Adagio was sitting on her bed and was trying to brush her huge orange hair. It wasn’t an easy task.
After their defeat all three of them had to find a job to pay their bills. They were lucky, because one of the biggest cosmetics companies was looking for something like experimentally rabbits for hair cosmetics but in human form.
Adagio continued fighting with her hairbrush, but then cracking sound shattered her concentration. She moved her hairbrush in front of her eyes. All she saw was one half of it; the other half had to be stuck in her hair.
Her blood started boil as she yelled. Then she threw the handle out of open window.
“Ouch!” Quiet and shy voice said from the outside.
Adagio stormed out of her room. The door shut behind her with a thud. All the way to the living room she was trying to get the other half of the brush out of her once beautiful hair.
The oldest siren elegantly stepped over Aria’s menthol skateboard. However after three steps she stepped on something slippery and fall back on the skateboard, which started to move towards the stairs. Adagio was uncontrollably rushing downstairs. Once she finally got there she crashed with a loud scream into a stack of books.
“Dagi, are you okay?!” Yelled Sonata and ran to her older sister. She started carefully taking books off of her.
“Yes Sonata, I am okay.” Adagio huffed and slowly sat up. Her head was hurting.
Adagio looked at Sonata and her brain stopped working “What the-” She started, but then she quickly covered her mouth with one hand. “Forget about it.”
“You mean my hair?” Sonata pointed at her head. “Aren’t they great? It is as big as yours now!” She was right; her hair was now huge, to say at least.
“No Sonata, your hair is way bigger.” Adagio said in shock.
Before Sonata could say something else the main door loudly opened.
“Calm down Aria, you can’t look worse than me.” Adagio smiled when angry footsteps were coming closer to them.
“You think?!” Aria yelled when she stormed into the living room. Her hair looked like it just got hit by lightning.
Her sisters looked at each other before bursting in laughter.
“Ari, it looks like some bomb exploded in your hair. Isn’t that right Dagi?” Sonata asked without breath.
“Yes, it does.” Adagio answered and wiped tear of laughter from corner of her eye.
“Oh, shut up!” Aria hissed. “Is that half of hairbrush in your hair Adagio?” She lifted a single eyebrow.
“You already know the answer.” Adagio rolled her pink eyes.
“You did it Ari!” Sonata squeaked when Aria after long time finally managed to get the brush out of Adagio’s hair.
“I can’t take this anymore.” Sighed Adagio and she buried her head in a pillow. “We need a plan.” Then she stood up and made her way upstairs.
Aria and Sonata exchanged confused looks.
“I have a plan!” Adagio yelled from her room upstairs.
Younger sirens looked at each other their looks were full of worry; their sister has been in there for a few hours now. They started walking up the stairs.
Aria without knocking opened door to Adagio’s room. Adagio was staring into a mirror.
“Adagio, are you OK?” Violet siren carefully asked. Her sister was like an angered bull when she didn’t feel alright. Aria quietly closed the door behind her and she caught part of Sonata’s hair in it.
“I have never been better, my dear sister.” Adagio smiled evilly and lifted the mirror, which she threw right in Aria’s direction.
Aria somehow managed to catch it, but the mirror was heavier than she has expected. She lost her balance and fall backwards. As she was falling she hit Sonata, who has already escaped from the door. Both of them fall onto the floor.
Sonata quickly got her legs free and she rushed next to Adagio. Two sisters started digging through secret shelf, behind the mirror.
Aria was trying to free herself from the mirror as well, but the mirror was too heavy for her. She lay back down. All she could do was listening to her two sisters.
“Look what we have here, vampire blood?” Sonata sounded super happy to dig through weird magical stuff.
“No.” Adagio flatly answered.
“What about this?” Sonata tried her luck one more time.
“Maybe…?” Said Adagio, but her tone was saying no.
“Is this zombie meat?” Sonata sounded like she was close to a heart attack.
“Yes, it probably is.” Unlike her Adagio was super calm about it.
“Why do you have it?” Sonata’s grossed out voice could be heard one more time.
Aria tried to stand up once more. This time she has succeeded and could finally join her sisters.
“Dagi what is this?” Asked Sonata and handled Adagio small mirror with shiny gold frame.
“It’s a mirror. Can’t you see?” Adagio sarcastically answered.
“I mean, I can see that. But I thought it would be something more than just that.” Sonata shrugged and handled the small mirror to Aria.
“I don’t want it, put it back in there.” Aria hissed at her younger sister.
“I got it!” Adagio turned around with a big smile plastered on her face. Her smile disappeared when she saw her sisters fighting over the mirror. “Give it to me.” She ripped the mirror out of Sonata’s hands. “Now guess what have I found.” Her smile returned.
“I don’t want guess.” Aria all annoyed growled.
“Well then.” Adagio rolled her eyes. Yellow siren showed her sisters something that looked like a perfume. “Aria, you will be the first person to try it.”
“What?” Aria asked and looked at the bottle. The etiquette read: “This potion has the power to give everyone the most beautiful hair. However the creature with Goldilocks curse will have very different outcome.”
“Don’t read it, it’s not important.” Adagio took the bottle from Aria.
“Adagio you are dead to me.” Was all Aria had time to say before she got sprayed by the mysterious potion. In that moment Aria disappeared in cloud of golden dust. When the dust disappeared, other sirens gasped in surprise.
“How do I look?” Aria asked her voice was full of worries and slight anger.
Before any of her sisters had time to response, she ran toward second mirror in the room. She sighed in relief. Her hair looked beautiful. She had shiny purple hair falling almost to her waist. It was stained with menthol and gold highlight.
“Now it’s your turn Sony!” Adagio smiled evilly and lifted the potion.
Sonata didn’t have chance to protest before the golden dust surrounded her. Dust was quick to go away this time and the youngest siren looked at her sisters. Her eyes were filled with expectations.
“You are just the worst Sonata! Why do you have short hair and I have to take care of all of this?” Aria playfully poked her sister with her elbow.
Sonata smiled and looked into the mirror. Her smile grew wider as she did so. Her hair was falling like a blue waterfall on her bare shoulders.
“Get out of my way!” Adagio pushed them aside and walked in front of the mirror. “Now you will see the most beautiful hair in Equestria and this world as well.” With this she closed her eyes and she sprayed herself with the potion.
Golden dust one more time disappeared and Adagio opened her eyes. Now she could finally see the glorious hair of hers. What she saw however didn’t meet with her expectations. Her loud scream filled their house.
Aria broke into hysterical laughter while Sonata on the other hand was just standing there and was staring at the oldest siren having a mental breakdown.
“Are you okay?” Sonata asked and took a step toward Adagio.
“No.” Adagio whispered. None of the sirens have seen her in this state. Not even after The Battle of The Bands was she this shattered.
“It’s not that bad.” Aria stopped laughing. “You just don’t have any hair.” She said in serious tone.
