grateful that you asked that Rainbow." He smirked. The used his magic once again to bring up his ranked badges.
"What the?!" Rainbow exclaimed. "Collars?"
"I would to refer it as neck badges." He smiled pridefully.
"Although I find them extremely adorable, whatever are these for?" Rarity asked.
"These are to indicate your rank, meaning that the higher the number, the more experienced you are with the game."
"So how do we get experience points?" Twilight asked.
"Simple, the matches you have, the stronger you get. The points that you receive will be added to your experience points, or XP for short. What I suggest is that you try to face ponies suited to your rank."
"OH! So this is like an RPG Right?" Pinkie asked while everyone looked her confusingly.
"A what?"
"Nevermind." Tanzanite clears his throat.
"Anyway, since the basic information is out of the way, I think it's time that you get going, we don't have a second to waste." The girls nodded and began walking to said destination as the blue gem turned off. As the girls walked towards the country the looked at the title.
"Welcome to the Canine Caves?" Rainbow said as she flew up to see the country's name.
"Oh, what could there be on there?" Fluttershy wondered, both in curiousness and in worry.
"Yer guess is as good as mine." Applejack retorted. Suddenly, the blue gem glowed a bright light, showing King Tanzanite again.
"Apologies, but I forgot to mention that since the whole rumor of the Phoenix Prism, almost every country had bad blood between each other, so now no country is considered multi-cultural. Although I may not know what happened, I certainly know that somepony did something for it to occur." Tanzanite sighed in disappointment.
"So how do you we plan on gettin' in there?" Applejack pointed a hoof at the place.
"For the time being, I shall give you disguises so that the wolves won't tell the difference." After he finished, he heard Fluttershy whimper.
"W-Wolves?" Fluttershy shivered in fear as Tanzanite raised his hoof in reassurance.
"There is no need to be alarmed, they will not harm with no valid reason." Fluttershy felt a little bit more safe, but she was still going to take precautions.
"So how exactly are we gonna blend in?" Applejack asked with a hint of doubt in her tone.
"That shall be taken care of right now." Before Applejack could asked what he meant, he used his magic to transform the girls into something they would have not excepted.
"What the?!" Rainbow exclaimed for the second time.
"What are we?" Twilight asked as she looked at her hooves. "And why do I have the urge to scratch myself?" As kept feeling her left ear flicking up and down.
"You are now apart of the Canines." Tanzanite exclaimed. "I have turned you into wolves." Rarity gave a disgusted look.
"Look how dreadful I am! I'm a filthy monster." Tanzanite snickered at the comment.
"I'm sure you won't say that when you leave. Wolves have very sensitive hearing as a well as extremely high mobility, they are definitely faster than ponies on the ground. I'm certain you'll get used to the customs here." Tanzanite reassured as the gem turned off again. Twilight sighed, but then stood tall in encouragement.
"Let's go girls! The world needs us!" The girls let out a big "Yeah!" and went to said destination, awaiting their new found challenges.
(Canine Caves)
As the girls went inside the town they noticed something off right off the bat.
"Woah nelly!" Applejack exclaimed. "Is it just me, or did the whole place jus git dark?" She asked.
"Geez, I can barley even see my hoof!" Rainbow said, squinting as she put her hoof in front of her face. The blue gem turned on again.
"That's the town of the Canines for you, their town is mostly about darkness. Thankfully wolves can see through the night when the lights turn off." Tanzanite explained. Twilight put her hoof in front of her chin.
"So when one of us battles somepony, how do we know what color the gem it is?"
"You shall know in due time." Tanzanite said as the blue gem turned off again. Twilight had to take a moment to process everything here.
'Okay, we have highly sensitive ears, but our eyes are slightly downgraded, what could the king possibly have for us in store?' she thought as the group arrived at the town.
"Well, here we are, the Canine Caves." Twilight said. Everyone awed at the place. Tons of wolves walking and talking to one another as if were a normal day. They were all wolves but to the girls eyes, they were ponies with longer ears, more fur, and shorter tails. As the girls kept walking they've gotten stares from most of the wolves. Some were curiosity while others were made of suspicion, being different colored wolves, they had the right to be.
"Okay girls, just stay calm, let's just hope that we don't run into trouble." Twilight said, but fate had other plans for the Mane 6. She didn't notice the little colt, er, wolf? That ran into her.
"Or trouble can run into us." Rainbow said sarcastically.
"Ow, my head." The little wolf groaned.
"Oh I'm sorry." Twilight apologized as she helped the little wolf up.
"No, I didn't know where I was going." Judging from the voice it must be male.
"Where ya running off to little fella?" Applejack asked.
"I was trying to find some gems to give to my sister, she said that-" he froze the minute he saw the six girls. "Hey! I've never seen wolves like you before, are you new here?" he asked. Twilight started to sweat in nervousness.
"Well, Uh, y-you can say that." She chuckled awkwardly. The boy have off a suspicious look but then smiled afterward.
"Well, welcome to the Canine Caves." He said as he raised his paw/hoof at Twilight, in which she shook.
"What your name? I'm Twilight Sparkle." She introduced herself as well as her friends.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Toothless." Toothless said.
"But you have teeth in your mouth silly!" Pinkie cocked her head sideways. Toothless giggled at the attempt of humor.
"No, my name is Toothless. It's nice to meet you all." Toothless smiled.
"Ya said you mentioned ya had a sister right? What's her name?" Applejack asked.
"Her name's Munchie." Toothless took a second to process what he said. "Ironic don't you think?" Toothless chuckled.
"How so?" Twilight asked.
"Since I'm the older brother by two years, I have more canines than her." Twilight raised her eyebrow.
"Canines?"
"Yeah look." He said as he showed them his teeth, the girls gasped in horror as they saw his teeth, tons of sharp teeth was shown in the front.
"Well?" He began. "What do you think?" He asked. Twilight swallowed the giant lump in her throat as she tried to come up with a response.
"It's certainly...growing." She chuckled nervously as Toothless raised his eyebrow.
"You know, for a bunch of grown wolves, you girls are weird."
"Yeah, we get that a lot." Pinkie chriped. Toothless shrugged his shoulders.
"Hey, you said that you doing something with your sister, what would that be?" Twilight wondered.
"Oh, me and her always make deal with each other for fun, she said she'd trade me my four white gems for one of her purple gems. Unfortunately I don't have have enough gold coins for it." Twilight put her hoof on her chin.
"How much do you need?" Tooth took out the white gems from his bag and started counting.
"Hmm...about...200." Rainbow eyes lit up.
"Hey! Why don't we play a little one on one. A little match couldn't hurt once in a while right? Rainbow asked while Applejack gave her a raised eyebrow.
"How is a match gonna solve our mess here?" Toothless gave off a thinking posture.
"Well, my sister's waiting for me, but on the other paw, if we can start a match now I can get those gold coins I need."
"So...is it a deal?" Rainbow edged him on.
"Well...ok, but we gotta make this a quick one." Rainbow let out a cheery "yes!" but then realized there wasn't a stage to battle on.
"Um...pardon me deary but, where is the stage?" Rarity looking left and right to find the battlefield.
"Oh, it's everywhere," He took off his rank badge. "You just need to take this off." He said as he put his badge on the ground. Soon the badge let out a soft glow as the badge descended to the ground.
"So? Who going to face me?" Toothless asked. Rainbow pushed Twilight in front for her to volunteer. Twilight silently glared at Rainbow as she whistled innocently.
"I guess I'll give it a try." Twilight seemed hesitant, but took her badge off and placed it on the floor. Soon, their badges started to create a white sphere, well, half of it anyway, surrounding Twilight and Toothless. The Mane 6 gasped and awed at the sight, seeing how the battlefield was created.
"Pretty neat huh?" Toothless smirked. Twilight nodded slack jawed. "Since this is probably your first time, I can go easy on you." Twilight seemed confused at the statement.
"How do you know it's my first time?" Toothless shrugged.
"I took a look at your badge and it said LVL 1 with no XP in it, I'm just assuming that your a Rookie." Toothless looked up at the ceiling of the battlefield and saw the gems falling. Twilight followed Toothless' actions as he smirked.
"You ready for this Twilight?" Toothless said as he ran to get into position.
'Celestia I sure hope so.' With that last thought, the match was about to begin with her friends cheering her on.

GO!!!
(Tanzanite Castle, Battle Arena, First Person)
"Through the communication gem, I can see the girl's progress throughout their journey, this way I can answer any questions that they may have." I told Kyan as she stroked her hoof.
"This is truly outstanding!" Kyan smiled. "You have certainly out done yourself, it seems that technology is reaching to a whole new level." My face turned a bit red from the praise but smiled.
"Yeah, took me a while to figure out how to make it work, but I eventually got it down." I took a look at the gang were Twilight was battling against a werewolf, it was smaller than Twilight so it must be still a pup.
'Hmm...although this is Twilight's first battle, she's facing a Trainee, this may be an interesting battle.' I thought as me and Kyan spectated the match, but only the gem malfunction. Raising my eyebrow, I inspected the gem only to have it broke into pieces.
"Well that doesn't happen often." I said as I heard the door open as two guards ran hastily to me.
"Your majesty! It seems we have a problem!" One of the guards panically stated. I look of concern consumed on my face.
"What kind of problem?" I asked suspiciously. That was until then an explosion erupted in front of the battle arena knocking out the two guards and hitting them against the wall. A pile of dust and debris pretty much just surrounded the entrance. I squinted to try to look at the attacker only to believe that my had failed me.
"Well well, what a touching reunion, right brother?" The sheer voice of sarcasm sent me to sheer terror.
'No! Could it be?!' I asked myself as my whole body froze up like a deer in headlights, me and Kyan gasped as i saw the one pony I'd never thought to see in my entire life.
"Tourmaline..." I whispered. Tourmaline or...my brother, was a black colored unicorn with with the eyes, mane, and tail all red, filled with mischievousness and hate, though I can understand why. He wore the same type of robe an crown that I was, the only difference was the color, both black and red, and the fact that his robe has a decal of flames. His crown is what made me cringe the most, because it reminded me of what happened, how it happened, and what he became. The one thing I noticed on his crest was his rank, 101, five levels above me, and he made sure it stayed like that. His crest was the opposite, his resembled himself, all of his sadness, hate, and anger through all of those years.

It pains me so to him this way, and now he's here to take revenge...at least that's what I'm expecting. What else would he come here for? My assumptions started to act amongst themselves, turning into groans of annoyance.
"What do you want Tourmaline?" The only response was a evil smirk as he began to speak.
(Tourmaline POV)
Ahh...how long has it been since you tormented me, ignore me, and even ABANDONED ME!?! Such great times right brother?! Anyways, I could just see the sheer terror on his face when I entered his arena. His reaction was just priceless. I smirked at him and gave him a small greeting.
"What a touching reunion, right brother?" I gave him a rhetorical question. I see the look on his face, the look of fear. As soon as he realized it was me, his face went from fear to slightly annoyed expression.
"What do you want Tourmaline?" I gave him a tisk in disappointment.
"What? Can't I visit my own brother once in a while?" I asked.
"By visiting you mean attempting to murder me because of jealousy?" My brother replied. Although my devious smiled did not falter, my tone did.
"This is all assumptions my dear brother, what makes you think I'll do it again?" I smiled innocently, though my brother didn't buy it one bit.
"I've known since the day we were born, what makes you think I would ever fall for your tricks?" Ok...time to bring this thing home.
"Well, somepony's clever. Although, I'm pretty sure I tricked you to thinking that all of your friends had "a fight"." His confused gaze turned into to shock.
"What did you do?!" He yelled, seems like his temper is getting to him.
"What did I do?! Weren't you the one who started the whole thing?" This is priceless! I can see him grinding his teeth.
"Don't you DARE put words in my mouth! You framed me!"
"And yet your little buddies don't seem to know that." I smirked. My brother started to charge his horn to attack me, but all I needed to do was tilt my head to the left a bit and I dodged it. Yeah, my brother was never the best at aiming.
"Still having trouble with your aiming brother? Battle me right now, and show me how good you really are." I said as I put my crown down on the ground, absorbing it and waiting for my easily readable brother. He didn't waste any time accepting my challenge dropping his crown on the ground.
"WAIT STOP! ITS WHAT HE WANTS!" The chief guard mare yelled, but it was too late.
"Ready to lose once again brother?" I taunted.
"I will never back down from a battle!" I snickered.
"Still haven't learned your place brother? Don't worry, I'll set you straight." Little did he know that I absorbed his magic with my crest from behind and have a handy little multiplier boost. And with that being said. The battle began to start, as did my boost began to activate. Too bad his arrogance is the reason he always loses, but then again, I prefer to keep it that way.
(Canine Caves, Third Person View)
Twilight and Toothless were going at it in their heated battle as Toothless was running around the field collecting all kinds of gems while earning points, but since his multiplier was still 1x, but it wasn't as much. The girls supporting Twilight noticed that it was a close battle, with Toothless being 5,000 points ahead of Twilight, there wasn't much room for error. While Twilight and Toothless were collecting gems, the rest of gang noticed one of the yellow gems with a symbol on it. It looked like it had a bit inside it.
"I'm curious." Rarity stated while Applejack raised her eyebrow.
"About what?"
"That yellow gem over there." This is when Rainbow stepped into the conversation.
"You noticed it to huh?" Rarity nodded.
"What do you think it is?" Applejack wondered.
"Surely it must have some significance, does it not?" Rainbow shrugged.
"I'm gonna ask Tanzanite about it." Rainbow grabbed the gem and turned it on, or at least attempted to. Rainbow kept shaking the gem, hoping it would do something, but no avail. "If I only knew how to open this thing." Rarity picked it up out if Rainbow's hooves as she gave a look at it. Rarity attempted to open it or at least do something, but all she got out of it was a tiny spark.
"Whatever the gem is, Toothless ain't having any second thoughts about grabbin' it." Applejack said as she watched Toothless grabbed the yellow gems and put them together with two other yellow gems, thus giving him a tremendous lead on Twilight. Twilight tried to catch up but before she knew it, it was over.
TIME UP
With the Last Hurrah in motion (which Twilight didn't know about), they showed the results.
Twilight Sparkle: 17, 540
Toothless: 21, 780
"I...lost?" Twilight was bewildered, this was the first time had lost...anything. Toothless walked up to Twilight and place his paw on her chest.
"Don't worry about it to much, this was your first wasn't it?" He asked as Twilight nodded. "Just think of it as another way of learning the game." With Toothless' words, Twilight smiled at his assurance. "And besides I finally got the gold coins I needed. Anyways, thanks playing the game with me, it was fun. Bye Twilight!" He yelled as he ran towards his home or rather his sister. Once Toothless was out of sight, the gang went towards Twilight.
"I'm deeply sorry that you lost Twilight." Rarity said.
"Yeah, ya can't win them all Twi." Applejack added while padding her. Twilight shrugged.
"You know what? I'm okay with it." The girls seemed surprised by her statement.
"Why would you like to lose?" Rainbow asked.
"It's not like I like to lose, but Toothless made me realize that losing is just another way of learning." Rainbow raised her eyebrow.
"Really?" She seemed skeptical. "What's so good about losing?" Twilight was about to answer until she heard grumbling, in her stomach and chuckled sheepishly.
"How about I tell you after we get something to eat first." As everyone else's stomach started to growl, they nodded in agreement. As they started to walk, the girls came to a realization, that a new problem has arisen.
"Does anypony know where to go?" Rainbow asked everyone. Twilight put her paw on her chin as if she was pondering.
"I'm sure we can ask other pon- *ahem* wolves, that can show us the way. That means more adventure for us right?" Rainbow agreed at her logic and continued on with the rest of the girls. Little did the girls know is what Canine Caves serves for food.

TIME UP
Tourmaline: 567,450
Tanzanite: 498, 990
After Tanzanite's crushing defeat, he was on floor in agony from the brutal attacks his brother had given him. It only took him a few seconds for him to get back up. Tourmaline grabbed his brother's crown and started playing with it.
"Huh, rank 100." He let out a snort of derision. "I seriously doubt that." He said as he threw his bother's crown back at him. Tanzanite thankfully got up, but with the assistance of Kyanite.
"Dear brother, you can't do this." It was at this moment when Tanzanite had surpassed his anger and tried to reason with him, since he was to injured to do anything at the moment.
"Do what? Getting revenge on my brother that I so rightly deserve? Please! Who's going to stop me?" Tourmaline rhetorically asked. Tanzanite fully stood up.
"If there is no other option, then I will." Tourmaline could only laugh at his statement.
"Really? And how is that working out for you?"
"Someday, I WILL surpass your level." Tourmaline gave his brother a dismissive wave.
"Yeah, I'm sure you will, maybe in a couple of years." Tanzanite anger started to rise again, but contained it knowing what the consequences were going to be. "With my plan in motion, all I need is the Phoenix Prism which I'm going to get."
"And you think you can just retrieve it?" Tourmaline let out a snort.
"Oh I don't think so," Tourmaline zapped his brother, causing him to clutch his chest with pain. "I know so. I outrank you for a reason." He smirked. "Oh! And also one for the road." He stated as he used his magic to knock Kyanite unconscious. Tanzanite seeing this, he grunted with anger.
"Y-You'll never get away with this!" Tanzanite grunted.
"Aww," Tourmaline padded his brother in the head. "I already have." With that last statement. Tourmaline teleported away from the castle. Tanzanite didn't know what to do, but he definitely had to train those girls.
"Will these girls really come to our aid?"
