//-------------------------------------------------------// Reign of Fire: Dragon Hunters -by Dustchu- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Set The World On Fire //-------------------------------------------------------// Set The World On Fire "He's coming! Its the Alpha!" The voice cried through the intercoms systems linked throughout the ship, alarms sounded and bells rang. Boot clad feet stormed through the halls, shouts for people to man the guns rang out, rifles fire sounded from above. The ship shook from the 4.5 inch Mark 8 naval gun on the deck, and anyone below deck could hear the thudding of the gun as it fired on dragons. "All hands to battlestations!" Down below in the hold, several people, both military and civilian grabbed what weapons they had and rushed topside. Those who didn't fight stayed down below holding onto their family members or tended to the sick and injured. The ones who stayed down below were mostly children, elderly or the sick, along with medics, doctors and whoever else had medical training. However small it may be. Up top, several soldiers from many nations saw quite the site. It was the city of London, and it was in flames once more. Dragons, hundreds of them flew in the skies with their smaller counterparts. Fire rained down on the city ruins in fireballs and napalm, anyone who was unlucky enough to be down there would be burned alive, however, London was empty save for the massive wingless dragons that roamed through the wreckage looking for humans to feast on. Massive dragons as big, if not bigger than most planes flew through the skies drowning out the gunfire with their ungodly roars, challenging anyone to come and face them in battle. They underestimate humanity however, as several daredevils in their own planes, Air Force, Stunt Pilots, and plane enthusiasts all flew high above in their planes. Several Spitfire Mk IIa, Blackburn B-25 Roc, Avro Lancasters, Armstrong Whitworth A.W.35 Scimitars, Kochyerigin DI-6, Focke-Wulf Fw 200 Condors and British Aerospace Harrier II, among many others. Pilots from many different nations flew in these planes, attacking the dragon forces head on with missiles, fifty caliber guns, 303's and other armaments. They fought bravely, and valiantly in the skies above, making their last stand against the beasts. Three ships sailed near London, just near the docks. One of them being the last ship of Her Majesty's Royal Navy, the HMS Northumberland. She was a 436 foot vessel armed with several different kinds of sea to air missiles, torpedos and guns, all of which were being used to fire on dive bombing spitfire dragons. The ship was the last of its kind, the rest being sunk years ago in previous engagements. Now it was the lead ship of three, two hundred people were on board, most of which were civilians as the military of old were long gone save for a few. Several choppers sat on the flight deck, old news choppers and one Blackhawk, all outfitted with fifty caliber guns. The next ship was a 827 ft Russian battlecruiser called the Admiral Lazarev. She was a Kirov class battlecruiser from russia, and probably the most armed, with her heavy cannons, rocket launchers and guns lining the deck, she's capable of bringing down any foe in her way. 2x RBU-12000 (Udav-1) 254 mm ASW rocket launchers, 10 533 mm ASW/ASuW torpedo tubes, Type 53 torpedos and SS-N-15 ASW missiles, she's a force to be reckoned with. On board this ship, Russian, African and British alike ran across the ship, taking up arms and attacking any dragons that dared to get close. over six hundred people were on board, fierce and determined to take these dragons down with them should they be destroyed. And lastly we have the largest ship, carrying most of the aircraft and survivors. The Kuznetsov‍, a massive 1,001 ft Chinese heavy aircraft carrying cruiser. This ship was the biggest of the three, and carried the most people and equipment and acted as a massive living quarters and battle station. Hundreds of crew members and civilians ran across the deck, preparing several planes and helicopters for flight. The ship's SAM launchers and AA guns fired on the dragons overhead, scoring several lucky hits and sending them crashing down into the ocean or onto the ground. These three ships were the last seaworthy vessels in the entire world, filled with soldiers and survivors from many different countries that have come together for one last stand. "Fire on those accursed beasts!" The captain of the Northumberland yelled, a forty three year old British man named Nicholas Caan. He commanded his ship like a true captain, ordering the men and women under his command with a stern yet calm attitude. he was the last of Her Majesty's Royal Navy, "If we're going down, we're taking them down with us!" Several people on the bridge, officers and civilian sailors alike didn't need anymore said. They knew what was at stake here, their very lives, and the fate of the world rested in their hands. The world has fallen, and very few people remain. There was talk of other survivor settlements hidden in the old castles of England, the subway systems of Russia, and bunkers all around the world. But actually finding them has proven to be a tough mission, and as far as these people knew... they were the only people still alive. The other two captains were not military at all. The captain of the Admiral Lazarev was a elder Russian man, one who once worked a fishing boat before taking command of the large battleship. At the ripe age of seventy two, he's still a tough old man and a trusted commander despite no military background. "Fire the rockets, starboard side!" The man bellowed, shaking his cane at the window as a spitfire dragon did a fly by, spewing fireballs onto the deck which were quickly dealt with by the firefighters on board. The next captain was the youngest, a chinese sailing student named who went by Ishi controlled the aircraft carrier. One would think someone as young as fifteen would be in school, or not a captain of a ship, let alone the monster that is the Kuznetsov‍. All kinds of aircraft sat down below in the hangar, with many more on the deck with pilots checking them before taking off to help with the fight.
