//-------------------------------------------------------// Alexander White Coat -by alexWC- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 (Origins) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 (Origins) Over in the Nordic regions of equestria, the house of the white coats was bustling with activity, the two masters of the house hold, Mr. and Mrs. White Coat, their son was leaving for Canterlot. "Alex! Wake up you'll miss your train!" Alexander's mother yelled as he lay asleep in his bed. Alexander woke up and set to his things. He had planned for this all his life and he finally was going to make it. He had packed the night before but had left out the clothes he was going to wear out on a chair in the corner of his room. He picked up his nice coat and looked back, he thought of all the memories he had in this room, he grew up here, his mother chased him around here as a foal, he fell head over hooves as a baby in here and then got up and started laughing. Alexander was going to miss this place, but he promised to visit, and he kept his promises. "Mother? Where are you" Alexander inquired, moving out of his room. "In here love, come, eat before you go, I made your favorite, you loved it since you were a baby" Alexander's mother replied from the kitchen, starting to wipe her eyes of the tears that were rolling from her eyes. "Oh mother, you promised you wouldn't do this" Alexander said, embracing his mother comfortingly. "I know, you promise to visit three times a year!" She replied, wiping her eyes a final time. "Yes mother" Alexander said, sitting down in his chair and starting to eat, it was an old Nordic recipe for potato pancakes. Alexander reveled in the taste of it, until his bitter disappointment as it slowly withered away into his stomach. "You promise to send me these?" Alexander asked jokingly of his mother as he stood up, wiping his mouth. "Ha ha! Yes I do" She replied. Alexander moved towards the door and put on his hat, a trim; black, wide rimmed fedora, and started to open the door. His father came down the staircase. "You're not going to leave without giving your old man a hug right?" Alexander's father inquired jokingly as he came down the stair case. "ha ha, of course not father" Alexander replied, moving towards his father and wrapping him in a warm embrace. "Make us proud Alex, Make us proud" He said, letting go of his son. Alexander's freedom was short lived as his mother came and gave him a parting hug as well. "Remember! Three times a year!" She said, pointing her hoof at his face as he left her embrace. "Yes mother!" he replied, and with that he left the house and made his way to the nearby train station. Before he got on he dropped by his local sweet shop and said goodbye to his good friend, Peter, who ran the candy shop. Alexander was given a bag of sweets to last him the train ride, which he thanked Peter for profusely. From there he went right to the ticket booth, but before he could get in line an old mare whom he had helped out of some hard times came up to him. "You're leaving eh?" she asked. "Yes, Ma'm" he replied. "You're one of the best and hardworking unicorns I've met, don't let those prim and proper ponies down in Canterlot take away that spirit" Said the old lady, waving as she left. "Thank you!" he yelled as she left, but she disappeared behind a hay cart that went by. Alexander shrugged and Moved back to the ticket booth line, which was ungodly long. Soon it was Alexander's turn "Yes, how can I help you?" asked the pony sitting behind the window. "Yes, one ticket to Canterlot" Alexander replied. "Ok, that'll be 50 bits" said the pony behind the window. Alexander opened his purse which contained a total of 120 bits, every single one worked for, he took out 50 and emptied them on the counter. "Thank you! Enjoy your time!" said the pony behind the window, taking in the bits and putting them in a register. "I will" Alexander replied as he moved past the gate and sat waiting for his train. He sat down by a sign advertising the candy store he had just come from, he chuckled at the irony. Within 20 minutes a large train pulled into the station, its large doors opened and ponies poured out, Alexander stood up and moved over towards the train. He entered and had the conductor stamp his ticket, and entered the train. He sat down in the cabin his ticket specified and looked around, it was a luxury train, with a bed, a bathroom and a full functioning tub in the cabin, Alexander stared in disbelief. He had lived his life working for a living, now he was living for a sliver of it, in the place of the rich. Alexander put his bags down in the closet and sat down in the bed, unsure of what his future was. Another pony entered the room, a large red masculine pony, which seemed all too familiar with hard work. "How can I help you?" Alexander asked, looking confusedly at the pony invading his room. "Umm, mah…mah name is Big Macintosh…this…this is cabin umm…5 right" He replied stuttering and fumbling around with his ticket. "Yes it is, you're not good at talking to new ponies are you?" Alexander replied jokingly trying to make Big Macintosh a little less nervous. "Eenope" Big Macintosh replied. "Well, you have no reason to fear me, I'm just on my way to Canterlot, same as you" Alexander replied, trying to lighten the air. "Actually, I'm on my way back, I live in Ponyville, tain't far from Canterlot" Big Macintosh replied, loosening up a bit. "Ah, then maybe you can help me, I'm from Skyhilm, the small town we just came from. I'm moving to Canterlot, you think you might be able to help me settle in?" Alexander asked joyously. "A course, if you help me a bit" Big Macintosh replied. "How can I help you?" Morgan asked, silently laughing inside his head at the fact he had asked the same question before. "Take a look at mah ticket, can ya'll tell if this is mah cabin?" Big Macintosh asked, handing Alexander his ticket. "Ok….it says here you're in cabin 7, it looks like a 5 because of that little smudge there" Alexander replied handing Big Macintosh his ticket back. "Thanks! Say, I didn't quite catch your name sir, I told you mine, what's yours?" Big Macintosh asked, taking his ticket from Alexander's hooves. "Alexander White Coat, at your service!" Alexander replied jovially, shaking Big Macintosh's hand. "Well, mighty nice to meet ya Alex! Always good to make new friends!" Big Macintosh replied laughing "Indeed, thank you for agreeing to help me" Alexander said laughing along as well. "No Problem Alex!" Big Macintosh replied, leaving the cabin. Alexander sat down in a chair in the corner of the room, he planted his hooves on his knees, but halfway down they brushed something. He took a look, and saw a package; a name tag was attached to the side which read "From Mom and Dad- to Alexander". Alexander picked up the package and took a look; a card lay taped to the side. He took it off and read it. All that was written was "remember that walking stick you wanted?" Alexander put the card down and started to unwrap the package. Inside he found a walking stick, topped with a spherical fire ruby. Alexander was ecstatic; he stood up and held it out, did a few laps around the room with it, and then started writing a thank you letter home which he promptly sent. He then put his walking stick by the door, and lay in bed, closing his eyes, he dreamt of what he would do once at his destination. "Arriving in Canterlot station, arriving in Canterlot station" said a crackly, electronic voice over the intercom; Alexander awoke quickly, got his bags and walking stick, and left for the station. Alexander entered a sea of discord. Alexander laughed at the irony of how crazy it was, and the fact discord was sitting in the Canterlot statue garden. Soon he made his way out to the entrance of the station, after his ID and ticket being checked. Alexander walked outside, and stood astounded at the immense size of the city. Alexander blinked a couple times, trying to take it all in, he decided to go to the first place that came to mind, the job he had been offered. Alexander moved out of the train station, and got a full view of the castle which he promptly made his way towards. He entered the lobby of the castle and stopped to see the secretary. "Name?" Asked the seemingly put off mare. "Alexander White Coat" He replied. "Country of origin, and town" She said again, apparently tired of asking these questions of everypony who entered the castle for an interview. "I'm from Harmany, Town name is Skyhilm" Alexander replied. "Thank you, down the hall, last door to the left, room 15" Said the secretary demurely. "Thank you!" Alexander replied cheerfully, then walking down the hall. He moved past each door, his ears sensing nothing going on behind any of them. He soon arrived at his door, he knocked and soon the door was opened, a large black equestrian guardsman opened the door. "Come in" He said sternly, yet friendly. Alexander obeyed, entering the room. He was seated at the opposite side of a desk. Alexander sat, contemplating what was going to happen. "It says here, you're from Skyhilm, a small town in….Harmany" Said the Black stallion, sitting across from Alexander. "Yes, that is correct" Alexander replied, calmly. "And…according to your file….you're applying as a….Guard?" Replied the black stallion, raising his eyebrow in anticipation. "Yes, that is correct" Alexander replied, nodding his head in confirmation. "Well, what makes you think you, are fit for this job?" Asked the black stallion, eyeing Alexander, analyzing him. "All my life, I've lived in my home town, I've helped people, I've worked hard, and I believe all the qualities that I've come across along the way, would help me in protecting ponies" Alexander replied readily, he had prepared for this question, he was going to make damn sure the answer was good. Apparently it was. "Well, Mr. White Coat, Welcome to the Equestrian Guard" Replied the black pony, standing up and shaking Alexander's hoof. "Wait-wha-wha- th-th-thank you!" Morgan replied stuttering, then shaking the black ponies hoof profusely. "Ha ha ha, you're welcome ha ha!" replied the black pony, extremely contrary to what he had been while interviewing. "By the way, my name is Liam. Come on, let's go get you your armor and things" Said the black pony, gesturing for Alexander to follow him. Alexander obeyed and followed Liam; a door in the back of the room was opened. Alexander and Liam walked out. "These are the barracks, this is where you'll get issued your armor, and weaponry" Liam said, walking out into the barracks. "Over there, is the living chambers, for ponies who don't have homes here yet, bunch of bums if you ask me, all you have to do is apply for a home and make the payments, easy on a guards salary" Liam said pointing down a hall. "Where should I go to get a house?" Alexander asked. "Just go back to the lobby of the castle, go to housing, they'll get you fixed up. The first thing you have to do though is go and get your armor, any weaponry you want you can request. Go see Joshua ice born , in the barracks, he'll get you straightened out" Liam replied "Thanks Liam" Morgan replied, moving over to the barracks. He made his way towards a door, above it a sign was hanging, proclaiming the door it hung over, to be an armory. Alexander entered; he was greeted by a large room, full of metal bars, and a forge in the middle. To the side, stood large racks of armor, weapons on the opposite side. "Can I help you?" asked a large blue colored pony, arising from behind the forge. "Yes, I'm new and I need to have my armor issued" Alexander replied, the large blue pony walked over to the side of the room with the armor. "Your name is Joshua Ice Born correct?" Alexander asked as he watched the pony browse through the armor. "Yes, that is my name. Heavy or light armor?" He replied looking over his shoulder to see Alexander. Before Alexander replied, Joshua took a armor set off of the racks. "You're a heavy armor pony, I can tell" He said, placing the armor in front of him. Alexander, trusting his judgment, took the armor and thanked him for it. "Now, we have to get you a weapon, you have any ideas?" Asked Joshua as Alexander took the armor into his hooves. Alexander thought on this, then his eyes went wide and he started rummaging though some papers in his sack. He pulled out a small paper with a sketch on it, he handed it to Joshua. Joshua looked at the paper and smiled. "It's been a while since someone decided to give me a real challenge ha ha ha! I like you kid!" He replied laughing and setting to work. Alexander chuckled as well, he had thought of that design on the way here, while sitting in the train. It was a kind of scythe, which folded at the end in four directions, forward, to both sides, and completely backwards. Such a craft would certainly do well in fighting. "You don't have to stand there ha ha! This is going to take me while, you should go get yourself situated in town, get to know people or something, your design will take time" Joshua said looking at Alexander. "Oh! Ok, I guess I'll go get myself set." Alexander replied, he then left the armory and set on his way out to the lobby of the castle once more. He soon arrived in the hall he had been in so recently, it seemed as if it was a distant dream, yet close to his memory. Alexander walked over to the desk titled "Housing". "Yes, how can I be of service?" asked the secretary, somewhat more cheerful than the previous one. "I was looking to get a house in town, are there any open?" Alexander replied. "…Let me take a look…….I'm sorry, there are none here in Canterlot, although the town of Ponyville has some openings, they're not far at all!" the secretary said looking through her books. "That will be fine, what options are there?" Alexander said, now intrigued at the thought of this new town. "Well, there is a large house in close proximity to the towns markets, or a smaller house not too close to the markets. Take your pick" Replied the secretary reading directly from her book the separate estates. "I'll take the house by the markets, seems good to me!" Alexander replied excitedly. "Good, here you are, your key sir" said the secretary, handing Alexander a house key. "Thank you!" Alexander replied excitedly. He left the castle singing to himself. Alexander walked outside to the bustle of the city, and walked along the road, he soon came to a road that had a sign reading "Ponyville, 1 mile" pointing down the road. He walked down the road singing merrily to himself. "On the road goes on and on Down from the door where it began And wither then? I cannot say." He soon arrived at his destination, Ponyville appeared before him. He walked into the town square where there was bustling activity; ponies were talking, selling, and walking all around. He looked around for the address on the piece of paper he had been given. He walked down a street named sugar cube corner, on the corner of which a bakery stood. He walked down and saw a large house with the correct number. "108 sugar cube corner, here it is!" Alexander exclaimed walking towards the house. HE soon was greeted by a pink pony with bushy hot pink hair that seemed to appear out of thin air. "HI! I'm PINKY PIE!" she yelled, jumping in front of him. "…Hello? Ah ha ha ha!" Alexander replied laughing. "What's your name? You're new right? Where'd ya come from? Huh huh huh?" Pinky pie said battering him with questions. "My name is Alexander White Coat, yes I am new here, and I'm form Harmany, How about I ask you the same ha ha ha?!" Alexander replied laughing even harder. "Well, I told you my name's Pinky Pie silly! I'm not new; I've been here for a while! I'm from a small town far away, but I live here now!" Pinky Pie replied happily jumping up and down. Alexander chuckled, for some reason this pony made him laugh. "Very nice to meet you!" Alexander said. "Do you live here?" Pinky Pie asked, pointing to the house in back of her. "Yes I do!" Alexander replied happily. "Wait….THEN THAT MEANS WE'RE NEIGHBORS!!!! YAY!" Pinky Pie said jumping up and down even higher now. Her eyes then went wide, and she ran at full speed away. Alexander blinked his eyes confusedly, then laughed hardily and slapped his knee. He then walked towards his house, laughing the whole way. Unlocking it, he entered it and put his bags down, then sitting down on them and looking around. "Time to get to work" He said, standing up and emptying his bag. 'Good thing I learned that shrink spell' Alexander thought chuckling. He emptied his bags, putting what looked to be miniature table sets, chairs, a bed, and all sorts of furniture. He then started to put them all around the house. After his bag was emptied he sat down and closed his eyes, his horn started to glow and a blue light jumped from his horn and started touching all the mini furniture. All of it started to grow, and fill the spaces in which they were put. After it was all done, Alexander sat in a large chair; he closed his eyes, focusing his magical energy back to its full point. After he was done meditating he stood back up, a knock came at the door. He answered and was greeted by a grey pony with her eyes going two different ways. "Delivery!" She said handing him a letter. "Thank you!" Alexander replied, the pony who delivered it set off. Alexander opened the letter and looked. 'Your weapon's ready, come pick it up and you'll get your first assignment, Joshua Ice Born' was what the letter read. Alexander put it in his pocket and left for the barracks again. He made his way along the road and soon arrived. He entered the barracks and went to see Joshua, he entered the room and saw him hard at work on something else. "There you are! Here, your weapon is over there, bloody pain that was to make but it's good now, you've got a good eye for weapon making, drop by if you want anything else" Joshua said, pointing towards the corner of the room in which Alexander's weapon was hanging. Alexander went to pick it up and looked it over; he exercised the head to see that it swiveled correctly, locked it in place, and smiled from ear to ear. "Thank you very much for this Joshua, you said I have an assignment, what's there for me to do?" Alexander replied, putting his scythe over his back. "You'll be set up by our coordinator, Daniel, he'll get you squared away" Joshua replied. "Thanks" Alexander replied, then leaving the weapon's room. He went over to an office door, which read 'coordinator', and entered. "Hello, my name is Alexander White Coat, I'm somewhat new. Joshua Ice Born said I'm to come and see you for my assignment" Alexander said as he entered the room. "Ah yes, well, my name is Daniel, you are being assigned to the…….what the…. It says here you are being assigned to the princesses but, and I mean no offence, but you're just starting. Well, it's on the roster, so you'll have to go. Good luck" Said Daniel as he looked through papers on his desk. "Wha-wha-what?! You mean I-I'm being assigned to the princesses, THE PRINCESSES OF EQUESTRIA!" Alexander replied franticly. "Yes, sorry mate, just the way it is, now head out! You're supposed to head to the castle" Daniel replied, trying to calm him down. "Alright…..well, here goes my best" Alexander said leaving the office. He headed out towards the courtyard of the barracks and made his way towards the castle. He soon arrived and moved towards the doors of the castle, another guard greeted him. "You're here for the princesses?" He asked. "Yes, I am" Alexander replied. "Alright, try not to break anything" said the guard, mumbling under his breath about the lowering of standards. Alexander walked inside, it was completely empty, 'must be something going on' Alexander thought to himself. "Ah, there you are, up here please" Said a voice from somewhere upwards. Alexander looked up and saw Princess Celestia, looking down at him from the upper floors. "Of course Princess, Coming Princess" Alexander replied rigidly, then moving up the stairs to meet the princess. He soon met her at eye level, he had never beheld such beauty, but for some reason he sensed a certain fear of her. "Alexander White Coat at your service your majesty" Alexander said, bowing to the princess. "Charmed, thank you, please, come, there is much to be done" Princess celestia replied, beckoning him along. "My sister and I are going to social events today, so you'll be mostly decoration, as you guards usually are. It's nothing against you personally, no one really wants to hurt me or my sister, so there hasn't been a need for you since the 4 weeks war, you're mostly for decoration now, as I said" Said the princess as she and Alexander walked along. "I understand, but still, it's better to keep you safe then leave you be my princess" Alexander replied. "True, true" Said the princess as she opened the door to her chambers. "You may stay here outside the door while I get ready for the first event we are having" Said the princess as she closed the door behind her. Alexander posted himself next to the door and waited. While he stood there another door, not too far down the hall opened, and Princess Luna stepped out. She stepped towards the door he was standing by, apparently looking for her sister. "Is she here? My sister is she here?" Asked Princess Luna looking profusely at Alexander. "Yes she is princess, she is getting ready for whatever social event that you both are going too" Alexander replied. "Alright..." Princess Luna replied, looking Alexander over. "I'm ready, let us be off! Ah, I see you've met my sister, well we need to go" Princess Celestia said, now coming out of her room. "Yes princess" Said Alexander, moving down the hall, they soon arrived at a carriage and the tow princesses climbed on. Alexander entered a separate carriage which was to stay close to the princesses' carriage. He entered his and they set off. Their arrival was quick and Alexander left his carriage and met the princesses again by the door of a very large illustrious building. "You will stay by us through the entire event, so just stay by us and you'll be fine" Said Luna. "Of course" Alexander replied. They entered and trumpets sounded. "The princesses of Equestria" said an announcer as the princesses entered. They moved down the aisle, shaking hands and making small conversations with various ponies from across the continent, speaking in the language of each one perfectly without accent. Alexander simply walked along, seen but unseen. Soon he got suspicious of a certain pony moving towards the princesses, he was a large black pony, with a large scar going across his side. Soon a dagger appeared in his hoof and Alexander moved instinctively, moving in a fluid motion and misdirecting the knife's intended path backward and barring the pony holding it in an inescapable hold. "you are under arrest in the name of the kingdom of Equestria!" Alexander said. The pony being held struggled, trying to free himself. "We will never stop fighting, Equestria will be ruled fairly again!" He yelled, struggling more and more. Alexander grew tired of holding him and soon landed a blow on his neck knocking him out. He let him fall to the ground and took the knife from his hoof. All eyes in the room were on him, and the pony on the ground. "So, they aimed to make good on their claim" Said princess celestia, looking down at the pony now lying on the ground. Many ponies were very confused, and scared, they wanted answers, and were not very happy with the princess's cryptic statement. "Some time ago, I received a threat, someone was challenging my rule, at first i took no notice, but soon he gathered followers, now he has many assets and a lot of power in equestria, he sent me a note, condemning me and promising to take my life, he wanted to make good on that statement today." Said Princess Celestia, she then turned to Alexander. "You are very talented, I know that pony, he is one of the most talented assassins in equestria, and you beat him, the Equestrian guard is lucky to have you, and I think, I might be as well." She said, looking at Alexander, analyzing him. "What do you mean?" Alexander replied confusedly. "Would you like to join my own elite squad of personal guards? It is a great honor and you would be a great addition" said Princess Celestia. "Of Course, I would be glad to serve you" Alexander replied calmly. "But I think it best we went back to the castle, it is not safe here" Alexander Continued. "Yes, that is a good idea, come sister" Princess Celestia replied. They left the Building, entering their carriage, Alexander entered his but ordered that a squadron of guards be deployed to this location, with that they left. They soon arrived back home, the captain of the guard was standing at the door of the castle, pacing back and forth. They touched the ground and he was soon upon them, asking question after question. "Captain, an attempt was made on my life yes, but please calm down!" Princess Celestia said, raising her hoof. The Captain was silenced, Alexander chuckled to himself how fast he stopped talking. "Princess, is this the guard who accompanied you?" Asked the captain, pointing towards Alexander. "Yes, he is very talented, he took Slink down in a matter of seconds, you are lucky to have him as a guard, but I'm afraid he is not saying there, I will be taking him" Princess Celestia replied. "Understood madam, I will send some guards to assess the site" said the captain. "Already taken care of" Alexander Said. The captain blinked a few times, but soon started to chuckle. "Well, you think of damn near everything, I'm glad you decided to serve with us" the captain replied "Glad to serve" Alexander said. The captain left and made his way to the barracks. He entered them and Alexander was left with the princesses. "You can still go to the barracks for armor and weapons, but you will take up residence in the castle now, in my own personal barracks" Princess Celestia said, now breaking the silence. "Alright, that will be good, is there anything I will need?" Alexander replied. "You will be issued your uniform, and some extra weapons unique to my elite squad, but you will have new armor, so you can just hold onto yours" Princess Celestia said. "Come, let us go, you can meet the others" She continued, then moving into the castle and beckoning Alexander to follow her, Princess Luna had gone back to her chambers. Alexander followed Princess Celestia down a large staircase which seemed to spiral down into the very core of the ground. Soon a large room materialized, illuminated by torchlight. Alexander felt a sudden disturbance of the air above him, he instinctively, in a fluid motion, turned the dropping thing around and pushed it to the ground. "Ha ha ha! My, you surely have picked a good one Celestia, a good one indeed" Said the figure, now getting up. Alexander was confused; the figure in front of him looked like discord. "Surely you can't be…" But before Alexander could finish his sentence he was interrupted. "Yes, I am, though not at all as I used to be, no, my name is Variety now! I've realized how harmful chaos is, but I still do like disorder, Variety is the spice of life they say, correct?" Replied the figure, now known to Alexander as Variety. "True, so you're on her elite squad of guards?" Alexander replied, a little less confused now but still unsure all together. "Guards? Is that what she told you? Ba ha ha ha! I'm sorry, but the princess has told that story too many times, we are her royal assassins" Variety replied. "Hm, well either way I don't really care, whether deliberately taking life for the princesses, or protecting her, I'll do it either way, but I'm sure this is much more fun" Alexander replied chuckling. "That's the spirit! Say, what's your name newcomer?" Variety said, slapping Alexander on the back. "Alexander White Coat, From Skyhilm, Harmany" Alexander replied proudly. "Ah! Harmany, went there myself once, took out a rogue parliament member. That was years ago though. Skyhilm you say? Never went there, must be pretty boring considering you left" Variety said. "Not at all! I got a job offer here, and I had no luck there really, so I came here, and here I am!" Alexander replied. "Well, welcome to The Brotherhood my friend, I'm the only one here right now, but the others will be back soon. But for now, we must get you set, the armory is over there, in it you will get your uniform, and your weapon. I see you have one already, a scythe? Nice, does it do anything note worthy?" Variety said, pointing to the scythe on Alexander's back. "It does indeed!" Alexander said, taking it off of his back. He cracked back the swiveling head, and took off a little bag from his side, he took a black powder and sprinkled some in a little chamber and put the swiveling scythe head back in its place. He then took another little bag and took out a small metal ball; he pushed it down the chamber and flipped the swivel head forward. He then held it long ways and pulled back the handle, a large bang was heard and a large jug on the other side of the room blew apart. "How's that for noteworthy?" Alexander said, putting his scythe back on his back. "Very good, very good!" Replied Variety, clapping his claw and hand together. Alexander then headed towards the room in which the uniforms were and looked around; they were large body covering robes, with a large hood meant to cover the face. He took one off of the wall and removed his armor, putting his two bags down on the floor; he then donned his new armor, and flipped his hood up, then putting his scythe back on his back. He exited the room with the uniforms and looked around, for whatever new weapon he was going to be given. "Here you are, this contraption wraps around your right or left hoof, whichever hand you use least, and at will you will be able to flip out a blade from your hoof" Said Variety, handing him the small blade. Alexander wrapped it around his left hoof, because he was right hooved. He flipped out the blade and admired it as it stood strongly protruding from the white sleeve covering his hooves. "Well, now that you've been all set up it's time for you to set out on your first assignment! Don't worry nothing too hard, just get in, kill, and get out. You're going home for a bit, a pony in Skyhilm is acting as a recruiter for the rebellion against me; you need to take him out." Princess Celestia said, moving towards Alexander. "Who is it? And where will he be?" Alexander replied immediately. "A pony named Chris; he will be in the market district of Skyhilm" Said the princess. Alexander nodded understandingly and made his way out of the castle. He made his way from the castle back to the train station. He made his way, sneaking around the back and jumping on top of the train he had designated to be going to Skyhilm. Soon it started to move and he laid down onto the roof of the car, and sat there waiting. Soon he arrived and he jumped off before he could be spotted. Alexander ran to the more crowded parts of the town, and soon he started to walk around, seen but unseen, and soon he located his target. Time seemed to slow down; he moved towards him and tapped him on the shoulder. "Yes?" He said, turning around. "I'm interested, in the rebellion" Alexander said. The other pony nodded understandingly and beckoned Alexander to follow him; he was lead to a nearby bar. They did not stop for a drink, they headed down to the basement and the other pony felt across the wall. He then pushed in a brick and a door opened, Alexander was led down a hall and soon he was shown a large room full of rebels, fully armed. 'Ok, roughly 20 soldiers and the target, let's do this' Alexander thought to himself. He whipped his Scythe off of his back and slammed the blade into Chris; he slumped lifelessly to the ground. The others in the room reacted immediately, Alexander flipped his blade around slicing apart everypony around him. Soon only one remained, he stood in the corner of the room. "Please, don't, I have 2 fillies, please" He said, holding his wounded hoof. "Fine, go home, never go with the rebels again, GO!" Alexander said. The Pony got up and ran away; Alexander left the scene and went out of the bar. He decided to stop by his parent's house quickly; He located his house and moved towards it. He knocked on the door and his mother answered. "Yes? How can I help you?" She said, looking up at him. Alexander removed his hood and looked at his mother. She embraced him strongly and laughed. "Why did you have your hood up ha ha ha! Come in come in!" She said, inviting him inside. He walked inside and she sat him down at the table. "So what have you been doing since you left" She said, walking around while brewing some tea. "I got the job, and better! I was promoted for an act I did while guarding the princesses" Alexander replied, as his mother sat a cup of tea in front of him. "The princesses? Of Equestria?!" His mother replied gasping. "Yes, by some sort of mistake, that was my first assignment! But it paid off that's for sure" He said. Alexander looked at the clock on the wall. "Well, I must get going mother, it was nice to see you" Alexander said, finishing his tea and standing up. He embraced his mother and started towards the door. Closing the door behind him he started on his way back to the castle. Some Time Later Alexander made his way down the spiral staircase, going down to the chambers in which all the assassins resided. He opened the door and looked around inside, everyone's eyes looked towards him. "Is this the one?" Said a purple pony with purple hair, a pink streak and a star like cutie mark. "Yes, I think it is" Said another more orange type one with an apple cutie mark. "What's his name?" Said the Pinky pony who had greeted Alexander at his house. "I don't know, maybe we should ask?" Said another stark white pony with a jewel cutie mark. "Well of course we should ask!" Said another Light blue pony, with rainbow colored mane and cutie mark "I-I don't know, he-he looks pretty scary" Said a yellow pony in the far back, Alexander could make out a cutie mark of butterflies. Soon the orange pony stepped out and looked at Alexander. "Mah name's Applejack, what's yours new comer?" She said, now scanning him over. "Alexander White coat, hailing from Skyhilm, Harmany" Alexander replied, soon all of the ponies came out of the shadows. They all said their names in quick succession, Fluttershy, Pinky Pie, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash. Alexander saw one of them admiring his weapon, Pinky pie looked it over. Alexander whipped it off his back and slammed the head down, so it was in its natural state. Pinky pie jumped back and started laughing. "It's very nice!" She said, standing up. "Thank you" Alexander replied, putting it back on his back. Alexander felt the air behind him start moving and turned around, but saw nothing. 'Someone is breathing' Alexander thought to himself. He moved up the stairs, until he reached the top step, still he saw no one. 'What is going on here' He said to himself. Moving outside of the castle, he looked around; it was night time and Alexander's favorite time of all. He walked around the gardens and soon sat down on a bench. 'Seems like a good time to start' Alexander said to himself. He pulled out an extremely small violin from his pocket, and cast the resizing spell on it. He was soon holding a full size violin in his hooves. He looked up at the moon and started playing. In the glade and over the hill In the bar and at the mill One can look ne'er upon such beauty as the moon! Whether old or young Whether worn and tired or energized One can look ne'er upon such beauty as the moon! Alexander sat on his bench, playing and singing for quite some time. Princess Luna heard his singing, but was not aware it was him until she looked down. She flew down behind him and simply watched in marvel, there was somepony else, who loved the moon as she did. Before she could stop herself, she started to sing along, but Alexander didn't stop he simply played to the end of his song. But he then turned around and looked at the princess. She looks at him in a mix of admiration and terror at what he was going to say. "Ironic, I sit here and sing to the moon, and the Princess of the moon has come to visit me!" Alexander said laughing. "You love the moon? Why?" Luna said, hesitantly "I do, why? Because it's beautiful that's why, much like you" Alexander replied, Before Luna could reply to the comment he continued. "Most people regard the day as beautiful, I don't think so. It has its perks yes, but the night is just so, so mysterious, so beautiful, so….ugh I just can't think of another word! Just beauty, pure beauty, and very accurately embodied within you" Alexander said. Luna blushed, it was the first time in a thousand years a colt had regarded her in such a manner. "Why, th-thank you" She replied "Not a problem" Alexander replied, he looked at Luna in a quizzical manner. "Come, I wish to show you something" Luna said, standing up and beckoning Alexander to come along. Alexander followed her. Her horn started to glow and a portal was opened in front of her, she entered again beckoning Alexander to follow her. He walked through the portal and looked around, wherever he looked he saw white, it seemed to be the surface of the moon. "Is this..." Alexander tried to utter the rest, but found himself unable. "Yes, this is the moon, Beautiful isn't it?" Luna replied "Yes, extremely" Alexander replied airily. Luna chuckled and moved towards him. "I like to dance you know, do you know anything a pony can dance too?" Luna said, pointing to his violin. Not hesitating in the least he pulled it out and started playing. Princess Luna started to twirl around to the melody; she jumped from the moon and began to jump and dance among the stars. Alexander soon started to sing. Is there a more beautiful mare? Can you find her please? Bring her hear and let her hear my soft melody. She'll look upon the sweet night Princesses' face And know she has her pride misplaced. Luna listened to him sing, and danced her way back to the moon; he laid his violin down and looked, ecstatically at the princess. She looked at him as well. Both were locked for some time in one another's eyes but this ecstasy did not last long, a blinding light surrounded them and the last thing Alexander did was run and hold on to the princess, after that, black. Alexander woke up, he seemed to be surrounded by rocks, wherever he was it was underground. He looked around profusely trying to scan the place for a way out, none was found. Before he could look around more, a door on the other side of the room opened. "Ah, I see you've woken up" Said Princess Celestia, coming towards him. "Ye-yes, what happened?" Alexander replied, groggily getting to his feet. "My sister fell in love, something she is forbidden from doing, and apparently the pony she loves is you. So now you are forbidden from seeing her again and must stay here" Princess Celestia replied, in an eerie matter of fact manner. "You-you can't do this" Alexander replied. "I can't? Watch me" Princess Celestia replied, leaving the chamber and closing the door behind her. Alexander sat down, despaired, angry, and rage building inside. 'No, she can't, I won't let it happen' Alexander thought to himself, his rage grew stronger with every passing second. 'She does not deserve to be treated this way, no, and it's time to change that' Alexander said to himself again. His rage approached the breaking point. 'Everything ends, here' Alexander finally said to himself. His eyes went white and his horn Glowed bright. Alexander shouted and everything around him was blown apart, a opening led outside, and held aloft by the pure magical energy of his rage he flew out. He made his way towards the castle 'it's time, for your reign to end' Alexander thought to himself. He approached the castle and flew through the wall, until he was in the exact middle. Alexander shouted again, but this time with much more power, vigor, and volume. The castle was blown apart sending pieces of it flying and tumbling to the ground. "WHERE ARE YOU?" Alexander screamed, looking over the rubble of the castle. He looked profusely and soon located the princess among the rubble. He flew down and pulled her out, pulling her back up to the air. She was unconscious, but wouldn't be for long. He stopped in the air and held the princess out in front of him. "WAKE UP!" Alexander yelled, the princess awoke with a shake. She looked at Alexander with a mix of surprise, and terror. She looked into his eyes, trying to use her powers to persuade him but she could do nothing all she saw was her death. "YOU THINK, YOU CAN JUST TAKE FROM ME? YOUR REIGN, ENDS HERE!" Alexander yelled, Princess Celestia was slammed to the ground, with force enough to scatter the pieces of the castle around her, and revealing the ground. Alexander pulled his scythe from the rubble, having it levitate to his hand. He flew down to her, lying on the ground, helplessly. "How does it feel, to have no power, and no one to save you?" Alexander asked, looking hard into her eyes. "Please, I'm sorry, don't" She begged, gasping for breath. "Oh, I would but, I see into your mind, you will live today but betray me tomorrow, no" Alexander said, he put his scythe underneath her back, and put his hooves securely around it. "IT ENDS HERE!" Alexander Shouted, ripping the scythe through her body, he pulled upwards, letting the crimson drip down his blade. In Princess Celestia's last second of life, she felt nothing but fear. Alexander looked down, the crimson blood poured out of her, covering the dusty ground. He turned around, walked forwards and sliced through the ground with his scythe. Lifting her up with his still raging magical energy, he placed Princess Celestia's body into the makeshift tomb. She lay delicately upon the bottom of it; Alexander was surprised that something so delicate and graceful could be so evil. He put the ground back where it had been and the princess was no more. Alexander turned around and moved towards the center of the castle again. He sat down and his eyes flashed bright, he was levitated into the air and the castle began to reconstruct itself around him. Once every piece of alabaster stone and marble had been put back, He floated back to the ground. "Luna" He said to himself, starting to look for her profusely. His eyes flashed again and he looked into the deep bowels of the castle. There, sitting in a cell, was Princess Luna, imprisoned by Princess Celestia. Alexander made his way down to the dungeon, but halfway through he was led through the chambers of the assassins. As he moved through it, 7 figures dropped around him. Alexander moved his hoof back and took his scythe off of his back. "I ended the life of your princess, I have no problem doing the same to you" Alexander said, holding his scythe in his hoof. "Yes, you killed the princess, but how about you try us?" Said one of them, jumping from the shadows. Alexander pulled the scythe up, impaling them in mid jump. All of the others looked at him in fear; soon variety stepped from the shadows. "You killed our last leader, that means by law we now owe our allegiance to you" He said, looking at Alexander, pleading for mercy. "Fine, but be gone for now, I will call for you when I will" Alexander replied, sending them all scattering. Alexander moved farther down until he reached the cell she was in. "yo-yo-you came" Luna said, standing up from the corner from which she had been sitting. "Yes, of course" Alexander replied. "And my sister, she's, dead?" Luna said questioningly. "yes, she now lies buried underneath the castle" Alexander said. "I suffered for years under her oppression, it-it-it's finally over?" Luna replied, moving towards the gate which held her inside. "Yes, all over" Alexander said. He took his scythe and slammed it into the door, knocking it in and letting the princess out. She rushed out and embraced him, holding him she felt safer, and loved. Alexander's eyes glowed white a final time and his eyes returned to normal. Alexander moved his hoof across Luna's face, looking into her eyes. "I love you" He said, simply, yet excitedly meaningful. "I love you" Princess Luna replied, looking into his eyes as well. Prologue "Come on! Or we'll miss the ceremony!" Said Heartstrings, looking at her friend Bon Bon. "Alright, alright!, let's go" She said, happily moving out from her house. They both made their way along the road to Canterlot, making small talk along the way. "Princess Luna is getting married correct? To a colt by the name of Alexander White Coat?" asked Heartstrings. "Yes, since the death of Princess Celestia the remaining princess must marry. Alexander White Coat is the groom, yes." Replied Bon Bon. "Well, this should be fun! A nice celebration after Princess Celestia's death, something to take our minds off it." Heartstrings replied. "Yes, especially after all her treachery had been discovered. Who knew that our princess could do such things!?" Bon Bon said "I know, but still, it's over now. She's no longer and from what I understand Alexander is going to remove many of her policies and meet with representatives to them in the interest of everypony!" Heartstrings replied happily. "Really? Well that's good! Finally, a reform with ponies in mind" Bon Bon said excitedly. They started to approach the royal city. The gates were opened and they entered into it. The entire city was abuzz; ponies were walking and talking everywhere, and all on one topic, the wedding. Trumpets sounded, signaling the start of the ceremony. Everypony looked to the balcony, overlooking the rest of the city. Alexander was standing there, overlooking everypony. He was in a very nice suit, obviously made by rarity. Princess Luna started walking up behind him, he turned around and smiled. The vows were said, and the pony presiding over the ceremony initiated that Alexander could kiss the bride. Their lips met and both held each other close. Soon the kiss was broken and they faced the entire city of Canterlot, they were all cheering. Luna looked over to Alexander, and kissed him once more. "I love you" Alexander said, as the kiss was broken. "I love you" Luna replied, and they faced the crowd once more. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 (An Old Enemy Returns) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 (An Old Enemy Returns) Applejack sat next to her family's apple processing machine. Although it was manually operated by Big Macintosh, it still needed maintenance. She picked up her wrench and started tightening the bolts around the machine. She put the wrench on the machine and got down low to check on something under the machine. Unexpectedly it started running. "What in the hay? Nopony's here, so who is working the machine?" Applejack said aloud. All of a sudden, her hair was snagged up, and she was pulled towards the apple juicer. She screamed, but was not heard fast enough, and her legs were crushed. Timpony ran inside and kicked the machine off with full force; He pulled Applejack out, who screamed in pain as her mangled legs were drawn out. Timpony lowered her down to the ground softly. She whimpered, and Timpony became very afraid. "Come on, let me bring you inside" He said, trying to comfort his wife the best he could. He picked her up and rushed her inside. He laid her in bed and sat next to her. "Go….go get Alexander he….he can probably do something about this" Applejack said. "But…but I don't want to leave you alone" Timpony replied, concerned. "I know but…..we need his help" She said adamantly, Timpony reluctantly consented and kissed her forehead before he left. He ran to the castle as fast as he could and barged inside the throne room. Alexander was sitting at his throne and immediately registered his friends face, but so full of anguish and concern. "What has happened?" Alexander said immediately. "Applejack's been hurt, she…she told me to come get you, you must help me!" Timpony gasped in desperation. Alexander stood up immediately and ran at full speed towards Timpony. HE grabbed Timpony and teleported them both to his house. Alex opened the door and looked at Applejack. "Well, you are looking a little bit worse for wear my dear" Alexander said, chuckling nervously. "That happens when a machine turns on for no reason and crushes your legs!" Applejack replied, extremely irritated. Applejack's eyes went white, and he looked Applejack over. "Well, the good news is, I can fix you up fine, the bad news is…..I have a very bad feeling about this whole situation and I don't know what it is" Alexander said. "I would appreciate if you would, ugh, do that now please" Applejack said, groaning with pain. Alexander's eyes glazed over again, but this time they were a bright red. Applejack's bones refused, and her skin healed instantaneously. Alexander finished, his eyes became normal again and he collapsed. He breathed heavily, but soon regained his strength. He got up and left them immediately. Timpony was very confused, as he looked at the door left ajar from Alexander's abrupt departure. Timpony looked back at Applejack and was relieved. He walked over to her and held her close to him. "Thank Luna you're alright" He said, brushing her mane with his hoof. "Why did Alexander leave so quickly?" Applejack said, noticing the open door and Alexander's presence being gone. "I haven't the slightest idea, but for now, it's 9:00, and I want to be right by you" Timpony said, smiling and kissing Applejack on the forehead. He slid into bed next to her, and held her close to him. He kissed her over and over, thankful for her existence. The Following Morning Timpony woke up and looked at Applejack. She had flipped over and now her closed eyes looked at him. He smiled weakly, and closed his eyes, but soon realized he had to get up and see what had happened to Alexander. He slid out from the bed as quietly as he could, and made his way towards the door. He exited his house and breathed deeply, then made his way towards the castle. The Guards almost tackled him until he told them who he was. "We are very sorry, Alexander has told us to let absolutely no one but you inside" The guards said, letting him pass. Timpony was extremely curious now, and ran to the throne room to see what was about. He saw Alexander leaving through a corridor who then passed a fleeting glance at Timpony but kept walking. Timpony slowly walked after him and proceeded to tail him back to where he was going. He entered a room but left the door ajar. Timpony slipped inside, the room was very dark so Timpony could stand freely in the shadows. "You have helped me before Derpy, I need your help once more" Alexander said. A grayish pony with Bubbles for a cutie mark and what seemed to be a lazy eye was veiled in a way very close to that of the Middle Eastern gypsies. "I can tell you what you wish to know, what is it you wish me to see" She replied. "Celestia, her spirit, I believe it to have survived, I need you to see if this is true" Alexander said. Derpy was solemn for a moment. "Fine, it will take a moment" Derpy finally replied. She closed her eyes, and after about a minute, she opened up her left eye and it looked straight at Alexander. It then started to dart rapidly, but then her eye closed once again. She collapsed and grabbed the table to try and lift herself back up. Alexander rushed to her aid and sat her on a chair. "I saw her, she…she told me…that she was coming for you" Derpy said, in between breaths. Alexander thanked her and left the room, but not without grabbing Timpony who he dragged out of the room. "You my friend have much to learn in the area of stealth, now come, work to be done" Alexander said, letting go of Timpony and beckoning him to follow him. Alexander went straight to his Armory and pulled out his scythe, he then ran out and made his way to another room in the castle. Timpony stopped him and whipped him around to face him. "What the bloody hell is going on!" Timpony yelled. "Celestia is back! Her spirit lived! That's why Applejack was hurt; she started the machine, SHE TRIED TO KILL HER!" Alexander shouted Pushing Timpony back and slamming him into the closed door behind himself. "A long time ago, almost immediately after the princess was killed, I created a portal to the world of death, but this was with the permission of death itself, I can't kill something already dead, unless I take over death itself! I need to enter the portal, take death's power, and we need to kill Celestia once and for all!" Alexander said, lifting Timpony up and placing him down on his legs. "And exactly where is this portal?" Timpony asked. Alexander motioned to a circle of bones that floated in the air. Alexander pulled his scythe back and slammed it into the circle, which caused a floating material of purple to grab onto the circle of bones. Alexander pointed to it. "That is the portal to the world of death, not of the dead but death itself" Alexander said, Timpony grabbed his shoulder. "Should you come back, I want to be the one to kill Celestia; she hurt my wife, made me break my vow! I have to be the one!" Timpony said. Alexander stood for a minute but smiled. "Yes, fine, the power of death will be embodied within the scythe, all you will need to do, is take hold" Alexander said. He turned towards the portal. "if I do not come back, get Luna as far away from here as possible, Alexander II as well" Alexander said finally, then entering the portal and disappearing behind the dark purple material that made it up. Alexander fell to the ground in a land of bones. He looked up and saw the black sky and grinned. 'I'm definitely in the right place' Alexander thought to himself. He looked around and soon saw the castle of death itself. He walked towards it and soon arrived at its bony steps. He walked up the steps and looked at the throne of bones, upon which sat death itself, with robes of pure black, and bones of pure white. "I know why you're here, and I know I am destined to lose the battle between us…but, that doesn't mean I can't try and change what I have seen" Death said, as Alexander walked towards the throne. Death jumped from his throne and whipped out his own scythe, as did Alexander. Alexander jumped into the air, where death grabbed him and pulled him down. Alexander rolled out of the way as Death slammed its scythe into the ground where he had once been. Alexander jumped up and slid under the pure white bones of death and slammed his scythe into its spinal column. He pulled his scythe back, severing the spine, went full circle and buried the scythe in the sternum of death and left it there. He ripped Death's scythe from his hands and pulled his own scythe out of Death's sternum. He held one in each hand and slammed the two together; the two scythes melded together becoming a doubled bladed scythe. Alexander lifted up the bones of death and ripped through every single one except for the rib cage which he let fall to the ground. When it hit the ground it cracked and opened up the cage that held the heart of death. Alexander picked it up and kicked it into the air, slamming his scythe into it with all force. It dissipated and was no more. Alexander slammed the scythe into the ground, creating a portal back to the land of the living. He was about to enter but looked back. 'It is said, that only death itself can destroy the world of death' Alexander thought to himself. He held out his; now double bladed, scythe and pure power ripped from it, destroying and decimating everything in its path. "I am death, and I say no more" Alexander said, turning around and leaving the world of death, which now was no more. Alexander exited the portal and was greeted by his home, the castle of Canterlot. Timpony was sitting in a chair on the other side of the room. He was shaken awake and looked at Alexander, and then looked at his newly formed weapon. "What the bloody…what happened to your scythe?" Timpony asked sputtering out his words. "Little upgrade, courtesy of Death itself, which really is I now, ha ha ha!" Alexander replied laughing happily. Timpony shook his head. "Alexander, you are the ONLY pony who could go into a completely different world, destroy its ruler and come back laughing!" Timpony said "Not to mention the fact that there is no world of death now, completely gone and decimated" Alexander said. Timpony's jaw dropped but he regained himself and shook his head more but suddenly realized. "I need that, it's my turn, Celestia dies by my hand" Timpony said suddenly. Alexander grew solemn and thought for a minute. "Fine, but be careful my friend, she is treacherous, if you do not see past her tricks you are doomed to fail. She can create other worlds you know, I made it so no one here can die, but no one knows that she's done in her world" Alexander replied, relenting. "I will not fail in this; she made me break my vow, now I break her!" Timpony said. Alexander let go of his scythe, and gave it to Timpony. Timpony took hold of it and made his way into the bowels of the castle. As he made his way, lower and lower into the castle he became weaker. 'You will fail' was being yelled at him from every angle. "WHAT ARE YOU!?" Timpony yelled. He collapsed and his body slid down the stairs, finally falling at the bottom. He woke and picked up his scythe, using it as a crutch to pick himself up. The spirit of princess Celestia embodied itself in front of him. Timpony grabbed the scythe and flipped it around. "Alexander may have been able to kill me, but you, you will not" Celestia said, smiling and invading Timpony's mind. Timpony grabbed his head and shook every which way. "Get out of my head!" He yelled, suddenly all of Celestia's invasions into his mind dissipated and all he saw was Applejack. Timpony stood up and Celestia looked in pure amazement. "No, No,NO NO NO GAH!" Timpony yelled, lunging at Celestia and slamming the scythe into her side. Timpony now invaded Celestia's mind and shouted at her. 'NO MORE, YOU MAY HAVE SURVIVED LAST TIME, BUT THIS TIME YOU DIE!' He repeated it over and over inside her mind. He kicked her off of the scythe and looked at her. She looked at him, helplessly. "You remember now, don't you? what it felt like, looking up at the pony who was going to kill you, and knowing there was nothing you could do about it" Timpony said, smiling as she lay near her breaking point on the ground. 'BREAK!" Timpony screamed into her mind, Celestia screamed and huddled herself up. Timpony bent down and had his mouth inches from her ear. "This is what happens, when you try to hurt the ponies I love!" Timpony said, lifting his scythe up as high as possible, and slamming it into the center of her spirit. "NOW YOU BREAK!" Timpony yelled, Celestia's spirit dispersed and became no more, Timpony then collapsed. He fell into darkness, and blacked out .He awoke, in Canterlot castle, he looked beside him and Alexander was sitting on a chair, looking over Timpony. "We had almost given up hope! Welcome back friend!" Alexander said happily. "What…What happened?" Timpony said confusedly. "Celestia is gone, forever, you won my friend. Actually, that gift you got at your wedding, the diamond, that now holds Celestia's soul you know" Alexander said, recalling what he had seen when venturing down into the bowels of the castle to retrieve Timpony. He recalled picking up the broken pieces of Celestia's spirit and placing them in the diamond. "Why is it in the diamond?" Timpony asked. "Diamonds have that ability, they can hold souls and spirits, but it took one that big to hold Celestia's" Alexander said, putting his hooves together and resting his head on them. Luna walked in and rubbed her hoof on Alexander's back, he grabbed her hoof and held it. Applejack walked in as well and went next to Timpony. "It's over, all you need to do now is rest" Applejack said, comfortingly running her hoof along Timpony's back. Timpony moved his head towards hers and kissed her, then laid his head back and fell back into the darkness of sleep. Alexander stood up and left him and Applejack and walked out to the hall. He stood for a while until his son walked over to him. "What has gone on father?" Alexander II asked, looking at his father seeming very confused. Alexander looked thoughtfully at his child. "Alexander, one day, you will learn that there are powers and things that even I do not understand, a great enemy was defeated this day, who can no longer threaten the freedom of equestria" Alexander finally said. His son took this answer but was still obviously confused, although now to a lesser degree. Alexander looked out the window and continued to for a time, 'It's finally over' He thought to himself. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 (New Lands) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 (New Lands) Alexander walked out from his room, going to his boat home. 'Such a long time away, it'll be good to go home' Alexander thought to himself. He walked to the deck and looked out to the land across the sea. The boat pushed off and the sails were unfurled, home was his destination. "You've been here for a while, what makes you go back now?" Asked a pony from the land he'd just set sail from. "My own country needs me, across the sea is a beautiful land which I have the privilege of ruling. I also have a beautiful wife at home as well" Alexander replied. "A ruler, of an entire land no less! And you're wearing a simple turban, gown, and no shoes?" Replied the foreigner. "I was never one to be high and mighty; this garb is fine for me." Alexander said, straightening his turban a bit. "Where did you get that weapon? It seems extremely outlandish, even for here" The foreigner replied. "That is a lengthy story, one I will not utter here. All you need to know is it is very sharp" Alexander said laughing. They soon pulled into the port at Canterlot and Alexander was the first one off. He walked slowly, taking in every aspect of his home. He soon came to the castle doors and was greeted by his son. "Father! You're home!" Alexander II said, slamming himself into his father's knees. Alexander laughed as he was knocked to the ground. "What is this? You must have grown a mountain's height in my absence! Here, a present that I picked up while I was away" Alexander replied, taking out a small box and setting it on the floor. Alexander II looked at it, analyzing its every inch; he soon discovered the lid and flipped open. Inside was a small blue sapphire. Alexander II looked at it and flipped it around; on the other side was emerald. He then looked to his father and smiled. "Thank you father" he said, soon he turned around and saw his mother in the corridor. "Mother! Father is home, and he brought presents!" Alexander II said, looking towards his mother. Luna walked out and smiled at her husband and then her son. "Yes, it seems he did! That's a nice present he got for you" Luna replied, walking towards them. Lots of questions hanging in this chapter, all will be answered in Alexander 5! (at least most of them) "I have something for you as well" Alexander said, taking out another box and handing it to his wife. "Thank you ever so much darling" Luna said, opening the box. She removed an ivory crescent moon, which hung on a chain of platinum. "It's beautiful…so beautiful" Luna replied, near tears. "It changes with the phases of the moon, some magic I learned while I was in Constantinople" Alexander said. "So I take it that is where we shall be going?" Luna said "Yes, it's a peaceful enough land, and you and I both know it's getting dull here" Alexander replied. "I know, but still, I will remember this place for all my days, too bad it won't be our palace anymore. Oh! You never told me, who will take over?" Luna said, concernedly. "Timpony and Applejack will, I've been ruler for a very long time, he shall take my place" Alexander replied. Luna was relieved and looked back at the castle wistfully. "Come now, new lands wait" Alexander said, they all started to walk back towards the boat, Alexander, Luna, and his son. And they made their journey, back to Constantinople. Alexander looked over the open sea as the great lands of Constantinople appeared over the horizon. "We shall be there in about an hour" Alexander said happily. Luna smiled as well. "I hope it's as good you have told in all your stories" Luna said playfully. "It surely is, it may be even more so to you" Alexander replied laughing. Another pony came up to him and looked him over. "Your attire is Persian, but your accent is not, from where do you come friend?" Asked this new pony. "You are correct, I hail from equestria, the land across the sea" Alexander replied. "Ah, but that is not your country of origin, I can tell" said the new pony. "You are correct, I am from Harmany. Might I ask of your name sir?"Alexander said eager to know this new pony. "My name is Suleypony" Replied Suleypony "Very nice to meet you" Alexander said. "Likewise, now, I can guess as well that you were some monarch where you came from, a warlord perhaps?" Asked Suleypony "A monarch yes, and yes I had my fair share of wars but I do not enjoy them as a warlord may. Bloodshed is nothing to celebrate. I served my people well, I was tolerant of all people, and if I have failed in my duty to that country, then die I shall" Alexander replied. Suleypony smiled. "That is the attitude of a very good ruler, and this was all told to me from your clothes, your voice, and that weapon upon your back" Suleypony said. "Really? Well, you must be some sort of scholar then" Alexander said "I try" Replied Suleypony simply Alexander looked over to the shore and saw they were pulling in. Alexander was very surprised 'what, did we hit a wind gust or something?' he thought to himself. As they pulled in and things were being taken off the ship, Suleypony helped Luna with some boxes. "A scholar and a gentlecolt, you are full of surprises my friend!" Alexander remarked laughing. "It is true; perhaps I will see you around the city equestrian! Farewell" Said Suleypony I. Alexander waved goodbye to his newfound friend. He then turned to his wife and helped her with some more things, he then took her hoof and gestured his hoof across the whole city. "Isn't it just beautiful?" Alexander said "Yes dear, yes it is, I long to see where we will be staying" Luna said happily. "Yes father, this city is so very large; it would be good to know where home might be, ha!" Alexander II said laughing. "It is not too far my son, come, it is very near in fact" Alexander replied, looking at his, now 15 years of age, child. He took his son and wife along with him and took them on a little tour of Constantinople on the way to their house. They soon came to a large villa, complete with Persian and ottoman structures, as well as fine rugs imported from the Safavid Empire. Luna and Alexander II were breathless. "This is amazing" Luna said, her voice trembling. "I take it you enjoy it" Alexander replied, smiling. "I love it darling, this place will certainly be our new home" Luna said, smiling as well. "I'm glad, I must go get one more thing in order, but you can both get settled" Alexander said, kissing Luna and leaving. He walked to the dock where he had gotten off, but he was stopped by a pony in relatively local clothes. "Ek habik alak! Are you the one whom I search for, the mentor who has been sending me letters from equestria? Alexander…la la la." Said this seemingly fanatic pony. Alexander frowned and nodded. "Alexander White Coat" he replied, with a passive aggressive tone. "My apologies, I never understood that…Harman gibberish" Replied the pony. "It is the name of my family, the White Coats, in all truth my name is Alexander, but I keep the rest as respect my family" Alexander explained. "Ah, so in that case, I would be, Sanskrit….asana Hebe?" said Sanskrit with a questioning tone. "If that is your family's name, then yes" Alexander replied, smiling. "Yes...I like that, ha ha ha!" Said Sanskrit, laughing in delight at his newfound name. "I'm glad you enjoy it, regrettably, I must go, I have something to attend to, my wife awaits me at home, and I have something which I must do" Alexander replied. "Say no more, go, do what you must, we will be in touch?" Sanskrit asked. "Yes, of course" Alexander said, taking leave from his friend. He walked towards the shore, and saw his Timpony standing there. "So you decided to come did you? I had thought you and Applejack would have enjoyed the throne?" Alexander asked jokingly. Timpony turned around joyously and hugged his friend. "Ah, my friend! Alexander! It is good to see you! Applejack and I have not seen you for years! You did not even inform us you were going to stay here! Had I not seen you out the castle window whence you left, I would have never been any wiser to where you would be!" Timpony said, Hugging his friend, and shaking him about. "I am glad to you see you as well Timpony, I regret not being able to tell you. I was going to send letters soon, perhaps I should have told you. Anyway, where is your wife?" Alexander inquired. "She has yet to come off the boat, but she will be along soon…alas, I lie! Here comes my beauty now!" Timpony said, walking past Alexander and embracing his wife. Applejack looked over Timpony's shoulders and saw the back of Alexander's head; he then turned around and smiled. As Timpony let go of her, she raced to embrace Alexander. "Oh you old fool! Why didn't you tell us you were leaving?" Applejack asked. "I'm sorry, I was going to tell you" Alexander started to answer. "Never mind that, you must meet our daughter!" Applejack said, interrupting Alexander's answer. Alexander looked towards the ship, where a small filly walked towards its mother. A mixture of its father and mother, in a single baby filly. She pulled on her mother's leg, who then quickly scooped up the foal and held her close. "Robin, this is your Uncle Alexander" Said Applejack, Robin looked towards Alexander and smiled, but seemed shy. She was a mixture of her father's green and her mother's orange, with wings that showed her to be around 9 years of age. "Is this the pony you told all of those stories about mama?" Asked Robin. "Yes love, yes it is" Applejack said happily. Robin looked in amazement at Alexander, who smiled warmly at the foal in her mother's arms. He ruffled the little foal's hair, and then turned to its mother and father. "I'm sorry to go so quickly, but there is something I must do. Please, Luna must want to speak to you both" Alexander said, embracing the two of his friends, and then leaving. He walked along an alleyway and soon was greeted with the sight he had been having premonitions of. He remembered the dreams, somepony, another ruler, taking innocent ponies and torturing them, simply for himself. Alexander looked over to a pony in regal robes, walking down the street. He saw his intent, and it was not good at all. The pony kicked another one begging on the ground, Alexander walked menacingly towards him, as he kicked the pony again. Alexander whipped the scythe off of his back, ripped it in two so as to have one in each hand, and buried them in the guards on each of his sides. He ripped them out and kicked them both over. "NOW YOU! THIS IS NOT HOW A KINGDOM IS RULED! YOU TORTURE YOUR PEOPLE, AND THEY CAN DO NOTHING" Alexander pulled both of his scythes back, melded them back together and went to slam it into the pony that had been hurting the beggar. But he was stopped, by some invisible force. Alexander slowly walked backwards. "What are you?" He asked "Me? I am the true ruler of this land, a tyrant you might say. Suleypony took what was truly mine. I see you are strong, but none but the gods can kill me, for I am unable to die" said the pony, smiling a demented smile. "Neither can I, but know this, as long as I live, I will not stop looking for a way to kill you" Alexander said. He then turned around and walked away. "Is this true? I defy you! Bring what you will, no pony can kill me!" Said the pony in the regal robes. Alexander ran back to his own house and closed the door behind him, he was out of breath, and quickly sat down. "What has happened to you dearest? For the love of me, Speak!" Luna said, very concerned about Alexander. "There…there is a pony here….that says he is the true one to rule…but he is a tyrant...He seeks to destroy the ponies under his protection...Not help them….he must be stopped, but he cannot die...and I don't know how to kill him..But he must die…for there to be peace in Constantinople again" Alexander said. Luna was very concerned, more so with Alexander, than what he had been explaining. Suddenly an idea struck her. "I was reading a legend of old, which is often told here. Perhaps it might help. It is said that a king would come to ravage the people, and in these desperate times, a pony would gather the power of the gods at each of their temples, and become a god themselves!" Luna said. Alexander looked up slowly at his wife and smiled. "My wife and my savior, this legend, does it speak of where the temples are?" Alexander asked. Luna thought for a moment then ran to get a book and opened it on the table in front of Alexander. She looked through it like scholar reading ancient texts. "Yes, but it's extremely vague. There is one in every compass direction, the north, the south, the west, and the east" Luna said, seeming disappointed. Alexander's eyes went wide then he started to speak rapidly. "There is a temple in my home country of Harmany, it was built in honor of the god of the north, which must be it" Alexander said, happily clapping at his triumph. "Yes, you're not going to go alone, do not think that for a second. I'm going with you" Luna replied, seeming extremely intent. "Dearest…I know what happens when you get like this…..I still have the scar, alright, you will come with me, but Alexander II must stay here. Of that there is no doubt" Alexander replied, remembering the last time he denied his wife. She was his love, that is true, but he respected her word as well, especially after the incident. "Yes, he will have to stay with Applejack and Timpony, come, and let us be on our way" Luna said. She walked over and picked up her son, explaining to him that his mother and father were going to be gone for a while. Alexander II seemed to be fine with it, and was happy to spend the time with his aunt and uncle as well as his new cousin. They brought him over to Timpony's home and explained to him what they were going to be doing. "How long do you believe you will be gone?" Timpony asked Alexander "We have no idea, within the month though" Alexander replied. "Go with speed my friend, and be careful" Timpony said cautiously "Yes my friend, I will" Alexander said. He left the house and headed to the docks, along with his wife. Alexander told the boatman where he was going and they set off. Luna stepped behind him and put her hooves around him. "Though this may not be the most romantic journey we've ever been on, I look forward to seeing your home" Luna said. Alexander held onto her hooves and slowly stroked her hair as her head twisted around his neck a bit. "It is a beautiful land, I'm sure you will enjoy it" Alexander said. "But it's quite cold, you'll have to stay close, so as not to get too cold" Alexander said jokingly picking up Luan and twirling her around a bit. They looked forward as he stopped and beheld a land appearing on the horizon. "That is my home, my land, it is where I came from" Alexander said looking at the familiar snow topped peaks of the mountains. The rolling greens of Harmany's land spread farther than his eyes could see. "I've never seen a land like this, I never really traveled outside of Canterlot, this is the first time I've ever even seen the Nordic region of Equestria" Luna replied. "It really is a nice place, come, we going to dock" Alexander said, as the boat pulled into a harbor and was tied into it. Alex departed from the boat, followed by his wife, and they both walked off of the dock and into the nearby town. They walked until they neared a tavern and Alex entered. He walked up to the barkeep and Luna watched as they spoke together in the language of the land. Alexander walked back to Luna but passed as if she were not there. She became extremely concerned and followed him outside. He walked two steps but threw away his scythe which landed a few feet from him and collapsed on the ground. Luna ran right next to him and tried to pick him up but he remained on the ground. "What's happened? What is going on?!" Luna yelled at him. "My father…he died….I…I was supposed to get the letter today I guess" Alexander replied. Luna was taken aback, then held Alexander close. "Come, isn't the wake today? I believe that is your custom" Luna asked. "Yes, that is true, my village is not a mile from here, let us go" Alexander said getting up and moving towards the sign that said 'Skyhilm' and pointed down a path. He started to question his choice to keep immortality only for him and his family, perhaps he could have kept his father alive. As he fell deeper into his thoughts he came to the village faster then he realized. He immediately recognized his house which was now freshly painted black, as was the custom of a death. He walked towards his house and knocked on the door. His mother looked through the window and saw her son, then hurriedly opened the door. His mother fell into him and held him tight. "Oh Alexander! Your father…he….he told me you would come here, he was right!" Alexander's mother said, tightening her grip round him. "Mother…I'm so sorry…I…I should have been here" Alexander replied, tears welling up in his eyes. "Nonsense, you were about, there was nothing you could have done, come inside, please, and bring your…….oh sweet white coats of old, who have you brought with you! Is that who I think!?" His mother said, now looking in Luna's direction. "Ah yes, mother, I had meant to make a trip down here soon to formally tell you, but I guess this must suffice. Mother, this is my wife, Princess Luna" Alexander replied. His mother blinked a bit, looking at Luna, then back to Alexander, soon her eyes went wide. "I heard bits and pieces of what happened in Canterlot, there was a new king, Celestia had betrayed her people, and the new king had killed her, buried her underneath the castle and rebuilt it above her body. But…but I thought this was all legend! Was….was….was that you?" Alexander's mother asked. "yes mother, I am the king of equestria, the one who brought celestia to justice, come let us go inside, I will explain more" Alexander said. His mother moved into the living room and sat down, Alexander did as well, and his wife sat next to him. He proceeded to explain all that had transpired, the killing of celestia, and also all that had happened since. "Yes but that does not explain, why are you here, now?" Alexander's mother asked. "There is a king, in Constantinople; the only way to stop him is to take something from the temples of each of the gods. I really don't even know what, but I know there was a temple built to the god of the north here, so this is where I came" Alexander replied. Alexander's mother had tears well up in her eyes. "My son, has become the king of an empire, and is the greatest ruler in its history! I'm so proud of you!" Alexander's mother yelled, grabbing onto her son. Alexander smiled, and then looked at his mother. "I must be going on my way, I will be back mother, I promise" Alexander said, letting go of his mother. She waved to him as he went out the door, followed by his wife. HE turned back to his house slightly, and whispered to himself. "I will be back, father" Alexander said to himself, then walking away. Luna walked with him, and looked around the scenery of the path that they walked along. "Exactly where is this temple?" Luna asked. "Not a mile ahead, this path was built for pilgrims going to the temple" Alexander replied. Luna nodded then looked forward. She saw the spires of the temple appear over the hill. Snow kissed the roofs and its tops were engulfed in ice. Alexander looked at it and knelt down, bowed his head for a moment, then stood up once again. Luna looked quizzically at him. "Sorry, tradition is when you approach the temple one is to bow before the god of the north" Alexander said, explaining his actions. Luna complied and bowed as well, then moving on. Alexander took hold of the giant door that held the temple shut. "VIN KAH, MOR DO GAH, SHIM LAK MAR NAD!" Alexander shouted at the doors, they started to glow a dark purple, then a blue, and finally white. Then the doors slammed open, and Alexander looked inside, the high throne stood in the center, the monks of the temple long dead. A large voice boomed through the temple. "I AM NORDIN, THE GOD OF THE NORTH, I KNOW WHAT YOU SEEK, BUT YOU MUST FIRST PASS THE TEST" Said a seemingly source less voice. But soon an extremely large figure dropped from the ceiling and the ground thundered as it hit the floor of the temple. "YOU MUST FIGHT ME! ONLY THEN ARE YOU FOUND WORTHY!" Yelled Nordin, glowing white with the snow of the mountains, his skin pure ice. "I have heard the legends of your dealings with the Nordic ponies, it will be an honor to fight you" Alexander said, Nordin nodded and pulled out a large hammer. Alexander jumped forward and slammed his scythe into the handle of the hammer as it slammed down. He was pulled down but used the momentum to fly himself under the god's legs. Alexander pulled the scythe behind him to the point where he could not see it. He ripped it in front of him, cutting the cold wind itself, and slamming the scythe into Nordin's leg and ripping him down. Alexander jumped upon Nordin's chest, which blistered like the mountaintops of snow. He slammed the scythe far into his chest, then pulling it towards himself. Nordin smiled and looked at Alexander. "YOU HAVE PROVED YOURSELF WORTHY! I GIVE YOU THE RIGHT OF ONE WHO HAS CONQUERED MY TEMPLE, YOU SHALL HAVE MY POWER! ONLY WHEN ONE HAS COLLECTED THE POWER FROM ALL OF THE GODS, CAN YOU BECOME AS WE ARE! YOU'RE NEXT DESTINATION, IS THE WESTERN TEMPLE, VENTURE TO WESTMINSTER, THERE YOU WILL FIND A TEMPLE, BUILT TO THE GOD OF THE WEST" Nordin said, then bowing to Alexander and transferring a fraction of his power to him. Alexander felt the power course through his body, his blood began to glow and he was raised in the air. His whole body shook with power, until he finally stood on the ground again. He bowed to Nordin and turned back to his wife. Luna had an expression which was a mix of surprise, relief, anger, and happiness. She walked slowly towards him, slapped him across the face, and hugged him tightly. Then her tears began to fall upon his shoulders. "Promise me, promise me you will never scare me like that again" Luna said. Alexander remained silent, but stroked her mane and held her tight. "You know I cannot promise that" Alexander replied. Luna consented and let go of him, but holding onto his hoof. They walked out from the temple, and walked down the ice ridden path down back to the villages. As they walked a large piece of ice started to fall and was impending to hit them both. Alexander, with his newfound power, held the ice in midair. The ice began to crack, and soon it blew apart. "How did you do that?" Luna asked. "Must have been Nordin's parting gift" Alexander replied. "Well, that should definitely come in handy here in Harmany. To Westminster now?" Luna asked, holding put her hoof. "To Westminster" Alexander replied. They both began to slowly dissipate and soon disappeared altogether. They reappeared in the streets off of Troddingham Castle. Meanwhile back at the villa in Constantinople "Come on uncle Timpony, let us go have a picnic" Alexander II pleaded to his uncle. "Alright, Alright, but be careful, this is a new land after all" Timpony replied, consenting to his nephew's pleading. Alexander II jumped with joy. He walked over next to a hoofchair where he grabbed a basket, loosely lined with a red and white checkered table cloth. Robin walked to the door and waited for Alexander II. He walked towards it and they both left together. They walked down a path that stretched to an aromatic garden. Alexander took the table cloth off of the basket and draped it across the ground. He then set out the plates for him and Robin, put out the food, and finally sat down. Robin sat rather close to him, which, at his age would creep out most colts, he seemed content. They talked and talked, sometimes of childish things (likeable to 15 and 16 year old ponies), sometimes of their parents, and a little about each other. "So you're the son of the king of equestria, most likely have his power as well, and you're quite as a mouse, what gives?" Robin asked of Alexander II. "I just don't talk a lot, I don't know, I also get a bit nervous around...never mind" Alexander II replied, obviously nervous. "Well, there's no reason to be nervous around me, our parents are friends after all" Robin replied, trying to make Alexander II a bit less nervous. "True, well, what about you? Your mother and father are nobles, what do you do?" Alexander II asked. "I cling to my mother mostly, other ponies scare me a bit, except you of course" Robin replied. Alexander II blushed a bit, but loosened up as well. They talked a bit more until they both fell asleep. Robin slept, her head lying on Alexander II's shoulders while Alexander's head, lay on hers. Robin woke up the following morning, but her head did not lie on Alexander II's shoulder, but now on the ground. She looked around and saw him being carried away by very large ponies. She stealthily stood up and quietly began to follow them. They walked for quite a ways until finally arriving at catacombs near the castle. As she peered down the hall of the catacombs where Alexander II was being dropped, she felt a force hit her head, then dark. Back at Westminster Alexander and Luna walked along the sidewalk, talking to each other as they walked along. Soon coming to Westminster Abbey, the pair walked inside and looked around. "Now, according to what I've read, this was once a temple to the god of the west. There is supposed to be a test, but where?" Alexander said, looking all over the building. "There's something here, it's something written on the wall" Luna said, beckoning Alexander over to her. He walked to see what was written on the wall. A message was left by the god of the west herself. "A riddle it seems" Alexander said, looking at the wall. The wall read, those who here doth tread, read here unless thou hath read, for you must answer this riddle to pass, without any help from yonder lass. Alexander was surprised that the gods of old knew that he would have his wife with him. The riddle was what pony loves more than life, Fears more than death or mortal strife. What poor ponies have, the rich acquire, and all contended ponies desire. What Misers spend and the Wastrels save, and each pony carries to his grave. Alexander thought long and hard about the answer. Suddenly, it dawned on him, "Nothing." The part of the wall that the riddle was written on began to blow. Within seconds, a door magically appeared and opened slowly. Alexander walked inside and his wife walked with him as well. A voice whispered to Alexander, You have passed my test, come, walk further, the voice said. He walked until he saw another high throne, there sat the goddess of the west. Alexander bowed and then stood. " My name is westfalia; you have passed my test, and thus, have earned what I due. Take what power I can spare" westfalia let her power be released and Alexander absorbed it, his body rigored as it had before, only now his blood glowed blue, not white as it had before. It soon started to die down and his skin regained its original white. "Your next test, it resides in the south, in the great sand deserts, lays a temple, built to Sud, the god of the south" Westphalia said to Alexander. He bowed silently to her, and turned to leave. He looked at Luna and smiled. "Well, I've had to fight a god, solve a riddle of a god, who knows what's up next?" Alexander said, chuckling as they left. Luna smiled as well and shook her head, my husband, the one pony who can talk to the gods and come away laughing, Luna thought to herself. They walked outside and it began to rain, they both took their leave rather quickly, as they dissipated into thin air. Meanwhile Back With Alexander II and Robin Alexander Woke up, groggily trying to sort out his surroundings. He looked around, trying to figure out where he was. OK, I'm in some kind of confined space, a cage maybe, and…what the hell? Alexander thought to himself, he had bumped into something, and it was not the confines in which he sat. It felt familiar, he reached down and shook whatever it was. He heard a groan in a familiar voice, soon the groan formed into words. "Wha, Where am I? Where's Alex?" Robin said, trying to look around. Alexander cast a light spell so as to see. Robin covered her eyes at first, but they adjusted to the light and she looked at Alexander. "Oh thank goodness, you're alright!" Robin said, grabbing onto him. Alexander II fell over as she tackled him. "I'm glad you're alright too, we're in a box of some kind, I have no idea what it is" Alexander II replied. "Well, I guess all we can do is wait, maybe this is just a misunderstanding" Robin replied. Alexander II agreed, but silently he knew, that that was not the case. They both sat and waited, talking to each other. "I just want you to know, if we don't make it out of this…" But before Alexander II could continue his sentence, he was abruptly interrupted when whatever it was they were being kept in was opened. Robin and Alexander were promptly snatched up and carried. They were walked to a guillotine, where the king of Constantinople stood. "Your father is causing me problems little one, I think it is time I sorted him out" Said the king, raising the guillotine. "So now, I think I will make his friends pay first" The king said, beckoning the one holding the two ponies to give Robin to him. As the Exchange was made, Alexander II felt power rush through him, and all he saw was red. Back with Alexander and Luna Alexander and Luna appeared in the middle of a seemingly desolate desert. Sand wafted from the ground as the wind kicked it up. Alexander took a veil and put it on his wife. "It will keep the sand out of your eyes" Alexander said, as he adjusted it so Luna could see well. Luna smiled behind the veil and thanked her husband. Alexander also put on a turban that wrapped around his face so sand could not get in his eyes either. The pair began to walk to the southern part of the desert. They both walked for a good hour. As they kept walking, a large temple began to materialize over the horizon. "We're almost there!" Luna said, rejoicing in what she saw. Alexander scanned the image over the horizon to make sure it was not a mirage. He concluded that it was not, and he and his wife ran towards it. They neared the doors and they took shelter from the sands behind the walls that surrounded the doors. Alexander began to take off his turban and Luna removed her veil. As they both discarded their veils, Alexander Collapsed, and seemed to kneel. Luan rushed towards him, but he grabbed onto the wall next to him and pulled himself up. He looked towards the northeast. A large wave of raw power rolled towards them. "GET BEHIND A WALL!" Alexander yelled, tackling Luna and bringing her behind a wall. A large amount of sand was kicked towards them but they were safe behind the wall. As the power died down, Alexander walked out and looked to where it had come from. His eyes became white and he was able to see what the source of power was. "What do you see?" Luna asked. Alexander stood silent for a moment, then had an expression of surprise on his face. "That was our son. He had been imprisoned, they tried to kill Robin. His power is remarkable" Alexander said. "Our son?! My child did that?!" Luna yelled back. Alexander nodded. "We must get back there, come, we must get through the remaining temples as fast as possible!" Alexander said, kicking open the doors of the temple and rushing in. Luna rushed in behind him. Sud immediately showed himself and explained his presence. "YOUR SITUATION GROWS DIRE, I SEE IT, THERE IS NO TEST HERE, THE FIRST TWO TEMPLES ARE MEANT TO TEST YOU, THE NEXT ARE ONLY TO CONVEY YOUR APOTHEOSIS. MY POWER IS NOW YOURS, GO TO THE EAST AND TAKE YOUR FINAL STEP" Sud said to Alexander, relinquishing much of his power to him. Alexander was raised into the air and his blood glowed a golden color, that of the sand. Sud bowed to Alexander and Alexander did the same. He turned back and made his way out of the temple, Along with his wife. They teleported immediately to the east, now racing against time to get back to Constantinople. 1 hour earlier- Alexander II and Robin Alexander II's body rigored with power as his body became engulfed in flames. His eyes were an enflamed white, and he grew flaming wings. He looked at the two guards holding Robin and jumped towards them. He pulled Robin from their hands and kicked one of them into a wall, the other; he held in his hooves then threw into the same guard in the wall. He then looked at the king. "You can't kill me!" Yelled the king in defiance "NO? MAYBE NOT, BUT I CAN CERTAINLY TRY!" Alexander II yelled back. He jumped towards the king, bending himself to avoid his arms and landing a strike that's sent him through a wall and flying out into the city. He then fell to the ground and ran back to his castle. Alexander II began to calm down and looked at Robin. "Are you alright?" he asked. "Yes, I'm fine, but we need to get out of here" Robin replied. Alexander II agreed and sprouted his flaming wings again. The pair jumped through the hole that Alexander II had created by kicking the king out from the catacombs and they flew back on their way home. Robin Kissed Alexander II as thanks for saving her, he smiled in turn and kept flying towards their home. Current time- Alexander and Luna Alexander and Luna appeared in front of a large building, with large E and an arrow on it. It had very old architecture and was nestled deep in the eastern mountains. "This is as far as the eastern compass direction is able to go" Alexander said. "Let us go inside, so we can see what waits" Luna replied. Alexander agreed and walked inside followed by Luna. He was greeted by a hooded by pony, who bowed to him. "I know why you are here, come, your test waits. Your wife must stay here" Said the pony. Alexander turned to Luna, but she nodded and said for him to go. "You must pass the final test, go, I will be here" Luna said. Alexander walked to her and held her close. He kissed her and finally let go, moving with the hooded pony. As they moved along, Alexander noticed many doors alongside them. "What is this place?" Alexander asked. "This is the temple of the east; the rooms that line this hall are for all of the monks that still remain here" Replied the hooded pony. "I take it you are one" Alexander said. "Yes" replied the monk simply. Before Alexander could reply they came to an extremely large door. The monk labored to open it, but soon it was wide open. "You must withstand the voices of all the gods, only then will your apotheosis be made whole" Said the monk, beckoning Alexander to go inside. He nodded and walked inside, and the monk closed the door behind him. As the door closed, every one of the gods appeared before him. But only the god of the east spoke first. "We are to administer your final test, and only then are you ready to become god among pony" Said the god of the east. "I am ready" Alexander replied simply. The god of the east nodded, and then gestured to the other gods. They then all began to yell their message. "YOU ARE US, WE ARE YOU. YOU ARE TO BECOME A GOD; WE ARE TO GIVE YOU THAT POWER. WITH THIS POWER, DESTROY THE KING THAT TORTURES HIS PEOPLE. VILE, VILE, VILE KING, NOW TO BE SLAIN BY GOD! BURN, FREEZE, DROWN, POUND HIM, THEN ONLY CAN HE DIE! WE, THE GODS HAVE SPOKEN!" Yelled the goods in synchronization. As they finished Alexander regained his composure, and remained unscathed. All of the gods looked at him in surprise. Then the god of the north bowed, thus the other gods followed. "You have brought honor and pride to your people. our power now goes to you" Said the god of the north. Every one of the gods began to disintegrate, and the powder that they left was then transferred to Alexander. The power of all of the gods transferred to him, yet he remained still, while his body glowed of raw power. He looked to the sky and yelled out. His voice became raw power and shook the foundation of the temple. He then turned back and yelled at the door to open, which it did extremely quickly. He ran down the hall, then coming back out to where his wife stood. She looked at him in surprise. "No time to explain, all I know is I'm a god now, we must get back to Constantinople!" Alexander said, taking hold of his wife, and holding her as he leapt out of the temple entrance and flying towards Constantinople. Arrival in Constantinople Alexander flew down to Timpony and Applejack's villa and walked through the door, letting Luna down. Timpony and Applejack looked at him in fear as they realized what may happen due to them losing his son. "I know what has happened, my son is flying back right now, do not worry" Alexander said, he then turned to Luna. "You must stay here, you've been with me thus far, but I must go now, I will be back, I promise you" He said to her. "Where are you going?" Luna asked, now distressed. "When Celestia came back, she put all of her enemies in a place called the abyss. I am going to go there and see if I can acquire an army" Alexander replied. Luna grasped onto Alexander and held him tightly. "Do come back quickly" She said simply, then letting him go. Alexander nodded, then turning back towards the door and flying off on his newly sprouted white wings. He flew towards the northeast, off the shores of Equestria. Once arriving there he looked around for the island which he was searching for. Soon, he located it and flew down, arriving at the mouth of a cave. The barriers that once protected the islands had since died out, due to its caster now being dead. Alexander entered the cave and began to walk into the bowels of it. Soon he located the first prison cell. "is anyone in there?" Alexander asked, his scythe now held in his hand, ready for a swing. "Yes, it's me, princess Cadence!" Yelled a voice back, walking from the darkness. "How am I to know you are not queen chrysalis, and a fake" Alexander replied. "Because, this is queen chrysalis" Replied Cadence, beckoning for another figure to come near her. Queen Chrysalis walked out from behind the darkness as well, and saw Alexander standing behind the magical cell door. "Outside being! Release us, I beseech you! The princess and I have been here ever since Celestia imprisoned us, please helping us" Chrysalis yelled from behind the transparent cell door. "I can only do that if you promise to help me fight. In Constantinople, a king masses his army against me, I need your help" Alexander replied "Of course!" said Queen Chrysalis. Alexander's horn glowed and the door was destroyed, Princess Cadence and Queen Chrysalis walked out and both of them thanked Alexander. "I understand why you were imprisoned Chrysalis, but why were you imprisoned Cadence?" Alexander asked. "When Celestia came back, I sought to leave the castle and find Luna with my husband……When we tried to leave…Celestia….k-k-killed Shining Armor, then took me here!" Cadence replied, crying as she relayed the tail "Go, go to Constantinople, Luna will be there, stay with her, I will bring your husband back" Alexander said, putting his hoof on her shoulder. "How?" Cadence replied, looking almost angrily at Alexander. "You don't know my power, now go" Alexander said. Cadence went to walk out of the cave, then Alexander called Chrysalis to him. "I know what happened to you, I understand you love shining armor, but she does love him, I cannot take him from her to give him to you. I am sorry" Alexander said. "I….I understand….I will learn to love again someday…." Chrysalis replied. She seemed to cry, but no tears were shone. She then left as well, thus Alexander made his way farther down the cave. He kept a steady pace until finally stopping at an extremely large cell, which had one next to it that was much smaller. Alexander looked to the smaller cell and pried it open. "Who is here?" He inquired, looking around. "Who are you might I ask?" Replied a voice from inside. "Alexander White Coat" Alexander replied. The voice gasped and suddenly, discord showed himself. "Is it really you? Oh joyous day, you will free me won't you?!" Discord said, jumping in front of Alexander. "Of course, but I need your help, back in Constantinople, a force rises to fight me, you must help me" Alexander replied. "Of course, I would repay you in any way, if this is all I must do, then well!" Discord said, then flying out of the cave. Alexander looked towards the large cell and looked curiously into it. He then pried it open and walked inside. Whipping out his scythe, he looked around. "Who dwells here?" Alexander said, looking around. He saw, crumpled in the corner, a white figure with flowing hair. "It can't be….Princess?" Alexander said, looking in disbelief. Princess Celestia slowly got up And looked at Alexander. She looked extremely weak and nearly collapsed as she stood up. "Who…Who are you?" The princess asked, looking confusedly at Alexander. "You have no idea what's happened do you? Come, you're free," Alexander replied. "I…I can't walk…this place…it drains my power…you must get me out of here" The princess said staggering to get her balance. Alexander walked over and draped her over his back. He ran at full speed out of the cave until finally seeing sunlight again. "It will be long for me to regain my power, where are we to go?" Princess Celestia asked. "Constantinople" Alexander replied, sprouting his wings once again and flying off. Celestia sat quietly on his back as he flew at top speed towards the city of Constantinople. Soon it appeared over the horizon and he began to turn down, soon landing in the city. "Your sister is at a villa here, she will explain everything to you, I will take you there" Alexander said. They walked along the streets, her power had come back now to the point that she could walk. He knocked on the door of the villa and it was opened. Luna looked in shock at her husband and her sister. "I have no time to explain, so I will let your sister, I must go, but I will be back, I promise" Alexander said, then sprouting flaming wings and flying towards the castle. Luna looked confusedly at Princess Celestia then towards Alexander as he flew away. She couldn't help but laugh, and bring her sister inside. Alexander arrived at the castle and slammed through the door. The king stood, looking directly at Alexander as pieces of the stone door flew past him. Alexander smiled an almost maniacal smile. "You take my son, torture your people, and persecute me and my wife!? how do you think you're not going to die?" Alexander said, looking furiously at the King. "Easily" replied the king simply. Alexander flipped out his scythe and ran towards the king. The king tried to block but was pushed out of the way as if he were a fly. The king looked at Alexander in a mix of terror, rage and confusion. "What…WHAT ARE YOU!?" He yelled, getting up and taking out two scimitars. He jumped at Alexander and sliced rapidly at him. Alexander spun his scythe around, blocking every single blow and soon landing a kick on the king. He was thrown back onto his throne, where h then slid awkwardly down from. "I tire of humoring you" Alexander said, raising his scythe. He slammed the king into the air with the back of the scythe, and then knocked him back down again. He then stood him back up, and slammed the scythe into him once again, hitting him into a wall. The king fell slowly from the wall and looked up at Alexander in terror. "UPON THEE STANDS A LOFTY CROWN, WHICH NOW IS RIPPED FROM THY BROW!" Alexander yelled, slamming the razor sharp scythe into the king's chest, flipping the scythe around, and then pulling out through the opposite the king's body. He then slumped down before him and finally, died. Alexander's rage subsided and he regained his original form. He looked out the window and jumped out from it, landing back in Constantinople's streets. He then turned and walked home. As he neared the villa, the two children ran out to meet him. Alexander embraced his child, and Applejack and Timpony ran to catch up to their own. Luna and Celestia walked out from the villa as well. Alexander let go of his son and ran to meet his wife. "I take it you two…spoke while I was gone?" Alexander said in a questioning tone. "Yes, yes we did. I thank you immensely for bringing me back to my sister and that much more for eliminating the impostor that once ravaged my land. I would never ask you to relinquish the throne to me after all that you have done and all that has transpired, but I would like to join you. Whatever adventures you may go on, I wish to go along, as sister to your wife and sister in law, to you" Princess Celestia replied. Alexander nodded understandingly and turned to his wife. He embraced her immediately and held her close, then he began to sing softly to her. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 (Under Rule) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 (Under Rule) I warn you, please read my other fan fiction (Alexander White Coat) before reading this one, if you have not, things in this fan fiction (characters, scenes, etc.) may seem weird to you. You have been warned Alexander white coat woke up, he sat in his bed, still, but conscious. He looked over, and Luna's covered eyes greeted him. He smiled, he had been with her for 12 years, yet he loved her no less. He got up, and moved out of his bed, ready to face another day as ruler of equestria. "Up already, dear?" Luna said, stretching her hooves as she woke up. "Yes love, why? You need something?" he replied, looking back at her. "No, I'm alright, the baby's fine too" She replied. Alexander smiled and made his way out of the room, leaving Luna to sleep. Ever since he met her, ever since princess Celestia's betrayal, he had known he loved her. "Good Morning sir, how are we feeling today?" Said his loyal friend and advisor, Christopher. "Very well! What's on the agenda for today?" Alexander replied. "You have a meeting with a representative from Ponyville in 2 hours, then that's about it, there is a mysterious traveler who requested audience with you. Didn't say his name, anything" Christopher said. Alexander pondered over the traveler. "Mentioned nothing of himself?" Alexander questioned. "Yes, just asked for your audience, he said, there were questions that needed answering" Christopher replied. "Alright, I might as well eat, can't be talking with an empty stomach, ha! You know how I sound on an empty stomach" Alexander replied happily, he liked mysteries and this traveler had certainly peaked his interest. "Of course sir, I will call on you when the representative arrives" Christopher said, bowing low. Alexander waved him off, he disliked the reverence they showed, he was like any other pony, just with more power, which he used wisely. Christopher walked away and Alexander entered the grand dining hall, and then proceeded to the kitchens. 'Ah, my favorite place' Alexander thought to himself. He set to work, smiling as he made his own breakfast 'I'm sure all the other monarchs would rather die than make their own breakfast' He thought to himself chuckling. As he finished what he was doing, he set out his food and sat down. He ate slowly, as he loved his own cooking almost narcissistically. Once he was done, he decided it was time to get into royal garb. 'Hm, the armor or just the clothes….he he, choices choices choices' Alexander thought to himself. "Sir, the pony from Ponyville is here" Said Christopher, entering the room. "Ah, well then, I guess the clothes then ha!" Alexander replied jokingly. He made his way towards the drawer and threw on his royal garb. He walked down towards the grand hall, and stood by his throne. "I thought you said he was here?" Alexander questioned. "He was, just a second ago…" Christopher replied. "I'm here, my apologies, I was looking at the books a bit" Said Twilight Sparkle, walking from behind a corner. "Ah yes, well, I shall leave you to discuss matters" Christopher, bowing out. "Yes, that would be best" Alexander said. Christopher left and Alexander looked at Twilight. "Why do you seek me?" Alexander said. "You know exactly why" She replied hotly "What do you want?" Alexander replied, still calm. "I want answers, what happened to Princess Celestia, WHAT HAPPENED TO MY MENTOR!" Twilight yelled back, enraged at his calmness. "DO NOT RAISE YOUR TOUNGE TO ME!" Alexander shouted back, shaking the very foundations of the castle. His horn glowed and all of the doors in the halls were locked. He moved slowly towards Twilight. "She was evil, you refuse to acknowledge this, I showed you exactly what happened yet you still do not believe me, what other proof do you need?" Alexander said, looking down at Twilight, as she cowered in fear. "I wish to take the vision from you, when I saw it you gave it to me, you could have tampered with it, so I want to see it with my own power" Twilight replied. "Fine" Alexander replied. Twilight's horn began to glow and a small purple disc fell to the floor. She picked it up, and closed her eyes, the scene unfolded, no different from what Alexander had showed her. Twilight saw it all, Celestia Imprisoning Alexander, him breaking out, and his foreseeing of Celestia's Betrayal if he had let her live. She dropped the Purple disk and collapsed on the ground, as she fell the purple disk dissipated and fell back into Alexander. "Do you see it now?" Alexander asked, helping her to get up, she did not reply. "I'm sorry, this must be hard for you" Alexander said, regretting his shouting beforehand. "I was taught to trust her, you must understand that..." Twilight replied weakly. "I know, she took control, as she always had" Alexander said. Twilight looked weakly at him. "I'm sorry to have troubled you with this all these years" Twilight said, now standing strong once again. Alexander waved it off. "Go now; go home, there is no reason to dwell on this. As always you are welcome to my assistance" Alexander said, walking back to his throne. "I will, Rainbow expects me home in an hour" Twilight replied. "Good, that would be best. I'm sure she's worried about you" Alexander replied. He remembered the wedding, he watched from afar, as he had not been invited. Rainbow and Twilight, seemed happy, the first of his former colleagues to become married, Alexander chuckled at the thought. Twilight left and Alexander walked back to his throne and sat down. "Christopher, where are you?" Alexander said, looking around confusedly. "Behind the bloody locked door!" Christopher yelled, rattling the knob of the door he was stuck behind. "Oh, he he, my apologies' Alexander replied, unlocking the doors. Christopher walked inside in a huff, but soon regained his composure. "I really wish you hadn't done that, I could have at least helped" Christopher said. "Some matters needed tending to, now, when did this traveler say he would arrive, I wish very much to meet him" Alexander said. "He said it very cryptically, he said 'when the sun kisses the horizon in red'" Christopher replied. "That's sunset, hm….very intriguing" Alexander said, looking out the window towards the sun. "We have 20 minutes!" Alexander exclaimed. "Yes, and?" Christopher replied confusedly. "Not much time at all ha ha!" Alexander replied. Christopher nodded, but looked over Alexander's shoulder. Alexander turned to see what he was looking at, and soon beheld his wife. Although somewhat bigger due to the pregnancy, Alexander thought her no less beautiful. Her dark blue hair, draped over her side, her pronounced body, and most of all, her face. Adorned with a purple bluish horn, was the most beautiful thing Alexander had seen to date. 'And I've been from here to the other side of equestria multiple times' Alexander thought silently laughing to himself. "I thought I had better get out of bed, if I was to ever!" Luna said, walking towards her husband. "You shouldn't be concerned about that, you need your rest after all" Alexander replied, smiling at her. "True, but still, I like to see you" She replied. Alexander walked towards her and took her hoof in his. He laid a kiss on her forehead and gently rubbed her stomach. "I like to see you too, the both of you" Alexander replied, smiling even wider. Luna smiled as well, their lips met and stayed that way for quite some time. As her lips enveloped his, he couldn't help but feel a sense of ecstasy. As the kiss broke Alexander held Luna, gently running his hoof along her mane. "I love you" She said, resting her head upon his shoulder. "I Love you as well, both of you" Alexander replied, placing a final kiss on her forehead. She left his embrace, although regrettably, and waved to him as she left back to her chambers. Alexander sighed happily and sat back down in his throne. He looked back towards the door and put his face to his hoof and chuckled. "Christopher, you can come out now" Alexander said, laughing even louder. Christopher walked out, somewhat embarrassed. I don't think I'm going to try and advise at all on what just took place" Christopher said rigidly. Alexander roared with laughter. "Ha ha ha! I think you're right in that course of action." Alexander replied, trying to stop laughing but failing. "You can laugh sir, but we still have one more appointment" Christopher said, silently chuckling as well. "Ah yes, the traveler, he still hasn't…" But before Alexander could finish his sentence he was greeted by a sight across the room. A Hooded figure, but visible was a sword and a parasprite that seemed to be following him around. "You certainly are a sight friend! Tell me, what brings you to my court?" Alexander said, looking intrigued at the traveler. The traveler ripped of his cloak and stood in the light. A large red pony stood in front of Alexander, he had white strips along him as well, but only one that went fully around his body. His cutie mark was three gold triangles, held together and making another in the middle. One triangle however was brighter than the others, glowing lightly. "You were told that I would be coming?" Questioned the traveler. "Yes, please, what is your name friend?" Alexander replied. "My name is Timpony, I come from Hyrule, perhaps you've heard of it. Nopony else has." Said Timpony. "No, I can't say I have. But still, you have not answered my own question, what is it you seek here Timpony? "A dark pony, with a black intent has come to this land. His name is Gannon, why he has come to this land and his intentions for it are unknown to me, but he destroyed my own home, I'm sure he will do the same here". Alexander was concerned, but held his calm demeanor. "What can we do to help?" Alexander replied. "I've actually located him already, my problem is, I cannot do it alone. Even though I possess this sword, it cannot kill him alone. Another weapon must fight alongside it" Timpony said. "And you want me to fight with you?" Alexander replied, surprised. "Yes, I've heard the tails, how you decimated this castle, killed Celestia, and rebuilt it simply out of sheer, raw, magic power. Not to mention the fabled scythe" Timpony said, hoping for Alexander to help him. Alexander sat, contemplating his options. "I will think on..." But before Alexander could finish his reply a white pony, donned in armor ran inside. "Your majesty! Dark armies gather at the gates, what are we to do?" He said, kneeling before Alexander. Alexander stood up immediately. "Christopher! Get Luna to safety now! We fight!" He yelled, then starting to run towards his armory room. A room he had not visited for many years. Alexander walked in and looked around, his armor was still in good shape, and he started to put it on. As he put it on he looked towards the back of the room, there in a great glass case stood his scythe. The weapon that had ripped the blood from Celestia's body now entered his hands once again. He took it from the case and flipped the blade downwards, pulling out the blade. "You're going out to fight, aren't you?" Asked a voice, from the door. Alexander turned towards the door, and beheld his concerned wife. "Yes, You will be brought to somewhere safe, I promise you, I will return" Alexander replied, walking towards her. "When will I see you again?" Luna asked "I will see you, I will stay with you, soon before the baby is to be born" Alexander said, slowly rubbing her stomach in his gentle touch. She kissed him, and they walked out of his armory together. "We must go! They prepare to attack as we speak!" Yelled Timpony. Alexander shouted at Christopher to take Luna away immediately. He then left the castle, to meet the invading force. 3 Hours Later Alexander walked over the gates, and looked at the army that lay outside. "What business do you have here?" Alexander shouted. A very large and dark pony, cloaked in a black cloak stood up and looked at Alexander. "We seek Timpony! Our quarrel is not with you Alexander!" Replied the dark pony. "What do you want with him, be it evil he will stay here, be it good I will relinquish him to you!" Alexander said, wary of whoever this might be. "He possesses something that is mine! I simply wish to claim it!" Replied the dark pony. "I shall speak with him, do not attack our walls, for now let us be friends" Alexander said, walking towards Timpony. "Did you take something from this pony?" Alexander asked him. "No, it is the other way around! He took the triforce from my home; however his heart is not whole enough to wield it so it broke into pieces. He claimed the triforce of power, I received that of courage, and somepony, somewhere has that of wisdom" Timpony replied. Alexander understood this, and walked back to speak to the dark pony. "Who are you?" Alexander asked. The dark pony walked forward a bit more and Alexander noticed his features. He was large with red hair, as well as a red tail. His cutie mark was that of a triforce as well, only the lower left side was glowing. "My name is Gannon. I tire of waiting, give me timpony or we attack!" Gannon replied. Alexander was angered by this, such an ultimatum by such an evil pony. "I refuse! Archers now!" Alexander yelled, arrows flew and much of the army that was reachable fell to the ground. Gannon ran back to the outskirts of the army. 'Coward, this will be over soon and your head on a plate!' Alexander thought to himself. He ran towards timpony. "We must lead them!" Alexander said. "Yes, let's go!" Timpony replied, setting towards the carriage that sat at the front of the army. They made their way towards it and climbed on it. Timpony raised his sword, and Alexander flipped out his scythe. "CHARGE!!" They yelled in unison, the whole army pushed on behind them, and so they met the dark forces halfway across the expanse on which they were to fight. The armies met and swords clashed, Alexander and Timpony jumped out of the carriage, and began to fight as well. The equestrian army ripped through the army of Gannon, eventually making its way to where he stood. Timpony walked towards him, and slammed his sword into Gannon's. They fought for quite some time, but soon Timpony brought Gannon to his knees. "You have only delayed the inevitable…..the history of light and dark will be written in blood…" Gannon was going to continue, but Timpony raised his sword and whipped it around him, slamming it into Gannon's neck. His head rolled off, and he had no life left in him. Timpony inhaled deeply, and exhaled, he turned around and walked towards Alexander. "Thank you my friend, you have done me a great service in helping me, Gannon no longer endangers your people. Go home, I believe you're going to miss something if you do not" Timpony said, putting away his sword. Alexander understood his meaning and started to walk home, but stopped. "Would you perhaps like to come? Someone else to see my child born would be nice" Alexander said, looking back towards Timpony. Timpony thought about this, then smiled and walked towards Alexander. "Of course" He said. Alexander disappeared along with Timpony. He reappeared in the hall of the castle, and ran up the stairs, making his way to Luna's room. Timpony ran along with him, Alex soon came to the room, and slowly opened the door. Luna had not yet given birth, but was near. Alex walked over and held her hoof in his. "I'm here, don't worry, I'm here" He said, running his hoof along her hair, comforting her. Timpony stood by, admiring as Alexander held her close. 2 Hours Later Luna sat quietly holding her child, A small colt. Alex sat next to her, holding her as well as the baby. Timpony sat across from Alexander. Alex looked at him thoughtfully. "Thank you, my friend, thank you" Alexander said to him. "What are we going to name him?" Luna asked, looking lovingly at Alexander. "Hm, what were you thinking?" Alexander replied. "I thought, him being a colt, we should name him after his father" Luna said, looking down at the colt in her arms. "My son, Alexander II, I love it" Alexander said, placing a kiss on the baby's forehead, then Luna's. "But who shall be the godfather?" Luna asked. "Well..." Alexander started to think, and then he looked towards Timpony and smiled. "How about our friend here?" Alexander asked, pointing towards Timpony. "Yes, if he agrees to it of course" Luna replied. Timpony was taken aback, but soon regained his composure. "I would be happy to" He said. Alex thanked him, and looked back towards his son. He held him in his arms and started to sing softly.
