FOE : The End Of Equestria

Everyone was miserable.

We were in an stolen Enclave raptor, flying to a raider base, when one of the engines broke down for seemingly no reason. We landed, and got ambushed.

Of course our supplies were plentiful in weaponry, so we fought back and won, but not without loss.

There used to be two dozen of us and a perfectly functional raptor, but now, there were six with a flying piece of shit.

Ah, but my manners. I am Beam Splitter, a dark yellow unicorn who specialises in weaponry, especially the energy variety. We are currently in what is known as the 'Steampunk' era.

'Fuck'

'What?' I asked to the Ex-Enclave mare who spoke. 'I'm listening to the radio with an earbud, things aren't looking good. The Lightbringer is fighting too, we don't have much of a chance though.'

'Why is that?'

She snorted 'just turn your radio on through your armor will you?'

Oh yeah, that. Our armor was fitted with lots of things, including a radio. Instead of pulling out an earbud, I just turned it on for everyone to hear.

Instantly, the only sounds I could hear were gunshots and yelling. There were only a few words I could make out. 'Medic!... Grenade!.... Duck now!'

I wished I turned it off right then and there because the next words chilled me to the bone.

'The Lightbringer is down! I repeat! The Lightbringer is down!'
