//-------------------------------------------------------// Demon Soul Pony Heart -by dramize the feral- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// prologue part 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// prologue part 1 Deep in the depths of Tartarus deeper than any guard had ever been in thousands of years a demon was wandering the prisons forgotten halls he was a prisoner forgotten by time feeding off whatever living thing was dumb enough to cross his path. (Close to the front gate.) Ten solar guards four unicorns, four earth ponies and two pegasi were escorting prisoner a pale gray unicorn mare with an long and wild sapphire mane and tail. A shiny iron ring was wrapped around her horn blocking her magic and heavy chains were connected to her legs and neck. Her left eye was covered by an eye patch with the same symbol as her cutie mark a skull that had two knifes stabbed through it. The guards were in formation and moved carefully with the earth ponies holding the chains that held her legs while two unicorns behind her levitated their spears keeping them pointed at her neck  while the unicorns in front did the same and while one pegasus held the last chain the other was ready to dive down and cut her head off so they watch her with all ready to kill until they reached the front gate and they visibly relaxed. "Ahh there you are I was starting too think you guys wouldn't show." Said a unicorn guard as that was sharpening his weapon. "So she's our new guest. Welcome to Tartarus  your new permanent home." the gate opened as soon as he finished talking and using his magic he picked up the mare and brought her inside where two guards flanked him as the gates closed behind him. They moved pass Cerberus who was napping in front of Tirek's cage and kept going until they hit a second gate. "Our new guest is here open the door and lets make her feel welcome." "AY SIR!" yelled what sounded like twenty guards from the other side of the gate. The gate opened to reveal hundreds of guards all armed to the teeth staring at the mare with hungry anticipation. The mare was still and she use her good eye to look around seeing the open black castle while wondering what they were waiting for that's when she fell and the captain of guard walked up to her and she heard the gate shut. "Ok now listen here bitch your now in Tartarus so your our guest and we've never let a guest leave well not in one piece anyway, so realize this is a death sentence so we're gonna take off your chains and then I'll give you ten seconds. you can ether stand and fight a losing battle or run in to the prison and try to escape us while we hunt you down for a while. ether way you will die so lets have some fun with it." Said the captain of guard with an small smile as he held her head with his hoof. "Go to hell." Said the mare before she tried to spit in the captains face but when she tried the captain let her head drop and smacked her. "But I'm the king of hell, your hell.  Ok it's time set her free and read her sentence." The captain said walking away the guards closed in with and unlocked the chains around her legs and neck while one guard read from a scroll. "The criminal known as the gray death has been charged with over fifty counts of murder, breaking and entering as well as theft how did you plead?" Said the guard finishing just as her inhibiter ring came off. "Guilty as charged." The mare said getting into a charging stance. "Good, now finish up so we can get started. "Your sentence is, life in prisoned in the depths of tartarus. "Well then lets get this party started. 10.... 9.... 8." The Captain started counting and the mare dashed into the only place she could. into the castle but when she entered and looked around to see the only she could go was down the stairs into the darkness and she wonder if that was a good idea. 3.... 2.... 1. ITS HUNTING TIME!" Realizing she had no more time she ran down the stairs lighting up her horn for light as she went deeper and deeper but she could still hear the guards on her tail she hit the corridors dashing down them as fast as she could but when hear the guards getting louder she realized she was slowing down she couldn't keep this pace for much longer but she still had to keep moving. "I've got to find a place to hide so I can set an ambush or at least rest for a bit." She said to herself looking around trying find safe place to but that when she saw a rusted silver gate in graved with a spell locked with even more degraded silver chains. "This might be the break I've been looking for." Snapping the chain she crossed the gate and ran for a few minutes before hitting a dead end. She heard the gate snap closed. "End of the line time for you to die." Said a voice. the mare turned a round and found herself cornered by three guards each holding a spear towards her "No no I'm not going to die here I still have more ponies I want to kill." "Such blood lust is unbecoming for such a gentle race." Said a mysterious voice then all the light disappeared leaving everyone in a darkness that seemed to swallow everything then behind the mare three eyes opened up giving off a soft yellow light as their cat like pupils stared at the guards who froze and started to back up. giant shining white teeth appeared under the guards and next thing the mare knew the guard were gone and the voice was back. "Who are you little pony that holds so much bloodlust?" The mare was paralyzed by the fear she felt but she managed to answer. "I am Ash Garden." "What a lovely name for a lovely mare." The darkness condensed into a mouthless pony like creature his fur was jet black and his hoof had claws coming out of them he had dragon wings with small razors on the end of them and axe like horns his eyes were sharp all three of them watching Ash as she nervously stood like a statue. his tail long and thin like a whip with a sharp looking spade. "You can calm down I'm not going to eat such a rare flower of your kind I am one of the eight the demon lords that terrorized Equestria. Enigma and it is a pleasure to meet you." (Three years later.) "So mom, is that how you met dad?" Said a voice belonging to a young colt "That's right my little demon now get some sleep you and your sister need it if you want to grow big and strong." Said Ash as she lean on Enigma falling asleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue part 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue part 2 (Five years later.) "Come on Phantom it's time to get up, dad is going to teach us demon magic to day." Said a young filly with light orange fur and light pink mane. she had two small gazelle like horns that leaned on her fox ears her hoofs had small paw like nubs on them and she had light pink three fox like tails her cat like eye glowed a sinister purple as she was poking a navy blue colt with a black mane laying on a pile of bones. he had small axe like horns and dragon wings with small razors on their edge, small claws on his front hoofs and a serrated whip like tail. "I'm up, I'm up calm down Ember your going to wake up mom." Said Phantom opening his cat like eyes which glowed red as he stretched out on his pile causing a skull to roll of the pile without ether of them noticing causing it to hit Ash who was resting next to the pile. "Oh right let's go." Said Ember a little quieter. "Phantom Blade, Ember Dagger where are you two going?" Asked Ash without moving. "Were going to meet dad in the lower corridors." Said Phantom as he finished stretching. "Oh yea your demon magic lesson is to day isn't it. Well I'm not going to stop you,  go and have fun, just stay away form the bad ponies that have been wondering around here and the silver gate." "Ok momma." They both said before running to a near by staircase meeting enigma three floors down and next to him was ten tied up knocked out guards. "Little ones before we start I've two presents for you both." Said Engima. "PRESENTS!" Both foals said excitedly "Yep that's right now as you know I am a demon lord and since your my progenies you both get two demon servants." Enigma raised his fore hoofs and slammed them creating two portals behind him and from those portals a black and a blue orb popped out black orb went to Phantom and the blue orb went to Ember circle both of them before transforming. The black orb turned into a changeling with giant red bat wings, long antenna and a white fur around It's neck and gray eyes. The Blue orb changed into a panther with a rows tendrils coming of its back. "Phantom Blade this is your guardian and servant, Loveless." "Pleasure you meet yea, sugar I just know well have lots of fun together. Said the Changeling as she moved and laid next to him. "And Ember Dagger your Guardian and servant, Life Bane." "Hello lady Ember I swear to never leave your side." Said the panther as the tendrils  on his  back wrapped around him and turned into armor. Ember and Phantom were stunned speechless but their father continued "Now you second gift which ties into to todays lesson." from the portals a necklace with a bottle hook on it and a tiny satchel  emerged  the satchel went to Phantom and the necklace went to Ember then Enigma closed the portals and brought three Guards over. Ember, Phantom shake off the surprise it's time to learn." "Yes Papa." Said both half demons focusing on what Enigma was going to say. "Those items I gave you two are very important they allow you to store souls." "Souls?" Asked Phantom with new interest "That's right. Today I'm going to teach you how to take the souls from others now close attention because its a little tricky." Enigma took one of the guards and stared at the pony. "First you focus on your target use your eyes to read them to read who they are and it means to be them." Enigma's eyes started to glow as his stare got deeper Then Phantom and Ember each moved to a guard and did the same thing as their father and just stared until they saw it a the ponies light up which in turn caused Phantom's eyes to glow red and Ember's eyes to glow purple. "Good now let your darkness reach out and condense the soul." Enigma's eyes changed they narrowed as waves of demonic energy invisible to anyone without demon blood flowed from him battering the guard causing the light Enigma saw to condense in to a small ball. This time it took the kids a longer but after a few minutes the waves started to come off them as well. "And finally just reach in and take the soul." Enigma reached out with his claw hoof and it sunk into the guards chest and after a second he pulled out with the soul in hoof leaving the empty guard to sit their but when kids tried it the guards screamed waking the other guards Phantom was holding his guard's heart and Ember was holding a lung. "Darn we messed up." Said Phantom with a disappointed tone. "Hahaha I didn't expect you to get it on the first try that's why we have multiple test subjects but that was a good try." Enigma said with a happy tone but then he heard a soft rumbling. "Did you two eat?" "No daddy." Said Ember rubbing her stomach. "Then dig in." Ember and Phantom both bit into the organs they were holding consuming them before starting on their test subjects. "Speaking of eating you can eat the souls you collect to make your demon sides stronger." "Cool." Phantom said licking the blood of his mouth with little luck before going back to finish the dead guard below him. (Ten years later.) "Ok Dad set them up we're ready."  Said the older Phantom as he got in a crouching position his longer tail was waging slightly the razors on his wings extended a little bit as well his more forward pointing horns glowing a soft crimson along with his eyes. "Are you sure? This will test everything you learned from me and your mother. Theirs no shame in holding off." "Quit your babying dad, just shut up and set up." Said the older Ember who was sitting up next to her brother letting her huge tails shift around as she looked down her new forward pointing horns which like her longer back horns were glowing a soft purple just like her eyes. "FINE THEN!" Enigma yelled as he stomped his foot the hallway divided Phantom charged down his hall jumping spikes that came from the walls flying when the floor disappeared and using his wings horns and tail to cut and slash thing in his way until finally he reached the guard at the end of the hall speeding up he stretch out his wings as much as possible the guard raised her spear and readied to attack then she blinked. Phantom appeared behind her holding her soul which he quickly popped in his mouth and swallowed. Meanwhile Ember walk down her hallway while she summoned will-o-wisps to bring the guard at the end of the hallway to her the guard stepped lightly dodging the trap in his trance until he met Ember in the middle who had been dodging the traps set for her still entrance he stepped forward and she leaned in and kissed him for a second before pulling away with his soul in her mouth which she swallowed before burning the body to ash. "Clear." Both siblings said at the same time which allow Enigma to turn the hall back to normal that's when they saw the guard mare's husk was still standing. "Brother your wings." Ember said walk past her brother and hitting him in the back of the head with one of her tails. "Oh right." Phantom said rubbing the back of his head as he closed his wing and retracted his razors and as soon as he did the standing husk was shown to cut cleanly in half. "One day I will find out who you do that." Said Ember as she and Phantom walked to meet Ash to get their dinner. //-------------------------------------------------------// Freedom //-------------------------------------------------------// Freedom (Two years later.) "Today is the day my little demons. Are you ready to see the outside?" Said Ash with tears in her eye as she hugged her son and daughter as they stood at the charmed open silver gate. "Yes momma were ready, but are you sure about us leaving you two here?" Said Ember as she and Phantom returned the hug. "Yes Ember your father has been alone for so long and since he can't leave I've decided to become a demon and stay with him." "Ok then Dad anything else you want to add? Before we go through the gate, head top side, kill and take the souls everypony that stands in our, and finally release that thing you called Cerberus to cover our escape." Phantom listed as he broke free from the hug. "Have fun, here's a mirror that allows you to contact us if you need advice and be carful."  Said Enigma "Got it, ok lets go." Phantom said as he and Ember dash out the room with empty saddlebags on their back with their guardians starting to follow. "Loveless, Life Bane." Called Ash as she looked down the hall where her children had just left. "Yes lady Ash." Both demons answered as they bowed to her. "Watch over my babies and stay under everyponies radar." "Of course lady Ash." And with that Both demons took their leave following the scents of the two half breeds that went before them crossing the silver gate and turning into animals Loveless into a small white vampire fruit bat and Life Bane into a lanky amber cat when both got outside in the darkness of night they what they saw brought smiles to their faces, slashed and burned husks of guards were thrown all over. Their barracks was on fire as falcons that were flying from the building were being lit on fire by will-o-whips that circled the burning building all except for one that got free of circle of floating flames and was headed toward Cantorlot. "What did mom say we should take besides souls?" "I believe she called them bits I think she said they are small shiny pieces of metal that are round and flat also that we would need some sort of cloak whatever that is but at least we have food for a while." Ember said as she was packing her bags full of bits and armor pieces she took off the dead guards while Phantom took random objects from the bodies to stuff in his bags except for a pair of racing goggles "Yeaaaaaaaah.... Hey Ember look up at that thing what do you think it is?" Asked Phantom as he looked up and pointed at moon "I don't know Phantom but its pretty." "It's called the moon it come out at a time called night. "So this is night." "It's beautiful." "It's amazing." "It's a waste of time to stare at now, we have to get out of here." "Ok then lets go." "Wait a minute Loveless, why are you a bat?" "And what are you Life Bane? "Your told us to stay out of sight, so to keep hidden and as close as possible I turned into a bat and Life turned into a creature called a cat so we can pose as pets." Answered Loveless after she flew to Phantom and rested on his back with Life Bane doing the same with Ember. "Pets?" "I'll explain once we have found a place to rest." "Fine but I want you both to tell us everything you know about the world when we get their." "Of course sugar what whatever you need." The four moved on after Phantom and Ember filled their saddlebags opening and passing through the first gate before dashing toward the second gate that's when Cerberus stopped them knocking away Phantom who wasn't paying attention with a swipe of his paw as Ember jumped back dodging it and summoning several well-o-wisps as Phantom slammed into a wall. "You ok bro?" Asked Ember as she snickered at him while launching the wisps at Cerberus to force him back. "Yea I'm fine getting slammed into a wall never hurts." Phantom said sarcastically as he pried himself and loveless off the wall. "Sarcasm doesn't fit you brother." "Shut up and help me kill it." Phantom dashed forward while Ember's kept Cerberus busy. Phantom extended his wings mid dash forcing him up wards to Cerberus's chest but he was swatted away. Phantom got back up and charged again and again but even with Ember's help Phantom keep get knocked away before he could do any real damage leaving Cerberus with small gashes. "Fine you beast I give up. Ember this soul is yours so end this I'll distract it." Phantom charged one last time but this time he had Cerberus full attention. Phantom focused on staying close to the beast while Ember planted herself with her tails gathering her wisps around her neck except one which floated in between her forward horns. "Target locked theirs no escape." Using her horns as sights she stared unblinking at Cerberus's chest the wisp between her horns started to spin as black balls with a purple aura surrounding them started to enter the rotating wisp turning the wisp form blue to dark purple ball that shrunk to the size of a ball bearing. "READY! PHANTOM CLEAR THE WAY!" Ember increased the spin on the ball to the point you could see a small twister forming around it before firing it just as Phantom landed one last hit with his horn giving Cerberus a gash running up his neck which cause him to back up  before he flipped in the air and watched the dark ball pass under him and piercing Cerberus's chest and Tirek's left arm who was watching the whole fight from his cage and the mountain before exploding Releasing a wave of demonic energy all a cross Equestria causing a mass feeling of unease. "Bro lets go." Ember opened the bottle around her neck and then ripped Cerberus soul out of his dead body and storing it for later when phantom walked next to her and saw Terik laying in his cage but he didn't notice was Tirek was waiting for them. "Wait Ember theirs another body I'm taking it's soul if its still there." Phantom walked up to Terik's cage cutting it in half with his horns. Taking a few steps forward he walked into Tirek's range calmly he watched the blood pool around the body get bigger before he stabbed Terik through the heart from the back with his tail. "How did you know?" Tirek asked staring at the spaded tail poking out of his chest. "Your blood pool was growing to fast to say your heart wasn't beating. Now say good bye." Phantom ripped his tail out of Tirek's body ending Tirek and taking his soul which Phantom had entangled in his tail. "Ok now lets go." Dropping the soul in his satchel both half demons ran through the final gate into the everfree forest and unknowingly toward Ponyville. "Yo bro?" "What?" "Why didn't you cut off that beasts legs and or neck?" "Well you see... the reason was... good question. Why didn't I?" "Sigh. Brother if I wasn't running right now I would facehoof. "Yea yea hey you know I just remembered weren't we supposed to free a beast called Cerberus to cover our tracks." "Well it doesn't matter it stands to reason that since we kill all the ponies and that beast in side the base their would be nothing to stop that beast from escaping. Unless that beast we killed was Cerberus." "Were you paying attention when mom was telling us what it looked like?" "Nope. You?" "Same." both half demons ran through the night with full saddlebags and clinging guardians on their backs until they reached the rundown castle as the sun was high in the sky. "Hey Sis What do you think about making this our base for now?" "Good idea bro for once." "I'm just gonna ignore the for once."
