*sound activated* *door slamming* "Whoa, Lily, what’s wrong? What’s wrong?"

*hyperventilating*"T-there’s something in the water! A-a monster."

"What do you mean a monster?"

"A monster Entrinity! I was swimming in the water when I heard a loud roar. It-it kind of sounded like a whale but-"

"Maybe you heard a whale Lily."

"No! I’m not joking. It wasn’t a whale it was different from a whale. More g-guttural" *heavy breathing*

"You do know that you and your friends are the most overdramatic mares in Equestria?"

"I-I’m not being overdramatic. I heard it. Can’t you see I’m scared!?" *sobbing*

"D… don’t cry. Alright, I believe you. Come here… it’s okay. It’s okay. Go lay down on my bed and I’ll, uh, make you some tea okay?"

"O-okay." *clopping* *squeaking*

"Hey, didn’t I turn you off? Sign off."

8:16 pm, Manehattan, Equestria, apartment179

*sound activated* *loud whistle* *running water* "Ow! That’s hot… Lily, you doing okay?"

"Yeah."

"Alright. I got your tea right here, I’m coming." *clopping* "Here you go, careful, it’s hot... like it?" *slurping*

"It’s good…. Um, Entrinity?"

"Yeah?"

"You were in the royal guard, right?" *slurping*

"Yeah. Wh-"

"What were you in the royal guard?"

"I was a combat spear specialist." *slurping*

"You know how to fight?"

"Yeees."

"So you’ll protect me right?"

"Still scared about what you heard at the beach?" *squeaking*

*slurping* "Yeah."

"Well then don’t worry. I promise that if some monster comes out of that water, I will never let it harm a single hair on you… do you trust me?"

"I… trust you." *slurping*

"Good. And hey, if you are really that scared, I’ll go talk to somepony at the lifeguard station tomorrow about the sound you heard and you can get on your ferry and on your way home. Everything will be just fine."

"Really?"

"Of course. You’re in Manehattan. What could go wrong?"

*slurping* "Okay. T-thanks Entrinity."

"You’re welcome Lily."*clinking* *snoring*

9:00 pm, Manehattan, Equestria, apartment 179

*sound activated* *loud whine* *grinding* *screaming* "Ahhh!" "Run!" "Monster!"

*gasping* "What was that!? Trinity wake up! Wake up!"

*gasp* "Huh! What, what’s wrong! What!"

"Ponies are screaming outside."

*squeaking* "Screaming?... Stay here, I’ll be right back." *yawning* "It’s probably just a party or-"

*Shattering glass* *thud* *sliding* "Ahhhh! OH MY CELESTIA! Oh my sweet celestia!"

"Oh. My. Luna."

"He’s dead! Something threw him through the window!"

"I can see th-"

"How many stories up are we?!"

"Seventeenth floor. M-my apartment is on the seventeenth floor."

*hyperventilating* *crying* "What!? S-s-seventeenth! Oh my, oh my, oh my-" *clopping*

"Lily, calm down!"

"What threw him!?"

"Lily! Calm down!"

"It’s that monster I heard! I knew it! We’re going to die!"

"Lily Valley! Stop pacing, stop yelling, stop saying we’re going to die!" *heavy breathing*

"O-okay, o-okay, o-okay….. I’m calm. Now what?"

"Now, let’s see what’s going on outside. We’re going to look out the window, see what can be seen and then worry about what to do afterwards… okay?"

"Okay." *clopping* *crunching glass* *gasp* *screaming* *loud roar*

"Where is it? I don’t see it?"

"I don’t see it either, but it completely destroyed the street. Look at those crushed carts. Oh my Luna, it must be massive, bigger than an ursa major." *loud roar* *whale whine* "Whoa… check that out."

"Those poor ponies." *crunching glass*

"Alright. So outside is in shambles. I don’t know what happened but something is roaring on the other side of the buildings in front of my apartment. I th-"

"What are you doing?! You’re talking to a book while there’s some creature rampant outside!?"

"I'm keeping a record on what’s going on so that ponies can read it later. Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, It sounds like the monster is on the other side of the buildings. Carts in the street below are totally crushed. There are, uh, a few dead ponies in the street as well as an orange stallion in my bedroom. The monster must have thrown him through my window... hmm." *clopping* *door opening*

"Where are you going? You can’t leave me!"

"I’m not leaving you, you’re coming with me."

"Out there!? Where that thing is!?"

"Lily. We need to get out of here. The walk to the docks is only five minutes. We’ll catch a ferry and wait until this blows over."

"It’ll kill us!"

"It’s on the other side of those buildings. It looks like it’s moved on. Come on Lily. It’s just five minutes."

"They teach you to put yourself in danger in the royal guard, hmm?" *clopping*

"No. They taught me you either move or die now let’s go."

"You promise I’ll be safe? I mean really promise."

"I promise. Now please, let’s go before it comes back."

*sigh* "Coming." *door closing*

*clopping* *ding* "You sure we should use the elevator?"

"Yeah. The power is still on and aside from a few scratches the building seems fine. All aboard."

"Fine."

"Oh yeah. I forgot about that thing. Better turn it off. Sign off."

9:26 pm, Manehattan, Equestria, apartment lobby.

*trotting* "Awesome. It’s back on Lily. Say hi."

"Hi."

"So we survived the elevator ride down here. Somepony was scared it would break down or fall. Anyway, we’re trotting through the lobby right now. The glass door in the front is shattered and there’s newspapers everywhere. A few of the other residents are in here too." *crunching glass*

"Now we’re on the street. There’s a lot of rubble everywhere as well as glass, wood, and cracked concrete. It looks like a warzone… Lily are you doing okay?"

*trotting* "Yeah, I-I’m fine. Just a little nervous. Um… the suns down now. Almost all the streetlights are knocked over and smashed but the lights are still on in the buildings around. We’re not alone out here either. There’s a bunch of ponies walking in the street as well. It seems we’re all kind of clueless on what’s going on. I can’t see any foals though… Entrinity is that it?"

"Yeah those are the docks off in the distance." *paper crunching*

"Oh no! No, no, no, no, no, no, no! Oh my Luna no! All the ferries! They’re all already sailing."

"W...w-what do we do now?"

"Ahg. I…I don’t know... Let’s just-"*loud roar* *screaming* *water crashing* *electricity shorting out* *wood breaking* *splashes* "Help! Help!" *loud roar*

"Oh Luna! Lily, turn around! Run! Let’s go, run!" *loud clopping* "Run!" *screaming* *ragged breathing* *multiple hooffalls.*

"The apartment?"

"No! Just keep running! We’ll stop at the-"

"Sweet Celestial it’s coming this way!"

*screaming* *thud* "Honey get up!"

"Trinity! Stop! She’s hurt!" *skidding hooves*

"Mare, you get her right side I’ll get her left." *loud footfalls* *concrete breaking*

"It’s coming this way! I’ll get her, you two go!" *loud roar*

"That’s my-" "GO!" *scrabbling hooves* *grunting* *loud trotting*

*loud footfalls* "I got her!"

"BEHIND YOU!" *screaming* *bones crushing*
