Chapters Dark stepped out of the clearing. Then she quickly whent behind a big rough old tree, and she out of sight of her vamponies. Dark looked up and her horn suddlenly lit up. Making the part of the Everfree Forest not as dark and creepy as it was. Suddenly her body started to change. Her bat wings suddleny dissapered. And her red eyes changed into blue ones. Once the spell was done, she no longered looked like a vampony. She looked like a normal pony.
"Alright... The spell is finally done. Now I... Just need to teleport to Ponyville." Dark thought.
Dark sat down for a bit and looked at her dark gray hoves.
One min past by and Dark looked up once again. Her horn lit up again and with a red poof. She was gone.
Dark opened her eyes again. She was on a bridge. She looked around and then found a pony sitting down on the bench.
She walked up to the pony.
"Hello... Um, excuse me, do you know where Princess Twilight Sparkle's castle is?"
The pony smiled.
"You must be new here, darling. Just take a left and you will be at the center of the town. You should be able to see it then."
"Thank you," Dark said.
"Not an issue dearie. May I ask your name?"
"My name is Dark. I'm just here for a visit." Dark said.
"The name is Rarity my dear, and welcome to Ponyville." She said.
"Thank you, once again," Dark said and smiled.
Rarity smiled back.
"I will take my leave," Dark said and turned towards the left.
"Wait. Before you go. I own carousel boutique. If you ever need some cloths, I may gladly give you one for free. Since it's your first time here in Ponyville." Rarity said.
Dark turned her head back to Rarity.
"Thank you for the generosity. I think I will." Dark said.
Rarity smiled once again.
Dark walked around Ponyville, lots of houses, lots of pony's passing her. But she was here for one thing and one thing only. To meet the princess of friendship. It didn't take long to find the princess since there was a huge castle in a middle of a small town. And it seems she got lucky too, they opened a tour of the castle and could meet the princess herself.
There was already a desperate crowd waiting to look around the castle and meet the princess. So what did she do? Dark joined in of course. In the meantime Dark decided to look at this castle, It was big, but she thinks her castle is much bigger.
"Thank you for your patience everypony! You may now enter!" Princess Twilight said.
And behind Twilight was the moon and sun goddess themselves. Every pony walked with the princesses and so did Dark. She had to admit the castle was beautiful and looked a lot better than hers.
Soon Twilight started talking about what it was made out of, how it was made, and how strong the castle was. Dark was indeed listening to what Twilight was saying, that is why she was here. The problem is Dark couldn't keep her eyes off of somepony. The princess of the sun. The pony who made her life hard wiped out the pony's she cared about and kill her parents.
"You'll get your revenge Dark, don't worry." Dark thought.
"I hope you enjoyed the tour, and if you want to say hi to me, you are more then welcome to," Twilight said.
Dark didn't want to say hi to Twilight or look at the castle anymore. The castle was to pretty, and it reminded her that she should redecorate her castle. So Dark left and thought, "I need to talk with Twilight but were no one can disturber us...... That's it!"
Soon Dark started running to her castle and then she just realized, "I should go visit rarity first."
After walking back to the center of Ponyvile and asking directions, Dark finally found it.
Dark walked inside the bottle.
"Hold on one second!"
Rarity came downstairs and she smiled once she saw Dark.
"Dark... It is nice to see you again." Rarity.
"Same to you Rarity," Dark said.
Rarity walked to a chain and pulled out some cloths.
"Is there anything you see that catches your attention?" Rarity asked.
"Hmm..." Dark said and walked closer to the stacked up cloths.
There were many options that were hanging on the rack. But none Dark was interested in
Dark looked at Rarity.
"I'm sorry Rarity.... I don't see anything I like."
"That is alright darling, come back anytime. There is always something new every mouth." Rarity said.
Dark nodded at Rarity.
"Okay. But I need to leave... If you excuse me." Dark said and turned towards the door.
"Come back anytime darling." Rarity said.
Dark walked inside her room. Dark's walls were black like every wall in her castle. Her bed was queen sized. And the end of the bed was facing towards her wooden desk. Which was to the left side of the room.
Dark walked towards her desk and sat down on her wooden chair. Then she started to write. She needed to tell Twilight that she wanted a spot where no pony was around, Dark didn't want to be interrupted and she didn't want any pony to listen to what they were saying. It was an important meeting after all.
Dark used her magic to pick up a pencil and a piece of paper that was on the right side of her desk. Then she moved the paper to the middle and started to write.
Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle
I have heard many great things about you. You're the Princess of friendship protected Ponyville and the pony's you love. I thank you for caring. Can I please meet you outside the castle at 9:00 pm? I will explain why I want to meet you so late.
A friend named Dark.
"Okay... I'll send it tonight. I should rest...." Dark thought.
Dark walked towards her bed. Some white pillows were nicely stacked up on each other. And her red blanket was neatly placed. Dark didn't see a wrinkle or anything on the bracket.
Dark used her magic to lift up the sheets. She then jumped on the bed and let go cover go with her magic. The blanket floated down nicely.
Dark tossed and turned a bit, but It didn't take long for Dark to fall asleep. She had a long day.... But she knew it would get harder. Dark would have to act like a normal pony to obtain the trust she needed. But she was born complete opposite of normal.
By the time Dark woke up, Luna's moon was set. It was pretty late for a normal pony. But the afternoon for vamponys. Dark quickly got up from her blanket. Then Dark walked toward the bathroom which was next to the bed on the right side. Then Dark walked to the sink and grabbed her toothbrush with her magic. She used her magic also to grab the toothpaste and put it on the toothbrush. Then when Dark was done. She spit out the toothpaste and then grabbed the hair brush with her magic. Making it once again... Straight. After she was done with all of that, she was ready to sit on the throne once again. But blood came to Dark's mind. Dark knew she would have to drink more blood than usual. She needed the strength and the energy.
Dark got out of the bathroom and walked towards the clock that was on the top of the wall on the left side of the bed.
"7:21. I have about two hours." Dark thought.
Dark didn't want to be late to the meeting, so she exited her room and ran to the throne room, and she got there pretty quickly. Dark instantly talked to one of the guards that were guarding the throne room doors.
"My guard. I need my maid to bring two blood packs and fast!" Dark said.
He nodded and ran past Dark. Trying to find her maid.
In the meantime, Dark went inside her throne room, while also seeing the same two guards, guarding the throne. Then Dark sat down on her throne.
Then after only a few minutes, the throne doors open.
"Queen Dark! I have the blood packs you requested! But why two?" The maid asked.
"I shall explain later, my maid. Please leave and let me drink my blood in peace." Dark said.
"Yes, my Queen." The maid said without question. She then bowed and left.
Dark drank her blood packs as quickly as she could. And then she teleported to the same old same tree. And transformed into her other form. Then after a min of rest. She teleported outside Twilight's castle.
Dark quickly ran at the door, then knocked and put the letter down as she did.
"Coming!" said a voice.
Dark ran to the right side of the castle so no pony could see her. And then Dark heard the door opened.
"Hello.... Is anypony there? Huh? What is this?" Said the voice, and then Dark heard the door closed.
"That sounded like Twilight's voice..." Dark mumbled to herself.
Soon after that, Dark decided to teleport back to her room. When she was back, she quickly looked at the clock. it was 7:42, and Dark decided to think very carefully. She had to think what she was going to say to Twilight to make her trust her when they met. And Dark also decided to stay in that form. So she wouldn't have to do it again. Then soon the seconds turned into minutes, the minutes turned into hours. And soon it was time to meet the princess.
"It is time...." Dark said. While she was looking at the clock and then teleported near the castle.
When Dark got there, she wanted to stick to the shadows, just in case Twilight was there. But Dark didn't see Twilight at all. She waited a moment and then she heard a voice.
"You wanted to see me?" The voice said.
It was Twilight, but she wasn't wearing her princess outfit and her hair looked a bit messy. Dark was expecting her to look like a princess, but Dark see's now she wants to be treated like a normal pony. But has her duty's, just like Dark does.
"Hello? Is anypony there? Why are you here and why this time?" Twilight said.
"Hello, Princess Twilight." Dark stepped out of the shadows and bowed to the princess.
Twilight was surprised that Dark stepped out of the shadows like that.
"Um... Who are you?" Twilight said.
"My name is Dark." She said.
When Dark got up, she instantly saw a problem. There was a pony behind Twilight.
"Who is that pony behind you?" Dark said while she was worried, it could be a guard, or worse.
The pony stepped back a bit after Dark said that.
"Oh! This is Fluttershy." Twilight said.
"Fluttershy?" Dark said, surprised.
Twilight move to the right so Dark could see. It was indeed Fluttershy. She crouched when she saw Dark. And made a weeping sound.
"Sorry...Fluttershy is shy when is introduce to somepony new." Twilight said.
"That's fine... I was expecting you to be alone... That's why I picked this time. But this is about friendship, so I'll let you listen Fluttershy." Dark said.
Twilight and Fluttershy gave Dark a confused face.
"I want to learn about friendship. From the Princess of Friendship and her friends." Dark bowed. Stayed in that position and closed her eyes and then opened them.
Twilight and Fluttershy looked surprised for a moment. But then came closer to Dark. Once they were right in front of her, she looked up. Twilight and Fluttershy were smiling.
"I would love to show you the true power of friendship," Twilight said, with a lot of kindness.
"I would...love that too," Fluttershy said.
Dark smiled and got up.
"Thank you... If I can ask, why did you bring Fluttershy?" Dark said with curiosity.
"Fluttershy was with me when you sent the letter, so I thought she could come along," Twilight said.
"Oh.... Okay then." Dark said.
There was a moment of silence.
"Do you want to meet my friends? Tomorrow in the afternoon at my castle?" Twilight said.
"What time?" Dark asked.
"Hmm...11:30 am?" Twilight asked.
"I would love that," Dark said in a kind voice.
A few seconds passed, and Dark noticed Twilight had a confused face and was looking past Dark.
"No cutie mark?" Twilight said.
"Oh! Um. Yes... I haven't gotten my cutie mark yet, but honestly, I really don't care." Dark said.
Twilight looked like she was about to say something, but she said nothing.
"I should change the subject." Dark thought
"I guess it's time we go our separate ways?" Dark asked.
Twilight and Fluttershy looked at each other, then they nodded in agreement. And then they looked back at Dark.
"Goodbye," Twilight said and smiled.
Dark turned around and started walking back home. For some reason, she enjoys being treated fairly. And the best part is, she'll have more time to be treated fairly.
Twilight
After Twilight and Fluttershy left the strange pony, Twilight and Fluttershy went back to their homes.
"Spike! I'm home!" Twilight shouted.
Not a peep came from the castle.
"No answer. He must be sleeping." Twilight mumbled to herself.
So Twilight decided it was best to get her sleep too. She went up to her bed, and to see Spike sound asleep. And soon Twilight went into her bed, but she couldn't stop thinking about that pony.
"Who was that pony? And why no cutie mark?" Twilight thought.
Twilight's mind started to get fuzzy and then she realized defiantly. And fell asleep pretty fast.
Twilight had a happy but strange dream. She dreamed about that pony. The pony learned the ways of friendship and became best friends. But that pony would always change the subject anything about her. And she wouldn't tell Twilight where she lived either. Twilight decided to investigate but found out she live in the Everfree Forest instead of Ponyville.
"Why?" Twilight said.
Dark
"Finally back to my castle!" Dark said as she walking towards
Two of her guards instantly notice her.
"Who goes there...? Queen Dark?!" Said the guard on the right side of the castle.
They instantly bow when they knew it was Dark. Dark just passed them, she didn't even nod. She had no need to waste time, she just wanted to go to bed.
Once she was in her room, Dark just went straight to bed. Dark didn't even think what she was going to say to Twilight and her friends tomorrow. Dark was just tired and fell asleep fast.
Twilight
"Ugh... What a weird dream." Twilight thought.
Twilight got out of her bed and noticed Spike was gone.
"That's strange... I'm usually up before Spike," Twilight said with confusion.
"I should get ready and have breakfast with Spike," Twilight mumbled to herself.
Twilight got ready, and she was heading towed the kitchen, but when she got there, Spike wasn't there either.
"I should go to the door and see if he's there. He could be talking to Rarity." Twilight said to herself.
Twilight saw Spike, but he wasn't alone he was with Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie.
"Whats going on?" Twilight said in a confused, but curious way.
"My Deeeeearrr Twilight, Fluttershy wanted us to come here in an important matter, but she wouldn't say what." Rarity said.
"Yeah, whats going on Twilight?" Said Rainbow Dash.
Twilight looked at Fluttershy and sighed. And Twilight started explaining the story and so did Fluttershy.
A few minutes later...
"Twilight are you absolutely sure that you hear this pony right? She wants to learn the true power of friendship?" said Rarity.
"We must do a welcoming party! Theirs going to be so many streamers and balloons! " Pinkie Pie said.
"I'm sure Rarity... And Pinkie... I'm not sure she likes party's." Twilight said.
"Awwwww..." Pinkie said but still kept her excitement up.
"If that ponies wants to learn the power of friendship, that makes that pony 20% cooler in my book," Rainbow said.
"I agree with Rainbow Dash," Fluttershy said softly.
"I see what you're saying, but we don't even know where she lives," Twilight said.
"Twilight, dear. Did you know what we were like back then, when we first meet, we barely knew each other! And we found out we were the elements of harmony.... What I'm saying, dear is just give her a chance." Rarity said.
"I'll give her a chance, but I don't like it Rarity. She's nice for sure, but she's different... You'll see what I mean when you meet her today. Twilight said.
"Honestly darling, I think your just over reacting. I meet her just yesterday dear." Rarity said.
"What?!? You did?" Twilight asked.
"Yes. She was lost and was looking for your castle. So I helped her out. She was very polite and nice. Just give her a chance, darling."
"I hope your right Rarity." Twilight thought.
"Hey, where is Applejack?" Twilight said.
"A.J. had to work on fields so she couldn't come along." Rainbow Dash said.
"What time are you suppose to meet this pony?" Spike said.
"11:30 am," Twilight said.
"Twilight you do realize it's 12:00 am?" Rainbow said.
"So?....Wait? WHAT?" Twilight said.
"OH MY GOSH, WE HAVE TO GET READY EVER PONY! AND WHY IS 12:00?!" Twilight screamed.
"Twilight! Calm down!" Spike said.
"You didn't get up until 11:30. Which is also really weird, and the story took up the rest of the time.
"We will worry about my sleeping problem later. We need to be ready!" Twilight shouted.
"Ugh.... What time is it?" Dark thought and looked at the clock on the wall.
"11:30 am. I'll just go back to bed... Wait... WHAT!?" Dark said in surprise and confusion.
"Since when do I sleep that late?! No! That's not important now, I have to get ready." Dark said while she was running down to her bathroom.
Dark quickly brush her teeth and hair. And she quickly passing ever guard she saw, some of her guards asked what's wrong, but she didn't want to stop. Once Dark got their she just picked up the first blood pack she saw. And drank it quickly. Then she changed form and teleported to Twilight's castle.
Once Dark got there she heard a voice, it sounded like Twilight.
"Did she leave? Or is she late to?" Twilight said.
"Princess Twilight! Sorry, I'm late! I overslept!" Dark said and started running to her.
Twilight looked at Dark in surprise.
'I'm glad I wasn't the only one that overslept." Twilight thought.
Twilight turned around to her friends.
"Everypony... This is Dark." Twilight said.
"Hello," Dark said.
"Dark... This Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. And I know you met Rarity." Twilight said as she pointed her hoof at the ponies while she said their names.
"Hello, darling. It is nice to see you again." Rarity said and smiled.
Dark smiled back.
"Hiiiiiiiiii!!!" Pinkie Pie suddenly said.
"Pretty cool name Dark." Rainbow Dash said.
"Thank you, Rainbow Dash," Dark said. And Rainbow Dash nodded.
"Wait... Isn't their six elements of harmony?" Dark asked.
"There is, but Applejack is busy working at Sweet Apples Acres," Twilight said.
"Oh.... Okay." Dark said.
Twilight quickly changed the subject.
"I think it is best that we learn about each other. Where do you live Dark?" Twilight said with confidence.
"In the Everfree Forest," Dark said. There was no point in lying. Dark knew they would find out that she didn't live in Ponyville.
"What do you do?" Twilight asked.
"Honestly, I really don't know. That's why I don't have a cutie mark." Dark said. Lying.
"Twilight stop with the dumb questions! Let's show her around Ponyville!" Rainbow interrupted.
"I agree with Rainbow Dash," Dark said quickly, Desperate to change the subject.
Twilight looked at Rainbow Dash with a mad face. Then she looked back at Dark.
"Fine. We will show you around Ponyville." Twilight said angrily.
"Let's go!" Pinkie Pie said with excitement
Twilight and her friends showed Dark around Ponyville. And Dark had to say, It was an okay town. Dark also got to learn what the five did in their daily jobs. But Dark never got to meet Applejack.
Everypony seem alright with Dark, but Twilight wasn't okay with her. Dark could tell, the ways she thinks before saying something to Dark. She knew if Twilight couldn't trust her. Dark's whole plan will fail. Dark wanted to turn her first, then her friends later. Because Twilight is turned, the rest of the plan will be easy. Dark just has to find a way for Twilight to trust her.
By the time they got to Twilight's castle, Luna's moon was already up. Dark had lots of fun learning about Twilight and her friends. They all said their goodbyes and the only ponies were there, was Dark and Twilight.
Dark knew this was a good chance to talk to Twilight. Since they were outside and no pony was around.
"Twilight," Dark said in a kind tone.
"Yes?" Twilight asked.
"I would like to meet you alone outside the castle," Dark said in a kind tone.
"Why?" Twilight said, defensively.
"Just because... I'll be here at 6:00 am and I'll explain what we do when we meet. And also... Don't tell anybody." Dark said.
"Okay..." Twilight said.
"Well. This is goodbye." Dark said quickly and started leaving to go to the Everfree Forest.
"Goodbye..." Twilight whispered.
Twilight
"Twilight your back! Where were you?" Spike said.
"Don't worry Spike, after we left, we got to show Dark around Ponyville... Because, apparently she lives in the Everfree Forest!" Twilight said with some anger.
Spike's face looked with confusion. Twilight knew she was mad, and she knew she shouldn't be mad.
"Sorry Spike, I like this pony as a friend, but we really don't know much about her. We know she lives in the Everfree Forest! And doesn't have a special talent. I just feel like this is a trap." Twilight said.
"I think your overeating." Spike said.
Twilight wanted to argue but she knew there was no point.
"Your right Spike... But I still don't trust that pony." Twilight said.
Dark
"Ugh... I had a lot of fun, but now I'm.... Super tired." Dark said walking to her throne.
"My queen, where were you?" Said one of Dark's guards next to her throne.
"Doing my plan, and it's working," Dark said with confidence.
Dark decided she needed to change the subject quickly. So he wouldn't ask more questions.
"Guards bring me my maid, and tell her to bring two packs of animal blood," Dark said in her queen voice.
"Yes, my queen." The two guards said, and then they got up. They walked to the door and left.
A few minutes later...
"Queen Dark!" The maid said. As the maid finished that sentence, Dark's guards walked through the door as well.
As the maid walked up to Dark while she was on her throne. Dark noticed that her maid looked really tired.
The maid gave Dark two animal blood packs.
"Thank you," Dark said to the maid.
The maid backed away from the throne and bowed. Once the maid was done bowing, she looked at her queen.
"My maid... Are you alright?" Dark asked
"I am just really tried, my queen. I haven't been able to sleep." Dark's maid said.
"You may take the rest of the day off. In the meantime, I expect you will get sleep, and be ready for me tomorrow." Dark said in her queen voice.
"Yes, my queen. And thank you." She said and started leaving.
Once the maid was gone. Dark quickly change the subject again.
"Guards you may also take your leave. I'm going to bed." Dark said in her queen voice. Then got up and started walking out the door.
"Yes, my queen." The two guards said and started to leave with Dark.
A few minutes later...
"Finally, the front door of my bedroom," Dark said to herself.
"My queen!" Said a pony.
Dark looked to her right and saw her guard with the scar.
"It's you," Dark said in surprised.
'When I heard your back, I came here right away." The scar pony said.
"Oh. You did... Huh." Dark said, surprised that news flies that quickly around her castle.
"Why are you here?" Dark asked.
"I wanted to see if you're okay. And why you have been gone so long." The scar pony said.
"I'm fine." Dark said.
Dark could tell that the guard didn't believe what she said..
"Well okay... I'll trust you for now." Said the scar pony.
In the moment Dark realized something.
"My queen?" The scar pony asked in confusion.
"Whats your name?" Dark said softly and quietly.
"Chris. My name is Chris." He said.
"Please leave. That is an order. " Dark said.
"...Um. Yes, my queen."Chris said and walked away where he came from.
Dark quickly opened the door with her magic and closed it quickly.
Dark walk to her bed, and then laid down on her bed. She decided to look at her bedroom.
"Ugh... Even my bedroom looks boring." Dark said to herself.
Dark decided to change the subject.
"Chris huh... I should make you my personal guard. Hah. Or maybe even Twilight's. Hmm." Dark thought.
Dark decided to think about that later. She had to think about what I'm going to do to Twilight.
Dark got up and went to her big desk on the left side, and started writing on a pace of paper. Dark was writing what she was going to do to Twilight tomorrow.
Dark knew she wouldn't get any sleep.
"Twilight! Wake up!" Spike shouted.
It took Twilight a minute to wake up, but once she was awake. She instantly looked at Spike, then at the time.
"Spike do you know what time it is!? It's five in the morning!" Twilight said angrily.
"Applejack wants to talk to you outside the castle," Spike said.
Twilight was surprised, but only for a second.
"Ugh.... Does she realizes what time it is?" Twilight said.
Twilight's hair was messed up, and she was really tried. Twilight knew this was not a good way to start the day. Twilight slowly got up from her bed and slowly walked to the door. Once Twilight was at the door, She opens it with her magic.
"Twilight. I'm sorry I woke you up so earlier. It's important." Applejack said.
"What is it?" Twilight said, still annoyed.
"I ya wanted to talk about that pony. The pony named, uh Dark. I wanted to say sorry I couldn't be there."
After Twilight heard that, she felt like she was going to explode. But she kept her cool, Twilight was tried, and knew there was no point in auguring at this time.
"Tell me.... Why would you wake me this earlier!?" Twilight said angrily and annoyed.
"I, wouldn't have any time, expect now. Since I'm always really busy with Sweet Apple Acres." Applejack said
"Ugh... I'll let it go, but tell me when you're going to wake me up this early." Twilight said.
"I will, and uh... See ya later," Applejack said while walking away.
"See you later." Twilight said and closed the door.
Dark
"5:30. I should get going." Dark said. As she looked down at her paper to see what she wrote.
"Okay, just do that, and Princess Twilight should trust you," Dark whispered to herself.
Dark got up and went to her bathroom. There was a mirror, toilet, and a bathtub. The bathroom was very small.
"I really need to redecorate everything." Dark thought.
Dark did everything she needed to do in the bathroom. And she thought about her plan and looked at it again, even though Dark got no sleep. She had to meet Twilight today. If she doesn't do this, she may not get the change again or I would just have to wait a long time.
Dark decided not to go out of her bedroom and just teleport to Twilight's castle. Dark didn't want to talk or deal with any pony expect for Twilight, She also didn't want blood.
The last thing Dark needed to do is change form and look at the time.
"Okay. It's 5:45, I'm ready." Dark thought, and then teleported away to Twilight's castle.
Once Dark was tight in front of Twilight's castle, Dark needed to make sure she was really ready. And Dark realized she really was.
After a few minutes of waiting, Dark decided that it would be good to just lay down and take a quick nap. She walked over to the wall right next to the two doors. And sat down. This way she wasn't in any pony's way and Twilight could just wake her up.
20 minutes later....
"Dark! wake up!"
Dark opened her eyes and see who woke her up, it was Twilight.
"Oh... Twilight it's you." Dark said, and slowly got up from the ground.
"So what did you want?" Twilight said, sounded a bit annoyed.
"I wanted to spend the whole day with you. The first thing I planned was to go to the bridge. Talk and watch the sun rise." Dark said calmly.
Twilight looked surprised and nodded.
"I'm sorry I wasn't so kind to you. I just didn't trust you... And my friends said I should give you a chance... I will... When you said you wanted to meet me here alone. I assumed that you would say that I didn't teach you anything about friendship... I want to thank you for being so calm to me, and my friends." Twilight said, lying to Dark about the friendship part.
Dark wanted to question why Twilight thought that she hasn't taught her about friendship, but Dark decided to say nothing.
"Do you want to go to the bridge?" Dark asked.
"Yes," Twilight said.
Dark and Twilight didn't really talk much. All they said to each other was about how yesterday was.
Once Dark and Twilight were at the bridge, they waited a few minutes. Soon the sun started to rise.
Dark and Twilight thought it was beautiful. After that, they started to talk about how pretty it was to see that. And soon they stopped talking and started walking once again.
They talked about what they would do for the rest of the day. They went to restaurants, stores, and a salon. Dark didn't even run into any problems. Basically, they walked around Ponyville.
While they did that stuff, Dark asked Twilight what it's like to be famous and begin a princess. Twilight said that it's fine, but there are too much work and too much attention.
The funny thing is that Dark felt the same way of beginning the queen of vamponys and she couldn't blame her.
Luna's moon was up when they were done for the day. Dark had lots of fun and she could tell that Twilight did too.
"I had lots of fun with you today... Thank you." Twilight said.
"No problem," Dark said.
"There is one more thing I want to do before we go home," Twilight said.
"Oh? Whats that?" Dark said with confusion.
"Follow me," Twilight said.
Twilight lead Dark to the Everfree Forest. They said nothing the whole way there. It took a few minutes, but soon they stopped, they were in some kind of hut.
"Wait here." Twilight said and enter the hut.
A few more minutes later....
"Dark! You can come in!" Twilight said in the hut.
Inside the hut, were many portions and shelf's. Twilight was siting... And also was a zebra. Dark was surprised. In all her years she had never seen a zebra.
"Dark, this is Zecora... She only wants to speak in rhymes and makes cures for colds and diseases. She can also help you if you need it." Twilight said.
"H-Hello," Dark said, still surprised.
"Welcome Dark, did you go to an amusement park?" Zecora said and smiled.
"Huh?" Dark said, more surprised.
Zecora said nothing, she grabbed two cups for Dark and Twilight and filled it.
"Go ahead and drink, before you blink," Zecora said and smiled.
Dark and Twilight did as she said, and took a sip. Then she grabbed both of their cups.
"I see you two become friends, but also some great defends," Zecora said.
"Huh...? We.... Become friends. Okay... But we defend?" Twilight said. Then she realized something.
"We become friends but have to defend something! But what?" Twilight asked.
Twilight looked at Dark.
"Defend what?" Dark asked.
"Defend to the bitter end," Zecora said.
"We become friends and have to defend something until the bitter end," Dark said.
"That's what I thought too. But what do we have to defend?" Twilight asked.
"It cant be showed because I do not know." Zecora said.
There was a moment of silence.
"Twilight you must go outside, so I can show this side," Zecora said.
Dark could tell Twilight wanted to say something, but she said nothing and went outside.
Zecora put Twilight's cup aside and continued to look at Dark's cup.
"Dark... Your carried with a heart but have to keep apart. Stay with this heart and never fall apart." Zecora said.
Dark completely understood what Zecora was saying, it was easy. Dark living more than 500 years, you learn a lot in that time. Dark think she was saying "I'm a good pony but I'm different, stay good and you'll stand strong."
The only problem was that Dark felt she was missing the most important part that's going to happen in her future. But Dark knew that it's better to get something than nothing.
"Okay. You can continue." Dark said.
"Your heart is strong but shattered and scattered. Revenge is not needed, you just need to be guided." Zecora said.
"Guide? No Revenge!?" Dark said, she really didn't believe in Zecora's words.
"You know what.. I don't believe you! I need revenge!" Dark said, and slammed the table almost making the cups spill.
Dark waited for Zecora to response. There was another moment of silence.
"I'm in need in some time. You must go." Zecora said. And then Dark was forced to leave the hut.
"You can't just kick me out like this!" Dark said.
Zecora said nothing. And closed the door.
After Zecora kicked Dark out of the hut, Twilight was sitting down the steps and Dark joined her.
"I'm back. Shall we get going?" Dark asked.
Twilight nodded happily, and got up, and stated walking back home. Dark joined her again.
One minute past after that. Then Twilight looked at Dark.
"What did Zecora say to you?" Twilight asked, and looked at Dark.
"It's personal... But she told me how I could fix my problems that I'm having. " Dark said quickly.
Twilight stopped walking.
"What kind of problems?" Twilight asked in anger.
Dark wanted to reply, but they were suddenly saw three timberwolves.
"Timberwolves!" Dark shouted.
Dark used her magic and put Twilight on top of a tree.
The three Timberwolves noticed Dark and howled in the air. They ran up to Dark and got ready to attack.
Dark knew this was a dumb idea, but Dark knew she needed to protect Twilight.
Dark smiled at the Timberwolves, but that smile disappeared when Dark realized she made a mistake.
"I forgot to drink animal blood! Without blood and my wings, I may not be able to defeat these Timberwolves! Shoot!" Dark thought and scolded herself.
"What are you doing?! Come up here!" Twilight shouted.
Dark was still looking at the timberwolves and yelled.
"As a true friend, you always help when your friend is in need!"
The Timberwolf on the right attacked her first. Dark dodged it, then the middle one attack, Dark also dodged that. Then the right and the left attacked her, but Dark jumped back. Then Dark used her magic to shoot a powerful lighting spell at the middle Timberwolf. It didn't miss and the Timberwolf flew back and hit the ground with a thunk, and it didn't get up.
Dark knew she couldn't dodge anymore. That spell took out most of her energy. Dark soon got scratched on the right side of her stomach from the Timberwolf on the right, and Dark fell down.
"Dark!"
Dark could her Twilight scream her name, and then soon Dark blacked out.
"Ugh.... Where am I?" Dark said.
Dark open her eyes to see where she was. She was in a bedroom. Dark looked to see why she was on the floor. Dark had something on the right side of her stomach, It was a pipe. There was a blood pack connected to the pipe. And the pipe was connected to Dark's vain.
"Why am I not in a hospital?" Dark asked to herself.
"I thought you wouldn't make in time, so I did my own treatment," Twilight said, and walked in the room.
Dark looked at Twilight. She didn't have any of her princess wear, and her hair was still messy.
"Twilight! What happened?" Dark asked.
"After that timberwolf scratch you, and you blacked out. I use my teleportation spell to bring you here and I fixed you up." Twilight said.
"How long have I been out?" Dark asked.
Twilight raised her hoof and put it on her chin.
"Only three hours, which is really surprising. I thought you would be out the whole day." Twilight said.
Dark wasn't surprised. She didn't sleep all day, but giving a vampony blood for at least an hour is better then getting sleep.
Dark decided to change the subject and thank Twilight.
"Thanks for.... Um, well saving my life." Dark said, and blushed a bit.
Twilight walked closer to Dark and hug her.
"Huh?" Dark was surprised.
"You deserve it," Twilight said. Then she let go of the hug.
"Twilight, I'll I did is have fun with you for a whole day," Dark said while getting up.
Twilight put her right hoof on Dark's shoulder.
"That's true, but you saved my life. Well, tried. But you said something really important about friendship, I'll never forget what you said. And I thank you for that." Twilight said, and she started to cry.
"Twilight..." Dark said softly and hugged her.
"You said. As a true friend, you always help when your friend is in need. That's an important part of making a friendship." Twilight said.
Dark let go of Twilight and smiled.
"Thanks, Twilight." Dark said.
Dark wanted to go, but she needed to ask something.
"Friends?" Dark asked.
"Friends," Twilight said.
Now that Dark knew Twilight could trust her. She needed to get some rest and see how her guards and maids are doing.
"I should get going, I need to rest," Dark said. And pulled out the tube, from the blood pack.
Twilight nodded and walked with her to get out of her bedroom, and to show Dark the door leading outside.
"Goodbye." Dark said and walked to the door.
"Goodbye," Twilight said.
Then Dark closed the door.
Once Twilight saw Dark leave, she went back to her bedroom. Twilight forgot Spike wasn't here, he went to help Rarity. Rarity needed some gems for a dress that was due tomorrow and asked Spike to come. He saw Dark and asked what happened, and Twilight lied, saying she got scratched, but she didn't know what. And then Rarity came and they both left.
Twilight laid there on her bed, thinking.
"I should tell Celestia about Dark. Celestia would be happy that Dark tried to save my life. She would also be happy that ponies care about friendship." Twilight thought.
"I'll tell Celestia tomorrow when I'm done with my royal duties. But do I really want to? I don't even know if Dark want's to meet Celestia. Or that Celestia wants to meet Dark. But it would make Celestia happy, but Dark is shy when I start talking about her and she probably wouldn't like to do it in front of Princess Celestia." Twilight thought.
"If Dark comes back tomorrow, I'll ask." Twilight thought.
Soon Twilight's eyes started to close and she couldn't think anymore, she was so tired. Being a nurse is harder than it looks. And soon Twilight drifted off to sleep.
Dark
Dark walked in her castle, with her original form. Two guards notice her right away and bowed.
"Queen Dark, your back! There's a problem!" Said one of her guards.
"I wonder what this is about." Dark thought.
"What going on?" Dark asked in her queen voice.
"I don't know what's going on, but outside your room, my queen." Said the same guard.
"Thank you. You may get up now my guards. Dark said, and walked away to her room.
Dark walked proper the whole way. Thanks to Twilight, she has enough blood to not be tried. Dark hasn't felt this way in a long time.
The hallways were empty, which was really surprising.
"Why are none of my guard here?!" Dark thought. Little worry that something went wrong.
Once Dark was at the hallway where her bedroom is. She was even more surprised. There was a crowd of guards at her bedroom door.
"What going on?'
"Is she still in her bedroom?"
"Is the queen okay?"
"Whats the queen's plan?"
All Dark could hear was questions from her guards.
Dark wanted to speak up, saying she was here. But Dark wanted to see where this goes. And sat down.
"Everyone calm down!" A voice said.
It went silent after that, and ever pony sat down. The voice was Chris.
"Thank you," Chris said.
"As you all know. Queen Dark has a plan. All we know is that a princess and the princesses friends are needed for the plan. I'm worried about the queens safety to, but we must stay calm. The queen trusts us to be her guards. She trusts us to not be afraid and trust her." Chris said, standing proud and tall.
"He's right," Dark said.
Every pony looked at her. Dark walked to Chris to continue what she had to say.
"I am surprised at this behavior. I trust you guards to protect me. I thank you for worrying about me, but I'm fine." Dark said in her queen voice.
"Now go! And leave me in peace!" Dark shouted in her queen voice. And move her right hoof, in a shew-away motion.
"Yes, my queen." They all said and bowed. Then they all left, to go to their original spots.
Once they left, Dark said to Chris.
"Thank you for saying that, keep it up and you might get promoted."
Chris nodded and smiled. But that smile didn't last, he noticed the side of Dark's stomach was patched up.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Chris question, and raise his hoof, to point at the side of Dark's stomach.
"Yes. I tripped when I was in my room so I used a first aid kit." Dark said, lying.
Chris looked like he didn't believe her but said.
"As a guard, we are supposed to trust you. I trust you."
Dark hate's lying to people who trust her. But she didn't want Chris to know her plan. So Dark just said.
"Thank you for trusting me. But we should go back to our duties."
Chris nodded.
"See you later my queen," Chris said. Bowed, and started walking away.
"Goodbye," Dark said. And opened the door to her bedroom, and closed it.
"Queen Dark! Your blood pack is here." Dark's maid said as she gave Dark the blood pack.
"Thank you, my maid. You may now leave." Dark said.
Dark's maid bowed.
"Yes, my queen." Dark's maid said, and left.
Dark was sitting on her throne. She was already healed. The two guards that are always next to her didn't suspect anything.
"I should get going. I need to see how Twilight is doing. And make sure she trust me, it doesn't hurt to double check." Dark thought.
"Guards, I'm leaving the castle to go to Ponyville. Make sure a riot doesn't start while I'm gone." Dark said in her queen voice.
"Yes, my queen," They said.
Dark got up, with her blood pack and went to her room.
Once Dark was in her room, She checked the time.
"12:21. Okay, here I come Twilight." Dark thought
Dark change form, and teleported to Twilight's castle.
Once Dark was at Twilight's castle. She knocked on the door. No answer, so Dark waited and knocked the door harder, and waited some more. Until Dark heard a voice.
"Coming!" Twilight said.
The door opened. And Twilight had her princess gear on. She looked pretty.
"Oh! Dark. It's you... Come in." Twilight said, and moved out of the way, so Dark could get in.
Dark nodded and walked in.
"So, what are you doing here Dark?" Twilight asked.
"I wanted to tell you that I'm okay, look even the scratch is gone," Dark said and showed Twilight.
Twilight nodded in approval. Then Twilight's face looked surprised.
"Only a few hours of healing, and it's fully healed already. That's strange, but it's good." Twilight said.
Twilight put her right hoof on her chin. And her face suddenly changes, she looked like she remembers something.
"Oh! I forget to tell you!" Twilight said, excited.
"What?" Dark asked.
"Would you like to meet Princess Celestia?" Twilight said.
"Huh?" Dark said, surprise.
"Why?" Dark asked quickly.
"You tried to save my life, and you said an important thing about friendship! Princess Celestia would like you!" Twilight said happily.
Dark sat down and thought for a moment.
"I really don't want to meet Celestia, but this could help my plan. Not only could I see Celesta's castle, I could see how her guards are, and how there equipped. If I ever want to do an attack, I would know where to hit her castle and her guards. I shouldn't be worried about princess Celestia finding out I'm a vampony. That was more than 500 years ago. I'll do it." Dark thought
"I would love to meet Princess Celestia... When?" Dark asked.
"Today, right now," Twilight said.
"That would be perfect. Thanks, Twilight." Dark said nicely.
Twilight nodded.
"Alright. Are you ready?" Twilight asked.
Dark nodded.
"Let's go!" Twilight said. And use her teleportation spell.
They teleported right to the front gates of Celestia castle. The castle was huge. I think even bigger than Dark's.
"Welcome to Caterlot, Dark," Twilight said and walk to the gates.
"Halt. who goes there...? Princess Twilight?!" Said the guard on the right.
"Please open the gates," Twilight said.
"Yes, your majesty." Said the guard on the left and bowed.
After the gates open. There was a lot of guard in a line. They bowed as Twilight past.
"Very organized. That is bad... For me anyways." Dark thought.
Once they were in the castle. Twilight showed Dark around until they were at the doors of Princess Celestia throne room.
"Guards, tell Princess Celestia, that I'm here."
"Yes, your majesty." Said the guards, and walked in the throne room.
"I'll call you when you can come in. I need to tell Princess Celestia about you." Twilight said.
Dark nodded.
"Your majesty. Princess Celestia would like you to come in." Said one of the guards.
Twilight nodded and walked in.
A few minutes later..
"Dark! You can come in." Twilight said.
Dark walked in. The first thing she noticed is that the sun god was sitting on her sunny throne. And Twilight was sitting on the red carpet, right in front of Celestia. And two guards were standing next to her, just like Dark's.
Once Dark was next to Twilight and almost right in front of Princess Celestia, Dark bowed.
"Princess Celestia, this is Dark. The pony who tried to save my life, and learning about friendship." Twilight said.
After Twilight said that. Celestia looked at Dark, then back to Twilight.
"Thank you Twilight, but I want to talk to Dark alone." Princess Celestia said.
Twilight nodded and left the throne room.
Dark got up, and she looked at Princess Celestia. For some reason, she looked taller and more royal while sitting on that throne.
"Alright, here I go.... Don't fail now." Dark thought nervously.
"I appreciate that you tried to save a pony that I hold dearly. Now I have to ask, why did you risk your own life when you could have asked Twilight to teleport you both away?" Celestia asked.
Dark was surprised that Celestia asked that. Dark wasn't prepared. Dark may have live more than 500 years, but Celestia has lived more than 1,000 years. Celestia rules over towns and cities. Dark just rules over a castle. Dark knows Celestia is a lot smarter than her and had dealt with enemy's that live as long as her. She may be great and powerful, but she had to use the elements. Without them, she wouldn't be alive. If the elements didn't exist, Dark's parents would still be alive, and they would have the world all to their self's.
Dark wanted to say, "because I haven't thought of it that way." But she said.
"Because as a true friend, you help your friends in need, even if it cost something you hold dearly or even your life. Because maybe one day, that friend may be the most important pony that cares for you." Dark said with confidence.
Celestia smiled and asked.
"One more question. Why do you want to learn about friendship?"
"I just want to learn about friendship, so I can have great friends and respect," Dark said, lying.
Celestia smiled again, then nodded in approval.
"How did it go?" Twilight asked as Dark walked out of the throne room.
"You were right, she was happy to see that ponies care for each other," Dark said.
Twilight smiled. But that smile quickly disappeared.
"So what now? Does Princess Celestia want you to do something?" Twilight asked.
"No, she just told me to leave," Dark said.
Twilight's face looked surprised. And said.
"Well okay, if she said that, might as well go home."
"Teleport?" Dark asked.
Twilight nodded.
"Ready?" Twilight asked.
"Ready," Dark said.
Twilight use her teleportation spell, to go to her castle.
After that, they both went inside the castle. Dark got to meet Spike. He's an okay dragon. Honestly, Dark was expecting him to be a lot bigger. Dark could use him if he becomes bigger.
When they got to Twilight's room. Dark asked Twilight how she became the princess of friendship and the adventures she did. Twilight thought for a moment, then told her the adventures she had with her friends. She also said that, without her friends, she wouldn't be the princess of friendship.
This told Dark, Twilight has potential and also her friends. Dark knew it wouldn't be long before she gets her revenge, and take over the world. Queen Twilight right beside Dark, and her friends right beside Twilight. Fighting against Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. That would be the best day ever for Dark. But that's only a dream. For now....
"Thanks for telling me theses story's Twilight. But I'm really tried, and meeting the princess was harder than I thought." Dark said, lying.
"I understand. Meeting the princess, for the first time ever, is scary, and exhausting." Twilight said.
Dark nodded.
"Thanks, Twilight. And I must say goodbye." Dark said. And started to get out of the room.
"Goodbye, Dark," Twilight said and smiled a bit.
After Dark left Twilight's bedroom, Dark also said goodbye to Spike and left Twilight's castle. Soon after Dark teleported to her room.
"Aw. Home sweet home." Dark thought. And change back to her original form, then walked to her bed and laid down on it.
Soon Dark started to think.
Dark thought how she has been doing, as an only queen. Caring for her ponies, fighting for survival. How her parents think of her. She knows's they are proud of her. But Dark can't help but wonder if she could have saved them. Dark decided to think about something else. She hates thinking about her past. It just makes her sad, and depressed.
So Dark thought about her plan instead. But soon she started to panic.
"Should...I...." Nervously thinking. Forcing herself to finish the sentence that she was thinking.
"Turn...Twilight.... Today?" Dark thought then jumped out of her bed to think more on the subject.
Dark thought about those words for a few minutes. And looked at the time.
"2:21. I have a few hours to decided. But before I start thinking, I should tell some guards that I'm here. I don't want my guards to be at my door again." Dark thought.
Dark walked out of her and told a few guards that she here, and also said.
"I'll be in my room for the rest of my day."
Then Dark walked back into her room. She once again walked to her bed and sat on it. And thought about a few questions.
"Should I do it? If yes, how should I do it? How will Twilight take it? How will I make her fight for my side?" Dark asked herself.
"I need to make sure these questions get answered before I take action," Dark thought.
A few hours later....
Dark needed to make a decision. And make sure she was ready to make that decision.
Dark close her eyes.
"I was born this way.... I am good, but I have no choice but to survive. I wish there was a better way, but being born this way doesn't help."
Dark couldn't deny it. It's the truth. It's her destiny... To * survive** and to be different. It doesn't matter if she's good or bad. This will happen no matter what. But she needs to be good. It's for my parents and Twilight.*
Dark opened her eyes.
Dark got off of her bed, then looked at the time. It was 8:40 pm. Dark nodded and change form once again. Dark knew she really didn't need to change form, it was just in case the plan went wrong. Dark doubled check that she was ready, then she teleported to Twilight's castle.
Once Dark was there, she starting walking to Twilight's castle. But suddenly stopped. She didn't want to do this. But she knew, she would have to do this. It was for survival.
Dark saw a window from the castle. She noticed that it was Twilight's bedroom, and the lights were on.
So Dark use her magic to float to the window. Spike and Twilight were there, reading some books. Twilight hair was normal but she wasn't wearing any of her princess gear.
Dark had to get Spike to go to sleep. So he would think Twilight left in the morning. Dark cast a sleeping spell on Spike while floating in the air. Dark knew she wouldn't have trouble casting this spell. She had about 500 years to master this spell. It was no problem at all.
Spike yawned.
"Hey Twilight, I'm starting to falling asleep. I think I'm going to go to bed." Spike said. And started walking to the door.
Twilight nodded and didn't say anything. She was glued to her book. Dark wondered how Twilight so glued to that book, It was really unnatural.
Once Spike closed the door. Dark waited a few minutes to make sure Twilight was really glued to that book. Once Dark was sure she was.
Dark teleported inside Twilight's bedroom. Twilight didn't even hear anything. She didn't even look away from her book.
Dark levitated a thick book that was on the ground. Dark gets ready to hit Twilight with it. So Dark can knock her out.
"Sorry Twilight," Dark whispered, and hit her with the book.
Twilight didn't even make a sound. The only thing Dark could hear was the thump of Twilight hitting the ground and the book also hitting the ground.
Once Twilight was on the ground, Dark teleported with Twilight to her room. Twilight wasn't bleeding at all. But she will soon.
Dark grabbed a towel from her bathroom and laid it down, then put Twilight on top of the towel. Then Dark grabbed a health pack under her bed. She put it under there just in case of an emergency. She pulls out in empty blood pack and a tube and bandages. Dark changed back to her original form. And soon Dark was ready.
"I'm sorry Twilight. It's for survival, you'll understand one day." Dark whispered, and move closer to Twilight's neck.
Dark could hear Twilight's heart beating. It was calm and slow. And Dark couldn't wait to taste Twilight's blood. Dark slowly began to lose her sanity, as Twilight's heart beat more and more until she couldn't take it anymore.
Twilight's neck was so soft, it was like biting butter. Dark lost it. She didn't feel guilty at all. Twilight's blood was so good, it was the best blood she ever had tasted in her life. Dark wouldn't let one drop of blood go to waste. And the best part is, she could hear Twilight's heart slow down, every time she took a sip of Twilight's blood. Dark stopped when she barely could hear Twilight's heart, and let go of her neck. Dark licked Twilight's neck to get the rest of the blood. And then realized what she just did.
"No! What have I done!?" Dark thought. And quickly grabbed the empty blood pack.
Dark found a vein in her hoof and used her fangs to cut herself. And put the blood in the blood pack. Dark use her levitation spell, to find a vein in Twilight and connected it to the tube, then Dark connected to the blood pack.
Dark levitated the blood pack for a bit.
Then Dark had an idea, Dark levitated a stool she uses when she want to sit at her desk. Dark put the blood pack on her stool and let it sit on the edge. So it still delivers blood but she doesn't have to use her magic anymore.
The timed passed as Dark had to refill the blood pack a few times until Twilight's heart beat normally again.
"it's going to take a day or two. Before Twilight's heart stops beating, and then changes begin. The whole transformation may take a week or more." Dark thought.
"I need to rest. I had a long day. I really feel sad and guilty that I almost killed Twilight. But I have to put my feelings aside. I have to convince ever pony tomorrow, especially Spike. That I didn't see Twilight since I left the castle." Dark thought.
Dark slowly walked to her bed and crawled into her blanket, before she closed her eyes, she looked at Twilight.
A pain of guilt and sadness came when she looked at Twilight. And it just stayed there. Dark wanted to cry. But she knew she couldn't.
"There is no point in crying now. It's too late to go back. I must stay strong!" Dark thought.
Dark stopped thinking after that thought. She barely could keep her eyes open, and soon feel asleep.
"What do you want to do now Twilight?" Dark asked.
Twilight didn't say anything. She just sat there on the bridge looking at the moon. Dark couldn't see her face.
"Twilight... Are you okay?" Dark asked and then put a hoof on Twilight's shoulder.
Twilight still didn't say anything.
"Twilight?" Dark asked nervously.
Twilight slowly turn her head. Once Dark saw her face. She was scared and backed away a few steps.
Twilight's eyes were red. And cat-like, they almost looked like Dark's eyes. Blood was dripping from her neck, and you could see two bite marks. Twilight walked closer to Dark. Each step she took, she looked more and more like a vampony. Or more like a * monster*.
"Why did you do this?!" Twilight shouted. Her voice, it was ten more times creepy. And it sounded like she was in pain.
"It was for survival Twilight! You know what I mean? Right?... Twilight?" Dark asked nervously. Dark didn't move.
Twilight said nothing. She stopped walking. Blood started pouring from her eyes.
"I thought you were my friend..." Twilight said.
"I-I am your friend!" Dark shouted.
"Twilight!....... Twilight?" Dark said and looked around. She was in her bedroom.
Dark wiped the sweat from her forehead and put her head back down on her pillow.
"That was a dream? That felt so real." Dark thought.
There was a monument of silence.
"I should get up." Dark thought
Dark did. She decided to get ready, brush her teeth, then shower, then hair. Once Dark was done, she was ready to sit on her throne. But needed to see how Twilight is. Dark looked at Twilight. Twilight was laying on the right side of the blanket. Then Dark looked at Twilight's face.
"Twilight..... I'm sorry..." Dark whispered.
Twilight looked a bit in pain, but at the same time, she looked peaceful. Dark didn't know why she looked at peace, she just did.
Dark needed to make sure the transformation is going good, and that Twilight isn't disturbed. Dark walked over to Twilight. And listen to Twilight's heart.
"Heart is good, a little slower, but I think her body is getting ready for the change." Dark thought.
There was another moment of silence
"I should look at her teeth. That will give me a hint when the transformation is starting." Dark thought.
Dark open a bit of Twilight's mouth, Dark saw Twilight's canine's were a little bit sharp.
"Okay the transformation is starting. I best leave Twilight alone. But..." Dark thought and looked at the blood pack.
Dark got up and grabbed the blood pack, then went to the bathroom. She filled the blood pack with water and went back to Twilight.
"Twilight should get some water, she is still normal, and it could speed the transformation." Dark thought and connected the blood pack to the tube.
Dark looked at the time.
"9:00 am. I'll go my throne and ask for some blood and continue with my plan." Dark thought and walked to the door.
Dark looked at Twilight one last time before Dark left her bedroom.
"Soon....Dark....Soon." Dark whispered. And left the bedroom.
30 minutes later
Dark knocked at Twilight's castle door and waited. Spike open the door.
"Hey Spike, is Twilight in the castle?" Dark asked.
"No. I haven't seen her. I thought she was with you." Spike said.
"Oh? Why do you think that?" Dark asked.
"Twilight said, you might be here tomorrow, to do something," Spike said.
Dark sat down, and put a hoof on her chin, and looked at Spike, with a confused face.
"I haven't seen Twilight since I left the castle. I waved goodbye to you and Twilight, then I left." Dark said, lying.
Spike didn't look like he believes Dark, but he couldn't disagree that he said goodbye to Dark.
"Then should we look for her?" Spike asked.
Dark nodded.
"We should check Rarity's boutique, Twilight could be talking to Rarity," Dark said.
Spike nodded and climbed Dark's back. She got up and started running.
"Why are you running?" Spike asked.
"I'm worried, Spike. What if Twilight gets hurt? or worse. I feel better once I see Twilight." Dark said, lying.
Spike wanted to say Twilight's going to be fine. but he feels the same way, so he nodded in agreement.
4 hours later
They were back in Twilight's castle. In the kitchen, fighting was Twilight could be.
"Spike! We looked everywhere. Where else could she be? We met Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. No pony has seen her." Dark said.
"She could be in Canterlot," Spike said.
Dark slammed her head against the kitchen table, then she lifted her head.
"Twilight would have to send a message that she was in Canterlot. Or even princess Celestia!" Dark said.
There was a moment of silence until Spike said.
"Should we write a letter to Princess Celestia?"
Dark became worried after Spike said that, Celestia could ruin her plans.
"What can she do?" Dark asked.
"Send all her guards to Ponyville and Canterlot. Asked around If they seen Twilight." Spike said.
"But princess Celestia could get stressed out. We should in least tell her in private. " Dark said.
"Come on Dark.. Were talking about princess Celestia." Spike said and he pulled out a letter.
Dark knew there was no convincing Spike. Dark realized that Celestia would have to know sometimes. She knows Celestia cares for her ponies as much as Dark does. Celestia would do the same as Dark. Celestia would do anything to have Twilight back. So Dark let Spike write.
Spike started writing. And Dark watch, what he wrote.
Dear Princess Celestia.
We have a problem and would like to talk to you, Princess Celestia. It's about Twilight.
From Spike and Dark.
Spike fished writing, and then he sends it to Celestia.
"Why did you not tell Celestia that Twilight is missing?" Dark asked.
"Heh. I have to admit, I rather tell her private, now that I think about it." Spike said and smiled.
"Spike. Where do you think Twilight is?" Dark asked.
"I don't know, she could be anywhere by now." Spike said.
Dark and Spike didn't say anything after that. They were waiting for Princess Celestia. They both were sitting at the door.
"For a princess, you think Celestia would be here faster. This is about Twilight after all." Dark thought to herself.
Suddenly Spike and Dark heard a knock. Spike walked over and opened the door.
"Princess Celestia!" Spike said.
Dark said nothing. Just smiled.
"Please forgive me for taking so long." Princess Celestia said.
"That's alright, Princess Celestia." Dark said.
"I believe we should go to the kitchen to talk about this." Dark said.
Celestia nodded in agreement, and started walking to the kitchen.
Dark, Celestia and Spike all started walking. Dark needed to ask Spike something, so she walked over to Spike.
"Psssh. Spike. How will Princess Celestia take the news? Dark whispered to Spike.
"I have no idea." Spike whispered back to Dark.
The walk to kitchen felt like forever to Dark. Dark was only half nervous. Dark knew that she would have to tell Princess Celestia. That was part of her plan. But she doesn't know how Princess Celestia will react to this news. Celestia could find out that Dark took Twilight. And most likely be executed.
Once they were all at the kitchen, they all sat down.
"What's this about Twilight?" Celestia asked, and made a faint smile.
Dark looked at Spike and Spike looked at Dark.
"We believe Twilight is........" Dark trailed off, worried how Celestia will take this.
"Yes?" Celestia asked nicely.
"Twilight is missing." Spike said seriously.
Celestia's smile disappeared, and was replace with a serious look.
Dark could tell Celestia was thinking.
"When did she disappear?" Celestia asked seriously, but still in her princess calm voice.
"Me and Spike believe that Twilight left the castle. And apparently left Ponyville last night." Dark said.
There was a moment of silence.
"Are you sure Twilight isn't in Ponyville?" Celestia asked.
Dark and Spike nodded saying they were sure.
"That makes no sense...." Celestia said.
Dark and Spike wondered what Celestia meant.
Celestia suddenly looked at Dark.
"Twilight wouldn't go outside at night, unless a good reason. She also wouldn't leave Ponyville at night. She knows it's dangerous out their. Twilight wouldn't even leave Ponyville in the morning without telling me. I don't even think Twilight wouldn't leave Ponyville without a very good reason." Celestia said.
"So what dose this mean?" Spike asked.
Celestia looked at Spike.
"I think Twilight was kidnapped." Celestia said.
Spike face turned worried.
"Kidnapped?" Spike and Dark said. Dark was trying to cover up, so she pretend to be surprised.
Celestia looked back at Dark.
"Think about it. Twilight leaving Ponyville at night? It doesn't make sense. If Twilight was kidnapped, that would explain why she hasn't said anything about leaving Ponyville." Celestia said.
Celestia looked at Spike and Dark.
Celestia sighed.
"But.... That leaves a lot of questions. Why not attack Canterlot? Why take Twilight? Who kidnapped Twilight? and why?" Celestia asked.
There was another moment of silence.
"Who ever this is. They will pay for their crimes." Celestia said.
After Celestia said that, Dark had a idea.
"Hey Spike, was their any evidence to show were Twilight might have gone?" Dark asked.
"No, nothing. I looked all over the castle. Her bedroom was complete normal." Spike said.
Dark was about to say that it's impossible to find Twilight. But Celestia beat her to it.
"If that's true, then it's impossible to find Twilight. But, if I can find who kidnapped Twilight. I may know their base and rescue Twilight."
Celestia continued.
"In the meantime, I would tell the others."
Dark and Spike nodded saying, they understood.
Celestia turned to the exit and started walking out of the kitchen.
Celestia turn her head to look at Spike and Dark.
"I must go back to Canterlot. I will see you later." Celestia said, and smiled. She turned her head once more, to see the doorway.
"Oh! I almost forgot." Celestia said. And turn her head again.
"Thank you both for telling me." Celestia said, and smiled.
A few minutes later.
Spike and Dark left the kitchen, and was heading for the door to tell the others.
"I think Princess Celestia is starting to like you." Spike said.
"Huh? Why do you think that?" Dark asked, and looked at Spike.
Spike looked back at Dark.
"Maybe it was something you said or did. But can't you tell? She trusts you." Spike said.
Dark looked away from Spike.
"Who knows? You may even become her student." Spike said, and chuckled a bit.
Dark stopped walking for a bit. But then she started walking again, once she knew how silly that was.
"Become Celestia's student? Ha! Never. If Celestia didn't kill my parents, I wouldn't be here right now." Dark thought.
Princess Celestia
Once Princess Celestia was back in Caterlot. She went to her room, and started thinking. She was thinking about the enemy's she had in the past.
Their was a knock on the door. Celestia walked to the door and opened it. It was Princess Luna.
"Sister? What are you doing here?" Celestia asked, surprised.
"My dear sister, may I come in?" Luna said.
"Of course." Celestia said, and moved out of the way.
Luna walked in and sat down with Celestia.
"I came to talk to you my dear sister." Luna said, calmly.
"What about?" Celestia asked.
Luna looked at her sister.
"I have hear rumors of your guards, that there is a new pony learning friendship." Luna said.
Celestia was surprised Luna heard that. Celestia was even more surprised that her sister is interested.
"Oh? Why are you so interested?" Celestia asked.
"Just curious.... What is this mare's name?" Luna asked.
"Dark." Celestia said.
"Dark? Hmm.... Perhaps I should meet this mare." Luna said.
Celestia said nothing.
"Thank you my dear sister. I must go to see this mare." Luna said. And walked to the door and closed it.
Celestia wondered about her sister sometimes, but she just smiled.
Luna. The princess of the night was watching the six ponies and Spike. They were in Twilight's castle. Luna was hidden in the darkness. So none of the six could see her. She watched as they talked. Luna learned that Twilight was kidnapped and her friends worried about her. Luna is a bit mad that her sister didn't tell her about Twilight's kidnapping. But she saw Dark. Luna was interested. She wanted to learn more about this mare. And why she wants to learn about friendship. Luna notices that she was staring at the mare, and listing to what they were saying. Luna knew something was different about this mare. The way she speaks, and the way she looks at the other five. And the fact she is named Dark. Luna felt she would get along with Dark. Luna doesn't know why she feels this way. Perhaps it's because she is the princess of the night, or maybe that she knows a lot about darkness.
"Is there really no other way to find Twilight?" Rainbow asked.
"I'm sorry. Princess Celestia is trying to find who could have done this. Spike said that the whole castle is normal. Not a trace left unnoticed." Dark said.
Rainbow Dash sighed.
"I really hope we get Twilight back," Spike said.
"Well if any of you sees Twilight. Try to get her back." Dark said.
The five nodded. And soon they left Twilight's castle.
"Well now that there gone. I should go too." Dark said.
Dark walked to the door. Once she was just a hoof away from the door. Dark turned around to say goodbye to Spike.
"Goodbye, Spike," Dark said and smiled.
"Wait!.... If you find Twilight... Please get her back." Spike stuttered as he said that.
Dark turn around to see Spike's face.
"Don't worry Spike, will find her," Dark said and smiled gently.
Spike walked right in front of Dark. He looked like he was about to cry.
Dark knew what she needed to do.
She hugged Spike.
Dark could feel Spike's tears run down to her coat.
"It's okay Spike. Will get her back." Dark said.
Spike said nothing and hugged Dark tightly.
After a long hug
Once they were done with their long hug. They said goodbye to each other. And Dark left Twilight's castle.
Dark felt a pain of guilt wash over her.
"Spike really cares about Twilight. I hate how I have to lie to my friends. Or more like hurt them." Dark thought.
Dark didn't want to back to her castle. All she does in her castle is be a queen. She barely goes outside. So Dark decided to walk around Ponyville.
A few hours later......
Dark walked around Ponyville until she saw a bridge.
"The sun is setting. I should watch it. It's always pretty." Dark thought.
Then Dark realized this is the bridge that she watched the sun set with Twilight.
Dark looked where Twilight was sitting when they watched the sun.
"Twilight." Dark thought.
Dark watched carefully as the sun disappear, and soon she was staring at the beautiful night. She always enjoyed Luna's nights. Too bad Dark couldn't see the night all the time. She usually sits on her throne, or her bed. Dark's bedtime is anytime.
Vampony's should go to bed at morning. Since vamponies really don't like the sun. They like to live in the darkness a lot more. But Dark has been woken up in the morning and night for queen reasons.
Dark's army takes shifts. Half of her army takes the morning's and the other half takes the night. Even though there hasn't been any serious threats for 500 years. There are still random animal attacks.
"Beautiful..." Dark whispered as she looked at the full moon.
"So you enjoy my night?" A pony said.
Dark looked to her left. It was Princess Luna.
"Princess Luna?!" Dark said surprisingly.
'What do you see in my night?" Luna asked quickly.
It was so sudden. Dark was a bit nervous.
Dark looked away from Luna and instead looked at the full moon.
Dark doesn't know Luna's history as much as Celestia's. Dark knows that Luna has been bashed to the moon for 1,000 years. Because of Nightmare Moon. Dark doesn't know why Luna became Nightmare Moon and what her feeling was back then. Dark could only hope for the best
"I see....." Dark said.
Luna looked at Dark after she said that.
Dark looked back at Luna.
"I see loneliness.... Not many ponies enjoy the night..." Dark said, and paused.
Luna said nothing.
Dark looked back at the moon.
"Many ponies don't realize. That Princess Celestia's sun blinds you.... It blinds you from the truth......" Dark paused again.
"But the moon is calm and relaxing. The only problem is..... It's just lonely. Many ponies don't see how beautiful the moon and the stars are. That's why most ponies sleep the night.... I really love your night, Princess Luna. I wish more ponies could see it, though."
Dark looked back at Luna.
Luna was smiling.
"Thank you. I should get those complement's more often." Luna said.
Luna looked at her moon.
"I want to meet you tomorrow night at Canterlot. Tell one of my guards that you're here to see me." Luna said.
"Huh? Why?" Dark asked.
Luna looked back at Dark.
"All I will say is that... You're special." Luna said.
Dark said nothing, she smiled slightly. And looked back at the moon.
"Special? What does Luna mean? The only thing I've done here is try nice to every pony and become their friends. I only saved Twilight once. I don't even think Luna knows that. So what does she see in me? That's supposed to be so special..." Dark thought sarcastically.
There was a moment of silence.
"My dear mare. I must be going. As the princess of the night, I have royal duties to attend to." Luna said and teleported away.
"Ummmm.... Goodbye....?" Dark said, and looked back at the moon.
Dark walked over to the right and saw some grass that she could lay down. The whole area was clear of ponies. There were some houses, but Dark knew she wouldn't be disturbed. Once she was laying there, she looked at the stars.
"Twilight..." Dark said, and started to think.
Dark's Thoughts
"Your heart is strong but shattered and scattered. Revenge is not needed, you just need to be guided." Hearing Zecora's voice.
"I think Princess Celestia is starting to like you." Hearing Spike's voice.
"Who knows? You may even become her student." Hearing Spike's voice.
"All I will say, is that... You're special." Hearing Luna's voice.
"Revenge is not needed.... You may even become her student.... You're special....." Dark thought.
"I think I finally get what Zecora meant. I can decide." Dark thought.
"I don't have to kill Celestia if I don't want to." Dark thought.
"This is going to be a hard decision." Dark thought sarcastically.
Dark thought about that decision a moment.
"Hahaha. Like I'm going to let Celestia live. I can't believe I had to think a moment about that. Haha." Dark thought sarcastically and laughed.
"But..... I have to admit, I should check with Zecora just in case. It may help me make the right decision. " Dark thought.
End of Dark's Thoughts
Once Dark was done thinking. She looked at the full moon one last time. And teleported to Zecora's hut.
Once Dark was at Zecora's hut. Dark just walked in right away.
She knew it was rude to walk in without knocking, but she didn't care.
Zecora turned around, and notice Dark coming in.
"Dark? Why are you so late? Perhaps it's fate?" Zecora asked.
"Hello, Zecora. Sorry to come so late... I need your help." Dark said.
After Dark said that. Zecora grabbed two cups, she filled them. And put them on the table.
Dark sat down right away.
Dark use her magic to levitate the cup. And took a sip from the cup.
"Help? Tell me what is making you yelp?" Zecora asked.
Dark levitate the cup back on the table.
"How will I know when it's time to make the right choice?... How will I know what's the right choice?" Dark asked desperately.
There was a moment of silence.
Dark moved her head down in shame.
"How will I know?" Dark asked desperately.
"Trust... You'll now what you must." Zecora said.
Dark moved her head back up to look at Zecora
"What?...." Dark asked.
Dark quickly got frustrated that Zecora wasn't making any sense.
"That doesn't help Zecora! Can you please show me my future?" Dark asked.
Zecora took the cup that Dark took a sip out of.
"A decision must be made.... Good or evil is what you must make. Once you made that decision you will awake." Zecora said.
Dark was going to say something. But Zecora interrupted her.
"I'm afraid that is all it shows," Zecora said.
Dark said nothing.
Zecora got up. She walked up to Dark and put her hoof on Dark's shoulder. Dark watched Zecora the whole time and didn't say anything.
"Do not threat. When the time comes, you'll be in debt." Zecora said.
Dark said nothing. She gave Zecora the mean queen face. Then teleported away.
Zecora smiled.
Dark teleported right outside Zecora's hut. She knew it was a waste of time. She didn't understand what Zecora was saying... At all. Dark wish Zecora would stop speaking in rhymes. So she could understand her, and know a bit of her future.
"It looks like I'm going to have to figure out what's the right decision by myself. I just hope I get it right." Dark thought.
"But enough about that... I have duties calling for me. And a queen I have to take of." Dark thought.
Dark once again teleported away.
In Dark's room...
Once Dark was at her room, she instantly looked to see if Twilight was there.
Twilight was still there.
Dark let out a sigh of relief.
"She's still here. Good... I'll refill the blood pack with water, and see how Twilight's transformation is going." Dark thought.
Dark use her magic to levitate the blood pack that was hanging from the chair.
Dark disconnected the tube from the blood pack. Then levitated the blood pack and walked to the bathroom.
Finally, she was in her bathroom.
She levitated the blood pack next to the sink.
Dark sighed. And looked at herself in the mirror.
Dark looked horrible. Her hair messed up. And bags under her eyes.
"I look horrible. I have been so busy, that I haven't been able to take care of myself. If I keep this up, my guards will surely noticed and start worrying about me. That could leave a bunch of problems." Dark thought.
Then she turned on her faucet with her magic. And levitated the blood pack. Then she filled it with water.
Dark watched as the blood pack got filled with water.
Once the blood pack was filled with water. Dark got out of her bathroom and connected it to the tube.
"Before I check Twilight. I should go take care of myself." Dark said, and walked to the bathroom.
15 minutes later...
Dark walked out of the bathroom.
She no longer had messy hair, it was replaced with smooth hair. She also had no more bags under her eyes. She looked alive, even though she's actually dead.
"Finally... I can get to Twilight." Dark thought.
Dark walked over to Twilight. The first thing Dark needed to check is Twilight's fangs.
Dark sat down.
Dark touched Twilight's lip with her hoof. She needed to see Twilight's fangs.
"They look bigger and sharper. That's good.... but also bad. " Dark said.
Dark let go of Twilight's lip.
"I'm glad the transformation is going well. But there is a problem.... How is Twilight going to react when I tell her she's a vampony?!" Dark thought worriedly.
"No! I must keep calm. I'll just tell her... She'll probably freak out a bit. But when she's calm. I'll tell her it was an accident and I lost control and I'm sorry." Dark thought.
Dark decided to check if Twilight's heart was still beating. She laid her head down to Twilight's chest.
Dark waited to hear a heartbeat.
Thump........ Thump....... Thump......
Dark lifted her head and started thinking.
"Twilight's heart is beating slower than the last time I checked..... I have a feeling Twilight will die soon." Dark thought sadly.
Dark looked at the ground.
"I still wish there was a better way..." Dark whispered quietly.
"But it's Celestia's fault that she did this to me... This is Celestia's punishment!.... She'll lose her favorite princess and everything she holds dearly." Dark thought angrily.
Dark sighed heavily.
"I should stop thinking about my enemies, and focus on my plan. If my plan fails.... There will be no more revenge." Dark thought.
Dark looked back at Twilight.
"Everything else seems normal... I think..." Dark thought.
Dark shook her head.
"I should stop worrying about Twilight. She's fine. Plus, I need to get back to my throne." Dark thought confidentiality.
Dark walked to her door. But stopped to look at Twilight.
"Goodbye, friend," Dark whispered.
Dark use her magic to open the door. And close the door behind her.
Leaving poor Twilight all alone... Again.
Dark slowly walked through the hallway. She was trying to keep her queen face. But anytime the guards weren't there, her face turned sad.
"How am I going to tell my ponies that there is a new queen in the castle? And how are they going to react?" Dark thought.
"I can't even think right now! I feel so guilty! The only reason I feel bad is because of Twilight! I know why I did this to her! I did it because of that stupid Celestia! But she doesn't deserve the pain I cause her! Even though she works with Celestia!" Dark thought.
Suddenly Dark bumped into somepony.
"Hey! Watch where-" Dark was going to finish her sentence, but she saw who she bumped into.
It was Chris.
"Of all ponies! It had to be this one I bumped into." Dark thought.
Once he saw who he bumped into. He bowed.
"Please forgive me! Queen Dark! I was thinking, and I wasn't paying attention to where I was going!" Chris said.
Dark knew she couldn't be mad at him. Because she was thinking and not watching where she was going either.
"That is alright Chris, I'll forgive you this once. But try to focus on your duty then what you were thinking." Dark said in her queen voice.
He got up and nodded his head.
"Yes! Queen Dark!" He said.
"You can go now," Dark said in her queen voice.
He nodded again.
"Yes! Queen Dark!" He said and started walking past her.
Dark moved a hoof, and then wondered what he was thinking about that made him so distracted of his duties.
She turned her head and her body to look at Chris. She could tell he was super focused now.
"Wait Chris!" Dark said in her queen voice.
He turned around to look at his queen.
"Yes? Queen Dark?" He asked.
"What were you thinking about that made you so distracted of your duties?" Dark asked.
He suddenly looked around the room nervously.
"I was thinking about....." He said nervously.
"Probably about my plan...." Dark thought.
Dark turned around and closed her eyes.
"Never mind... It was probably something personal. So don't tell me. But if I catch you again thinking instead of focusing. You will be in trouble." Dark said in her queen voice.
"Yes! My Queen!" he said.
Dark suddenly could hear him running away.
"Three.... Two .... One." Dark thought and opened her eyes.
She turned around to see if he was still there. Chris was nowhere in sight.
"Yup. He was definitely thinking about my plan." Dark thought and smiled.
Few minutes later...
Dark was finally at the doors of the throne room. Two guards we standing on theirs. One was on the right and one was one the left.
They bowed once they saw Dark, and open the doors for her.
She walked on the red carpet leading towers her throne.
Once Dark sat on the throne. She felt like herself again. She felt as though her plan never existed, and Twilight was still in Ponyville. But she knew that's not the truth. No matter how long Dark denies it, she knows that destiny has plans for her. And Dark knows she is going to hate it.
In Dark's Room
Dark used her magic to opened the door to her room. Dark realized that nothing has changed in her room.
"Can't think about Twilight.... I need rest." Dark thought and jumped on her bed.
Soon Dark's eyes were starting to close, and soon she fell asleep.
Dark's Dream
" Huh? Where am I? I was just in my bedroom..." Dark thought.
Dark looked around, she was in her throne room.
"Why am I here?" Dark thought.
Her question was answered when she saw something she could never do.
Twilight and Celestia were standing them, looking at each other. Dark saw Twilight was dripping blood from her mouth and her eyes. A look of betrayal was on Twilight's face. And Celestia was standing there with no expression.
Dark looked to see why Twilight was bleeding from her mouth and her eyes. Dark was answered again. Celestia was using her magic to push a small knife in Twilight's heart.
"Why?" Twilight said.
Celestia said nothing and pulled the small knife out of Twilight's heart. Twilight fell down to her right side. You could hear the thump once she reached the floor.
Anger and sadness filled Dark. And she wanted to kill Celestia so bad, that she ran to Celestia and knocked her down with all her might.
Dark could hear the small knife hit the ground.
"I'll kill you, Celestia!" Dark said with so much hatred.
"I'm sorry..." Celestia said, and started crying tears of blood.
"Wha-"
Dark couldn't finish her sentence. Before she knew it, the knife that Celestia killed with Twilight was right in front of her face. It dripped with Twilight's blood.
Dark looked at Celestia with fear. Dark knew she couldn't move away, she was too afraid to move. The knife would hit her before she could even move an inch.
"Your pity and forgiveness have made you weak." Celestia said and smiled the evilest smile.
Dark looked back at the bloody knife. The anger Dark had was replaced with sadness and fear. She knew she was going to die. And the worst part is Celestia was going to kill her!
The knife moved away from her head a bit and then Dark realized it was going to stab her.
"N-No-"
Dark couldn't finish her sentence. Dark watched as she got stabbed in the head.
Luna got up and started walking to her porch. She slid a glass door and walked outside. Dark got up too and stood next to Luna.
Luna looked up at her moon.
"I'm sure you have heard of the story of Nightmare Moon.." Luna said seriously.
Luna looked at Dark.
"Tell me.... What do you think of Nightmare Moon?" Luna asked.
"What do I say!?" Dark thought nervously.
"Umm..." Dark said.
Luna looked back at her moon.
"Take your time, I rather have a good answer then a rushed one," Luna said.
"Nightmare Moon wanted the night to last forever? Right?" Dark asked quickly.
"That is correct," Luna said seriously.
Dark looked down at her hoofs.
"I should say the truth... I'm tired of lying." Dark thought.
Dark looked at Luna.
"I think Nightmare Moon is just a poor soul who decided to make the wrong choice," Dark said.
Luna looked back at Dark.
"Anything else?" Luna asked.
Dark looked at the moon.
"Nope," Dark said.
Luna didn't say anything after that. She merely looked back at her moon.
"Dark..." Luna paused.
Dark looked at Luna, and Luna looked back at Dark.
"Would you like to become my student?" Luna asked.
Dark looked at Luna with surprised eyes.
But soon Dark's expression changed to a serious one.
"Before I say my answer... I have a few questions." Dark said.
Luna didn't look away from the moon. Her expression didn't change either.
"What are theses questions?" Luna asked.
Dark looked at the moon with a sad expression.
"Why...? I haven't even showed you what I could do for magic.... All I did is say a few words." Dark said sadly.
Luna looked at the moon with a serious expression.
"I see something special in you. Like no pony has ever done to me, not even my sister shines the same light I see in you."
Dark said nothing and Luna continued.
"It's true that I haven't seen your full potential of magic, but I know that your magic is strong because I know your strong," Luna said.
Dark looked at Luna with surprised, yet interested eyes. She wanted her to say more.
"Your personality is like my sister... You act like a leader... I know if the most dangerous enemy went after you.... You would stand up tall, and defend your friends. And you would defeat the enemy no matter what..."
Dark looked at the ground.
"How do you know that!? You couldn't have known that much about me! Especially just by asking a few questions about me..." Dark said surprisingly.
"Correct. The questions helped me find what you're like, but I couldn't have known you that much if I just asked some questions. I looked at other things that could help me see how you are." Luna said.
"What other things?" Dark asked, and looked up at Luna.
"Your eyes.... And how you were standing, and sitting.... And the voice you made when answering my questions." Luna said and continued.
"Your voice sounds just like my sister and me, it's serious, yet kind... Your voice didn't sound afraid, expect when you first saw me. Which any normal pony would do when they see the princess of the night for the first time..." Luna paused.
Dark knew that Luna was saying was the truth.
"The way you stood up tall when you first saw me... Any other pony would try to act normal or they would just freak out." Luna said seriously.
"What about my eyes?" Dark asked quickly.
Luna's expression didn't change. She said nothing and closed her eyes.
"Princess Luna?" Dark asked.
"I'm sorry... I really can't say... It's better if I don't tell you at all." Luna said sadly.
Dark looked confused.
"Why won't she tell me..? Could it be that I remind her of herself? Her past? Do my eyes show the same sadness as her's? Or does it have to do something with Twilight and me?" Dark thought. Her face turned sad when Twilight passed her mind.
Her mind was so full of questions, yet she felt as though she knew the answers to them.
Dark forced herself to looked at the ground.
"Well... I should get going... It's been a long day... And a long night..." Dark said, and got up.
Before Dark could turn around, Luna looked at her.
She put a hoof on Dark's shoulder before she could go back inside.
"What is your answer?" Luna asked sadly.
Dark bit her lip, she couldn't look at Luna.
"I'm sorry, I would like to see if Twilight is okay before I become your student," Dark said seriously and sadly.
After she said that, she looked up at the night princess.
Luna nodded telling Dark that she understood.
She knew Dark wouldn't be able to focus with Twilight gone. Her sister is having the same problem. And Luna wishes herself that Twilight was back to.
Dark walked back inside Luna's bedroom.
She sat down and looked at Luna's door. Soon Dark turned her head just a bit to look at Luna.
"Please forgive me... I have too much on my mind." Dark said sadly and looked back at Luna's door.
Soon Dark's horn lit up and Dark teleported back to her castle.
Luna was surprised that Dark could teleport. That spell was for advanced unicorns. And she made it look so easy. Luna knew that Dark must have practiced that spell a few times to teleported that quickly. Luna smiled. She was glad that she picked the right one for her student.
"I was right... Her does have potential... But I can't have that student right now... We have to find Twilight." Luna said.
Just as Luna said that, there was a knock at the door.
"Coming!" Luna said, and walked to her door.
Once Luna was at her door, she opened it with her magic.
"Sister," Luna said surprisingly, as she saw her sister right in front of her.
"Hello, sister. May I come in?" Celestia asked quickly.
Luna smiled and nodded. She moved out of the way so her sister can come in.
"Is Dark here with you?" Celestia asked as she looked around.
"No, she just left..." Luna said.
Luna felt that there was something wrong with her sister.
"I need to talk to Dark. I have something imported to ask her." Celestia said seriously.
"Sister... What is the important question?" Luna asked.
"I need to ask her when was the last time she saw Twilight. I think I have a lead on who kidnapped Twilight." Celestia said.
"Who sister!?" Luna asked loudly.
"I don't want to say because I want to make sure," Celestia said.
Celestia decided to change the subject.
"Sister. Can you go into Dark's dream, and tell her that I want to meet her in the morning right away." Celestia asked.
Luna nodded saying she understood.
Celestia nodded back.
"Goodbye, sister." Celestia said and left Luna's room.
"What could be your fear..? Dark." Luna thought.
"Goodbye, sister. And hello Dark." Luna said, and took off her princess gear to go to bed.
Luna went to her bed. She was trying to find a good comfortable spot. Once she found that spot, she then closed her eyes.
In Dark's dream.
Luna looked around. She was in a right bottom corner of a large dark room.
When Luna looked around more, she realized that she wasn't in a normal dark room. She was in a throne room. The throne was black with a red pillow on it. The throne had a red carpet leading towards it, and two windows on the right and left. And some torches right next to the windows. Their two large doors right in front of the throne.
A throne can only mean she was in the castle. But she never saw another castle, other then the castle she lived in.
"Is this were Dark lives..?" Luna asked to herself.
Luna looked at one of the right windows, there were trees everywhere outside.
"Dose Dark live in the Everfree Forest? It would make sense... I know she doesn't live in Ponyville." Luna thought.
Suddenly the two large doors opened.
"Hello? Is anypony here?" Dark said as she looked around the throne room.
It was pretty dark and it hard to see.
But as Luna looked at Dark, she looked completely normal. Her normally blue eyes, and her normal black fur.
"What Is going on? Why is Dark dreaming about a castle that is empty?" Luna thought.
Dark suddenly looked surprised and afraid. She was looking at the detraction of the throne.
As soon as Luna saw Dark's face, she quickly turned her head to look where Dark was looking.
Twilight was sitting on a throne, and she was smiling. But not any happy smile, it looked like an evil smile.
"Twilight?!" Dark said surprisingly.
Twilight said nothing.
Suddenly Twilight eye's changed. They were completely red. The worst part is you couldn't even see the pupils and Twilight's body turned black and weird tentacles started coming out of Twilight's back. But the weirdest thing is that you could still see Twilight's cutie mark.
"Why..? What did I ever do to you..?
"I-I had to!" Dark screamed.
Twilight stopped smiling.
"That's just a excuse! You wanted a friend to feel your pain!
"Well... I feel it! And it hurts!
Twilight ran to Dark, and then Twilight hit Dark with one of her tentacle things that were on her back.
Dark flew to the left bottom of the throne room. They both looked in pain.
"I have to stop this!" Luna thought and started charging her horn with a powerful spell. And started flying upwards.
Twilight started walking closer to Dark. Twilight smiling evilly as she walked closer.
Dark tried to get up but she couldn't. So she tried changing into her queen form, but it failed.
"Why can't I change into my queen form!?" Dark thought.
Dark felt so weak.
Twilight stopped walking when she was right in front of Dark.
"Say goodbye... Friend.
"STOP RIGHT THERE MONSTER! " Luna shouted with her Canterlot voice.
Luna stopped charging her spell and hit at the Twilight monster in the air.
The Twilight monster screamed in pain, and soon it disappeared.
Twilight's scream echoed in Dark's ear. Dark would never forget that scream.
Luna flew down to Dark. Dark's eyes were filled with surprise to see the princess.
"Princess Luna..?" Dark asked.
Luna nodded.
Dark laid her down on the floor and closed her eyes.
Luna looked at Dark sadly.
Dark never wanted to open her eyes again. But she knew she would have to.
Once Dark opened her eyes again, she wasn't in her castle anymore.
Dark got up and looked around.
"Where are we?" Dark asked.
"This is the Celestial Plain. A place between dream and reality." Luna said as she looked at Dark.
Dark stopped looking around. And soon looked at Luna.
"So I was dreaming? None of that was real?" Dark asked.
Luna nodded, and Dark let out a sigh of a relief.
"It looks like Luna didn't figure out my secret.... Yet..." Dark thought.
"Now I'm glad I didn't change form." Dark thought.
But as Dark looked at Luna, Dark knew Luna was going to ask.
"Usually, I know what pony's are afraid of by watching them. But in your case... Your dream was the strangest. I have to ask this... But what was that all about?" Luna asked curiously.
"I can't let her know!" Dark thought.
"Wait! Hold that thought! There is something important I must tell you." Luna said.
"Huh?" Dark said. Surprised by the outburst.
"My sister wants to talk to you. She wants you to meet her once! Well... Once you wake up that is." Luna said.
Dark wanted to question Luna what it is about. But Dark decided to ask Celestia that question. So Dark just nodded.
"Now that's out of the way. I'll ask you again. What was that about?" Luna asked.
"Well... I often dream I'm in a castle... And I often wish I lived in a castle." Dark smiled and slightly blushed. She knew what she said was not true. But telling a princess that you want to live in a castle, is basically saying "I want to live in the Canterlot castle."
"I see..." Luna said with a serious face, and paused.
"You don't have to explain about the... "Monster Twilight." I can already tell what that means." Luna said.
Dark said nothing. She knew what Luna was going to say.
"You're afraid that Twilight's kidnapped was your fault," Luna said looking at Dark, with sad yet kind eyes.
Luna raised her hoof and touch Dark's shoulder.
"It's not your fault," Luna said with a kind tone.
Dark said nothing. She looked at the princess with understanding eyes.
She wanted to believe Luna, but Dark was the one who kidnapped Twilight. So there was no excuse.
Luna stopped touching Dark's shoulder and put her hoof on the ground again.
"Before you wake up.... I have one more question." Luna said as her face turned serious once again.
"Are you going to go to Canterlot?" Luna asked.
Dark nodded.
"I'm afraid I can't keep you here much longer.... Goodbye..." Luna said.
Everything was turning into darkness, soon Dark could barely see Princess Luna. But she saw a smile coming from her before Dark could not see her anymore.
End of Dark's Dream
Dark slowly opened her eyes. She was really tired, and it was all from that nightmare.
"So much for sleep..." Dark said, and got up from her bed.
Dark yawned. And looked at the time from her wall.
"8:00 AM... I have to see the sun princess before I do anything else." Dark thought and paused.
"Well... I have to get ready." Dark said and went to her bathroom.
As Dark got ready, she thought about that dream. She was glad that she didn't change into her bat form.
But she also wondered why she couldn't change into her bat form.
She also hoped that Luna didn't figure something out. Twilight needs to wake up first before the princess's find out her secret.
Princess Luna
After getting out of bed and getting ready for another day. Princess Luna wondered about Dark.
"That's just an excuse! You wanted a friend to feel your pain!" Luna thought about the words that the "Monster Twilight" said.
"Did Dark do something that made Twilight mad, and made Dark feel like it was her fault?" Luna thought.
"Perhaps I should talk to Dark and ask what that was about..." Luna thought.
"I should also ask where she lives..." Luna thought.
Dark
After leaving her room, and looked to see if Twilight was okay. Queen Dark was once again walking through her hallways.
"I have a bad feeling.... Maybe I'm just worried about Princess Luna finding out my secret." Dark thought.
Dark noticed two guards were in front of her. Their backs were facing her and they were walking and talking. The two guards also had bat wings but no horns. Dark decided to walk and listen.
"All we do is walk around all day, guarding the castle from any intruders. Eat lunch and make sure that everypony is doing okay." Said the guard on the left.
"It's better than hunting and guarding. Especially when you have to hunt in the snow. There is no prey ever in the winter!" Said the guard on the right.
"I still wonder why pony's picked that job. I know that somepony has to find food. But doing it almost every day... It has to be hard... But I heard that it's a lot of fun." The guard on the left said.
The right guard nodded saying he understood, and said nothing.
"I lost count of how many ponies do guard and hunt. I know a lot of my pony's asked if they can just hunt. But I always say that you should learn to guard before you hunt. I should call them hunters, but just call then guards, even though most of the time they actually hunt. But I'm glad they all do their duties." Dark thought.
"I should be proud of my maids too. They count the prey that the hunters got, I told them to have a good amount of prey so all of us can eat. And put them in blood packs." Dark thought and smiled.
"I wonder what's up with Queen Dark." Said the guard on the right.
Dark instantly went to attention mode when the guard said her name.
"What do you mean?" The guard on the left asked.
"You haven't heard the rumors? A lot of the guards say that Queen Dark is going to Ponyville.... A lot..." The guard on the right said.
"So....? Queen Dark announced that she was going to visit Ponyville a long time ago." The guard on the left said.
"They also say that she's gone for hours. Not one pony knows why. And a lot of guards think and say that it's all part of her plan." The guard on the right said.
"What do you believe?" The left guard asked.
"I think that if Queen Dark's plan works. A lot of our lives will change... And maybe will survive." The right guard said.
"I completely agree." The left guard said and nodded.
Dark smiled.
"Funny... There right. My life will change, and so will theirs. We will survive... And I'll get my revenge.." Dark thought and smiled.
After hearing the guards talk about different things, and Dark wondering how the two guards even got this information. She soon started realizing that she was thinking... A lot... She didn't realize she was exiting her own castle!
The two guards who were guarding the door bowed once they saw Dark.
Dark nodded once they were looking up at her. They got up and went back to their position.
Once Dark was a few hoofs prints away. She looked back to see her guards looking at her and smiling. Dark waved to them, and the two guards went back to their position again.
Dark immediately stopped walking once she realized she forgot to drink her blood pack.
"Darn! I forgot to drink a blood pack! Hmm.... Oh well..." Dark thought and shrugged.
Dark looked at the green forest and the grass touching her hoofs.
"It's getting warmer and warmer, spring is about to end." Dark thought and smiled.
Dark shook her head.
"Sorry forest. I have business to take care of... And perhaps trouble..." Dark thought and sighed.
Leaving with that last thought, Dark made sure the guards weren't looking and change into her other form and then teleported to the gates of Canterlot.
Canterlot
Once Dark was at Canterlot, she soon saw the two guards. The same ones when Princess Luna called Dark to Canterlot. No horns, no wings. But once they saw her, they had spears at her neck.
"Oh... It's only you..." The one on the right said.
They both put the spears down.
"We know that Princess Celestia wants you. So you don't have to say anything." The guard on the left said harshly.
"Don't do that again. We might slice your neck next time." The guard on the right said harshly.
"Oh come on.... This is only my third time here." Dark said jokingly.
The two guards gave Dark a glare and turned around.
"Open the gates!" The two guards shouted.
The gates slowly started opening.
"Do they not trust me that much...? Heh. If only, they knew... What you don't know, can't hurt you? Right..?" Dark smiled at the thought.
The two guards started walking to the castle. Staying on the same path as they did last time.
The two other guards standing at the wall gave Dark a glare. They didn't have wings or horns either. But they had their spears. Those dumb spears were laying against the wall.
Dark kept a straight face while looking at the guards at the wall.
Once there faces turned back normal, Dark looked to her left and right.
"Where are all the other guards? We were surrounded when Twilight and I came to Canterlot." Dark thought and decided not to think about it too much.
But once Dark looked up at the castle. Lots of guards were standing there looking down at Dark. Ready to attack if needed to.
"Really!? Why didn't Celestia tell them that I'm not the threat? Or... Has she found out already?" Dark felt sick to her stomach at that thought.
"No! I can't think like that! I'm sure Celestia couldn't have found out that quickly... Even if she is more than 1,000 years old." Dark thought and forced herself to pay attention.
The whole walk to Princess Celestia was exhausting to Dark. Many guards were there staring at her. Dark thought the two guards that were leading her were trying to do this on purpose. Trying to make Dark worry the whole way.
Dark was worried so much, that she thought if she made a wrong move, she would get stabbed or get her neck sliced off. So she paid attention, barely thinking of anything. She only told herself to get back at those two guards that were leading her.
"Wait here." The two guards said as they stopped at the same door that Dark met Princess Celestia last time.
Dark nodded saying she understood. And the two guards went in.
"I will get you someday. Both of you." Dark thought.
Even if Dark wanted to move, she couldn't. Two more guards were guarding the door. They were both unicorns and had their spears laying on the wall.
After a minute later, the doors opened.
"You can come in now." The right guard said.
Dark nodded and said nothing. She slowly walked inside. Before Dark looked at the throne. She looked at the two guards. They left the room quickly and closed the huge door.
"Welcome, Dark. It is good to see you." A voice said.
Dark looked at the throne.
Princess Celestia was sitting on her throne, and Princess Luna was right next to her. And there were no guards next to them.
"Huh? Princess Luna?" Dark said surprisingly.
"Why is Princess Luna here?" Dark thought.
"My sister has told me about the nightmare you had," Celestia said seriously.
Dark's stomach sank once she heard that.
"Ughhhh..... Right to the point I see." Dark thought.
Dark faked smiled at the two Princesses.
"Please, come here Dark," Celestia said seriously.
Dark stopped fake smiling and quickly walked to the throne.
Dark kept walking until she was right in front of the two princesses.
Dark bowed.
"There is no need to bow, Dark. I would like you to treat us like you did with Twilight." Celestia said.
Dark looked at Luna.
Luna smiled and nodded.
Dark looked back at Celestia.
"You said there is something you wanted to talk about with me?" Dark said nervously.
"Ah. Yes.. I did. But I want you to understand something first." Celestia said and smiled.
Dark said nothing and prepared for the worst.
"It's not your fault that Twilight was kidnapped." Celestia said kindly and looked at Dark with gentle eyes.
"Huh?" Dark said.
"It's my fault. She is my student and my friend." Celestia said and looked down.
"Sister..." Luna said and put a hoof on Celestia's shoulder.
Dark's face turned sad but also serious.
"Why.....? Why do I feel bad...?" Dark thought. Questioning herself.
"I... I'll say it, but I won't like it." Dark thought.
"It's none of our fault's!" Dark shouted.
Both Celestia and Luna looked up at Dark with surprised eyes.
"The past is the past! Twilight wouldn't want us to sob over her! She wants us to find her! Like the true friends we are! She would do the same if we were kidnapped! We shouldn't worry about the past. We can't change it! So, why to worry about the things we could have done. When we could worry about the things we do today!" Dark shouted.
Princess Luna and Celestia looked at each other. And then looked back at Dark with proud, yet happy expressions.
"I know I'm going to regret saying that, but for some reason I feel a lot better. And I think the princesses will trust me more." Dark thought and smiled.
Celestia smiled.
"Perhaps you already know the true meaning of friendship," Luna said and smiled.
"Now...." Celestia paused, as she turned her face back to serious.
"Can you tell me what you did after you said goodbye to Twilight.... And where you were when you said goodbye?" Celestia asked.
Dark didn't want the Princess to wait for an answer.
"I was at Twilight's castle when I said goodbye. After that... I walked to the Everfree Forest. That's where my home is." Dark said.
"Did you see anything suspicious when you left Twilight?" Celestia asked.
Dark smiled.
"Good.... She believes me. Then I will be good for the rest of the questions." Dark thought.
"No, not at all... Wait... Maybe... Somepony else saw Twilight once I left." Dark said, lying through her fangs.
Celestia nodded.
"That is what I think too. That is all the questions I have left." Celestia said.
Dark became confused.
"That's it? I thought she would ask a lot more questions... Huh... Well... As long as she is not suspicious of me." Dark thought.
Luna walked over to Dark.
"I would like you to stay over at Ponyville for today. It may keep your mind off of Twilight." Luna said.
"Right sister?" Luna said as she turned her head to her sister.
Celestia nodded.
"I believe that I have time to visit Ponyville," Celestia said.
"Huh?!" Dark said.
Luna looked back at Dark.
"I and my sister had a talk about you... We would like to know you more. You have a spark that I and my sister are interested in. We decided we would go to Ponyville with you and have fun. We had a hard time delaying the plans before. But we made it, and we have time to have fun." Luna said.
"HUH?!" Dark said.
"I-I don't understand! Aren't your duties more important?" Dark asked.
Celestia shook her head.
"That is true... But my sister had told me this morning that you teleported out of her room without any problems. As you know, that spell is for advanced unicorns... There are also a few more reasons of why I'm interested in you. But that one is the most interesting. " Celestia said.
Luna looked at her sister understanding that it was her time to talk.
"I also have my reasons of why I'm interested in you. But the one that surprised me the most is that you are never nervous around me or my sister." Luna said.
Dark nodded.
"I have a feeling there not telling me something. Why? And what?" Dark thought.
Luna turned her head back to her sister.
"Shall we get going sister?" Luna said.
Celestia nodded and said, "I will teleport us to Ponyville."
Celestia got up from her throne and walked to her sister and Dark.
Dark and Luna smiled at Celestia.
Celestia smiled, knowing that they were both ready to go to Ponyville.
Celestia's horn lit up and the three teleported away.
Ponyville
Dark opened her eyes. Ponyville was right in front of her. They were at the same bridge when Dark watched the sunset with Twilight.
Dark looked at the two princesses.
"What should we do first sister?" Luna asked and turned her head to her sister.
Celestia said nothing and looked at Dark. Giving Dark a certain look, telling her that it's her decision.
"How about we go to Sugercude Conner?" Dark asked.
Luna and Celestia nodded agreeing that it's a good idea.
Soon Dark, Celestia, and Luna were walking to Sugercube Conner. Princess Celestia and Luna stayed behind Dark. Many ponies stared at the three of them. And also trying to avoid them.
"Okay.... I was nervous when I first met them. And I get that they're the rulers of Equestria, but they won't hurt you." Dark thought.
There were also some guards walking and guarding around Ponyville. Once they saw the princesses they stood up straight or kept walking. They looked like they were doing their job the whole time. Even though Dark thought they weren't. The more guards Dark saw, the more she wanted to hit them in the face.
"Sheesh... Can't any guard stop looking dumb or serious." Dark thought, as she stopped looking at a unicorn guard to her right.
"Wait..... My guards are the same... I don't know if I should be laughing or disappointed." Dark thought. She wanted to give herself a face hoof. But smiled at that thought.
Once she turned her head to where she was walking. She saw Sugercube Conner.
"I see it! And finally!" Dark thought while she was still walking.
"I'm surprised I knew where I was going. Hehehe. I guess I have a good memory." Dark thought and smiled.
Dark stopped walking once she was a few hoof lengths away from Sugercube Conner.
Suddenly a pink hoof slowly opened the door.
"Must be Pinkie Pie." Dark thought.
But instead of Pinkie Pie... Something else walked out Sugercube Conner.
"Huh? What's that?" Dark thought.
"Whatever it is... It's pink and fluffy. Definitely not a pony." Dark thought.
The pink fluff quickly walked over to Dark.
It moved it's face right in front of Dark's face.
It stuck it's tough out and quickly ran away.
"Okay.... That was weird..." Dark thought and turned her head around to see if the princesses saw all that.
They both gave a face that Dark couldn't understand.
"It seems I won't be able to ask what was that... I guess some things are better left unknown." Dark thought and turned her attention back to Sugercube Conner.
As the two princesses and a queen walked into Sugercube Conner they saw the pink party pony at the desk.
"Welcome to Suger--- Gaahhhhhh" Pinkie Pie gasped as she saw the two princesses walk in.
"Hello, Pinkie. Good to see you." Dark said quickly and calmly.
Pinkie said nothing, her mouth still open, and a face full of shock.
"May we sit down?" Dark said calmly.
"Yes! Sit right there! I'll be back!" Pinkie Pie said quickly. She pointed her hoof to a small table on the right and quickly ran upstairs.
Dark, Luna and Celestia looked at each other. Then they sat down at the small table just for three of them. Luna sat on the left and Celestia sat on the right. And Dark sat in the middle facing to the counter.
"Dose everypony act nervous when they see you?" Dark asked the two princesses.
"Yes," Celestia said.
"It's true that pony's are often afraid of us. I and my sister know that. We see it every day." Luna said.
Dark nodded and decided to change the subject.
"What are you going to get?" Dark asked.
"A cup of tea will be nice," Celestia said.
"I'm going to pass on the food," Luna said.
"I'm also going to pass," Dark said quickly, agreeing with Luna.
"Then why did you want to come here if you're not going to eat anything?" Luna asked.
Dark was about to say why. But she was interrupted by three pony's rushing down the stairs.
Pinkie Pie and a yellow and blue pony ran over to the table.
"Welcome to Sugercube Conner! How may I help you!?" Pinkie said loudly.
"Pinkie Pie! Calm down!" Dark shouted.
Everypony looked at Dark.
"Thank you... I think an introduction is in order... Pinkie. Who are these two ponies?" Dark said slowly and calmly. Then looked at the two.
"Sorry about Pinkie... My name is Mrs. Cakes." She said.
"And My name is Mr. Cakes," He said.
"My name is Q- I mean Dark. Nice to meet you both." Dark said calmly, trying to cover up what she almost said.
Mr and Mrs. Cakes gave a confused look but decided not to ask what that was about. The Princesses thought the same.
Dark looked at Pinkie Pie quickly. Telling her she can ask now.
"Welcome to Sugercube Conner! How may I help you?" Pinkie said excitedly.
"That was close! I almost blew my cover away. Just saying, Queen, is enough to give anypony suspicions." Dark thought.
Dark looked at Celestia and nodded, telling her she can go first.
Celestia understood the message and looked at Pinkie Pie.
"A cup of tea, please," Celestia said.
"Okay! Next." Pinkie Pie said and looked at Luna.
"I would like nothing," Luna said.
Pinkie Pie nodded and looked at Dark.
"I would like a cupcake that has red frosting and a black bottom," Dark said.
"Okey dokey lokay!" Pinkie said and hopped to the kitchen.
Mrs. Cakes walked closer to Princesses Celestia.
"Excuse me, Princess Celestia. If I can ask, why are you here?" Mrs. Cakes asked.
"We wanted to show Dark around Ponyville. She's new here." Celestia said.
Mrs. Cakes smiled and nodded. Then she looked at Dark.
Dark smiled at her.
A few minutes later...
"Come again!" Mr. and Mrs. Cakes said as she waved her hoof.
"Goodbye!" Pinkie Pie said, as waved her hoof really fast.
As the three walked away from Sugercube Conner, Dark used her magic to carry a bag.
Inside the bag was the cupcake Dark ordered.
"You really didn't have to pay Princess Celestia." Dark said and looked at Celestia.
"Isn't that what friends are for?" Celestia said and smiled at Dark.
Dark quickly looked away, blushing.
"She's too kind.... And why the hay am I blushing?" Dark thought, and quickly tried to stop blushing.
"Grrrr..... I can't let her get to me..." Dark thought.
"Where should we go next? " Luna said, and looked at Dark. While she was still walking.
Celestia kept walking and just looked at Dark.
"Wait! Before I say my answer... Let me teleport my cupcake to my room. I don't want to carry it all day. " Dark said and starting to do just that.
It took Dark a minute to do it. But once she finally did it. It was gone in a flash.
"Can we go back to the park and talk?" Dark asked.
The Princesses stopped walking and looked at Dark.
"Can we also not walk there? My hoofs are really tried... I think we should teleport right on the bridge just like we did last time. " Dark said quickly.
Celestia smiled and understood. She looked at her sister, and then back at Dark.
"Also... One more thing... I can't think of any other place we could go too. So why not do something that we all can enjoy." Dark said.
Celestia smiled and used her magic to teleport to the park.
At the Park...
After the three got there, they decided to sit in the shade. Luckily for them, a tree was right next to them. Once the three sat down they wanted to talk about many things.
"Are you glad that it's becoming summer, Dark?" Luna asked.
"Yes and no. I'm glad that I'll be able to walk on the ground without falling... And many other things. But winter is so beautiful... I love to look out my window and watch as the snow falls." Dark said and smiled.
"I agree," Luna said and smiled.
"Dark.... What do you like to do in your free time?" Celestia asked quickly.
Dark had to think for a moment.
"Um...Well... I often write about my life when I get the chance... Other then that.... I just eat, sleep and try to make new friends..." Dark said and paused.
"Not anymore, though. I get to meet the Princesses of Equestria. And go to Ponyville... And get friends like Twilight... And also many other things..." Dark said.
Celestia smiled.
"So... Have we made your life better?" Celestia asked while still smiling.
Dark looked away from Celestia.
"I don't like that look.... What is she planning? And is she going to get anything from it?" Dark thought.
Dark looked back at Celestia, who was still smiling.
"Oh! Uh. Sorry about that Princess... I zoned out there for a moment... Um... What did you ask again?" Dark asked.
Celestia stopped smiling, and her face turned cold.
"I asked if we made your life better," Celestia said.
"Oh! Right! Heheheheh... Yes... You did make my life better..." Dark said. fake smiling.
"That was really painful to say..... What I said was completely not true... It's the COMPLETE opposite actually!" Dark thought. Making herself angry.
"Are you alright Dark?" Luna asked.
"YES! I'm quite a fine princess! I was just thinking! Yeah! Thinking!" Dark shouted and fake smiled.
Both the princesses gave a confused look but decided not to question it.
Dark sighed.
"Forgive me for acting so strange... Lots of things are happening in my life now." Dark said.
"It is alright. Every pony is worried about Twilight." Luna said and smiled at Dark.
Dark smiled back.
"Thank you."
After awkward moments of silence, Dark knew that she needed to talk.
"So... What should we do now?" Dark asked, and looked at the two princesses.
"Why not walk around Ponyville some more? I'm sure something else interesting will show." Luna said.
"Sure.... But if we don't find anything... I'm going to go home." Dark said.
"Okay..." Luna said.
Dark got up and waited for the two princesses.
Both of them got up and walked closer to Dark. Once they were right beside Dark they waited for her to move. Dark looked at Luna and then Celestia. Luna was on the left and Celestia was on the right.
"Okay. Let's go." Dark said.
When they started walking, none of them said anything to each other. Just walked in place the whole way. Dark wonder why the Princesses weren't saying anything. But then she wonders why she hasn't been talking either.
They kept walking until they were right in front of town hall, Celestia stopped both of them. There were two Pegasus, and their fur color was white. Just like all the other ones Dark has seen. They were guarding the town hall.
"Excuse me... Please wait here." Celestia said.
Dark and Luna stopped and watched as Celestia walked to the two guards.
Dark turned to her to the left to look at Luna.
"What do you think she is doing?" Dark asked Luna.
"I do not know," Luna said.
Dark looked back at Celestia and the two guards.
Once Celestia was right in front of the guards, she started whispering to them.
"Why is she whispering to them?" Dark thought.
Dark looked at Luna. She had the same expression as Dark. The expression that says "What's going on?"
Celestia turned around and looked at Dark with serious eyes.
Dark started to worry, once she saw those eyes.
"This can't be good... Can it?" Dark thought.
Celestia started walking closer to Dark. One guard was on the left of Celestia, and one was on the right. They both had serious eyes too.
Celestia and the guards stopped walking, once they were in front of Dark and Luna.
"I'm sorry Dark. But I'm afraid you're going to have to come with me." Celestia said in her Princess tone.
"What? Why?" Dark said quickly.
"I'm placing you under arrest for the kidnapping of Princess Twilight Sparkle. " Celestia said in her Princess tone.
"Sister!" Luna shouted.
Celestia looked at her sister with the same serious eyes. Then turned her head back to Dark.
Dark bit her lip. She knew she had to defend herself. Even though Celestia was right.
"You have no proof that I kidnapped Twilight!" Dark shouted.
"I do. You came right before Princess Twilight was kidnapped. I noticed that there was a book on the floor. Spike told me that book was there when Princess Twilight went missing. Spike also told me Princess Twilight was reading that book before she went missing. Even if you didn't kidnap Princess Twilight, I'm still placing you under arrest. You are the only pony I suspect, and could do it." Celestia said in her princess tone.
Dark glared at Celestia.
"Sister! Please! I'm sure somepony else did it!" Luna shouted.
Celestia ignored her sister and continued.
Celestia looked at her two guards, and then she gave them a glare.
The guards started walking closer to Dark.
"Goodbye... Friend ." Dark said to Celestia.
Dark turned around and started running from the guards. Soon the guards caught on and started running after Dark.
"You'll pay Celestia. You'll pay." Dark thought.
"Stop!" One of the guards shouted.
Dark started running faster. She knew that she needed to run faster, and she was almost out of Ponyville. She dodged many other ponies's. She even saw her other five friends.
Too bad she saw her five friends only for a few seconds. But Dark knew they all were wondering why she was begin chased by Celestia's guards. But Dark couldn't stop to say hi. She knew if she didn't stop running. She would get caught.
"You won't catch me! I'm too fast!" Dark shouted at the guards, as she was just getting out of Ponyville.
Once she was out of Ponyville. She looked at her and saw many guards chasing after her. Unicorns, Pegasuses, and earth pony's. She didn't know how many, but she knew that was a lot of them. She turned her head around again, and Dark realized she was almost at the bridge.
"Almost there... Just cross the bridge, and I'll be in the Everfree Forest." Dark thought.
Once Dark crossed the bridge she was greeted with Everfree Forest on her right.
"Annnnnnddddd..... Now!" Dark thought. And quickly turned to the right, entering the Everfree Forest.
"No!" A guard shouted.
Dark didn't stop running. She went deep into the Everfree Forest.
A few minutes later...
Dark stopped once she knew she was safe.
"I could have teleported, but I was so angry at Celestia that I couldn't focus!" Dark thought.
"Grrrr! Why!? Why did SHE have to make my life so difficult!" Dark shouted and looked up to the sky.
"The next minute we were friends! Then the next minute I'm being arrest by her!" Dark thought.
"UGHHHHHHH!!!!" Dark screamed and stomped her two front hoofs on the ground.
She stopped looking up and forced herself to calm down. Dark closed her eyes and started thinking.
"Okay... Calm down.... I have to get to my castle and plan..." Dark thought.
Dark didn't open her eyes. She started getting ready to teleport.
Dark knew she was tried. It took longer to teleport then it usually did.
Dark teleported to her castle.
Dark's Castle
Dark slowly opened her eyes. She thought she was in her room. But she wasn't, she was outside her castle. And she saw two of guards in the distance. They both were gray and had bat wings just like all the other guards. They didn't noticed her because they were looking at each other and talking.
"I'm pretty far away from my castle." Dark thought.
"I must be really tired... My magic seems to not be as strong as it usually is." Dark thought.
Dark started walking closer to the two guards. Barely making any sound. The only sound was the grass moving when Dark put her hoof on the ground. Dark stopped moving when she was a few hoof links away.
"Do you know h-"
"Excuse me. But I noticed that the both of you are not doing your job." Dark said, interrupting the guard on the right.
The two guards turned their head and looked at Dark with mean glares. But those glares disappeared once they realized that it was their queen.
"Queen Dark! I'm sorry! I thought you were somepony else." The guard on the right said.
"Did you hear me at all, when I walking?" Dark asked.
Both of the guards bit their lip.
"Well?" Dark said, waiting for an answer.
"Um..... No, Queen Dark... We didn't. We were too busy with our conversation." The guard on the left said.
Dark glared at the two guards.
"I will give you two options. One... You can tell me what you were talking about! That was so important! That you can't even do your own duties!" Dark said in a queen voice.
"Or two! You can escort me to my room! And you will stay there!" Dark said in her queen tone and continued.
"That way!. I'll be able to hear every word you say to each other if you start talking with each other." Dark said in her queen tone.
Dark waited for an answer. The guards were both nervous.
"Well?! Don't keep your queen waiting! That is rude you know!" Dark said in her queen voice.
"Nu-Number two." The guard on the right said nervously.
"Do you agree?" Dark said quickly and looked at the guard on the left.
The left guard nodded his head.
"Good!" Dark said in her queen voice and then she continued.
"I want you... I..." Dark said, and started feeling sick.
"Queen Dark? Are you okay?" The guard on the left said.
"I'm fine.... Just-" Dark said and collapsed on the ground.
"Queen Dark! Queen-"
That was the last words she heard before fading into darkness .
Dark slowly opened her eyes.
"Ughhhh... Did I sleep on a rock or what?" Dark said.
Dark slowly got up and looked around.
"Huh? Where am I?" Dark said.
Everything around Dark was pitch black. Nothing was around her and she was alone.
"Either I'm dreaming... Or I was swallowed by a black hole. I hope it's the first one." Dark said.
Dark tried to remember what happened.
"Let's see...... I walked up to my guards. Blah, blah, blah. Felt sick all of sudden, and woke up here.... Yup... That about sums it." Dark said.
"Now what?" She asked herself.
"D...A...R...K." A voice said.
Dark jumped once she heard her name.
"I... Need... You..." The voice said.
Dark realized that voice was Twilight's voice.
"Of course, Twilight had to be calling me from the darkness...." Dark thought sarcastically.
Suddenly a bright light appeared in front of Dark. The light was shaped like a door.
Dark closed her eyes from the bright light, and then raised her hoof in front of her eyes.
"Go... Towards... The... Light..." The Twilight voice said.
"Says the Twilight that properly isn't real. Okay! Sure! I can trust you! Cause that's what most ponies would do when there surrounded by darkness and hear a voice. Yup, that's what they would do!" Dark thought sarcastically and ran towards the light.
"Thank you." The Twilight voice said before Dark went into the light.
In Dark's castle....
"Queen..!"
Dark slowly opened her eyes.
"Queen Dark!"
"Huhhhh?" Dark said.
"Guys! Queen Dark is waking up!" The voice said.
Once Dark was fully awake she saw her maid right in front of her face. Her favorite one. The maid backed away once she knew her queen was getting up.
Dark stood up and looked around. Many of her guards were around her, and Dark realized she was standing on a blanket.
"Where am I?" Dark asked.
"You're in the castle. Well... The front doors of the castle." The maid said, correcting herself.
Dark looked to her left and saw the big doors. She turned back to her favorite maid again and asked another question.
"What happened?" Dark asked.
"Two guards carried you in here. And luckily I was just by the entrance. I told the two to put you down here and get a blanket and an animal blood pack. Once they got back, many guards started to surround you. I grabbed the blanket and spread it out, and the two guards lifted you up and put you on the blanket. I opened the blood pack and forced you to drink it." The maid said happily.
"I see... Thank you. You may take the rest of the day off." Dark said and smiled.
The maid smiled and bowed. She turned around and walked away.
"Now! I would like to see the two guards who carried me in here." Dark said in her queen voice.
Dark looked around. All her guards surrounded her. She soon heard hoof steps behind her. Dark turned around and saw the two.
The two guards had their serious faces on, but Dark knew they were nervous.
"Thank you... Normally I would still let you have your punishment. But I'm sure you two had a rough day. You two are also off for the rest of the day." Dark said in her queen voice.
The two guards smiled and bowed. They walked past Dark and went to the same direction that the maid did.
"Everypony back to their duties! Do not worry about me! I'm fine now!" Dark shouted.
Once they heard their queen orders, everypony started to spread out. Just as they did that, somepony shouted Dark's name.
"Queen Dark!" A voice shouted.
Dark turned her head around to see where the voice was coming from. It was one of her guards, but when Dark looked closer. She saw a scar on the guard's face. It was Chris.
"What's wrong Chris?" Dark asked.
Chris didn't say anything until he was fright in front of Dark.
"We have an intruder! She requested to see you!" Chris shouted.
"Calm down Chris. Who is she?" Dark asked.
"S-she claim's to be Princess Twilight Sparkle," Chris said.
"WHAT?!?" Dark shouted.
"B-but Queen Dark! She looks nothing like Princess Twilight! S-she looks more like you...." Chris said.
"What do you mean more like me?!" Dark asked.
"She has the same red eyes as you! A-and a lot of other things!" Chris said.
"What!? How is that possible?! It hasn't been a week yet! Or has it..?" Dark thought.
"Chris... Is it night time?" Dark asked.
"Yes, Queen Dark. The moon appeared like an hour ago... Why do you ask?" Chris asked.
"How is that possible?" Dark thought.
"Take me to her..... Now." Dark said harshly.
"Yes. My Queen." Chris said, then turned around and started walking.
Dark looked and followed Chris, and started thinking.
"Twilight might not recognize me. I could keep my identity a secret... But I would have to tell her later.... No! I should worry about her freaking out about her changes. I just have to get her into my room. And I can explain almost everything in a calm manner. Don't think it will go that way... But I have to try!"
"Where is she....? Chris?" Dark suddenly asked.
"Me and two other guards caught her coming out of your room. We raised our spears at her neck. That's when I noticed that she has the same red eyes as you. I shouted at her to tell her name. We gave her a chance to speak. And that's when she told us that she was Princess Twilight. I was surprised at first, but then told the two guards to guard her until I brought you." Chris said.
"I see.... Thank you for telling me." Dark said.
"It's an honor, Queen Dark," Chris said.
"Thank you, Chris," Dark said and smiled.
Twilight.... How do I say this?
"Twilight... How am I going to say this to you?" Dark thought.
Chris suddenly stopped at a corner and so did Dark.
"Queen Dark.... She is just around this corner here." Chris said calmly.
"Thank you, Chris. I'm going to ask you to guard me with the best of your ability. Just in case, she tries something." Dark said.
Chris turns around and bows.
"I understand Queen Dark. I will protect you." Chris said.
Dark smiled.
"Chris, please get behind me, I will do the talking," Dark said, and stopped smiling.
Chris got up and nodded.
Dark walked past Chris with a serious face. Once she walked past the corner, she saw Twilight and the two guards that Chris was talking about. The two guards were holding their spears tightly. Dark noticed that they were having an argument. She decided to walk closer to them, and Chris followed.
"I'm Princess Twilight! I just look a bit different! That's all!" Twilight shouted.
"We can't let you go. You have to talk with the Queen. She's our ruler. She will decide if you can go or not!" The right guard shouted.
"Yea!" The left guard said.
"They are right... Twilight." Dark said in her queen voice.
All three of them looked at Dark. And then the two guards bowed once they realized it was their queen.
"Who are you?" Twilight said.
"I am the queen of this place. Tell me.... Do you know what happened to you?" Dark said in her queen voice.
At that moment, Dark looked a bit closer at Twilight. Her hair was a mess but it still had the same color, and Dark could tell that Twilight was more worried than angry. Her old wings were changed into bat wings. And Dark could see a few her fangs. But what Dark liked the best is Twilight's eyes. Her normal purple eyes were replaced with the same blood red eyes that Dark has. To Dark, this is like looking at a mirror, but better.
"No.... What am I?" Twilight asked.
Dark smiled at Twilight.
"I will explain everything... Please go into my room here." Dark said, and turned to the left, and pointed her hoof at the door.
Once she explained that Dark started to walk to her room.
"And what if I don't want to?" Twilight asked.
Dark stopped walking and quickly turned her head around. She gave Twilight a glare. The two guards instantly put their spears up to Twilight's neck. Chris didn't. Dark looked at Chris for a few seconds and realized that he wasn't caring his spear.
Dark turned her head back to Twilight and waited for a response.
"Okay! I see your point! literary!" Twilight said.
Dark said nothing and the two guards put their spears down.
"All three of you, guard this door," Dark said in her queen voice.
Dark waited for Twilight to react. Twilight stood there confused for a few seconds, but then Twilight realized that she needed to go in that room first. and so she did. Twilight walked slowly to the door and opened it with her magic. Once Twilight was inside, Dark looked back at her guards, and then turned around.
Dark walked into her room and then closed the door.
In Dark's room...
Once Dark walked in she realized that Twilight was standing on that blanket. Twilight looked impatient now and looked like she was going to blow in any minute.
"What have you done to me?!" Twilight shouted impatiently.
"Calm down Twilight... Can you in least let me talk?" Dark said calmly.
"Well duh! Of course! Cause I can be nice and calm! When somepony kidnapped me! Yes!" Twilight said crazily.
"Do you know who I am... Twilight?" Dark asked quickly.
Twilight paused for a second before she opened her mouth.
"Wait... Before I answer that... You believe I'm Twilight?" Twilight asked.
"Well, of course. Because I'm the one who kidnapped you." Dark said and smiled.
Twilight gave an expression that Dark couldn't read.
"Good to know...." Twilight said with a stupid expression.
Dark started to smile but soon started to laugh.
"Hahaha!... I thought your mouth would go wide open, or you would scream! Hahahaha!" Dark said and started laughing a lot.
Twilight said nothing.
"Are you kidding me?! This is who I have to deal with?!" Twilight thought.
Dark realized that Twilight was not going to answer so she forced herself to calm down.
"Now... Will you answer my question?" Dark asked.
"You're the ruler of theses pony's." Twilight said quickly.
"That was a quick answer." Dark thought
"I mean my name," Dark said.
"No clue," Twilight said quickly.
"Really...? Nothing at all? Does my voice sounds familiar at all?" Dark asked.
"Nope," Twilight said.
"Is that brain working in their at all...? Isn't it obvious?" Dark thought. She gave Twilight a "really?" expression.
"What?" Twilight asked.
Dark sighed.
"Okay... What do you want to know first? What did you turn into? Who I am? Or what you are doing here?" Dark asked.
"What I turned into," Twilight said.
"Of course you would pick that question first." Dark thought.
"There's no other way to explain it... You're a vampony Twilight." Dark said.
"Hahahhahahahahah!" Twilight laughed.
"What's so funny?" Dark asked, taking offense.
"Ha! You almost got me there! Vampony's don't exist." Twilight said.
"Are you kidding me? Twilight! Just look at yourself!" Dark thought. Giving Twilight that "really?" expression again.
Once Twilight calmed down, she realized that Dark was making that same expression.
"You're not joking..... Are you?" Twilight asked slowly.
"Nope," Dark said. Still having that expression.
"But! But! That's impossible! They can't exist!" Twilight shouted.
"Twilight! Look at yourself! Do you really think I'm joking?" Dark shouted quickly.
"Yes. Vampony's can't exist. They can't even be in the sunlight!" Twilight said.
"Are you serious? It's as if Twilight's asking me to bite her just to prove it to her." Dark thought.
"One. You have been reading to many books. Vampony's can go out in the sunlight. Two. Go look yourself in the mirror. You will see that I'm not joking." Dark said.
"Follow me," Dark said, not wanting Twilight to response.
Twilight followed Dark into the bathroom. Once they were in the bathroom, Dark moved out of the way so Twilight could look at herself. She jumped a bit once she saw herself. Her messy hair and her red eyes.
"If you still don't believe me, check if your heart is beating," Dark said calmly.
Twilight looked down and raised her right hoof. Her hoof touched her chest. Twilight's hoof was there for a moment before she put it back down.
Twilight closed her eyes.
"Twilight... You died." Dark said.
Twilight opened her eyes and looked at Dark without moving her head. Her red eyes were full of sadness.
Then Twilight closed her eyes again, and a tear suddenly ran down her cheek.
In the Caterlot Castle...
"Sister! You can't be serious!" Luna shouted.
"I am, Luna. Dark could be the only one who has done it. If she was truly innocent she wouldn't have run away from me and my guards. There is no true evidence that there was a kidnapping. But Twilight is missing. And we don't know really who Dark is. We know that Dark lives in the Everfree Forest. But how far does she live within the Everfree Forest? And there could be other pony's involved. She could have easily walked in Twilight's castle without any suspicion. Twilight trusted her. Once we find Twilight. I'm sure she will tell us everything. And if Dark kidnapped her." Celestia said harshly.
"I still don't believe it, sister! Dark said she wanted to learn the true meaning of friendship!" Luna said.
"That may have been an act to fool us and Twilight. And if it was, it definitely worked. I trusted her too, Luna. But you must understand that everything doesn't always go the way you wanted to." Celestia said.
"I know that sister! I may have been on my moon for 1,000 years, but that doesn't mean I didn't learn anything while I was up there." Luna said.
"Luna.... Why do you still believe that Dark is innocent?" Celestia asked.
"Because I know... I have no other way to describe it." Luna said.
Celestia gave Luna a curious look.
"Sister.... Before I go, did you just spend the day with Dark to see how she was?" Luna asked.
"Yes. In the beginning, I trusted her. But once Twilight was missing, I had my suspicions. I thought about any other pony how could have done it. But I couldn't think of any other pony then Dark. If I knew more about her Luna. I wouldn't have made her suspicious. Now that she is missing too. I can only conclude that Dark has kidnapped Twilight and is going to do something to her." Celestia said.
"If she really did kidnapped Twilight... Why did she?" Luna asked.
"I have no clue Luna. If I knew... I would have said sorry a long time ago." Celestia said.
Luna said nothing and got up.
Luna exited Celestia's room and started walking to her room.
"Once I laid eyes on her. I knew Dark was different. I just have this feeling about Dark that I can't get rid of no matter what I do. But my sister is right. I can't really think of any other pony who would, and could kidnap Twilight. But I don't want to believe it. If Dark really did kidnapped Twilight. I must know why. This could be just a big misunderstanding. Or worse. I want to find Dark and Twilight as soon as possible. Dark could end up a fate worse than death. If I do find them before my sister, I want to reason with Dark." Luna thought.
Dark
Dark stood there. Surprised by Twilight's words.... But she quickly shook her head.
"Twilight.... I hate to say this..." Dark said.
This time, Twilight turned her head to look at Dark.
"You can't go back. There is no cure... So you don't even have to ask." Dark said sadly.
Twilight turned her head back to the mirror.
"Twilight... Don't you see? This isn't a curse... It's a gift!" Dark said and continued.
"Twilight... You're immortal now. You can live as long as Celestia! And you have powers now!" Dark said, trying to cheer Twilight up.
Twilight didn't move her head. But she looked at Dark
"Who are you!? And why did you do this to me!?" Twilight shouted. And turned her head once she said that.
"Twilight.... I can't tell you why... But I can tell you who I am." Dark said.
"And why can't you?!" Twilight shouted.
Dark said nothing. And then Twilight sighed, once she knew that Dark wasn't going say that either.
"Fine then... Who are you?" Twilight said and gave Dark a glare.
"Twilight.... It's me.... Dark." She said.
Twilight's eyes widened in surprised.
"Dark....?" Twilight said in surprise.
"The one and only." Dark said and chuckled a bit.
"I knew you couldn't be trusted!" Twilight shouted.
"Huh?" Dark asked.
"Oh! Uh! Nothing!" Twilight said.
Dark glared at Twilight.
"Anyways..... Twilight I will explain why I this to you... If you do one thing." Dark said.
"What is this thing I have to do?" Twilight asked.
"You must learn the ways of the vampony!" Dark said.
Twilight said nothing and glared at Dark.
"You just have to learn the rules and many other things. Do you get it?" Dark asked.
"Yes. I get it." Twilight said quickly.
"Good. Twilight.... Your just going to have to trust me. If you don't..... A fate worse than death will be waiting for you." Dark said.
Twilight nodded quickly.
"One more thing.... No other vampony doesn't know the rules by heart like I do." Dark said and used her queen glare.
"I have lived more than 500 years... Twilight.... Do not underestimate me. I have seen death and pain like no other pony." Dark said with her queen glare and continued.
"Even if you do escape... Where will you go? There is no way Celestia, Luna and your friends would accept you like this. They would think you're a monster . Either they would lock you up or kill you. Vampony's have the power to kill 100 ponies in one night. And the pony who knows that power the most is... Celestia...." Dark said while still glaring.
"After all.... She.... She." Dark said and stopped.
Dark shook her head.
"I'm sorry... I took this conversation too far. Let's get out of my bathroom. We will continue to talk there." Dark said and started walking out of the bathroom.
Twilight said nothing and walked out of the bathroom with a confused face.
Dark walked to the blanket and sat down on the right side of it. And Twilight sat down on the left.
"Let's go over the ability's you have. You now have night vision, super speed, and can change your form to look like a normal pony. And your magic might be a bit stronger. I will help you master those ability's once you understand every good and bad things of a vampony." Dark said.
"Okay.... What is the weakness of a vampony?" Twilight asked.
"If you don't drink blood daily. And you have been working hard. You will most likely faint at the end of the day. I learn that the hard way. The longest time I had without drinking blood was a week. That is because we ran out of blood, our hunter's couldn't find any animals to kill."
"Wait... I thought vampony's only drink pony's blood?" Twilight said.
"Again... You have been reading to many books. How do you think we lived so long without begin noticed?" Dark asked.
"Okay... I see your point. I noticed that you and I have red eyes. But your guards have yellow eyes. Why?" Twilight asked.
Dark smiled.
"I'm surprised you noticed that.... Well... As you know I'm the queen of the vampony's. I'm sure you realized that I'm the most powerful and I've lived the longest. Before before I go on.... A pure blood is vampony who was born from two other pure types of blood. You will also be more powerful than the other vamponys. If you get bitten by a pureblood... But not as powerful as the pure blood you've been bitten too. Well... Unless if you're better with magic and skills." Dark said.
"Are some of your guards born vampony's too?" Twilight asked.
"Most. Some were bitten by the yellows eyes. And turned into them. Once you're bitten by a vampony, you get turned into one... if you live that is. And you would still be called yellow eyes vampony even though you were a normal pony before. The venom in any vampony has enough to turn your normal cells into a vampony's cells." Dark said.
"So.... I'm a pureblood vampony now?" Twilight asked.
"Yes. Your blood has 100 percent pure vampony blood now. Normally... If a queen decides to turn somepony into a pure blood... It would be done in a more in a fancy matter. But it has been more than 1,000 years since a queen has decided to turn a normal pony into a pure blood. Every vampony would have to stand and watch me bite your neck. My mother and father said that it increases that chance of the normal pony to be a good ruler. But even that seems silly to me. I already know you'll be a good ruler. You were a princess after all." Dark said.
"You were a princess after all? What do you mean "were?!" Twilight asked.
"Isn't it obvious? Twilight there is no way you can go back to your normal life!" Dark shouted.
Twilight turned her head to the right.
"I know that! But I didn't have a choice. I was kidnapped by you, and turned into a freak!" Twilight shouted.
Dark sighed.
"Twilight... I'm sorry you didn't have a choice. But I need you! I know you are the only pony... I mean vampony, who could fix this war! Between normal ponies and vampony's!" Dark said.
"You could of at least told me before you bit me." Twilight said and closed her eyes.
Dark sighed again.
"I know it was a bad idea to turn you into a vampony without giving you a warning. I just want this war to end." Dark said lying. Leaving out the revenge part.
Twilight opened her eyes and turned her head back to Dark.
"But that is the past now! Twilight there are so many things I want to change in the past. But I can't! So deal with it! " Dark shouted in her queen voice. And made a angry face.
Twilight said nothing, her face full of shock.
Dark stopped and sighed.
"I'm sorry I used my queen voice on you. I'm angry and sad. It's very hard to live this way.... Where your nothing near..."Normal. " Dark said and closed her eyes. Dark moved her head down and her expression was full of sadness.
Twilight got up and walked up to Dark, and put her right hoof on Dark's shoulder.
Dark looked up.
"Fine. Your right. There are many things I want to change in the past too... I don't 100 percent forgive you. But for now, I'll let it pass." Twilight said and smiled.
Dark jumped up and was standing once again.
"Good! Now we can get going?" Dark said.
Twilight made a surprise face, but then it turned back to a normal face quickly.
"Hold on.... Before you say anything else... Is it possible for me to turn somepony else into a pureblood?" Twilight asked.
"Yes.... Just like I can. Why do you ask?" Dark asked.
"I just wanted to know," Twilight said.
"Okay...?" Dark said.
"Where are we going?" Twilight asked suddenly, trying to change the subject.
"Outside. I want to test your skills." Dark said.
"What? Do you think I should rest first? I just discovered that I'm a vampony today!" Twilight said.
"You've rested long enough." Dark said and walked to her door.
Twilight turned around and watched Dark open the door with her magic.
"After all... You slept for almost a week." Dark said and suddenly ran out of her room.
"Wait... WHAT?!? Dark! Come back here! What do you mean I almost slept a week? That can't be right!" Twilight said and ran after Dark.
Once Dark ran out of her room. She looked behind her to see if Twilight was there. She was... But also two guards with confused faces.
"Just follow me Twilight! Let's see how fast you can run!" Dark shouted to Twilight.
Dark turned her head again to the front of her. Dark started running faster than she did in a long time.
"Let's see how Twilight is good at running." Dark thought.
Meanwhile... Outside of the castle
"I still don't get why we have to stand by the outside castle door... It gets really boring." The right guard said. While he was looking up at the night sky.
"I know what you mean. I'm bored too. But Queen Dark is counting on us." The left guard said.
The right guard turned his head to the left guard.
"Wow. Since when did you become confident?" The right guard said.
"Since now. I'm sure you heard the rumors. But even without the rumors. Queen Dark gives us enough hints that something is going on." The left guard said. And then he looked at the right guard.
"Besides... I rather guard the outside door then actually deal with the queen herself." The left guard said. And then looked away from the right guard.
"What do you mean?" The right guard asked while he was still looking at the left guard.
"Think about it... Queen Dark can make us do anything. If we do one thing wrong. We can get in serious trouble. I would rather be safe than sorry." The left guard said.
"Funny. I still see other guards break the rules. Even with the risk." The right guard said and looked away from the left guard.
"Huh?" The left guard said.
"Really dude? You haven't noticed? Since Queen Dark is out of the castle more. We can fool around without getting caught. Heck! I think there are a certain group of guards that do it." The right guard said.
"Oh... I see." The left guard said.
There was a moment of silence...
"Hey... Do you think Queen Dark will ever get married?" The guard on the right asked.
The left guard thought about for a while before giving an answer.
"I'm not sure... But I know it is possible." The left guard said.
"Yes... But who will it be?" The right guard asked.
"I don't know. Queen Dark hasn't had the chance to think about a relationship... Well... I think she hasn't had the time." The left guard said.
"Ha. The chance of her falling in love is like 1 percent." The right guard said and chuckled.
"Dude... You just jinxed it." The left guard said and looked at the right guard.
"Oh sh-"
Now back to Dark!
As Dark looked behind her... Twilight was catching up to her. And Dark smiled.
"Watch out!" Twilight suddenly shouted.
Dark looked in front of her. But before she realized...
*Crash*

...
...
"D-"
"Dark! Are-"
"Dark! Can you hear me!?"
Dark slowly opened her eyes.
Dark saw Twilight.
"Thank Celestia! You're alright!" Twilight said.
"Ugh... What happened?" Dark said to Twilight.
"You crashed into somepony." Twilight said.
"Oh great... Let's see who I bumped into." Dark thought and got up.
Dark looked around and saw a guard laying on the floor. She walked over the guard and so did Twilight.
"Hey... Twilight. Can you teleport all three of us back to my room? After that crash. I really can't think straight." Dark said.
Twilight smiled and nodded. Twilight's horn lit up and the three teleported away.
Back in Dark's room...
Dark opened her eyes and saw that she was back in her room. Then Dark turned to the guard.
"Twilight. Can you help me get this armor off?" Dark asked.
"Okay," Twilight said.
Twilight did as told and helped Dark get that armor off. It took a while but they both did it. They put the armor on the floor.
Dark looked at the guard and realized who it was.
"Of course, the pony who I would run into is Chris.... What is my luck!? Seriously! But wait... Didn't I tell him to guard the door? Wait... Why was he there in the hallway?" Dark thought.
Suddenly Dark looked at Chris's rump... He also had no cutie mark. Which Dark was confused on.
"Chris has no cutie mark like me.... Why?" Dark thought.
"I know he is your guard... But do you exactly know who this pony is, Dark?" Twilight asked.
"Yes. More than any other guard." Dark said.
"But... That's weird. I asked him to guard my bedroom door with the two other guards. I don't get why he was there. Ha... Looks he has some explaining to do." Dark said.
"Then what are we going to do now?" Twilight asked.
Dark said nothing and used her magic to move Chris. She put Chris on her bed.
Normally... I would go to bed right now. But I think I will just teach you.... Stuff." Dark said and paused a bit.
"I already tested your speed. But I think we should do something that you have no choice." Dark said.
"What are you going to do?" Twilight asked.
Dark looked at Twilight and walked close to her. Dark raised her right hoof to Twilights face.
"Bite it." Dark said.
"Huh?" Twilight said.
"You heard me." Dark said.
"What for?" Twilight asked.
"Aren't you thirsty? Especially after that running?" Dark asked.
"Yes..." Twilight said quietly.
"Then go ahead! Bite my hoof." Dark said.
"Oh! No, No! No! No! No! No! No! I am not doing that!" Twilight said and backed away.
Dark put her hoof down.
"Alright. If you get tired and thirsty. Don't come crying to me!" Dark said.
I understand what I am. A monster.... A pony who drinks blood from the living. So why am I not evil? Ever pack of blood I drink... I feel like I'm draining some pony's life. I miss my parents, they understood what I was, because they were the same. They also knew why, it's because of the bloodline, We are pure vamponys, the most powerful. My life couldn't have been any better. Until that day... I SAW CELESTIA KILL MY PARENTS IN FRONT OF MY EYES! SHE KILLED THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE DIFFERENT! I... was so young... I believe I was 10 years old. I ran as fast as I could. And I got lucky, or more like unlucky... Many of my pony's made it out alive. But I was shattered and I still am. I'll be fixed, though... When I get my revenge.
I still like normal ponies. The only pony I hate is Celestia, because not only did she kill my parents, she killed my ponies that I loved. Because they protected me. Even for their own lives. I know I'm not the only pony who nearly got killed only because I'm different. Celestia's probably killed more than just vamponies. I feel bad for other ponies like me, who were punished unjustly by Celestia just because they were different... It infuriates me just to think about... but, at least, I know that I'm not the only one.
Soft hoof steps could be heard in the dark and dimly lit hallway. The pony who was making the hoof steps noises was named Dark. Every hallway she walked to... It was always black. And also torches slowly burned as they were on the black cold walls.
Dark had a bright red tail and mane. Dark's fur color was a darker grey. And her hair was short and straight. Dark's hair just reached her chin. Her tail though, was long and also straight. And it barely touched the ground. Dark is a unicorn and has 20% cooler bat wings. And she has red cat-like eyes and no cutie mark.
Then as Dark was walking another hallway, she suddenly remembered that there were only two guards she saw for the past few hallways. It was strange... Dark always saw more on other days. But she didn't really care. Every day is somehow different to Dark. The guards had the same color armor and shape like all her other guards. The armor was black and all of the guards had yellow cat eyes. They also had bat wings. But every vampony had bat wings.
Luckily for Dark, all of her guards did their duty's well. They’d always bow as Dark passed them and she’d always nod saying they could get up. The only problem for Dark today is that she needed to go to her throne. But that the same time, she also needed to rest.
Dark suddenly stopped in a middle of the hallway. She looked around the hallway to see if it was clear, and it was. Dark sat down. She needed the rest. She didn't sleep well last night. And she also hasn't had the blood she needs to get through the rest of the day.
"My queen are you alright?" As soon as Dark looked at him, he bowed respectfully and really fast. Dark wasn't able to see his face at that moment.
"I am fine, and you can get up now, my guard," Dark said firmly.
He got up, and the first thing Dark noticed about him is that he had a scar by his right eye. And she never saw anyone with a big scar like that. He also had black hair and it was nice and short. Barely covering his eyes. And his short fur all over him was light grey, but Dark couldn't see his cutie mark and he had no horn either.
"How did you get that scar?" Dark asked.
"I got this scar at the training grounds," He said.
Dark said nothing, the scar was deep, and it looked like it hurt. For some reason, the scar looked appealing or it reminded her of how she is also scarred for life.
The guard noticed right away that Dark was looking at his scar and said, "My queen, are you sure you are alright?"
Dark instantly snapped backed to reality. "Um. Yes, I am fine! I was just thinking."
The guard didn't look convinced but said "Well, okay... If you say so."
Dark quickly change the subject and said, "Well I must go, I have a throne to sit on."
He chuckled a bit and said, "Goodbye my queen." And they went their separate ways.
Finally, Queen Dark was at her throne. The throne was black with a red pillow to sit on, and her walls are always black. Except the red carpet that led to her throne. There was only four windows, two on the right and left of her. The windows were pretty big they almost filled the sides of the wall. Two guards had to stand by the throne. It was for protection. She sat on her throne and started to think.
"I need to redecorate this castle, too much black. But... Why am I noticing this now?" Dark mumble to herself.
"Hey, where is-" Dark was cut off by the door opening.
"I'm so sorry Queen Dark!" It was Dark's best friend maid, she was definitely running down the halls since she sat right away when she made it to the room.
"You're late. I'm sure you have a reason why." Dark said, in her queen voice.
"Well-"
"SILENCE!" Dark cut her off, and the maid closed her mouth fast.
By one look of her face, you could tell she was surprised and afraid. Dark hadn't screamed that loud in a long time, and it felt good to get some of that anger out. She was bored, so Dark decided to toy with her.
"I DO NOT want to hear your pathetic excuses!" The maid said nothing, and Dark continued. "Now... Where is my blood?" The maid pulled out the tray and showed her a pack of blood.
Dark waited a moment. The tray started to shake. Dark was trying to hold in her smile and said, "Animal or pony blood?"
"A-A-Animal." The maid said.
"What!? I wanted pony blood! You know pony blood taste better!“
The maid was always kind to Dark. Dark felt bad that she would scare her like this, but it was going to be funny when she was done. The maid’s appearance was appealing to Dark, she had yellow eyes, brown hair, and a white coat, she was also wearing a ponytail.
"Y-you always take animal blood." Dark tried to reply but she couldn't hold the laughter anymore.
"Hahahahahahahahahahahahhaha. You should see the look on your face!" Dark raised her hoof, as she laughs. She laughs so much that her chest started to hurt.
"Whats so funny!?" The maid was confused and angry.
Soon Dark calmed down as quickly as she could, and said, "I'm not mad at you at all. So what if you're late! I'm immortal! We are all immortal!"
The maid was angry. She gave Dark the blood pack and stormed out. After she left, Dark smiled.
"She'll forgive. She has to forgive me. I am a queen after all."
A few hours past after that. Dark was given a report that her pollution is okay. But she needed to make an announcement. And this announcement is going to be important. She told some of the guards to get every pony as quickly as they could and meet at this spot. There were more guards than maids. Dark's ponies either protect her or feed her. Dark's race is dying, that's why she has no citizens.
After every pony was there, Dark had to speak really loud, I mean it is an important announcement.
"I have an important announcement to make! I need to visit Ponyville! As you should all know there is a new princess. Her name is Princess Twilight Sparkle. I have a plan! And its does involves that princess and her friends. I need to learn more about this ’Princess of friendship’ and her friends.”
After the announcement, many ponies started talking at once. Dark left the throne room, worried that if she stayed too long, a problem could happen. Dark was going to go to Ponyville and see this princess once and for all.
Dark said goodbye to her maids and guards. She was about to leave, but she was stopped.
"My queen!" Said the scarred pony. After that, he bowed.
Dark looked to see who it was, it only took a second to remember him because of his scar.
"Oh! it's you! And what is it?" Dark said.
"I just wanted to say good luck," He said.
"Thank you," Dark said kindly.
After that, both of them waved their goodbyes and went their separate ways again.
"No!" Dark said as she woke from her dream.
Dark looked around, she was back at her bedroom. And Twilight was still laying there.
"It was a dream?" Dark said.
Dark looked at Twilight.
"Your pity and forgiveness have made you weak."
"Has it really..?" Dark asked herself out loud.
"No... I only pity myself because of Twilight. I would have killed Celestia if she didn't say "sorry." And started crying tears of blood." Dark thought.
Dark nodded and got up from her bed.
"I shouldn't let that dream get to me. It was only a dream after all.." Dark thought.
Dark looked at the time.
it was 9:00 AM.
"That's right! I have to meet Princess Luna tonight! She didn't say what time, though. I'll meet her right after when she raises the moon." Dark thought and smiled.
"Hmm. I think I'm excited to meet Princess Luna. I wonder why..." Dark thought.
8:30 PM
Not much happened to Dark that morning and evening. Dark filled Twilight's blood pack with water again and checked Twilight's heart. It was still beating.
Dark sat on her throne that morning too. She waited for her servant to give her blood. And told Chris in the evening that she was going to Ponyville for a few hours.
By the time Dark said goodbye to Chris, and walked to her room. The moon and stars were already up in the sky.
"Well that was a morning. Time to go see Luna!" Dark thought.
Before Dark teleported to the front gates of Canterlot, she looked at Twilight and changed form again.
"To the MOON PRINCESS!!!" Dark thought and teleported to the front gates of Canterlot.

Once Dark was theirs. She saw two guards guarding the front gates. They were the same guards when Dark was with Twilight. Apparently Dark scared the two of them.
"Halt!" The two guards said, and they both pulled out a spear. They both put the sharp part of the spear next to Dark's neck.
"I'm here to see Princess Luna!" Dark yelled innocently.
The guards didn't move the spear. They both looked at each other. As if they were speaking to each other, even though they didn't say a word.
They both looked back at Dark.
"Alright. We will escort you to Princess Luna. But don't do anything stupid. Understand?" The right guard said.
The two guards looked at each other again. And put their spears away.
"Open the gate!" The two guards said, and the gate started to lift up from the ground.
"I wonder why they're so hostile... Maybe it's about Twilight missing?" Dark thought.
Once the gate was open. The two guards that put a spear next to Dark's neck moved the head of her. Dark noticed that there were two more guards guarding the front door. They were also Celestia's guards.
The two guards in front of Dark nodded at the guards guarding the front door.
The two guards guarding nodded back and open the door.
Once again, Dark was in the Canterlot castle.
As Dark walked closer to Luna's room. Dark noticed that there were more bat guards then Celestia's guards. As she looked at them, they all gave a glare.
"They really do not trust me... When Twilight was next to me, their face relaxed. Do they think I kidnapped Twilight? If so, their right. But they have no proof that I took Twilight." Dark thought.
A few minutes later...
Dark suddenly saw Princess Celestia and Luna. They were talking. The guards let the princesses talk, it would be rude to interrupt. Because Dark wasn't an emergency.
"Sister, who do you think kidnapped Princess Twilight?" Luna said.
"I don't know sister. But whoever it is, he or she is deferentially an enemy to not take lightly." Celestia said.
Luna was about to say something. But she noticed Dark and the guards.
"Ah! Just the pony I was waiting for!" Luna said, and smiled.
"You may leave now," Luna said as she looked at the two guards.
The guards nodded.
"Yes, Princess Luna," They said, and started walking away.
"Come. We must go to my room!" Luna said excitedly.
Dark nodded and started walking with Luna. Dark stopped walking and was at the spot where Luna was talking to Celestia. Dark smiled lightly at Celestia, and Celestia gave the same expression.
Dark turned around and followed Luna again. Secretly Dark didn't want to smile at Celestia at all. But Dark had to make sure Celestia didn't think she kidnapped Twilight.
Luna's room.
Luna walked in first. And turned around to look at Dark. Dark was standing at the doorway.
Luna smiled.
Dark smiled back and walked into Luna's room.
Dark looked around Luna's room. Once thing is for sure, the whole room was blue.
"Go ahead and take a seat Dark," Luna said.
Dark saw that Luna had a fireplace and some pillows on the floor.
Dark walked over to the fireplace and sat on a pillow. And Luna joined her.
"I'm a bit surprised you came. I didn't say what time, and I didn't say why. I would like to talk to you." Luna said seriously.
"Uh oh... This sounds bad..." Dark thought.
"Talk about what?" Dark asked nervously.
"Why do you want to learn about friendship?" Luna asked.
"Because... I want a good and happy life. I want a life that I can have many good friends, and be happy. I don't live forever like you do. That's why I want to learn friendship." Dark said confidently.
Luna nodded and smiled again. But Luna's face quickly turned serious again.
"I have decided to test you. Come with me." Luna said seriously.
"Oh no... This sounds bad... Again." Dark thought.
