Author's Note
This whole entire fanfic is a game me and my friend were playing. I went over her house and we starting playing with our ponies. So everything that happens in this fanfic is totally random and could be a little confusing but also funny, so just sit back and read about everything that happened in this game.
Playing Games
It was a normal day in Equestria. Vinyl Scratch, as usual, woke up early every morning to wash the dishes. With wubs. And every morning, she would wake up Octavia. Octavia would go downstairs to find food already made for her and they would eat together.
This morning however, was a little different than usual. After breakfast, they would usually work on whatever music they were working on. But today they didn’t have any work to do. But whenever Vinyl had work, she would always think about Octavia. She always had a little crush on her ever since Octavia moved in with her as a room mate. Vinyl never said anything because she didn’t want to make things awkward between them but always wanted to tell that she like her, but what if Octavia didn’t feel the same way.
“So, guess what?” Octavia asked Vinyl while they were eating breakfast.
As always, Vinyl was listening to her music. Octavia wave her hoof in the air to get her attention.
“Huh? What?” Vinyl said confused.
“I was telling you something Vinyl” Octavia said. “Anyway, guess what?”
“What?”
“Your friend, Neon Lights, asked me out.”
“What!?” Vinyl shouted.
“What’s the matter?”
Vinyl didn’t know what to do. She couldn’t go out with him. What is she fell in love with him. Vinyl would be crushed. Octavia would be with somepony else and Vinyl’s crush would be taken. Vinyl had to think of something to say.
“You can’t go out with him!” Vinyl shouted again.
“Why not?” Octavia asked.
“Because I like him.”
“Oh, ok then. I’ll tell him right now.” Octavia trotted over to the house phone and started to call Neon Lights. She couldn’t tell him that.
“NO!” Vinyl yelled.
She grabbed the phone and flushed it down the toilet. Octavia was dumbfounded.
“Ok, then I’ll just use the other phone we have.” Octavia said as she started to trot over to the extra phone. Vinyl also flushed that one down the toilet.
“Vinyl, what’s the matter with you?” Octavia asked.
“Well, it’s just that… Umm… I don’t like him. He’s just a friend.” Vinyl admitted. “But, I do like a certain pony. She is grey and wears a nice pink bow everyday around her neck. And she is into music like me.”
“Oh, you mean my sister right?” Octavia asked, completely clueless that Vinyl was talking about her.
“No, she is very beautiful and she plays a musical instrument.”
“OH! You must be talking about my brother!”
Vinyl facehoofed. Her brother wasn’t even a mare.
“No, it’s…it’s you” Vinyl confessed.
Octavia froze. She didn’t know what to do or what to say. Almost right away, Octavia said the first thing that came to mind.
“Well, I had no idea that you were into mares.” Octavia face hoofed herself. Of course Vinyl was into mares, she kept saying ‘she’ over and over again. “Well, umm… I need to go do something right not.. so.. umm.. I’ll be right back.” Octavia dashed out the door.
“Way to go Vinyl, you blew it.” Vinyl muttered to herself as she put her headphones on and went to get groceries.
Octavia ran all over ponyville looking for Lyra and Bon Bon. Finally, she found Lyra sitting on a bench like a human. Well, that what Lyra would say she sits like.
“Lyra!” Octavia called out.
“Hmm?” Lyra looked at the pony running at her.
“Lyra, you won’t believe what just happened."
“What happened?” Lyra asked.
“Vinyl said… that…” Octavia’s cheeks turned pink. “…that she likes me.”
“Tavi! That’s great news!” Lyra exclaimed.
“I guess it is, but I’m not sure. I never thought about being with another mare. Lyra I need your advice on this since I know you and Bon Bon are together.” Octavia said.
“Sure, come with me.” Lyra said as she lead the way to her house where Bon Bon was trying to play Lyra’s lyre. Bon Bon spotted Lyra walking in and she right away got up and ran to her.
“I wasn’t playing your lyre” Bon Bon lied.
“Don’t lie, I saw you trying to play it.” Lyra smirked.
Bon Bon spotted Octavia behind Lyra.
“Oh, hi Octi.” Bon Bon greeted. “What are you doing here?”
“Oh Tavi is here for some advice about something. So let’s go sit on the couch and talk about it.”
“Talk about what?” Bon Bon asked.
The three ponies sat on the couch and Octavia told Bon Bon what happened that morning and how she needs advice on what to do.
“Do you feel the same way?” Bon Bon asked.
“That’s the thing, I don’t know.” Octavia answered.
“Well maybe you should think about it and you might like her back.” Lyra suggested.
“Okay, I do like her too but I didn’t think she felt that way too. So I just ran away to think about what just happened. Can I stay her for tonight? I don’t want to go home just yet, things might still be awkward.” Octavia asked.
“Sure!” Bon Bon and Lyra said together.
Lyra got out an inflatable bed and filled it with air. Bon Bon got the pillows and blankets for the bed.
“Thanks.” Octavia thanked them.
“No problem. So I was thinking that maybe you should tell Vinyl that you like her back.”
Octavia thought for a second. That was a good idea. Maybe things won’t be awkward between them if she just confessed that she liked her too.
“I should! I shall go right now!” Octavia exclaimed as she ran out the door. Bon Bon got the last pillow when she heard what Octavia said.
“Does this mean we put away the bed?” Bon Bon asked.
Lyra nodded as they put away the bed and went to cuddle with Bon Bon by the fireplace.
Octavia was almost home all of a sudden, a drunk Neon Lights coming towards her. Octavia turned around and almost right away, he kissed her. Vinyl was coming home with the groceries and saw them kissing. Vinyl froze. It felt like she just got shot in her heart. She ran home and closed the door to her room.
Octavia pushed Neon Lights away and ran back home. When she got there, she heard sobs coming from Vinyl Scratch’s room. Octavia knocked on the door.
“Vinyl? Are you in there?” Octavia asked, concerned for her friend.
“Go away!” Vinyl yelled. “I don’t want to talk right now! Not even you!”
“Vinyl. You can tell me anything.”
Still sobbing, Vinyl opened the door.
“I saw you kissing Neon Lights earlier.” Vinyl said, still sobbing.
“I didn’t kiss him, he kissed me.” Octavia explained. “Not only that, but he also drunk. I tasted that in his mouth.”
Vinyl stopped sobbing and started to sniff now and then. She stared at Octavia and smiled.
“Thank Luna, it wasn’t you that kissed him. *sniff* Anyway, since you don’t like him, I was thinking that maybe you would like to go out tomorrow night…. on… on a date? I don’t think you’re into mares, like me, but just come with me tomorrow night, please?”
Octavia thought about.
“Sigh, okay Vinyl. Only for you.”

The night of the date is here. Vinyl and Octavia were walking to a new restaurant that opened up recently. It was for all creatures, not just ponies so there was meat on the menu for griffons, and other creatures.
Vinyl pulled up a chair for Octavia who smiled and thanked Vinyl. Vinyl pulled up a chair for herself to sit. The waiter came to them as soon as they sat. It was Neon Lights! Octavia gave him an evil glare while Vinyl laughed as he approached them.
“I didn’t know you worked here too!” Vinyl Scratch said laughing.
“I only come here when I’m bored, okay!? I don’t like it” Neon Lights explained, but Vinyl can tell when he was lying.
“Anyway, I would like a Daisy Sandwich.” Vinyl requested.
Octavia said nothing. She wasn’t even looking at him until finally she said.
“I would like meat loaf, and bacon with eggs, and some chicken legs with pork chop and steak on the side.” Octavia requested.
Neon stared at her with wide eyes. That food was for carnivores, not for herbivores like ponies. Vinyl simply laughed.
“Yeah, uh, she’s an omnivore so.. uh.. yeah.” Vinyl giggled.
“What? Meat is healthy you” Octavia simply said.
Neon Lights took the order and went to get what the two ponies ordered. Vinyl and Octavia were talking about stuff before the food arrived. When it finally arrived the two ponies stopped talking to each other and ate. They would sometimes glance at each other. After dinner, the two ponies went home.
“Vinyl,” Octavia said, getting Vinyl’s attention. “I need to tell you something.”
Octavia walked up to Vinyl and put her hoof over her shoulder.
“I… I… I lo-…love…” Octavia stammered. Vinyl started to blush, she already knew what she was going to say. She was going to say that she loved her. Vinyl started to smile. Finally, Octavia said it. “I love narwals.”
