The Elementals book 1: Visions

"Guards make sure that she doesn't faint," Cadence instructed to the guards. I gave a dumbfounded look to her hoping for an explanation.  Cadence shook her head signaling a 'no not until tomorrow'. I groaned and went to find my pegacat, River. Pegacats are a rare species that Fluttershy discovered a year before I was born. Think of a cat with wings, that is a pegacat. Only 15% can talk like River can since birth. River has grey fur, black stripes and spots, and emerald eyes that sparkle like stars. River is friendly, cute, curious, adventurous, and sometimes demanding.

When Fluttershy discovered the Pegacats species she discovered that they can deeply bond with ponies. A bond is a friendship that can't be broken even if the pegacat or pony dies. Nature chooses who the pegacat bonds with so there is no mistakes. Pegacats are also sadly prey to dragons which makes them live in a forest circle surrounded by dragonsneeze trees.

River has been bonded with me for as long as I remember literally. I guess we saw each other and just bonded and that's it. River is the joy in my life that takes my mind off of the bullies that make fun of my crippled wings.

When I found River I gave her a little nuzzle to wake her up from her morning catnap. She woke up and stared at me and said,"Is it breakfast already," I nodded a yes back.

She followed me to breakfast that was her start to her day so she could get a treat. Breakfast was pancakes, zap apple jam on toast, Sweet Apple Achers apple cider, and some biskets. River got her special cat food and a treat of her favorite food, fish. We ate in silence until Shining Armor broke through the door looking panicked.
