The Elementals book 1: Visions

The scent of fear was in the air along with the sound of hoofsteps and the howling of timber-wolves as an alicorn was trying to escape to save her child who was weak and helpless at the time. The alicorn had emerald green eyes that sparkled like diamonds a curly blue mane, and a sky blue crystal body, wings, and horn. Once in a while she will look back to see a horrifying pony like creature with reptilian eyes and a cutie mark that showed her darkness, a shadow pony. She would run farther with her baby in her sack, but one time she accidentally dropped her child and she ran back to get her.

Sadly when she got there she found her child without her horn and her wings were crippled. The mother began to cry over her child with blocked magic and wings that won't lift her into the air. When the alicorn stopped sobbing she took off her necklace and did a spell the change herself into a cat with wings so she could watch her child grow up, but before that she put a spell into the necklace that would teleport both of them to the crystal empire so that a friend of the alicorn can take care of her child in the crystal empire. When the alicorn was done the child and the former alicorn now pegacat disappeared in a blink of an eye.
